My air conditioners are 15 years old. I've had numerous problems an AHS has refused to replace them. I've had 2 independent companies come to inspect (at my expense) and both agreed the units should be replaced. I've been told that AHS will never agree to replace until the units fall apart.

When technician replaced pool pump, he did not ground it correctly. When technicain replaced garbage disposal, he did not remove plug from disposal drain correctly. Had to pay another techniician $75 to correct trouble. When my washing machine blew apart, technician said it was becuase we overloaded it. Second technician advised trouble was covered under warranty. When water heater broke it cost me nearly $700 for installation of the new water heater. When garage door opener ripped away from top panel of the garage door, it cost me nearly $3400 to replace the door and opener.

I can call American Home Shield twice in one day to discuss a claim and each time I call they waste my time going over data/personal information on file. It makes no sense! They should annotate the file with the last date info was updated. It is unbelieveable that a person can call 10 minutes later and have to go through the same questions (i.e. verifying email address, phone number etc...).

I had HVAC Maintenace done and the company that did it inadvertently disabled my thermostat. I called the company and they advised me to call AHS so they can come back to fix the thermostat. When I called AHS I was told that I had to pay another $75 in order for them to send the company back out.

There was a lack of communication between AHS and the vendor who then wasn't able to service us as a customer. As soon as the vendor found out, they immediatley jumped at the chance to assist us. I don't care who is at fault, as a customer, it's AHS' responsibilty to handle their communication with vendors with whom they have contracts. No, please don't call me or try to explain away or place the blame on the vendor. Take ownership, follow up with your vendors regularly and we, the customers, will be satisfied.

Don't have an often enough need for the service. Too often, the issues that I have with my home, AHS doesn't seem to cover it. I've been in my home 11 years and have used my AHS less than 20 times. Most of those times, the cost of what I needed done would have been covered by the $75 service fee alone.

My water heater needs to be replaced. We've been waiting 3 weeks for the part to be delivered. Every time I have called American home shield to check on the repair I have been given by a different reason/excuse First I called and was told the service provider could change the type of water heater I could get. Then another person contacted the purchasing department for me and gave me a ship date. Another person told me they were not authorized to contact the supplier and had no information. It has been a very frustrating experience

They do not check out the reputation and reviews on the service companies that they arbitarily hire to do the service. They are terrible, inept and have terrible reviews on-line. I have had to pay for 3 different service calls for my fridge and it has been 4 weeks with out my fridge being repaired. My washer and dryer same thing with two repair calls for same issue over the past 2 months. As I type, I have no working washing machiene and no fridge/freezer. Terrible service and companies that they hire. Then AHS has a lenghty wait time to review your case , asking for a different service company. Like it is a scam.

My first experience with them was terrible. The vendor they recommended didn't show up for over a month. They would schedule and cancel. Since then, it has been better. Although I asked them to get a plumber's report and they never did so I had to hire a plumber outside the service.

I had a service call for my range oven. I informed the rep that my breaker was shutting off. AHS sent out a tech, the tech said I needed an electrician. Sunrize Electric came out and said I needed a new breaker and he would have to order one. He said he would contact me back, however he never did. I tried to contact Sunrize Electric for over a week with no response. Finally I called another Electrician and the breaker was repaired the same day. I then called AHS and spoke with a rep Jen#124918 who told ne I could not get a refund for the $100 service call. I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and Jen said no supervisor or manager was available. I went without my range oven for over two weeks.

A technician was scheduled for service and cancelled within a few hours because they didn't service my area. American Home Shield did not call me to inform me of what happened so I was sitting at home waiting for the tech to show up on the appointed day. I called many times but it wasn't until I called a third time that I was informed of the situation and was offered a new date.

Because the companies that they send to do the jobs are unreliable and unprofessional. They take a long time to schedule job and if you have to call them to come back like I did , they don't answer phone, and they don't call you back even though the company has reassigned them to the job and you are just supposed to wait and be without your appliance working until they see fit to come back.

