The Good

  • Simple Debt Relief Process
  • AADR Accreditation
  • Personalized Services
  • Beyond Finance Reviews

Simple Debt Relief Process

Beyond Finance has a simple, three-step process to help clients settle their debts. First, the company analyzes your existing debt to ensure the company will be able to help you. If it can, the Beyond Finance team will work with you to develop a debt relief solution that fits your unique needs.

Then, Beyond Finance will work on your behalf to settle your debts and save you as much money as possible. These results are not always guaranteed, however, and it is important to realize that if you agree to work with a debt settlement company, you do so at your own risk and may end up paying money in without getting the results you want.

The final step in the process is to eventually move beyond your debt (hence the company name.) As you start making a single monthly payment into your Beyond Finance account, the company will help you diminish or refinance your debt in less time than you might be able to do on your own.

Again, remember that this process is different for every client, and while debt relief companies have helped many clients reduce their debt over time, this isn’t always the case and results are not guaranteed.

AADR Accreditation

Beyond Finance is an accredited member of the American Association for Debt Resolution (AADR), formerly known as the American Fair Credit Council (AFCC). The AADR is one of the primary organizations with which a debt relief company can become accredited — the association sets industry standards and regulates ethical business practices among debt relief companies. Thus, the fact that Beyond Finance is accredited by the AADR indicates that the company has high business standards and delivers a reliable service.

Personalized Services

Beyond Finance is a debt consolidation company. This means that when you choose to work with the company, you start making a monthly payment into a special account that you create solely for the purpose of paying off debts.

After you have accrued enough money (generally four to six months into the process), Beyond Finance will start using the money in your account as leverage to negotiate settlements with your creditors.

If you are not current on your monthly payments, the debt settlement process might be delayed, because if you don't have enough money in your account with which Beyond Finance can negotiate, it will have to wait until you do.

The company also advises you to send any and all collection calls its way. If you receive a collection call, you can tell the person on the phone that you are working with Beyond Finance toward debt settlement, and he or she can contact the company directly with any questions.

Beyond Finance Reviews

On BestCompany.com, current Beyond Finance reviews are primarily positive — 83 percent of reviews are 4 or 5 star. Satisfied Beyond Finance customers most frequently highlight the company's exceptional customer service.

The majority of customers often mention Beyond Finance team members by name, highlighting how knowledgeable, patient, and reliable the team member was in helping them approach and understand the debt relief process. In addition, customers appreciate the simplicity of the Beyond Finance debt relief process.

The Bad

  • Cost Not Published
  • Minimum Debt Requirement Not Published

Cost Not Published

We can’t find any information about Beyond Finance’s pricing or cost of services. Some debt relief companies are very transparent with this information, while others require you to schedule a consultation before you can get an idea of what you might be paying into the debt settlement program and what fees will apply.

Typically, you can expect to pay anywhere between 15 to 25 percent of your debt in fees to the debt relief company you choose to work with. If during your consultation with Beyond Finance, you realize that you will be paying more than this, you may want to consider other options.

Minimum Debt Requirement Not Published

We also cannot find any information regarding a minimum debt requirement for Beyond Finance. This either means the company does not have one, or that this information is just not available online.

During your initial conversation with the company, you will discuss the existing debt you have and the company will determine whether or not you qualify for its services. However, without a published minimum debt requirement, you will not know in advance if you have enough debt to work with Beyond Finance or not.

The Bottom Line

Beyond Finance is AADR-accredited, ensuring that the company meets high industry standards. The company offers a simple debt relief process that is personalized to your needs. A Beyond Finance team member will work with closely with you, helping you understand how debt relief works, and how it will benefit you based on your credit score and accumulated debt.

Beyond Finance reviews are primarily positive with customers frequently highlighting the company's exceptional customer service. However, we would recommend reading reviews before choosing a debt relief company.

This company is a rip off. They settled 2 accounts I paid $900 and the 3rd account took me to court they didn’t even try to negotiate with them I settled with that company out of court with a payment agreement. Then when I said this wasn’t helping me and I wanted to close my account they KEPT MY $300 I had in my dedicated account saved. Hmmm just seems like they’re just as bad as all those companies they talk down on about high interest you do the math they took $300 on $900 settlements that’s 33% they are nothing but crooks and are just as bad as high interest creditors they talk down on. Would NEVER RECOMMEND anyone to this company not even my worse enemy.

