I like that eventually I will be debt free and that they negotiate on my behalf. Not too thrilled that about the amount of time it is taking to settle my last account. Also they indicated in the beginning that we could negotiate what would be on my credit score but now they act like it’s a foreign concept very far removed from this process and their capabilities.

I do have mixed feeling about your performance. During April or May of 2018, I registered in your program. I was told it would take 18 - 24 months. My final payment was set for April 2020. One of the creditors did not readily accept the offer, but that amount remained in the calculation for April 2020, I checked my status, only to be told that my debt payment is due to end in January 2020. How could that be? Tell me it's a mistake.

I have 4 account inrolled in the program, three of them are settled, I had a offer for the 4th account, but National Debt Relief on two occasions denied the offer I had from the last account, says if I accepted the offer that I would do so on my own!!! Is this a way to keep me in the program longer just to get more money from me!!! This is how I felt, and I should be the ultimate authority to make decisions with my accounts!!!

Terrible experience ,I sing up and make the deccision to enroll in this program they told me that I will be free of debt and pay off my loan in a 3 years period free of debt,after dealing with lawsuits and creditors calling you pluss having a payments of $ 500 dollars a month. they reffer me to a consolidation plus company and I* had ad 3 more years of paying the same amount..believe me guy's if I now this was going to be like this I would choose stay with my debt and continued to pay as normal. I don't recommend this service or this company to anyone.totally they never remove from my credit the small things they did. Stay away ...Stay away..

So far so good. Started in September 2019 and I have 3 settlements completed already. Got a ways to go but the process has been pretty smooth. I still get calls and letters from creditors but NDR had advised that may happen so I knew up front. I just do what they advise and go on.

I have been with NDR for a year now . So far they paid off one creditor and are working with three. I am going to be served soon on my Macy credit card. Very nervous. I haven’t heard anything about anyone experience How NDR handle these situations. Should I try to reach a payment agreement with Macy myself. Cannot afford to have wages taken

I'm deeply disappointed with NDR because I fail to see any activity in my account. The reason given by NDR is that they are waiting until I accumulate enough funds in my account so that they can pursue settlement agreements with my creditors. I'm not buying this reason. All they are doing is collecting interest off of my money and charging me a fee to do so.

William, we're sorry your experience hasn't met your expectation. Let's see if we can clarify any misunderstandings you may have. Firstly, the money in the savings account doesn't generate interest. The account isn't interest-bearing and its sole purpose is to hold and save your monthly drafts. Secondly, remember, we aren't a bank or a lender. The funds we will eventually use to repay the creditors comes from your monthly drafts. Think about this: when you enroll your accounts, let's say we start negotiating immediately and we have a settlement within (1) month. Your creditor will expect payments to start right away. If you don't have money in your savings account. we can't make those payments for you, so the negotiation would have been a waste. Any subsequent negotiations may not yield a result as favorable. This is why we must wait until there's enough in the savings account before we start the process. Very professional operation did everything as promised. Only had one issue. Through the process you are directed to change your mailing address to their New York address for all your creditors. My lack of research and no mention from NDR Of the fact that all the creditors with charge offs report them to the irs and notify you via mail with a 1099-C . All your erased debt is to be reported as income (I never thought of this) All your mail from these creditors now goes to New York so that’s where all the 1099-C statements went. Got a letter two was before Christmas that i failed to report $17000. Erased debt as income and i owe the IRS $4000. Fit to be tied should have been clear from the start of the process

I like them, however, I don't appreciate getting an email you agreed on said number, I approve said number then a few hours later getting a new email saying you agreed on a new and higher said number. Then you wouldn't even lessen your fees to make up the difference. Don't send emails to customers saying you agreed on a number until it's actually for sure the number. Super unprofessional and makes the customer extremely upset.

I began with this company in February of 2014 and completed the program as of August of this year (2017). I just finished an excel spreadsheet analyzing how much I paid in fees and how much they were able to settle accounts. Overall (between the fees they charge the settlement amounts paid) I wound up paying 76% of what I owed in debt. The reality of it is, an individual can settle their own debt themselves if they have enough self control to set aside a monthly minimum to pay their debtors. All the debtors accepted a monthly payment until the settlement amount was reached. One account wound up filing a law suit but NDR was quick to communicate and settle with the debtor before it ever reached court. Needless to say, between the fees and their lack to settle ALL accounts for 50% or less than what is owed ... it's not really worth it. I wouldn't recommend this company and I'm glad the program is over. I actually had to remove an account toward the end because they refused to negotiate until the account went to a 3rd party collection company. It was the last account and the money to pay it was just sitting there. I got smart and saved myself the headache by removing this creditor from the program and ending the program rather than waiting for them and letting the account age further. Choose another Debt Relief program with lower fees and faster service.

Good customer service overall but a couple of their reps made critical errors that led to a lawsuit and additional legal fees which they should've paid but didn't. Also encountered surprisingly rude reps a couple of times. Potential clients: study contract carefully before committing. Their settlements won't always be as high as you think; fees accumulate, are not trivial; projected number of payments may be based on you making extra deposits you didn't commit to; may tell you monthly deposits must increase or risk extending your payments; some accounts may be sit around until frustrated creditors file suit. Also note that any settlements above $500 are reported to IRS. You'll receive a 1099-C form and many will owe income tax on these amounts. These are additional fees that I didn't find out about until I received my first 1099-C. NDR never mentioned this pre-contract. I regret not managing my own debt settlement. It's not rocket science, folks. Main reason for going with NDR was to make sure I didn't get sued. I got sued, it was avoidable, never should've happened. Five stars is fair based on my experience.