We continue to have issues with the service providers not being honest. Especially HVAC and Plumbing Contractors. HVAC actually discharged Freon directly into atmosphear decharging our system then saying that there was a leak wanting an additional $1200 for "Uncovered" repairs. We had to request a second opion their finding NO LEAK just no Freon! AHS still requires us to pay full price to replace the missing freon that "Your" service tech released without a recovery system into the enviroment! Very Dishonest and possible violation of federal law!..

problem was not resolved,EJs repair sent a tech i am very diddapointed in the service i received,and i am requesting a full refund of my renewal,and also a refund for the deductable that i paid for the repair that was not done. cian out to repair my microwave oven that was suppose to en repaired but 2 days later still had the same problem. iIinformed AHS,and EJs repair that the problem still exist.l wasgiven an appointment for Monday between 12pm &4pm. The repairman didnt arrive until 5:30pm.he came in and told me to put a cup of water in the microwave and turn it on,after the microwave cut off he took too the cup of water out of the microwave and said ,its getting hot,i told him it never failed to get hot,the problem was that the microwave would randomly cut on and start heating,and the only way to stop it from running was to open the door.The repairman said it was not anything he could do,and left. The repairman arrived at my home at 5:30pm,he left my home at 5:34,which was recorded on my Ring doorbell camera.I AM VERY DISSAFIED ,because my microwave is dtill not functioning ,and I am paying for a warranty and deductiable for very

I have used American Home Shield a few times in the past and felt the people/repair service sent to help me were professional and helpful. Friday, Oct. 15th, I called AHS as I noticed a slight gas odor in my garage and requested help. Sunday, Oct. 17th, Plumb Genius sent an employee to check my water heater and to help me find source of gas leak. After checking the water heater and in the attic, he did find there was gas in the attic but was unable to find the source. He said he would put in a high priority order and turned off the gas to my house. Monday, Oct. 18th, I called Plumb Genius about help. They said they would send someone to check for the leak on Friday, Oct. 22nd between 11:00-3:00. I took off work to meet them and after 3:30 PM I received a call from Plumb Genius that said they would not be able to come. They could come on Sunday, Oct. 24th between 8-12:00. On Sunday, Oct. 24th, at 11:30 AM they called and said they couldn't come until next week. My options were, Wed. Oct. 27th or Sat. Oct. 30 (Keep in mind that I was without heat or hot water since Oct. 17th.) I told them to cancel that order and that I would get my own plumber. Which I did. On Sunday, Oct. 24th, I called American Home Shield to express my frustration and asked for help. I guess there was nothing they could do, I honestly don't remember all the details of that conversation, but it was like what I am expressing here. To say that I was disappointed in AHS and Plumb Genius is an understatement. I'm sure that I saved AHS money since my repairs weren't completed by them and I had to cover the cost of my repairs as well as my yearly fee to American Home Shield. I don't call often, but when I do, I need help. I expected to get that help from American Home Shield and am disappointed.

Why you sent me a awful HVAC guy who put the wrong motor in my AC unit and bent my fan blades, tried to sell me a $800 part that ended up being totally fine after I asked for a second opinion. Not quite sure why you charged me $75 for that second opinion when I call I was told it would be looked into but I never heard anything back. I did not want the initial HVAC guy here he was very rude when I address the issue with them so if it wasn't for that I probably would have gave you a five star.

They aren't the company they used to be. Very common to be on-hold for almost an hour just to talk to someone. They require parts to be sent from their facilities instead of local vendors being able to get them faster locally. Multiple times, vendors just showed up without calling to make sure the appointment time would work. It's bad! I own a property management company so we have to deal with AHS regularly and they continue to disappoint. I won't be renewing my own policies and will go to another warranty company.

I reported a problem with my refrigerator/ freezer and technician came to supposedly fixed it. The compressor was recharged and technician reported the problem was fixed. I submitted a mother work request for the same problem freezer temperature was too high that ice cream will not freezes up and melted like a milkshake. By me requesting service for the same problem was charged another $75.00.

Ultimately the company followed through with repairs and appliance replacement but it took 6+ phone calls and contacts to complete the tasks. Personnel were helpful on the phone but follow up was weak.

Overall, the service from AHS and the service providers has been very good. AHS customer service reps are polite and very helpful. Most of the service providers have been very good over the last five years.

Pay $71.99 monthly for service & then $75 each service call! Needed dryer repair. Was told they had no one to service that model (although I've had it repaired at least 3 times before), & I need to find my own repair person. Really?!

They've been excellent for years but lately they seem to be making their contractors order parts through them which is making repairs take a couple of weeks at times instead of a couple of days. I wish they would go back to the old way they did it.