Please stay away. As a business owner myself, I tend to not give out negative reviews as I know how harmful they can be but if I can keep even one person from enrolling it will be well worth it. In December 2022 when I signed up, I wasn’t struggling with credit card debt, I simply wanted a consolidation loan to combine my several credit card payments into just one payment a month. I Googled “credit card consolidation loan” and Beyond was one of the first to pop up. I called inquiring about rates and terms. The woman I spoke with talked about how they’re a great option to escape debt and lower my monthly payments. Stupidly on my part I went ahead, it was then I was told that I’d take a “slight temporary hit” on my credit score, but nothing to worry because everything will be wrapped up “shortly” and I can move on from my debt. What an awful choice on my part. They tell you to stop making your credit card payments, and that you’ll soon be “contacted” by the credit companies and to “ignore them”. Well they hound you. Multiple times a day. They will contact your family looking to get a hold of you. Endless letters sent by US Mail and FedEx. And more and more phone calls to you and sometimes your family members. That “slight” and “temporary” hit to your credit score? Mine went from a 710 in December 2022 to where it sits in high 500’s in December 2023. So either I was lied to about “slight” or the definition of the word has changed at some point and I wasn’t notified. I had planned around this time to move, that can’t happen now because no way I’m getting any decent mortgage with a credit score in the 500’s. The true cherry on the top of this program, is that in July 2023 I was sent an email from Beyond saying something along the lines of “congratulations you will soon qualify for the Graduation Loan Program”. Basically saying I’ve done everything I’ve needed to and that soon I’ll be getting a code from Above Lending with an invitation to a credit consolidation loan. Hallelujah I thought, the exact thing I was looking for in the first place. I call Beyond to ask for more information and they say that you need to be in the program for 9 months and have 6 consecutive months of on time payments. Perfect, I never miss any payments, and within a few weeks I’ll have been in the program 9 months. It hits 9 months of me in the program, I call and ask about the loan, the person I speak with said I’ve met all of the requirements and I’ll likely be reached out to shortly. This was September, I call both Above Lending and Beyond once every 2-3 weeks for an update, and I keep getting the answer of “soon” and now in mid-December 2023, I’m still getting told “soon”. Meanwhile I was legally served with a lawsuit from one of my credit card companies and likely on the verge of another one. I’m living in constant anxiety that another server will be showing up at my door with more legal papers and another lawsuit. By the way, they never tell you about this until it actually happens. So let me tell you, avoid this program unless you actually like being served and having a lawsuit against you from a major corporation. I’ve spent several nights with tears in my eyes because of what this program has done to me financially, and how I can’t move to a new house which was something I had been planning and preparing for for years. I’m 33 years old and have never been a day late on a payment for anything let along straight up skipping payments. I’ve called both Beyond and Above Lending basically begging and pleading to get me that Graduation Loan, and no progress has been made. I’m under the belief at this point that it won’t ever happen, and that “slight” and “temporary” hit to my credit score is more like “crippling” and “long term”. Signing up for Beyond’s program may be the worst mistake I have made in my life, and unless you are in dire straights with your debt, please, please do not make the same mistake as me. I’m at the point where if I don’t have that Graduation loan by the end of January 2024, I’m pulling myself out.

Christopher,

When signing up for our program, we never promise our clients that they will qualify for the Above Lending Graduation Loan in 6 months. We use 6 months as a marker to determine loan eligibility. This loan is offered on a case by case basis. We understand how frustrating it would be to be hoping for the loan and not understand why an offer hasn't arrived yet. What's challenging is that Above Lending is a separate company with its own criteria, so while we can provide info about pre-qualification for the loan, we don't have access to further details about the application than what we've already shared.

We’re sorry to hear that your creditor has chosen to file a lawsuit. While not every creditor takes this approach, some creditors are unfortunately more aggressive in their debt collection methods than others. The good news is we will still support you on your journey to financial freedom.

As stated during the enrollment process and in the enrollment agreement, participating in our debt consolidation program will likely adversely impact your credit for a time. While you may temporarily take one step back in terms of your creditworthiness, you’ll take five steps forward with debt solutions. Once your debt is consolidated, the effect on your credit can actually be very positive. Practicing positive credit behavior can help you build your creditworthiness back up over time.

I do not recommend anyone to go forward with this program. They did nothing for me and I still paid 5000 dollars for nothing!! They don’t tell you they have a 25% fee so when you decide to cancel they take all of your money. If I could give them zero stars I would.

If I could give no stars I would. I signed up for Beyond Finance about 3 months ago. Two payments went through for 1 settlement that they got for me. For two months I was paying that. For this third month they took the biweekly payment but I canceled one week later and my third month payment did not go thru yet. Just so you know I canceled because I found out I can contact my creditors and work this out with them and not pay high fees. So Beyond Finance took the money left in my account that was $178.00. They did not refund it and I don't know why because the 3rd month payment did not go through yet so what are they charging me for. Do not go through with this company at all. They told me when I signed up that if I cancel I would receive a refund of what is left in my account. They lie!! Stay away and don't bother with this company at all.

When you attempt to negotiate directly with creditors, generally you receive less savings and a lot less flexibility on repayment. In most cases, creditors want either a lump sum payment or want it paid in a much shorter time frame (3-6 months). Balancing multiple debts is incredibly difficult with these types of terms.

