Well the warranty does provide a certain amount of peace of mind, far too often service appointments take up to a week. It seems there are not enough qualified technicians and vendors to handle the number of incoming claims.

waiting on call over 3 hours , AHS don't call back , AHS will make it impossible for you to replace essential appliance like oven or stove... AHS ask to take the oven and stove for 5 weeks to repair . stating 5 weeks without oven and stove will force you to buy one.....

I have had American home shield for 5 plus years they started off great now the customer service sucks and when you call, the call center is over sea and you can't understand what they are saying. The contractors half won't answer the phone the other half the voice mail is full. I have been waiting for two weeks to get my air and still waiting.

Very bad service . Can’t fix washer machine almost for 1 month. I requested to talk to the manager many many times but was ignored. They changed vendor without my knowledge and still no result. Finally I spoke with manager, and no good outcome . The worst one. Going to cancel the contract.

Over a month now without AC. 2 separate techs came out and said AC needs replaced. No response from AHS. TWO HOURS on hold... 3 different days they've said they'll call me back and they never do. This is the worst customer service I have EVER encountered.

Outrageous! 3-5 hour wait time? This is fraud . This is breach of contact . If a technician cannot repair and item needs to be replaced . Good luck . They put u into a 3-5 hour cue into the so called appliance purchase department, hahahaha . They never answered. Stay away for

I am on home currently close to two hours. There has been no communication from AHS for our washer. We have been without a washer for weeks. This is unacceptable. I will not be referring anyone to their business. Look at all the reviews below.

Never had to use the service. At the time of renewal, the price almost is double, now I am having to look for someone else. I was shocked. $485.37 the first year and they want me to renew at $751.42

Worst ever experience with any customer service or a contractor. DO NOT CHOOSE! The contractors are just as bad. The plumbing work was not completed, but they had no problem cashing my check. If there was a option for a AERO rating, I sure would use it for this company and its contractors..

Because the first time they came they didn't actually fix the problem and the second time they came they didn't even know what the problem was, there was absolutely no follow-up--even though I was told there would be, and yet, both times I had to pay $75, and I've been harassed to rate the company, so here we are.

I had added well service rate to my account and was paying 7.00 dollars extra a month for 1 and a half years when I called about a broken well they said it had never been added to my account and they could not do anything. They admitted my account had gone up 18 months back but did not know why.

Save your money, hopefully there are better warranty companies out there. Today I sat on hold for 57 minutes before I got a person who could not assist me, so I waited another 25 minutes for yet another person who also could not solve the simple issue.

It takes an hour to get a representative on the phone. They never follow up on any escalated issues. The vendors they use are terrible. The Plumming vendor damaged our sink and now they don’t answer the phone return any of my phone calls in America’s home shield won’t do anything about it.

American Home shield is a rip off. Anyway, I cancelled and they are still trying to charge my credit card. I told the credit card company I did not authorize that payment and they have tried like three times. $214 a month for nothing. They are crooks.

I can not recommend American Home Shield. It has been more than 2 months since our initial service request and we are still waiting to have a non-working water heater replaced. Numerous contacts with customer service have been made but no hot water yet! Disappointed!

going on one month now, since a repairman has come out and informed me that my dishwasher was not repairable due to discontinued parts and still have yet gotten a response or any guidance from American Home Shield as to what action they will be taking. Not a happy customer.

I had AHS for over 25 years. Cancelled them yesterday because they denied paying for my Hot water tank. Their customer service rep said the tank would need to be evaluated. I could not take the chance of having water pour all over my basement. So I got plumber to replace my tank and cancelled the service contracts that I had on two houses.

Still waiting for AHS to call me regarding providing appropriate service for our Kenmore Elite dryer. Quality Appliance repair person explained that he could not repair a Kenmore dryer and it would need to be serviced by a Sears services. Still not repaired. Not good warranty service.

AHS sent repairman for the dryer, he said control board is a problem and will order. He called me back and said AHS is going to get a second opinion,... that was 10 days ago and we have no dryer Horrible service on part of AHS

You warranty or insurance plan is only as good as the providers you contract with, and the HVAC contractor in our area is absolutely horrible. For the area, they have reviews of 2. Who would select a company like that with numerous 5 star reviews in the area. They are dishonest and a total scam, and you are too for using them.

Today is the 9th day without hot water and finally they approved the replacement of my water heater, only to be told the soonest the plumber can come is 3 more days. They refuse to call another plumber to come out sooner. American Home Shield is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with. They don’t even deserve 1 Star.

I must say I am very disappointed with the issues I am experiencing with my refrigerator. I called to report a problem at the end of February and to date which is April 16, 2020 my refrigerator is still not fixed and I have been told I need to wait for a part to fix it 4 to 6 weeks. I am sure you can understand my disappointment

Absolutely horrible. Had a plumbing problem back in February. The plumber AHS gave us cancelled three times in three weeks. Finally hired our own plumber. Sent invoice they now say they never got. I called to check put on hold for hours. Told checks in the mail then no it's not never got the invoice. It's a complete scam. Save your money they suck
