I have it through my job. I don’t go to the doctor much so I don’t use it much. I did use it when I had my colonoscopy and had to work with the customer service department because the hospital kept coding it wrong. It was suppose to be completely paid for by insurance but I was getting charged for it. When I called they gave me the code to give to the hospital so they could revise it. The people at BCBS were very helpful and nice when they explained insurance questions I had.

We currently use BlueCross BlueShield and it is great. It's a well-known insurance company and is accepted by every doctor I use. I wish the website was more simple and modern, but it works fine. I would love to see a benefit from getting steps in each day. Our old insurance would offer up to $20 a month for me and my spouse that would go into our HSA and it helped a lot of helped get moving on the slow days to be able to get that money.

I've had BlueCross BlueShield coverage for as long as I can remember. Overall they are a great company and have been a joy to work with. They are very prompt in their claim processing and have an easy online patient portal so I have easy access to my bills, claims, and insurance policy information. I have also called their customer service for general information questions and have always found everyone to be EXTREMELY kind and helpful, going out of their way to help me find the best care and get the best service. They have been absolutely amazing to work with!

Blue Cross Blue Shield has been so consistent over the years. I have a chronic disease and have not had to worry about not having good coverage. I rarely have to pay for my expensive medicine and that is much appreciated. I will always choose BCBS over any other health insurance. The Healthcare Marketplace has provided access to BCBS in both Texas and Arkansas for me over the years, and for that, I am sooooo grateful. Customer service at BCBS has always been there for me as well. I definitely recommend it to anyone that asks.

I have had this insurance my entire life. I have always loved it and every time I had questions, I’d call them and it was so easy to get the answers. I also got the add on Dental and Vision platinum which pays for my eye exams and dental exams! This is extremely helpful because I did not have to spend a ton of time trying to find what was right for me, I just called and they helped me out!

A huge company that has good customer relations and service. I travel a lot and often need medical service when I am not home. The have helped coordinate the refilling of medications and have given me names of local providers who are quick to relay my information back to my home base quickly. A national company with local service values. I am since retired and my company pays the majority of my wife's and my cost.

I have the BCBS of Tennessee PPO plan, and it has been excellent. It is more expensive than their HMO plan, but if you might have any extensive health problems, it's worth it. Every specialist, every test, even second and third opinions have been covered, with no questions asked. When you're sick, it's wonderful to not have to hassle with your insurance company. And, when I've had questions about coverage, etc, they answer all your questions via chat or phone and are very clear and helpful.

Great insurance have had it for years! Usually I don’t understand anything about insurance but if I call there one 800-number they will fully explain to me the my benefits and what I qualify for which is very helpful. My employer lets us decide between Blue Cross Blue Shield and two other companies and I always select Blue Cross Blue Shield. Even my doctor sees that this is the way to go!

I've been with BCBS for most of my life. They have been great. I started when I was 26 years old and I am now 57. Their physician network is terrific and plans are great and I have never had a problem with them covering my expenses. NEVER EVER. I started my own company 5 years ago and we only offer BCBS plans because of the exceptional quality. Their national and international coverage is top notch.

I've had Bluecross for several years now and they have really stepped up their game with their mobile app. The fact that they have a doctor on demand in their app is great. I used them a couple of months back when i was traveling in Miami, i was sick as a dog. I was able to video conference with a doctor for free, they called in the antibiotics to a pharmacy close to the hotel and it was a seamless experience. I was pleasantly surprised as i didn't think of a health insurance company to have a great mobile app but they really do.

Our family was insured by BlueCross Blue Shield for many years through my employment before I retired. They had very good coverage and we got what we expected from our coverage. The only negative was when we had to call about each claim that was denied as out of network when they were actually covered because the ambulance is on a rotation to emergency rooms and the charges are covered in spite of the ER being technically out of network. I wish they could have tagged the file so we didn't have to call on every claim but they paid and took care of it.

We were insured by Blue Cross Blue Shield through my husband’s employment for nearly many years. My husband was hit by a truck while riding his bicycle and was severely injured. Everything was covered as per the policy. The only thing that was annoying was that every submission for the same accident which included many providers was first denied as out of network. I had to call for each one to explain that he had been taken by ambulance to the hospital that was designated and hospitals are rotated which is covered. They didn’t flag the file that this was the case which seemed like it should have been automatic.

We’ve had this insurance company for an entire year. Because were a small business owners we pay quite a bit per month. It was one of the better costing insurances for our needs. We did have a really high deductible and this year it raised another $500 so that sucks. But considering I had a High risk pregnancy last year and babies Born more than nine weeks early we definitely got the better end of the deal with insurance. There are a few things that I felt like should’ve been covered that they kind of squeaked by and didn’t pay for. There’s a few prescriptions that I felt like when the doctor prescribes them they should pay for. But at the end we went back with them again This next year

When I was first married my husband and I lived back east and our insurance was BlueCross BlueShield. We were well taken care of especially after our first birth of our son at Humana Hospital. We had some complications and the representative we worked with was so helpful in getting all of our benefits and all of the customer service reps were awesome!

We have used Blue Cross for the past 10 years. They send out these handy statements periodically that let you know exactly the amounts they have covered on doctor visits and how close we are to meeting deductible. They have been excellent with their customer service whenever I needed to call them about coverage. Most doctors and pharmacies accept their coverage. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

BlueCross BlueShield has been my insurance in the past and I think that their number one selling point is quality of service and care. They also have a plan that doesn't have a lot of out of pocket expense as most of the care is included in the plans. They have great customer service and the professionals that I worked with were very comprehensive in their exams and treatment.