One of the most significant pieces of savings you’re receiving through your program avoiding the continually accruing interest associated with paying minimum payments to your creditors. If you can’t pay off your balances right away, you could be stuck paying thousands upon thousands more in interest and fees for decades, while our clients escape their debt in a matter of years.

If you decide to terminate your program early you are entitled to a refund of your balance minus any of our earned resolution fees. These fees are based on our team successfully securing you a reduced balance on the account and we work hard to secure you the best savings possible. If you decide to terminate your program early after already accepting a resolution offer, you are entitled to that offer and are still subject to that resolution fee.

I am currently using them. They are not great find someone else. These reviews seem to be canned to start with. I had a starting amount for a 5 year payoff with a 6 month dip in my credit then credit would go up. Nope, first I had to pay 500 more a month now they are on another deal at 500 a month. how can I go from 1100 to 2100 which is more than I was paying. Sure without interest but still this is to make life affordable and it has not been that way. it is beyond sad and my anxiety over money is through the roof. I will end up now having to borrow from my retirement just to continue to get them to make this affordable. Also why if they are charging 25% fee can they not take it at the backend and why cant at 25% they lend out the money to pay off the creditors and just chage my my 5 year amount? I was schmmozed and lied too and will probably find a co debt company to take over what is remaining and get them taken care of outside of them so I Can get back on track. That or start paying my loans off again the old fasioned way.

First of all, all of our reviews are based on the positive experiences that our clients have had with their programs. From day one of you signing up for your program we are open and honest about our process, timeline, and fees.

Our average client saves up to 25% on their debt through their program. This is not including compounding interest and additional fees you would still be paying. Some people could continue to pay for decades while we estimate your timeline to 2-4 years when signing up for your program.

Your payment structure is ultimately decided by you and what you are able to pay every month. Sometimes we might recommend an increase in your deposit amount to secure a certain resolution, but this is not required. If you decide to add additional funds you are speeding up your program but it is not required to be successful. Our team is here to help you decide what deposit schedule works right for you going forward.

We understand that your financial situation can get stressful but our team is here to help you. We have escalated your case to a member of our team and we will be reaching out shortly.

Beyond collected enough money to pay off one account I did not accept the offer I felt the settlement amount was still to high. Then I asked how much they were charging and it was $900 at that point I fired them. They were only going to reduce my $28,000 debt by $6,000. .

IT'S A SCAM!!!! BE CAREFUL EVERYONE. They charge monthly fee which is nothing of course and to get you lowered into the program without telling you that they charge 25% off your enrollment settlement, so let's say you owe $10,000 in credit cards and they can settle with the creditors for $6,000, then they will charge you 25% off the original loan you owe which is $10,000 without telling you that upfront just to get you in. They will ask you not to pay the creditors which is terrible idea that will screw you big time and it will take way too long to recover and then these accounts will marked on your record as CHARGED OFF ACCOUNTS or COLLECTIONS which is terrible because that will be on your record for 10 years and none can remove it. So if you're trying to buy a car or house that might be reason for terrible high interest rate or getting denied. DON'T USE THEM THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!!

We Refute any claims that we are scammers. We are an AADR accredited business that has helped over 300,000 consumers on their path to financial freedom and resolved over $3 billion in unsecured debt.

Upon enrollment, we are upfront with all of our clients about our process, timeline and fees. It’s worth noting that even with our fees, our program is a money-saving solution that is considerably cheaper and faster than remaining in a continuing cycle of making minimum payments.

We’re sorry to hear that there was some confusion around your Dedicated Account. Your Dedicated Account is managed by a third-party bank and does incur a monthly fee in addition to the initial account activation fee which cannot be refunded.

One of the benefits of our program is that once a resolution is reached, you make payments towards that resolution instead of one lump sum, allowing you to pay off your debt without accruing additional interest while simultaneously building up more money in your Dedicated Account to negotiate resolution on your other accounts.

To maintain our high standards for client service, we will be pulling your calls with our team for quality assurance.

Absolutely terrible company to help you! Representatives are extremely pleasant. However, the procedures and fees are a complete scam. One of the debt amount I enrolled was just sent to a collection agency when Beyond Finance settled with them. I was not notified that the settlement was made with a collection agency so I agreed believing that the debt was settled at 50% off with the actual creditor. Once I learned of this, I withdrew from the program and decided that I will settle with my creditors on my own. After paying Beyond Finance over $700.00, Beyond Finance paid that collection agency $270.00 towards that settlement and they kept the rest of my money deposit towards their "Settlement Fee". Over 200% Settlement Fee? Really? Do not consider this company to help you because they will rob you!

