Liars, said they would not take there fees until the debts were paid off first. But they took all their fees up front and because of that did not have the money to pay one of the debts and defaulted on the settlement. Blamed me of course. I ended up being sued because of FDR. Would not recommend FDR to anyone.

The agreement that you have signed does state that we collect a one-time settlement fee, but only once a settlement has been negotiated and authorized by the client and we have started making payments toward the settlement. I did not know how Freedom Debt relief operated. It has taken almost a year to get my first settlement. Given the opportunity to do it again I would probably pass. They did get me a better deal after the account went to collections.

In the end the amount saved was not worth the damage to my credit. I wished I would have taken a different path in resolving my debt. I was informed at the beginning there wasn’t a consolidation option for my debt, but once my debt was defaulted they swooped right in with a consolidation loan.

Folks, when the "fees" are assessed you end up paying the same amount as the original debt. You can probably do better by negotiating directly with the creditors. I would NOT recommend this to help anyone who has been forced into financial hardship.
