The tech. person who fixed our toilets was the best. He had to remove one toilet to get at the blockage. He was very good at his job. I have liked all the tech. people and companies that Choice Home Warranty uses. I was disappointed that the toilet removal to clear the blockage, was not covered by Choice Home Warranty. So I had to pay an extra $95.00 plus my co-pay of $65.00. This is the reason that I only gave Choice Home Warranty 3 stars. I feel strongly that having to pay extra was unfair. The warranty is to fix plumbing and to fix the problems, which required removing the toilet to get at the blockage. Prior to this, I was very pleased with the warranty.

Elliot, the salesman, was courteous and offered several plans and allowed me to have some choices and selections for coverage. Like that he kept working with me to receive the best opportunities. When I have problems with an appliance, I will be calling them. The way the plan can be transferable is a wonderful idea.

I love the security of having this coverage. I don’t like that it takes several days to get a technician. Currently I’m waiting for a response to a message I sent yesterday regarding my washer. When can I expect the ecard for Lowe’s? Also how is $383 replacement costs when a new one like it is on sale at Lowes for over $500. Regular price over $800. This is the first claim that has resulted in replacement so I’m still evaluating if it’s worth renewing my policy in the future. I hope it is.

What CHW covers is good. However, it seems the cheaper repair is what is allowed. With my service call, there was a leak in the coil of the a/c meaning it lost freon. The freon was replaced but the coil was not because it was a small leak. Why not repair it correctly the first time and not have a second claim when the freon will just leak out again?

He answered the majority of my questions with ease, and provided me a level of comfort that I had not received on a previous call. He was so great that I agreed to a 6 year contract on 2 homes! Inquire about the long term contracts, and give yourself a little more peace of mind!

It was quick, efficient and the agent was extremely helpful (I had a lot of questions). He worked with me on various options and payments. At this stage, again a very new customer, yet very satisfied with the initial process. I am looking forward to working with this company and have found a lot of very good reviews online!

My ac went out on May 7th. I called Choice and they arranged for a Technician to come out on the 17th (between 3 and 8pm). No one showed up or called. Choice found another Tech company for May 27th. As temps were now high 90's. My condo was very warm. I called and begged them to get someone sooner. They found someone for Sunday night the 22nd. And he showed up with an Assistant. They also called to let me know they were 10 mins out. He was great and got it fixed! I had to pay the serve fee and since the issue with the ac was related to maintence it was another $150. Choice was unable to find someone in a timely manner. I called someone who came over within 2 hours. They told me that since the unit was over 25 years old it needed to be replaced and charged me $125. Hopefully, my ac will not go out in the middle of a Nevada summer. While the Customer Service people were very nice, not sure the hassle was worth it.

It was easy to submit our request online and by next day we received notice of scheduled appointment of service. I don't mind if it's some appliance that can wait for a few days to have service. But for air conditioning especially during hot season, I wish the service can be scheduled within a shorter period of time. Never the less the a/c technician arrived well within the scheduled time period and did a great job.

Filed a claim on Sunday 5/8, got a reply that a technician would be contacting me. Technician came to look at AC ON 5/10. Parts had to be ordered. AC was fixed on 5/20. Choice sent a great technician, who was friendly, efficient, and did a great job. Our complaint is that the item being repaired (a water line) was outside the home - which we made clear both in the automated system and in a follow up phone call to Choice. We were told after the fact that our claim was denied because our policy does not cover repairs to items outside the home, but we were charged the $65 Choice service fee anyway. Maybe the automated system isn't sophisticated enough to know the limits on our policy, but the customer service person we spoke had access to our policy. If it wasn't for the fact the technician they sent was fantastic, this would have been a one star review.

A disappointing first experience. I go through your online process to submit a claim, and that part is easy. When I submit, it tells me to call a service number as soon as possible to provide further detail. I call that number (immediately after) only to discover that you're closed. Why direct me to hurry up and call a closed call center? If I have to wait till morning, say it up front!!! You need to do a better job of setting expectations so that an already frustrating problem at home isn't exacerbated by an unexpected roadblock when trying to follow your directions to get service. I really want to like this company so I really hope my experience is recovered tomorrow.