Company is a predator the sales reps will tell you all you want to hear, they prey in your being desperate. I have fulfilled my 48 month term and was supposed to save close to $4000 I am on payment 50 now of the 48 yes you read that correctly, and they say I still owe for settlement fees. I was told by my sales rep that I would pay a total of 9600 on around 13k of debt now that I have these bonus payments that I am apparently obligated to make, because of some fine print, and when all is done I may save $900. I would never have done this program to save only 900 and that’s if they stop collecting. This is a predatory lender and they have unethical business practices

First and foremost, we are not a lender. We refute any claims that we are scammers. We are an AFCC accredited business that has helped over 300,000 consumers on their path to financial freedom and resolved over $2 billion in unsecured debt. We pride ourselves on helping people resolve debt while following debt relief industry guidelines closely by not charging fees upfront, running a transparent business and advocating for consumer rights. You can see thousands of client testimonials across the BBB, Trustpilot, and Google.

Our goal is to get our clients out of debt as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, not all creditors approach settlements the same way and for this reason, program timeline estimates cannot be guaranteed.

We want our clients to be well informed from the day they enroll in our program. That is why we share our fee with you and we do not hide it. You should know that even with our fee we have a “No Worse Off” policy that states that by the time a client graduates, we’ll ensure that they didn’t pay more than they owed on their collective enrolled debts, including through our fees. It looks like we have saved you $2417 after fees.

Beyond finance gave me a settlement offer and will not abide by it. I’m well versed now in the ways of screwing people because of how well the last 4 years went with beyond finance. I accepted an offer on feb 4th 2023 to settle on my credit card. I know there are fees involved at the end of the settlement. I was very specific in asking when will I be done paying everything off….the settlement and the fees. I was told July. I asked a couple of times to make sure we were in the same page before agreeing to this settlement. I said my last payment fees and all…I’m done ?? in July and was told multiple times yes. So guess what? August a payment comes out. I called 5 times - scheduled a call - and no one called…was told that someone called me earlier- lied. I live by my phone. And I finally received a call by someone who told me that another manager listened to my call and said basically this conversation didn’t happen this way and I owe all these fees. I said I wouldn’t have accepted this offer knowing I was going to be paying into 2024 and I was super specific about my questions. I asked for a copy of my voice recording and was told no. They can say anything they want and even though you know the truth it doesn’t matter. They got me to commit to a settlement offer under false pretenses. Again, I was good with the fees and understood the shady process, but I was told something and I agreed to something that was a lie and no one cares. Response: I want everyone to notice my concern was not talked about. I know about the fees- I’ve said it multiple times…my concern was the lie to get me to commit to a settlement. I was told an end date and it was wrong. They are not acknowledging the phone call and my questions and my agreeing to this agreement. It was a lie. False. The response says it all. I’ve called back and of course there is no one to talk to. The gave me the main line. Please read this. Read the response and make better choices. What they saved me was nothing - I could have done it my self but I made a bad decision. You don’t have to. On google and Trustpilot you can see the response. Ridiculous

Because Beyond can’t get anywhere with the CC company. Sure collected all your fees along the way though. Sure they will reply with some lies about what happened. Our fees are performance-based and contingent on our success in settling your debts with your creditors on your behalf. We do not earn any fees until you and a creditor agree to a settlement and at least one payment toward that settlement is made. In the rare instance we cannot settle an account does not mean it was something we did. Creditors can be tricky in this sense.

DO NOT USE BEYOND FINANCE. THESE OTHER REVIEWS ARE FAKE. Beyond Finance charges you so much in hidden fees that you end up paying more than what you owe creditors; A LOT more. When you demand an explanation, they just give yo the run around and never resolve. You are so much better off paying the creditor directly or filing for bankruptcy. They constantly just look for ways to charge you extra hidden fees and add 6-12 months of more payments beyond what you owe intentionally tricking you. Also, if you sign up for their program, you will wreck your credit no matter what and still expect to get sued. Beyond Finance is BEYOND THE WORST debt settlement program.

First of all, we refute the claim that our reviews are anything but reflections of real people’s experiences of our program.

Secondly, we absolutely NEVER charge hidden fees. The one and only fee we collect is a flat performance-based fee on each enrolled debt once we successfully reach settlements for our clients. The average settlement offer we reach for our clients is 50% and we collect a 25% fee, so they’re generally paying about 75% of what they owe. We are happy to walk you through each of the fees you paid so you understand where your funds went.

