I am a current customer of NDR... When I started with them I paid biweekly amount of 143.50.... I changed my payment to once a month and suddenly I am paying 323.00... I pay for the legal every month and still get taken to court. I am confused as to how they settle for the lowest amount possible..... considering their fee is a % of what they settle your debt for. It does not give them much incentive to settle low now does it. I field constant calls regarding settlements they know my monthly payment will not cover.... They also tried to get me a loan through Liberty ( Which shares the same physical address as National Debt Relief. Sorry to say I'm kind of stuck with these people now. My first settlement was settled low, but the 700.00 charge to settle it Also put the final amount way above what I owed in the first place. I will be on the look out for another company or maybe when I do have some extra funds I will cancel and negotiate on my own..... One thing for sure there will not be a 25% fee when I settle the debt! Most of my stuff is already charged off and in collections, so they should be ripe for low settlements. I often wonder if these ridiculous settlements are made up, considering that once you hire NDR, you can no longer speak directly with the collections companies or creditors. I agree with most of the reviews... STAY AWAY! File Bankruptcy!

I enrolled in April. 18k in debt. The first card they settled was my discover with an original debt of 1944. They agreed to 1467 and charged me a 486 fee. You tell me. Is it worth it? They charged me what they saved me and that is not counting the monthly transaction fees and the optional 12 a month for legal service if I do get sued.

I've been with the NDR for 8 months with on time payments They settled one account out of 4. I thought things were going well. I opted for the monthly fee which provides legal security as well. Experienced a minor stroke and other health issues in April. Again, payments have not faltered. I got a call yesterday with a sales pitch about what a great customer I have been and I have been chosen for this amazing opportunity. They claim to be able to settle all of my debt in 90 days at an amazing % since my last account was settled for less than 50% of my debt. . . by their top notch negotiation team. Sound too good to be true? It is. They want to pass me along to a rep from Liberty for a loan. They want me to take out a loan at 21% interest so they can get their money up front. The sales pitch continues that if I don't I may have to pay my entire debt or a very high percentage of it if NDR can't negotiate it down (I know. . .what the heck?) . . .then I would possibly face companies taking me to court, and of course that would be very stressful. No one seems to be able to tell me how much this loan is for either. I have to agree to the terms up front and then they'll tell me a few weeks from now how much the loan is for. Are you kidding? I paid for legal protection, remember?. I agreed to a preset payment which would get me out of debt in 3 years, remember? If I can pay more, I will. Sending me out to loan sharks puts me back right where I started. I don't know if this is a new direction the company is taking, but I'm considering contacting the district attorney's office and filing a complaint.

I was lied to the very first day by NDR by two workers. This should tell you right away stay away. Little did I know about all the problems that are still happening. They tell me that I spoke with someone NO one ever called me. Yesterday a Manager was suppose to call back the manager never did. I requested Two years for a HOspital bill be a Priority NO onw II repeat NO one has done anything. The last women I spoke me that NDR called in May no one answered the phone . IT's two years wake UP!Please stay away it has cost me more money dealing with company that you could imagine. You don'y get the 40 per cent off the creditors balance in one case I paid more. I paid this company a lump sum to pay 3 bills off. They decided to do it in installment .There isn'y enough money to pay for the three remaining creditors. GO THE BANKRUPTCY ROUTE MUCH CHEAPER AND NO HEADACHES LIKE THE ONE I GET WHEM I DEAL WIYH THIS COMPANY' PLEASE STAY AWAY.

One star is Far more than this company Deserves, if there was negative stars i would give 5. I start my debt relief with this company because i was in a tight spot and they had good reviews. However shortly after enrolling I Inherited Substantial money. At that point repeated call an pleaded with the Company to settle all of my creditor immediately that i am willing to Pay more then what I enrolled into the program for. Several months pass with many pleas to settle to no avail. Then I revived a court summons for one of my enrolled accounts (witch they haven't even started negotiate on ). Finally after 8 months of pleading with National Debt Relief they Finally settled my Accounts. However after reviewing my Statement I Noticed $3151.02 in random service fees that wasn't expressed in neither my service contract nor verbally, and they say I still owe them $1899.07. So my recommendation is run for the Hills and warn anyone to stay away from this company. Not one person i spoke to with their company fallowed threw with what they say just a lot of false promises.

don't think I ended up saving any money in the end. I began the program with 3 debts totaling $13,800 and settled with $8,700 which is great. BUT there is a $3k fee to participate in the program, and in order to pay off the settlement amount I was told the best route was to take a loan through an affiliate company with an interest rate of 23.46% APR. In addition my credit score dropped significantly because of closing my credit cards AND not making payments on them for 9 months. There is also a W9 given at the end of the year for forgiven debt taxes owed. In my case this amount is just around $400. So overall, yes it was nice to have one payment per month instead of 3 and I may have saved in interest over time from the credit cards if I had not gone through the program. But as of right now, 2 years after beginning the program I have paid $2,400 in interest on the loan and $3,000 to be in the program. I still have about $8,000 left to pay. Thank God I have a better job now so I can start to knock that amount down quickly, but as of right now the program has saved me a total of -$736 off of my original $13,800 How is that for a saving? My credit is slowly recovering, but no where near where it was before AND I am unable to qualify for credit card. So building credit is very slow. I would recommend instead going through Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. Absolutely.