I was a bit disappointed in the amount of time (days) between my services request and the actual day the maintenance people will arrive.. (Five days?) Nonetheless, when the service was performed, all was made right and with haste by a gentleman who knew his business and went about fixing the problem. while taking time to explain exactly what he was doing at each step. I find that a rare quality among most "mecanics.". I would. indeed, recommend this one to anyone with a hVAC problem.

CHW sent two separate companies over to inspect my malfunctioning wash machine. Both agreed it needed to be replaced and could not be repaired. They only offered me slightly more than half of the cost of replace the unit. I wish I had understood when I bought their services that they value your appliance on their own “wholesale” amount: whatever that is. They do not take into account current market prices, do not value it with the same manufacturer nor do they offer cash; a gift card to Lowe’s. I complained about that and they agreed to send me a check to do my own shopping, but again, the funds still have not arrived and can take up to 30 days to receive this small token of a “replacement” amount. This policy to “fix or replace” needs to be better explained to all potential buyers.

I am happy with CHW. I called about my water heater leaking, was able to have someone look at it within 2 days The only thing I didn't like was the first tech didn't fix it. Had to pay $85 twice for someone else to come and look at it again then wait 5 days to finally have a fix.

Getting scheduled for our repair service was quick, however the original scheduled date and time was no good as I had a doctors appointment that same date and time frame. Would appreciate a phone call to schedule such repair appointments. The rescheduled appointment is now at the end of the month. You might want to drop Sears home services and use a more reputable service in the Kansas City Metro area.

I was told it is the power or service board, I cannot remember which, however it was disappointing to know that I will have to wait 6-10 days to get it fixed. Requested to have sink fixed and submitted a separate claim for a running toilet. Plumber showed up but was only authorized to work on sink. Both claims were for plumbing, so I thought he was there to take care of both claims. Instead I received an update stating CHW could not find a tech for the toilet and I could get my own tech and submit claim, the plumber did take care of both issues.

The contractor who worked with my AC unit and was able to repair it was very good - Hilltop Plumbing, etc. Unfortunately, he was correcting a problem the earlier contractor who installed my furnace caused. The furnace installation wasn't done correctly and did not reconnect the thermostat to the AC unit, both indoors and the unit outside. It would be nice if I could receive some sort of refund.

Filing of a claim through the website was very easy. Choice Home Warranty responded very quickly indicating who would come to respond to my claim and the expected arrival time. The technician arrived during the expected time and diagnosed the problem. A part will have to be ordered before the repair is complete.

I called with a dishwasher drainage issue. The technician evaluated the problem/situation and went directly to the source of the problem. The problem was located and fixed in less than an hour. Paying for a home warranty takes away the anxiety that comes along with home ownership.

The claim process was easy to navigate and you get immediate follow up in getting service person out. Then things got tedious!! Rep showed up as promised and performed all tests and determined stove was unrepairable due to age and parts were difficult to find if even available. Then went from bad to worse. No response or updates from Choice until I called and got third party rep who promised to get back to me with update. Another week went by so called back and come to find out they tried to order parts with no success. The appliance company emailed choice on three separate occasions with this info on no parts available. Then up pops a congratulations email from choice saying they will offer a settlement This is three weeks later! Settlement offer was unsatisfactory so they assigned a settlement rep to work with us. After four weeks and several emails and calls we settled! It was a frustrating process to deal with for sure. This comes from a customer who prepaid his policy for three years and this was our only claim after two years

My garage door cable broke and the the guy came out to fix it and wanted to over charge me with an upgrade. I told him I don’t need an upgrade and fix the one I have and he tried to talk me out to fix the cable. I called Choice and told them what this guy was trying to do to me. I told them to get me another man and he came out and told me it can be fix and I didn’t need no upgrade…,