And while we give people an estimate of how long their programs will take, this is not a guarantee. While most clients see an initial impact to their credit score, the vast majority of clients report a completely recovered FICO score by the time they graduate the program.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have been working with them for over a year. They will take your money and make all these promises that they are unable to keep. I was told that within a few months if I continue to make payments online, I would be able to join the accelerator program to graduate a lot earlier. Well I was offered a loan where I had to pay DOUBLE THE AMOUNT of my dedicated account funds monthly to enter the program, which makes no sense since the reason why I'm in the program is because I CAN'T AFFORD TO MAKE PAYMENTS. Also, I now have creditors suing me and I'm afraid that my wages and property will be garnished. Also, my credit is TRASH. I was better off making a minimum payment than entering this program. These people are taking advantage of people who are desperate for help. I broke down today because I was served papers in front of my child and when I called to get advice, I was told to send the documents to their team, but I will have to handle the lawsuit because they don't have legal representation. I'M SO PISSED. Now I'm stuck with bad credit, outstanding credit card debt due to high-interest fees and lawsuits.

I am so beyond frustrated with this company. I was seeking options that were not bankruptcy and came across Beyond. I feel as though it has turned into, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is. When I first started the program, accounts were being settled fairly quickly and I could start to see the light at the end of the tunnel on paying off debt as I am trying to put this behind me so that I can move forward with life. Last week I was under the impression that I was ready to graduate early as I gave this company every cent needed to pay off my remaining accounts and get my last account into settlement. I received a notification of my final account being settled, then with no communication whatsoever, apparently the creditor cancelled the settlement and this was not communicated to me at all by Beyond. I am so incredibly disappointed in the lack of communication from this company regarding my account and when IMPORTANT things like these happen. I honestly think that they are dragging their feet on settling this last account as a way to continue collecting money from me and NOT get me out of debt. Whenever I call to express my frustration I am met with canned answers and nothing being escalated up to proper parties. I could go on and on about the other disappointments this company has delivered but this could be an even lengthier review. All I want is to graduate and be done with this nightmare. It started out pleasant and now it has left me with such a sour taste in my mouth and NO ONE is willing to help me. If I had known them, what I know now, I would not recommend Beyond Finance to anyone. Signed, a crushed and defeated customer.

I need everyone who reads this to understand something extremely important about this company. If you value your credit SCORE, run from these people. But if you simply do not care about your score and want to reduce the amount you owe....FILE BANKRUPTCY INSTEAD. Because no matter what, these people are NOT paying down your owed balances! Nope! I can prove it! My credit report from experian shows all of my trade lines and the amounts paid for each one for all the years they have been open. Beyond Finance paid NOTHING on the 6 accounts I handed over to them to manage. Nothing! Then after 6 months of NO PAYMENTS my trade lines began DISCHARGING THE DEBT AND CLOSING THE ACCOUNTS. And because of 6 months of fees many accounts went over their limits! So for example, my limit was 4400 on one account. I owed them 3600. After 6 months of Beyond Finance telling me to ignore all calls and letters from the creditors, this account now says C.O. (charged off) and CLOSED AT CREDITORS REQUEST. My credit report shows a high balance of 4580 and an amount of $50 paid in settlement, 4530 dis charged (written off as bad debt) therefore, I now look like a total flake who goes over my limit then runs without paying! This is what Beyond Finance does! I sincerely with all my heart believe that every positive review here has only just signed up with this company and has yet to experience the damage and the theft of their credit and money. Bankruptcy would be safer, kinder and save you more money by far. I am about to take this company to court and make them answer for their crimes, if anyone wants to join me in a multi-party lawsuit, contact me on Facebook: Jewelleah Kempers Oh and one more critical point I need to make is that their company "responses" published below this review are AUTO RESPONDER REPLIES that showed up 10 seconds after I submitted this review, BEFORE IT WAS EVEN PUBLISHED ON THE WEBSITE TO THE PUBLIC. They have several varieties of responses but this one was the exact same response as another client received, and again it immediately showed up after I hit the submit review button. They do not read these and do not intend on "fixing" their profitable scam! That's all I can say is: RUN!

We appreciate you sharing your feedback, Jewelleah. We always aim for transparency with regard to our process, and we're sorry that there's been some confusion about how our program works.

We pride ourselves on prioritizing our clients’ best interests while we work with their creditors. From the time of enrollment, our team actively works to reach resolutions that save you as much money as possible. Because we customize each program to meet every client's specific needs, resolution times may vary and it can potentially take up to six months or longer to reach your first resolution and subsequent ones.

Wed’d like note that after this initial period, many of our clients see their scores improve as their debt is resolved. Our surveys show that while 30% of our clients had the same score they entered and exited the program with, an additional 50% of our clients actually saw their creditworthiness improve by the time they graduated.

We’d like to further discuss your experience with our program. Please give us a call at 800-282-7186 or email [email protected] with your name, email address and phone number so we can get in touch as soon as possible. It’s important to us at Beyond Finance that we’re able to address your concerns.

