The company doesn't tell you all the details that are required to settle your debt. It destroys your crediting rating, before passing your account around to various sister companies. Read the fine print and do your own leg work with the various creditors and in the long run you will be much better off when settling your account. They start off acting very quickly in settling and after a few, you may not hear of another for months. Stay clear of this company.

You take advantage of people when they are the most vulnerable. Your methods of offering information are not TRANSPARENT at all. You do not inform your clients of the tax laws that affect debt reduction; you cannot answer any 1099-c questions. You are a very deceptive business. The sooner I am paid off, the better. This is an issue of deceit that should be brought up to our legislature. That's what I think. As far as * I would have to give you a -10 but that is not an option.

Freedom Debt Relief cannot meet the promises that are made during their sales calls. They keep on extending the time frame for payment of debts. So far they have extended my program by 8 months costing an extra $3,200. The sales people intentionally lie to customers to get people to sign up with the program. Any time a settlement offer is accepted it pushes back the program. Recommendation find a different company that can keep their promises about debt relief.

We never intend to prolong your graduation date as we would like to get our clients completed from their program around the estimated debt free date that was provided to them. When we reach a settlement it can push back your debt free date but keep in mind it's just an estimation. Our clients have control to be completed way before their date. We're not intentionally pushing the dates back it's just how we have come to an agreement with the creditor and we're showing the creditors that you're in a hardship program. Once we have a settlement it's easier to see when you will have the funds available in your dedicated account to finish paying off the account before the final payment. I have paid $5680 in one year with $2600 paid off debt. They make these small payments to keep their fees fed vs paying off larger amounts faster. I am quitting and stopping these losses. Will pay my creditors a small amount monthly and save thousands. Why did I enroll? I did not realize the $5680 was theirs. I thought it was banked to pay off the debts.