I would never do this again. The stress and worrying about having to go to court is horrible. My credit is now below 600. I was not informed that I had to have a percentage of the money in my account before they would even contact the companies. The fees NDR charges are over $21.00 a month. I got a letter from one of my creditors threatening to take me to court and the man I spoke with at NDR was acting as though I was bothering him and he never reassured me that they would contact the credit union like I asked. I still have no idea if they contacted them. They do not keep you up to date on what's going on with your account. I've only been with NDR since the end of March and I am already a nervous wreck.

I worked with this company for a year. In that time, all three of my accounts have been charged off. For months, I was told that one of my accounts was resolved and payments were completed. However, as soon as I asked for a paid in full letter, all of sudden, it was NOT resolved. NDR had only paid one payment out of three. Total scam artists. They had taken $1500 in fees over the past year & had accomplished nothing. It took WEEKS of calling several times to get them to agree to refund the $1500 in fees. There was absolutely zero benefit to being in this program the past year. Only frustration, lies, and being flat out stolen from. They have finally agreed to refund the fees, but I am STILL waiting to see that deposit show up in my bank account. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They are extremely misleading & in my case, actually lied and stole from me. If I believed everything they said, they would have gotten away with stealing $1500 from me. Terrible business, complete scam artists, making a buck off a very vulnerable and desperate population. Please do not ever trust these people! I am writing this review to hopefully help someone else not get involved with this deceitful company!

I enrolled to National Debt Relief in order to consolidate and my credit debt. My first credit card was settled from an original balance of 10,449 to a settled amount of $8,766. While they offer to settle your debt for 50% they actually settled mine for 83%. The problem is that they charge a negotiation fee of 25% which in my case was $2,612...so in total i will be paying $11,378. That's right, i will be paying more than I originally owed after paying my settlement + their fee. How is that supposed to save me any money? Naturally I called concerning this situation. I was told by a QA that they would escalate my concern and see if they could reduce the negotiation fee since I would be paying more than owed after it was all done. 2 months passed and I called back to see if there was an update but to my surprise, they weren’t even aware of any escalation or what was said in my last call. I was told the negotiation fees were fixed and there was nothing they could do. So from my personal experience, I was disappointed and let down from their original promise to save money settling my debts. I will be paying more then originally owed using National Debt Relief. I hope this review helps someone. God Bless. PS. I should also mention that I have left my own personal reviews in as many sites as I can so that my experience with NDR reaches other people considering this option. I have found that 100% of the time NDR responds to a review, they write a generic response saying they will be “reaching out” to you. They have never reached out to me. Or better yet, they will ask you to call in to discuss this issue. When I called, they had no idea what I was talking about and transferred me several times just to simply reiterate that they can’t do anything about it. The same NDR agent responding to these reviews should do the research on the account in question and call us back with actual options, solutions or explanations.

They started out really well. Then they became a serious disappointment. They tell you you call ahead and they rearrange payments they read a script that basically says he if you make changes you may or may not lose your dettlement. So when you make a deal make sure.you can cover because it is not easy to change. If you being sued by a creditor they will throw the worst possible offer in front of you. They say they will not collect there fee up front they do. They will collect all of thete fees before they finish paying creditor is paid off. If you credit is already in the toilet you would be better off filing for bankruptcy. My piece of advise is when you make your payment plan with do not fall into the trap of them telling you need to add more money.

Most time when I call, I can expect to be there n hold for at least 5-10 minutes. Before they even ask my name I have to give them my phone number, address, last four and date of birth. They should really think of creating a pin or secret password instead. Now on to the nitty gritty. I loaded 5,000$ into my account my only for all of that to go towards fees, I was upset yes, but life went on. I put my entire tax return into the account (nearly 3,000$) and needed to skip or move a payment to the right. Well the money I put in there the second time also all went to fees, so my bank is now negative and in the red because when they take out their fees upfront they don’t leave anything for principal at all....nothing. I’ve been in the program for closer to a year and still have two accounts that haven’t been reconciled or atill in negotiations. Very disappointed for this company not sticking to their own schedules in regards to collecting their fees. They don’t care about helping anyone, just another money grabbing scam. 0 stars.