Whatever you do not do it! It is a huge scam. The money that you owe the banks, just call your banks and ask them to turn off your credit cards and that you can pay them off. Beyond finance will end up making you spend the same amount of money, if not more because they’re cut off the top is the equivalent of what you owe at the very end. If they settle something for $11,000, believe you will be paying $17,000 for that. No one will ever contact you, no one will ever have information, no understand what’s going on and why you were so frustrated. When you give them basic math, they still say well we saved you half, but what they’re not saying is we may have saved you half of the banks and paid the bank half, but we also took a lot of money for ourselves. So basically yes you may have said giving it to pacifically to the bank, but you’re giving another house specifically to now which is just as much as what you owe. You were basically paying the same amount of money to ruin your credit score for years. I have completely graduated out of Beyond Finance within two years, paying way more money than I even owe to begin with. I went in $27,000 due to the pandemic not being able to work for a year. I foolishly called a credit relief that sold me to the devil. I am now paying about $28,000 total with all of their fees. When I started my credit score was 740, within two years it got as low as 495 by being with Beyond Finance. Now it is 635 which is still poor. I’ve paid everything off, and I owe nothing left. I’ve paid more than I ever owed to begin with. This was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life and I really hope that someone reads this and does not sign up with accredited, freedom, debt relief, because they will sell you to this party. They are rude, and they do not know what they are doing. This whole company is a major scam. Please stay very very far away.

Don't do it! Beyond has had 25k of my money to settle all of my debts since 3/17/22. They have sat on the last debt for four months. I called the creditor myself and they told me Beyond had called them one time on 6/17/22 AFTER I asked Beyond for the status. Beyond promised to pay on 6/30/22 (no idea why they delay after I approve) and did NOT pay as promised until 7/11/22 when I AGAIN called the creditor who confirmed they had not yet been paid. They do not connect their customers with the individuals who are actually doing the work. Their responses are either completely wrong or a template answer. Of course they took their fee for this settlement on 7/1/22 LOL. I paid Beyond almost 9k in fees and wouldn't complain if they simply did their job. There are better options out there for you.

Review Account

This is a for profit company. Basically this is what happens: - pay bi weekly amounts to a bank account that is set up through Beyond - eventually they will settle an account for half, usually start with smallest one - once customer agrees to the settlement they charge 25% fee to the customer within a few days - on my initial agreement with Beyond it says the fees are 25% and indicates it’s an average of 6% a year but it’s not, the entire fee is taken right away instead of over time - The fee from Beyond is so high that there is not enough money in the account for any other settlements. For example there was around $600 in the bank account due to my bi-weekly deposits. Beyond settled an account and the first payment was submitted to the creditor for around $50. Then Beyond takes their 25% which was around $490. Now the bank account has virtually no money to initiate other settlements. So meanwhile you’re stuck with nothing being settled, late fees, credit score in the tubes, etc. - Try to contact customer service and they give scripted answers that do not help explain - Try to get a fee schedule from Beyond and they do not provide it, stated that I had to agree to settlement first (they don’t want you to know how much they will be taking all at once) - Try to get agreement between Beyond and the creditor and they give a run around and tell me it’s on the dashboard which it’s not At the rate they go these accounts with not be settled within 6 months or even a year. Then more months go by, late fees, collections, lawyers are suing, etc. This company hires “sales” people who are very convincing, but it’s a scam. Really, their job title is SALES. Most of the 5 star reviews are after the initial experience because they are, “so nice and helpful”. Once you’re in the program a while you realize that you are getting screwed and there’s nothing but idiots on the other end (sales people are gone and it’s now just phone reps from other countries). They say you save half with their services but by the time you pay them 25%, plus extra late fees and penalties because the accounts are delinquent so long, you might save 10% - and that’s if you don’t get sued or go to court. I do not recommend this company.

We’re sorry to hear that your program experience and savings did not live up to your expectations.

Our program can help our clients reduce their enrolled debts by up to 50%.Although everyone’s situation is unique, our clients would generally pay twice as much if they tried to tackle the full balance owed to their creditors on their own. It’s worth noting that even with our fees, our program is a money-saving solution that is considerably cheaper and faster than remaining in the cycle of making minimum payments.

We are sorry that our program was not the right fit and wish you luck on your financial journey!

TAMMY L curtis-JACOBS Dallas, TX

My husband died on the 13 th of June I received a call from beyond finance stating that a payment would be taken from my account for his first payment with company I told her my husband passed away the night before her call so to cancel any contract before it even started she stated that she would do just that 7 days later they took $152,and change out of my account which caused an overdraft fee of $34.00 I called and told them what they had done and the representive said that she would grind my 152.00 and pay overdraft fee if I would please send in statement showing overdraft and why it occurred an fax over his death certificate showing his passing and the date. Today almost three weeks later they deposit 106.00 into my account and want to tell me that monies had been taken before that and I wasn’t entitled to it back . There was never any previous payments taken out and I have proof of that as well they don’t want to give back what they illegally took and pay for damages rendered because of it I find it appalling that I’m scrapping Pennie’s to get my husband buried and everything in order and they want to blame me and lie about monie taken prior to his death . That one thing I cannot do business with is a company of liars what will be next who will be the next victim and will she or he be able to stand up for themselves . I’m very worried for all who think they are doing the right thing because they didn’t do right by me or my deceased husband no not a paying client but the wife of a potential client they ripped off. Bad bad business

