I would have preferred negotiations done first and a fixed total to knock out. I don't love my credit rating going down first then going up after All in all I am happy with Freedom Financial and I trust them.

Well, I have taken the advantage and you have received my first payments. So far, I have received phone calls and emails from customer's that were not paid for this month. You gave me the advice that when I got any calls from the bill collectors, tell them that I have made a decision to go with Freedom Debt Relief and I can no longer pay them and this was my choice. I think that it would be great if you can notify these clients right away instead of waiting for some time, and in the meanwhile the collections calls keep coming in.

The dashboard is helpful...but in the very beginning I was a bit intimidated because the deduction from my bank didn't show up on the dashboard for several days. I finally ended up calling FDR to verify that it would take several days sometimes.

What I ultimately saved in settlements was pretty much or at least close to the fees and other expenses charged by Freedom Debt Relief. As of this review, it has been 4 1/2 years since I signed up with FDR and there are still two accounts to settle. The reason they haven't been settled yet, according to FDR, is that the accounts haven't been deliquent long enough and/or not enough funds have accumulated to settle. Yet, there is enough money in my account to pay them what is actually owed and not even try for a settlement. I have questioned this several times asking why they continue to collect money from me when there's already enough collected and what are they going to do with money left over after settlement, if that ever happens? According to them, they will refund it to me; however, in the meantime, they have the use of my money free. They are not paying me interest. I just want to be done!

Lynda, we are sorry to hear you feel this way. There could be many reasons why those accounts have not been settled. We would love the opportunity to speak with you, unfortunately we are unable to contact you with the information provided.

Regarding your funds, we will return any funds that are not used for settlement fees, monthly fees, or for settlement payment plans. As a reminder, we only charge our settlement fee for accounts we settled, if accounts have not been settled, we have not collected a fee for those accounts. Another thing to keep in mind, your dedicated account is not a savings account, therefore interest will not and has not ever accrued.

We encourage you to reach out to our customer service team to discuss your options.
