we had BCBS through my husband insurance and it was quite expensive. on top of that we still had to pay a deductible and co insurance. office copay was $45 and specialty was $50. Prescriptions was anywhere from $25 - $45. If it wasn't for the FSA plan i wouldn't be able to afford the copays and prescriptions. customer service was friendly.

I have bluecross through work. I wish my individual plan was a little better but overall they have been good. Somtimes can be slow, especially because there was an issue with my wife having a second insurance.

Blue Cross has great service, customer service, patient care and easy billing. The only negative thing is not being able to get some things covered as much as I would like (ex: chiropractic care etc.).

I have not been very happy with any insurer but BlueCross has come through when they had to. I have 33K of hospital bills that we argued about for 9 months and they finally paid. They don't cheat, but they try hard to minimize what they have to pay.

I really enjoyed using BCBS. Coverage was good overall and I was pleased with the number of qualified doctors offered in my plan. One concern was pricing. It seems rates are always going up.

They charged me almost 200 each pay period (2weeks)just for my coverage. High co-pays to see a doctor. They were ordered to refund people that they over charged, I haven't received anything as of yet.Big lawsuit, class action lawsuit

I have an HMO plan from Blue Cross Blue Shield through work and it is the worst insurance I have ever had. They make it impossible to find a doctor. Almost no providers accept this plan and when you call to find in care networks and providers they give you the run around. It is absolutely garbage insurance and I feel like I'm being scammed.

Ridiculously expensive. Coverage is average. Family plan as a federal employee for 2 adults and 2 children is $600 a month for the middle package. There’s a cheap, middle, and expensive. When I was working at a casino I paid half for the same coverage.

It was good in Louisiana, but now that I live in Georgia it is awful!!!!! Provider search tool is terrible and even if you get it to work there are are a lot of barely qualified. Providers with educations from schools that rank low Globally are not ok with me.

What a terrible company. To start, they assigned us a PCP who is RETIRED! Wasting a month of my policy. Then I get reassigned to a new PCP, who doesn't even work as a PCP and is not accepting new clients. Can't even fix it over the phone because everyone on their member services number barely speaks english. Avoid Blue Cross at all costs.

This is a horrible insurance company that will try to put up as many obstacles so that you give up on getting your claim approved. When you call be prepared to spend an hour on the phone being transferred from person to person to get an answer. We have been trying to get our claim approved and it took about two years before we got an approval.

It’s one of the worst dentals coverage out there, doesn’t cover not even half I pay lots out of my pocket since I started with them. I will cancel my dental benefits because of the bad coverage. HDS was lots better & I always paid so little, they used to cover lots of my bill.

I mailed in a form to cancel coverage and BS lost it. When I called to ask why they are still billing me they said they never got the form and refused to reimburse me for the coverage I did not want. Even if they were half the price of the competition, I will never do business with these crooks again.

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas company is terrible! They gave me a very limited number of  options laboratories and they are only  bad reviews and up to 3,5 stars. My plan is premium, but it comes with not much more good benefits. I am very disappointed and I will not continue to stay a member of that company.

They denied to offer me coverage because they decided out of thin air that I had a preexisting condition, even after my doctor wrote to them saying that they were incorrect. Because i had been rejected for coverrage, I ended up having to pay exceedingly high premiums for health insurance with another company.

They try to get out off paying claims! They try to over rule your Doctor by requiring pre approval for needed medication or forcing you to take sub par med and failing two cheaper meds before allowing the meds your doctor recommends because the are needed or work better..

I have used Blue Cross for over ten years but will never use them again. In short, the use their ability to restrict coverage via their “investigational” terminology. I thought that our outrageous premiums provided protection but it does not. I hope and pray we go to a single payer system that minimizes this type of fraudulent behavior.