This beyond finance is a farce they do not save you any money, in fact by the time your done paying all the fees to both creditors and beyond you have paid more then what your original debt was to begin with. The payment made into your account each month to pay the creditors adds up so that by the time you have made enough deposits the credit companies have increased the debt by charging you late fees and interest on your account. And your credit gets shot to hell. I have actually graduated from the program by taking a loan from above lending their affiliate and now beyond finance is giving me the run around on refunding any funds that are left over back into my bank account. $300,20. They say above lending has something to do with the refunding of the money but I called them and they said they have nothing to do with it which is true, So beyond finance are clearly lying. They give me a different answer each time I call or chat and never a correct one. After several emails, phone calls, chats, they finally refunded my money back to me. But still, don't go with this company or any debt relief program it is all rip-offs, you'll pay allot more then what you owe. Do it yourself with the credit companies and save yourself allot of headaches and frustration and possible law suits.

Beyond told me not to talk to creditors and they would handle everything. I followed their instructions and paid the set amount every month. 1 card was settled and was charged a fee when settled plus a monthly fee. They say that are in constant communication with all my credit cards but they are not. I have 2 cards that are now charge offs and in the hands of outside collectors and these cards now refer me to them. Asked if they had been in touch with beyond and they tell me that Beyond has had no contact with them. I have since Beyond and to fix this problem myself. Stay away from using Beyond.

I had no complaints of Beyond until it came time for graduation of their program. All my creditors have been paid, confirmed paid in full, and I was told I was graduated from the program and I was going to receive the leftover funds in my dedicated account transferred to my bank account. That was on Feb 28, 2022. It is now April 14th and since friday I have been given the run around by every single employee I speak to and when my money is supposed to arrive to my account. Friday I was told Monday. Monday I was told by another gentleman that actually my account was not graduated because one of my creditors said they were not paid in full. I called that creditor MYSELF and was told that was false and they did in fact acknowledge to Beyond that everything is settled in full so there should be no issue. So I called back and then was finally told that yes they somehow miraculously received this confirmation (literally one hour in between phone calls) and I would get my money via transfer by Wednesday...NOTHING. Now, the gentleman (JT) who took my call and PROMISED ME I was put on top priority by his superior (Otis) and my money was in fact going to be transferred within 24-48 hours on Monday, will not return my phone calls. A woman (Roslind) that I spoke to on the 11th told me I shouldn't expect my money until Friday (15th) or next week at best. WHICH ONE IS IT?! I'm sick of being lied to and my money withheld from me which I am entitled to.

Started in 2019, paid every payment on time, credit rating tanked, got served papers by creditor who didn't want to settle, no legal help. Finally paid off my balance Feb 2022. The person who took my final payment didn't. " Push the button" to cancel future ACH withdrawals. It made me overdraft. Come to find out, I not only paid bill off, they owed me a substantial refund. Did not find that out until I called about the ACH withdrawal. And they can't return the ACH payment until it clears there side. They can not refund my credit until the ACH clears. When were they going to inform me that I had a credit? It's been there for over a month? Do I get the interest they have accumulated ? I've called 3 times in the last 24 hours , reps are apologetic, but basically I'm going to have to deal with it. There is someone in this company who can make an executive dicission and do what's right. It behooves me that they use a program that does not red flag issues within each account.

The company does not reveal the true 'cost' of doing business with them to you when they initially talk to you. They say they will settle your debt for at least 50% of the amount owed. While it was my concern when signing up that this can't be guaranteed, I went ahead and enrolled. My fear was correct. They did NOT settle my debt for as little as they had promised and their fees are outrageous (25% of the debt enrolled, not the amount you pay after the settlement). I enrolled $8K in debt and after it was all said and done (they took their cut), they saved me a measly $300. Beyond claims they will save you so much money, and it's just not true. Your credit score is hit severely and if I would have just paid my cards outright (and spent $300 more), I would've saved my credit score as well. I can't stress enough how this program is NOT worth it. Don't be fooled by them. Take my advice and try to settle your cards outright and do not pay this company to take your money.