I have dealt with a lot of health insurance companies, but BlueCross Blueshield has always given exceptional service. I had another company for a time and had to check on every bill because the coding and billing was incorrect, while BlueCross Blueshield didn't get it wrong even one time! And if I ever had questions about what providers were participating, or anything else, they were always to kind and helpful. It was such a breath of fresh air.

Ugh. The worst! I have had BCBS for my entire life, I’ve worked at a doctors office and dealt with other companies. Blue cross is notorious for u detonation h doctors and refusing to pay based on a whim. They are impossible to get on the phone and if you do happen to find someone who is mildly helpful it is impossible to call them direct or request them the next time you call. Out of network they do not pay providers directly, the patient had to pay up front and they make you wait several months to get reimbursed, if you’re lucky.

I'm a 2 time breast cancer survivor, and I need to have a bi-annual breast MRI. BCBS has always denied to cover this test. My monthly premium is 570.00 per month and 6500.00 deductible. My Dr. has appealed it and the test has continued to be denied. Patients should be able to get the care required to stay on top of a health care issues without a fight.

I'd like to say that my company decided to go with BCBS because of the service and promises to their employees. As soon as money changed hands it all changed for the worst. I have been on a type 2 diabetic med for over 2 years. and been using Ozempic that has been approved by BCBS of Texas . As soon as BCBS of Alabama took over. They are declining my RX and telling me to take other drugs. all of the supporting documents have been supplied by the Doctor and patient to BCBS of Alabama that I have been on Ozempic for over 2 with good results. When does an insurance company tell the patient what drug to take. Do give credit to the customer service call in. they take all the request to pass on the review committee and have seen that I have given all the proper supporting doc for approval.

I was told by friends and family that this is a good company. It seemed to be true until my wife who is on my plan tried to get a procedure pre-certified and BCBS essentially refused to do it based on nothing as far as I can tell? It was as if their automated system had an issue with some input and BCBS couldn't fix it. The patient help line did all they could but admitted they couldn't fix it and all they could do was refer it to precert which was per them overloaded and inadequate. The Drs office waited on hold for hours and when I tried to contact the precertification line I was on hold for over an hour (twice) before the recording hung up on me. This is service? I eventually got through and the guy at BCBS said that even though the Drs office had done the submission via their system they would have to fax the request as well to a special number. We're still waiting for service and meanwhile my wife is going without critical health care?!? Will BCBS refund my premiums for their lack of service? I'm not holding my breath. I wish I would've stayed with Humana.

BCBS is now a nickel and dime inc. co. This past month I went to the doctor for routine blood tests and I got the surprise of my life this time when the bill came. I was charged $606 from labcorp then BCBS said they gave me a "discount" then the bill was down to $49.50 which was my share, WTF? When I called BCBS the guy tells me they never paid labcorp a dime, so how am I on the hook for this and the provider was in network. Both of these companies are crooks and need to be investigated for this here in MN. I plan to take my complaint on BCBS to the Atty. general of MN. Keith E and we all know who he put in jail last year. After Dec. of this year I will dump BCBS and just use my Medicare with a supplement carrier. BCBS sucks and their people are horrible to deal with always giving you the run around.

I'd rather go to the dentist for a root canal than have to deal with administrative issues with BCBS. I've been trying to add my daughter as a dependent on my existing account for nearly a month. I've spent hours on the phone with "customer service". Each time I call in, I have to start the entire saga over again. They've had me fill out two completely different applications, and can't seem to get her added. First, you can only fax or mail documents to them. Seriously! I have to get in the car, drive down to a fedex store and pay to get them the documents. Or, I could just drop them in the mail. Nearly a month in, and they now show both applications they made me fill out as incomplete. Meanwhile, my daughter doesn't have coverage.

Warning to women out there, I had not experienced this problem until I had BCBS, if are on birth control and lose it, going on a trip and need to refill before you go to take it with you, a patch comes off in the bath and you have to replace it early, are taking it the full month to skip periods, etc, BCBS has a limit on how early you can refill the prescription. You could find yourself without ability to get your prescription for a couple of weeks if you cannot afford it yourself. If this happens on a weekend you are SOL getting a hold of anyone at the company in my experience.

It is not affordable for a single mother as me, with only one salary. The deductible are very expensive. Unfortunately, it is the insurance provide for my company. And I need a health insurance because I have health conditions and I take medications every day. So, I am scare that I can't be able of receive a good treatment without an insurance. I have to recognize that it take some advantage: you have a long list of doctors and specialists with this plan and you don't need authorization of the plan to go with a specialist and to make laboratories or procedures as endoscopy, etc.

Overall they have been a good provider. Some of the things I think they could do a better job. My child had to have an x-ray done and the doctor didn’t have the equipment in their office so we had to go to the hospital and do an outpatient one. And of course they didn’t cover it because of it.

This is the worst insurance me and my husband have ever had. With a high deductible of 10,000 and the only coverage that gets 100% without meeting the deductible is preventative. The reason i'm giving such a bad review is i learned that prenatal care is considered preventative. Blue Cross does not consider prenatal care preventive and will not cover one visit until we meet our $10,000 deductible. This does not include our premiums that my husband and i pay each month. There is no point in having this insurance when they cover nothing but a routine physical. i should just save the premium and put in into a health savings account. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the worst insurance company out there.

I have been with Blue Cross for over 10 years. And I have found that they are average in every way. Their customer service is mediocre. I called to get help finding a breast pump that was covered under insurance, and they were unable to help me and told me to just buy one and then maybe it would be covered. I spent many hours on the phone trying to get an answer before a supervisor finally gave me that response. There are many locations that are out of network for them and it makes it difficult to find a provider. I often get reminders from companies that they have not paid out their portion of the bill and in some cases it has been after months of follow-ups that they payout or send reimbursements.