Zero rating may be a very kind rating! DO NOT fall for this company's schemes. They are scam artist that have no real interest in helping resolve credit issues. My debts are caused by my company and therefore fall on me. They gave me a smooth song and dance and claimed to be able to help with a large debt settlement. 2 years into their program - My husband had a severe heart disease. My sole source of income was lost. I contacted them many many times letting them know that we have a problem. They instead kept on me to increase my monthly payments to them. When I told them that I am having serious financial hardship - they informed me that they will remove the large debt - the main reason why I signed up with them - from my account. And if I wish I could try and settle with them on my own. I had read that before and I did not heed the reviewer's caution. SO PLEASE HEAR ME - DO NOT SIGN with these guys. Try and negotiate with your lenders on your own. Now after all this time - my credit score is in the toilet because of the way they schedule the settlement. And I could have most likely - done a better and more prudent job - of trying to do this myself.

I haven’t heard from anyone at National Debt Relief in quite sometime. Only 2 of my debts have been negotiated. I paid for the law services and they refused to help me with a debt that wasn’t and isn’t on my credit report, we both knew nothing about, and started garnishing my wages over $600 monthly around a month (still brand new) after I started with the company. I would expect much more to have been done by now. I’m disappointed with service immensely but dedicated to making my debt disappear through hard work paying it off. Why isn’t anything progressing? Don't Trust these guys, this company is nothing more, than people that take advantage of poor people in debt, let do the maths, DISCOVER, $13063.00 I own them, they settle for $10492.32, they receive 21% up front, that $2753.23, so the money up front puls the settlement add up to, $13235.55, you just cost me $172.00 more what I recently own DISCOVER. HOW IS THAT HELPING ME! Next CITI, before I even ask for help from them, CITI settle with me for less than $3300.00, I send National Debt Relief a letter, with that settlement on it but they choose to take 21% out of $8590.00, WHY? This company have you wait from 6 months or more before they settle your debt don't be a fool, they just fatting you up for the kill, they waiting for there 21% up front, so far this company have not save me anything so far, They put me more in debt. When I call client services about this, they acted like I was an idiot, wanted to tell me how the program worked again and when I told them I didn't a lesson in how it worked, I wanted an explanation as to why they did that, she said they didn't say that....LIARS! AT FIRST THEY PAINT A GREAT PICTURE, BUT ALL THE THINGS THEY SAY WILL PROVE TO BE NOT TRUE AS TIME GOES ON. WHEN WE FIRST STARTED WITH THEM, WE WERE NOT BEHIND ON ANY DEBTS, JUST STRUGGLING. WE STAYED IN THE PROGRAM A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. SINCE WE STARTED, A SHERIFF'S DEPUTY SERVED PAPERS ON US FOUR TIMES, BEEN TO COURT TWICE, BUT THEY SAY THAT'S NORMAL. AT FIRST THEY DIDN'T. WHEN WE FIRST STARTED THEY SAID WE MAY GET TWO OR THREE MONTHS BEHIND, BUT THEY HAD EVERYTHING COVERED. WE WERE PAYING THEM $1,600 MONTHLY. NOW WE HAVE BECOME OVER A YEAR BEHIND ON MOST DEBTS. THEY ARE A RIP-OFF AND A SCAM. IF YOU DON'T MIND THE EMBARRASSMENT OF HAVING A DEPUTY SHERIFF COME TO YOUR HOUSE OR PLACE OF WORK, AND GOING TO COURT, THEN THIS PROGRAM IS FOR YOU. I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. I got into a bind with online payday loans. I talked to a representative with this company and it sounded great and something I could live with. This company then turn over my account to Consumer Capital Credit. They take $284.82 out of my checking account every month and have been from 6 to 9 months. I called today to get an update on the status of my accounts to see what has been paid and if any of them were paid off. I was informed that nothing has been paid on any of my accounts and nothing has been paid off. I could have paid 2 of these off myself in the time that it has taken Consumer Capital Credit. My question is where is my money going and what are you doing with it. Again, I'm on a fixed income and cannot afford to throw $284.82 away every month. I need some help please.

