I hate to admit I got myself in credit card trouble. After being denied for a debt consultation loan I was directed to Liberty by the actual loan company. I listen to the pitch, ask a lot of questions and told them I would consider it. Thanked them and hung up the phone. I googled Liberty, I checked the BBB, I read reviews. And all were good. Company had a good reputation. Yes, there were a few negative comments but overall, they actually do what they say they do. I called back, went over my debts and started the program. Yes, my credit score dropped like a rock, but the bleeding has stopped It's been 3 months and they have already settled some of my debt. I am starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. I like the manner in which they work with me on paying off my debits, and working with the businesses to ensure I can pay them back. The down side is the stress when on of the companies suddenly take legal action because of not being able to explain to them that I am in a program to pay them back.

I am three months in so far working on 2 to 3 deals at the moment have one that was settled already. Yes my credit dipped from 580 to 500 and some other places read 430 however I am seeing results quicker than any other place. I’ve been paying on these bills for over five years and I should be done with them within a year with the liberty debt program.

Because they were going to combine and lower my balances and lower my total payments. After the 2nd negotiation they did for me they said I had to start paying $240 more a month which would make my payments higher than before I went to them.

As the contract was in its final year, my payments had to be doubled or add another year. I am sure that somewhere in the contract said that the amount agreed on could be adjusted. But to double payments seems like someone did not compute correctly.
