Possible Long-Term Monitoring Contracts

Full-service monitoring subscriptions are either month-to-month or require a 36-month contract. The length of the contract depends on the type of system package purchased. 

Those who subscribe to the 36-month contract are subject to an early termination fee of 80 percent of the remaining monthly charges of the contract term. Customers should check the subscription policy of their selected package before checking out.

We love having the app that lets us monitor the system and turn it on and off from our phones. When I first setup their home security system, there was a problem with getting some of the documentation with the city processed correctly. Diana. I have had this system for a year and a half and the criminals are laughing at me. They have disarmed the signal when I am at the mall, taking my dog for a walk, they have stolen goods, worst yet swapped goods like sneakers etc. now I have not changed the system because I can't afford another one right now but wireless security is a false sense of security. Thankfully they are not coming in to hurt me but what if that was the case so scary. Even the police do not want it in their homes because they all know they can disrupt the signal very easily. I have called the company and they always tell me they see nothing on their end. This is ridiculous when I get the proof this company will have to compensate me for the false sense of security. Not a good investment at all I am highly dissapointed.

This system is just too expensive and if you try to cancel, you are strong-armed into keeping it. Larry from customer service threatened to turn me over to a credit bureau if I do not pay. I have turned it on once since I have had it. I wish to return it and told that I am in a contract for another 10 months (even though I have had the system for 7 months). Not worth it, not worth it, not worth it.

I picked Frontpoint because of their combination of alarm and home automation features. I've got a number of technical issues with most aspects of my system. However, their customer support has been good. They are effectively a reseller of GE and Alarm.com services, and I think that really holds them back. However, they also continuously fix issues and the system does get better and better over time. Software is really their Achilles heel, and because most of it is created by other companies, I think they have little power over it. But, they do try, have fair pricing, and really care when things are going wrong. I appreciate all that, and plan on sticking with them.

I had the system for 18 months now. Customer service is terrible had problems with my system since purchase, numerous time I would get notifications about the door sensors, talked to customer service and techs, explained what was going on. They advised the problem was resolved took six months for them to realized the sensors was misnamed in their system. The keypad backup battery went dead and the company wanted to charge me for a new keypad because I am not on a contract instead of giving me or selling me a new battery. I am completely conceding going with a different company or go without, unfortuneIy live in a rural area.

I have had Frontpoint for two years and customer service has been very good. Police showed up on a false alarm in 10 minutes. The equipment is GE and Camera's are Alarm.com. Most companies use both. A dead back up battery has been my only issue.. Good control module and sensors. Easy to install and tech support has talked thru set ups and issues quickly.

We have had this product in 3 different homes for the past 6 years. We enjoy being able to move our sensors and configure them to suit our needs. The Customer Service is excellent - very responsive to our requests as well as to alarm scenarios. Recently we moved to a city where there is an elevated crime rate due to drug abuse so this system gives us an enhanced sense of security. We like the fact that it is wireless (so there are no wires to cut by any potential burglar) and we can control settings via our cell phones (remote activate and deactivate etc.) The monitoring costs we consider reasonable and the staff have always treated us with great respect.

After looking at some internet surveys, Frontpoint seemed like the company with the less amount of complaints, so I decided to go with them. Their customer support has been very polite and efficient, but setting up the system is where everything got complicated. I'm not a real technical person, and the little contacts have been falling off the doors. I have 2 doors that are not protected because right now of that. Putting that aside, they're very good about calling me to see if everything is okay when the alarm goes off. Like I said, my only issue is with the system. I'm not technically savvy, and arming and disarming the system is not easy for me either.

Everything's been good so far. Customer support has answered all of my questions, and it was pretty simple to install the system. Plus, I really liked that I could customize my plan and take it to another home if needed. Unlike my previous provider, I could arm the system at night without making too much noise. That's something important for me because I have 2 babies. The only thing I don't like is the logos we put on the windows or front yard. They're a little too flashy, and they just don't seem sophisticated enough to alert a burglar that there's some type of security system. It almost looks fake.

Every time I had an issue, their customer support were always there to help, and they were courteous in the process. There was only one issue during the setup process. One of the fences fell off due to the adhesive they had sent me, so they just sent more and since then, I haven't had a problem with them.

My mom inadvertently opened the door once, and since she forgot to disarm the system, the monitor detected it. A representative was online with her right away, making sure everything was fine, so I'd say the system works perfectly. I just think it's a very good company.

From what I read online, Frontpoint was the highest rating company that had the easiest system to use, so I chose them. Installing it was very seamless, and I really like the fact that it lets me know if my garage door is open, or if I forget to arm the system at night. Plus, I can disarm it from my phone directly, so I really like it!

So far, their representatives have been pretty well. They reply the emails pretty quickly, and the wait time is quick as well. Plus, it wasn't hard to install the system. Actually, the reason I chose them was because they had good reviews and offered a reasonable price.
