The salesperson talked me into it. It has been alright, though they had to come back out to redo something. They also had to come a couple of times to fix some troubles I had with the door. It wasn't really a bad problem. The service is a lot more expensive than what I used to have, so I don't like that.

I was looking for a system and at the time it seemed like Guardian had everything that I wanted. I've been having some issues with their equipment though. For instance, when I get home from work I try to use my phone to open up the door but that doesn't work sometimes. On an occasion when I left for work and tried to lock the door the system wouldn't come on. About an hour after I got to work, all of my alarms went off about 10 different times on my phone. This has all happened within the last week though, other than that it has been working great. It's just hard to protect my home if I can't arm the system.

It was in the house when I purchased it, so I just activated it. The person that installed it all was very competent, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have been good so far and the system works. We did have a false alarm situation, but I think that is because the alarm on the window was very sensitive.

The manager there was a family friend, so I thought I'd get it. During the installation it took them four trips just to get our system up and running. I've also had to pay them every time the batteries in our system need to be replaced. On those occasions they will just call us in the middle of the night, wake us up, and tell us that we have a dead or low battery.

Customer has an answer for everything and there's no need to run around to find out. There have been a couple of times that the alarm was set off when I opened the door though. It's supposed to have a 30 second delay so I can enter the number, but when I open the door the sensor is separated or something and it goes off.

I do feel however, that they don't do anything for loyal customers like ourselves, considering we've been with them for over 10 years. In my opinion, if they do new things for new customers, they can provide some benefits to their loyal clients.

We have used Guardian Protection Services for nearly 20 years. In the last week, we have had an issue with a faulty smoke detector - but we have 2 systems -- a set that is hardwired in the house + the Guardian system. Guardian made a visit to replace the bad detector. Problem still not solved. We replaced the entire hard-wired home system - problem still not solved. Guardian made a return trip. Denise N, was persistent in finding the cause. She investigated both of our systems. Turns out there was a faulty CO plug in detector lying on a piece of furniture causing the beep. Not Guardian's issue at all. I appreciate Denise's tenacity and friendliness. Please extend my thanks to Denise again! Sincerely, Louise Frock

Denise N came by to check my equipment since I am taking over the home account. She called me ahead of time to tell me she was on the way over and arrived within her estimated time frame. I was pleasantly surprised to find a female technician and immediately felt at ease. Denise was so friendly and personable. She took the time to discuss pertinent information in layman's terms. In addition, Denise took the time to inform me about a package where I could get all my batteries replaced while she was there and for a great price. Denise was so helpful and patient as I moved items to provide access to the alarm box and even offered suggestions to streamline the process next time. Some of my units were painted over (with paint colors I no longer had on hand) and Denise took the time to open them without disturbing the paint. She was conscientious with her work and always explained what she was doing. Denise also took the time to replace the Guardian lawn signs and replace the sticker on my door. Before she left, she contacted Guardian for a final check and made sure everything was on point before she left. Denise also wrote down the code on the flap of my unit to utilize should someone force me to shut off the alarm (it silently notifies the police). She told me how other home security services charge for that service, but Guardian does not. In a nutshell, I felt as though I knew Denise my entire life. She was knowledgeable, informed, yet so down-to-earth. As I mentioned before, I appreciate the fact that Guardian has a female technician on the field. This personalized service and the fact that Guardian does their own monitoring is the reason I will never utilize a different home security service. I have also recommended the company to friends and family over the years. Keep up the fantastic work!

Great service!.. We just had a very old door sensor replaced (17 years) and the service technician was pleasant, professional and informative. As a former sales representative for Commonwealth Security and Rollins (both out out of business for several years), I probably see the service with a different perspective. I evaluated companies carefully and Guardian is top notch!...We've been a customer for 17 years and have always been pleased. The folks at the monitoring station are fast, friendly and helpful. I notice everything: Clean and organized van, clean uniform and a technician proud of their company...When we move south in a few years, we will stay with Guardian!

Derek B. and Wayne H. came out to help troubleshoot our WAP units. One of the issues seemed to be my FIOS router to start out. Data was still coming through the land connection however the router's wifi wasn't taking the password setup. I called FIOS while they worked out the WAP issues. FIOS tried to up-sell me even without the router issue being fixed... wow. Derek and Wayne explained everything to us, set up new passwords, fixed the video doorbell and even let us know about updating our smoke alarm in the kitchen to prevent false alarms that keep happening. They were very pleasant and friendly the whole time... that is priceless.

