Quote Required for Pricing

Before interested customers can receive a breakdown of monthly monitoring fees, equipment costs, and other related details, they must obtain a free quote from True Protection.

While this is not an uncommon practice in the home security industry, most customers like to know what price points they’ll be working with ahead of time so as to better compare home security providers. 

Undisclosed Contract Terms

True Protection has not as yet disclosed the terms of its contract, which can include contract length, startup fees, early termination or cancellation fees, and automatic contract renewal.

One of the most prominent complaints among home security customers is the lack of clarity relating to the provider’s contract.

And while True Protection claims it offers customers “flexible” contracts, providing these terms upfront would go a long way toward supporting that claim.

Cellular Monitoring Only

True Protection’s home security systems only operate on a cellular network. The company has cited other monitoring options like landline and Wi-Fi monitoring as “outdated” and easily bypassed.

That said, these additional monitoring options can prove useful as a backup system in the event of a cell tower outage, and provide customers with further peace of mind.

Despite being less than transparent regarding pricing and contract terms, the company possesses many of the qualities homeowners have come to expect from a quality home security company.

The overall service is good. There are just a couple of items that could be better, for example there is a 2 minute delay of being informed the system detected something. Also, there are times when I clean out the saved video, and a week or two later, there is a flood of video from the time frame I already deleted. Just odd that those didn't come up sooner.

The doorbell camera has issues all the time and the app is frustrating with the video contact, but everything else works. I was also promised a $100 visa gift card as part of the sign up promotion and I never received it even after emailing and asking about it. So that was super disappointing

I have called multiple times to correct my account I have four locations with you. I was given the wrong permit for the last location and it was returned by the county in the mean time the city fined me $500. I also had a request for a service call which was a no call no show to the house. Half my system at the house does not work I have called true protection three times to rectify it he situation amd have not received a call back or any contact whatsoever.

The call service to true protection is great. But the actual surveillance is horrible. My cameras fill up their recording capacity in no time. When I had an emergency I couldn't even use my system to view any necessary footage. The doorbell cam is slow to open as well as the chime is broken.

Love Tapia

I’ve only had the service and equipment for 5 months and the some of the equipment has failed. When I try calling for service they want to send a tech out for $60 plus I have to be home during their business hours which I work myself at that time as well.