I signed up with this company back in 2015 with a total debt of around 12k. I wish I would have shopped around and read the reviews. This company will fee you to death! On Jan 12th, 2018, I made my final 2 payments to my last 2 credit cards. Each was $725. I was thinking this was perfect! I have more than enough money in my account to cover this because I just deposited my entire bonus check in there back in December. Not to mention I was still making the regular monthly payments. ...was even thinking I would get some money back. Boy, was I wrong. With looking at my statement I noticed my account balance was at $0. How could that be? With more investigation I discovered they charged me a $740.50 fee for each transaction! So my debt payment was $725 and you charged me a fee of $740.50? On both of them?? I had a remaining debt of $1450 which I paid and now I have to pay a fee of $1481? WHAT??? So my fees to them were more than my debt payoff to the credit card company??? That didn't seem right...not at all. I called, talked to a very nice woman about this but she only had basic answers and her manager was even worse. Bless her heart, it's not her fault that she works for a POS company but I had some choice words to say about what the hell they are doing to people. So with my story being told, I would suggest that anyone who is as desperate as I was with resolving my debt, please shop around and figure out which is the best company to use. Going this route destroys your credit even more! It might even be best to try and work out a payment arrangement with your credit card companies....at least that will look somewhat good on your credit and with all the fees this company charges, you're pretty much paying your entire debt anyways.

Chances are with the High Fee's and Lawsuits against you under this program you will not actually save any money from your current debt and may in fact end up paying more then the original amount you owed. They are Not trustworthy, they don't actively talk with all your creditors until it may be to late, critical errors that lead to lawsuits and additional legal fees which they should’ve paid but didn’t. Also encountered surprisingly rude reps a couple of times. Study contract carefully before committing. Their settlements won’t always be as high as you think; High fees accumulate, are not trivial; projected number of payments may be based on you making extra deposits you didn’t commit to; may tell you monthly deposits must increase or risk extending your payments; some accounts may be sit around until frustrated creditors file suit. Also note that any settlements above $500 are reported to IRS. You’ll receive a 1099-C form and many will owe income tax on these amounts. These are additional fees that I didn’t find out about until I received my first 1099-C. NDR never mentioned this pre-contract. I regret not managing my own debt settlement. It’s not rocket science, folks. Main reason for going with NDR was to make sure I didn’t get sued. I got sued, it never should’ve happened.

Don't use this company!!! I've been in this program for eight months. The fees are unbelievably high with over $1500 charged. They made arrangements with one company and called me asking for additional money every month. Then I requested they not deduct a deposit from my bank for one month because I needed the money for surgery. They wanted to know what kind of surgery and how much it costs. They needed to tell the creditor so they could "approve it." I am in the process of cancelling this service. There are way too many fees and I could have paid the bills myself with the amount they charged. Stay away from this company!!! Also, the BBB gave them a NR for no rating!

Great company, however the agent I spoke with over the phone was very rushed in his delivery when going over the services this agency provides. When I asked questions, he was insensitive toward the situation and rushed over the answers, leaving me frustrated in terms of what to do. I almost felt like I was prying for information from my agent. He had good suggestions, but delivery came off as insensitive. They are a great company with great things to offer, however the agents may need to work on customer service and delivering in a slower, more patient and sensitive manner as clients who usually call are frustrated and need sensitivity toward their situations.

If you are needing relief from your debt, DO NOT use this company. They tell you not to pay any of your bills but instead send your money to a specified bank and for me that was $314 each month. They tell you they will get started negotiating with your creditors right away to settle for a reduced amount. However, THEY ONLY USE YOUR MONEY to pay off the reduced amount. So figure....If I owed $5,000 on a credit card and they say they usually get the debt reduced by 50%, then they must wait until YOU have deposited at least $2500 into the account before they can do that. Lets figure...$2500 divided by $314 = 7.96. Otherwise I have to make at least 8 payments before they will start the negotiating process. That's 8 months of phone calls from the creditor. NOTE: That is for just the first credit card, and I have 5 total so it will take years to complete THEIR process. If you need help, file bankruptcy. It stops the calls quicker and your settlement will be quicker and easer OR you have the choice to just stop paying the bills and deal with the calls. If you ask them to stop calling, by law, they are suppose to quit calling...if they don't, then you can file suit against them. I have consulted two lawyers and both said just what I told you. It is your choice.

I have been with NDR since 03/24/2015 and so far two accounts have been settled which I am not happy with. Citicard settled for 43% of the 2943. However, the 25% fee was very high of $732.75. If you do the calculation .... 2943 settled for 1265 is not very good. 1265 plus 732.75 fee = 1998 and I only benefitted a saving of 945.00. Another example recently my Discover was settled for 1240 at 73% for a balance of 1621. NDR did not do a very good job with this one. I am actually paying more than the original balance. 1240 settlement plus 403 fee is just like making a payment plan. I still have four other accounts and just imagine what the outcome would be like because, in my opinion, they do not get very good offer of settlement. This is what I have experience so far. If I do get something like 35% or less, they I will be happy. Another down side is... once you enroll, they forget about you and do not even contact you with what is going on other than rehashing what you as a client already are aware of.