Dear Guardian. I would like to take this opportunity to commend your service team who worked tirelessly to assure our investment in your company was worthwhile. We spent more than $40,000 to integrate your technology into our new home and have experienced numerous challenges with getting everything to work properly, including having other service technicians visit our home. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful at solving everything. Then we had the pleasure to meet Denise N., who is one of your veteran employees, and took it upon herself to assure us that she would not allow these problems to go unaddressed and that she’d see to it that every issue was solved to our satisfaction. She then enlisted another coworker, Patrick M., with the expertise needed to solve the problems that she couldn’t herself. They then traveled a great distance, I believe from Delaware and Maryland, to work tirelessly in our home for the day. They made significant progress, but also recognized there was more to do. So they scheduled another full day the following week and returned to address all else. It’s truly rare that we make the effort to write about our customer satisfaction, but we feel it is entirely warranted in this case to go the extra mile, just as they did for us. Dynamic Customer Service and Overall Technical Service Experience! Our home was built in 2013 with Guardian as our security alarm and audio system provider. Recently, we needed service on our alarm system after we attempted to switch cable companies. The Guardian Technician, Patrick M., arrived, was courteous, professional, very, very knowledgeable and respectful. Patrick immediately determined the issue with our security alarm system which was a result of one of the two cable companies attempting to align our cable lines, etc. More so, he was able to resolve the issue very quickly. We also had two other issues with our built-in audio system for which I had scheduled a separate service call thinking they would require more time. Patrick reviewed those two issues as well and rather swiftly again determined the issue and resolved the primary problem and gave me a solution to complete the final concern while he was on-site. In essence, we were able to basically resolve all 3 issues in one visit which took approximately 1 hour; very impressive! Again tremendous kudos to Patrick M. for dynamic job well done!!!

After having several service calls to remedy an ongoing issue with our home security system, I contacted customer service to cancel the agreement. Kim was the very first person that I spoke with and after listening to my issues she immediately began to work to retain my service. Kim was attempting to get technical support on the line but she wasn't able to get anyone. Kim advised that Beth from tech support would call me. Immediately after ending the call with Kim, Beth called! I was extremely impressed. Not to mention Beth was able to get me an appt the very next day with Mike. Mike A and Wayne H were the techs that came in and saved the day!! Did I mention we had another service tech at the house 4 days prior. Back to Mike and Wayne. These two had patience and rewired everything to ensure that everything was running properly. All I can say is that I was very satisfied!! Due to how many times a technician had been out for service appts, this service visit was done without any cost. After Mike and Wayne left, Kim called me to confirm that the service was complete and if I was satisfied. Kim confirmed that the service appt would be free of charge and I would receive a 50% credit from th previous service appt that was approximately $600+ All I can say is my expectations were exceeded! Kudos to Guardian Protection Services for continuing to have my service and trusting them to keep my family safe for years to come!!

We had a bit of trouble getting the right equipment for the upgrade we wanted. But, thanks to Walter O and the loyalty department it was straightened out immediately. We need to give a HUGE shout out to Walter O, our technician. He is the best! He is a great asset to Guardian Protection, not only for his technical knowledge and pride in his work, but for the way he puts the customer at the heart of everything he does. I was a CEO of a very successful company that had tremendous growth because we took care of our customers. Truthfully, we were thinking of switching to another service, but, because of Walter O. we decided to stay and will sing Guardian Protection praises to our friends and family. Thank you Walter O.!

Ever since the doorbell/camera was installed, it was wobbly, not secured well and did not always record activities. Over time and weather, it functioned intermittently and was not dependable in its functions. Technical support through phone calls diligently tried to resolve the issue but it needed onsite attention. Today, a service person (Chuck N) informed of the progress and then worked with me to remove old information on the site and add new information as well as ensuring equipment and changes made were functioning to fullest capacity. He cleaned up the outside area after he finished. Chuck also ensured I understood all actions taken. I appreciate his professionalism in working with me the customer to understand the issues and work completed. Chuck is a great ambassador for Guardian as well as a professional. Thank you, EJC

We had a wonderful technician who did the initial assessment for a substantial upgrade in November of 2017. All was set and agreed upon and he assured us that someone would be in touch to set up an installation date. No one contacted us for almost two months. We almost changed companies but called Guardian to ascertain if they were still interested. They apologized and immediately set up a time for install. However, the new technician who came out was not given the detailed notes that the first technician had photographed and initially sent to corporate concerning the hardware and agreed upon placements. After a couple more weeks, the initial technician returned to install the system using his original notes. Aside from what I am sure was a computer system communications failure, the technicians were top notch in courtesy, knowledge and customer service especially Derick B. #2591. He more than ever made up for the office blunder with his eagerness to please and installation expertise to mesh the old and new systems. We were so glad we requested his return. Because of this, we did not abandon Guardian, a company we have been associated and comfortable with for over 17 years.

I have spoken to several people from different departments and every single person gave me outstanding service! If anyone could not fix an issue I was having, they connected me to someone who did. My brother was the one who initially recommended Guardian for my security. After researching the Top 50 security companies, not only were you highly ranked, but I read nothing but great things! I have already recommended Guardian to several of my friends and will continue to do so. We have used Guardian for 6+ years now. They did their original installation in my NEW house in Southern Delaware and they were flawless in their workmanship, customer courtesy and expertise with the Guardian System. Between their customer service department and the actual installers, ALL of my security concerns were addressed and resolved to my complete satisfaction. I recently upgraded to wireless/cell connectivity (landline still available, Just-In-Case) which now gives me instant access to my security system from anywhere in the country. Works as promised! My next upgrade will be my doorbell, with a doorbell camera. They might not be the cheapest system out there; but they give you what you pay for. What is your safety, security and peace of mind worth to you, in our increasingly violent world? 'Safe in the Suburbs' is only for Dreamers. My 9mm is my backup system.