September 2020 I spoke with an enrollment agent Justin T for beyond finance to settle 3 credit cards. I signed up a 24 months agreement and was told that was it. I do not need to pay any more penny and they will settle all 3 credit cards. Fast forward to 2022 February. I spoke with beyond finance agent and asked how much left to pay off the program so I can graduate from the program earlier. They gave me the amount and suggested that I add a buffer just incase “in my head - I’m like what do you mean just incase? when you told me I only have to pay certain amount of money for 24 months.” Nevertheless, I added “the buffer” more money on top of whatever was left to pay off the program. It doesn’t end there… Today March 4th, a new agent reaches out to me and I’m like “ Thank God - I’m about to graduate from this debt who had me in a miserable situation financially for the last several years. To my surprise they asked for more money again, this time a crazy amount. I said NO. You either settle this cursed debt as you PROMISED or I’ll take my chances with the law. I really want to get a lawyer’s help or something at this point because this is a fraud. Tell people what they are getting themselves into from the beginning and use basic English words. I’m 27 years old and I’m really loosing my faith in the financial sector people.

They lied to me in order to get me to sign up. After I signed up I got emails saying what they were really doing and had to call them to cancel and try to get my money back. I was told that my debt would roll over into a personal loan. All of it. I was not interested in settling as it would close my credit accounts. They said my accounts wouldn't close and my entire debt would roll over in three months of good payments. They said they would start contacting my creditors immediately. Then I found out they lied they were attempting to settle accounts. Late fees were incurring, and they were charging me 25% of my debt for this settlement service. The personal loan to finish my debt was probably six months out and not guaranteed. I thought this was a viable solution but the first review listed on google that raves about them seems to be an advertisement which is very misleading.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This company is the BIGGEST scam. They claim to settle your debts in “3-6 months” but they actually take over 2 years. They are TERRIBLE at communication, don’t bother emailing them because you probably won’t get a response. Their fees are absolutely insane, and by the time they get around to negotiating a settlement for you, your initial debt balance has probably increased by the MAYBE 25% you would save if you had paid the debt off yourself, so you barely save a penny. Plus, your credit is absolutely wrecked. They charge a ridiculous fee for a savings account each month, and they throw in some surprise documents that will incur a monthly charge as well. After you’ve signed a settlement agreement, thinking a settlement has been made, they will send you another settlement a month later for the same debt claiming the first one didn’t work out. I was incredibly naive signing up for this program, please don’t waste your time or energy! Worst company I have ever dealt with. Also called in a month ago about some missing funds, and when the woman told me she would investigate it and *promised* to call me back within 2 business days, I believed it. It’s been at least a few weeks since then and I haven’t heard a peep. So, just to reiterate- please don’t do it. I am a paying customer of this service and I’m telling you it’s trash.

I need to speak to someone about why I have not graduated from the program that we are enrolled in. I was told by a representative in November that we would be done with this before Christmas, it has been a month past Christmas. Please explain to me what the issue is. I have offered to pay over the settlement amount. All that I have heard is that our last enrolled debt is not settled yet. I have heard that you have been communicating with that company, but no agreements have been made. I have enjoyed working with Beyond, until we got our loan from Above. SCAM - I signed on w/Beyond Finance in Aug 2021 after the pandemic closed my event planning business and I had racked up considerable credit card debt, living on my credit cards. The rep at BF sounded knowledgeable and explained the program was designed to settle all debt within 120 to 150 days. We are now at 6 months later, my credit score has plummeted to 415, after ignoring any and all communication with my creditors - they have settled exactly ONE $2000 debt for alittle over half, which they are MAKING INSTALLMENTS ON, rather than just settling it which they have the ability to do, since they have collected some $2500 from my monthly drafts to them. And today, Trent at BF - who refused to supply a last name (what financial institute allows reps to use only first name, while they are sitting with ALL your personal data, SS, DL, bank accounts...????), advised that the large balance credit cards WOULD NOT BE SETTLED FOR YEARS - because they would have to collect from me enough funds to negotiate the settlement. THAT is NOT what was promised - infact just the opposite... specifically BF has the power in the marketplace because they have the ability to settle your debt in your behalf, as long as you establish a pattern of reliable payments over a 90 - 120 day period. THIS IS A SCAM - STAY AWAY.

My debt didn’t even get settle for that much less than what I originally owe. $27k settle for $22k. Beyond settled my PayPal account but it still shows up on my credit report after 5 months as in collection even after disputing it. Regardless of almost completing my program, my credit score continues to drop even though debts are getting settled. This is mainly due to the collection that I had already settle through beyond and finished paying off, however, since they won’t do anything about it, my credit drops each time I look at it. Already talk to beyond about it and nothing getting done. They claim they can settle the account for half the amount than you owe but literally it doesn’t really do anything for you due to the fees they charge. Just settle your loan yourself and call to close everything down. Wish I would had read reviews before joining up with them.

Our goal is to save our clients as much time and money as possible through debt resolution compared to a high-interest cycle of debt many of our customers face from their credit cards. We’d like to note that our program is often much less expensive than continuing to stay in the cycle of making minimum payments to your creditors, which is made more expensive because of various fees and compounding interest.

We’d also like to note that once resolved debts are repaid they can be designated as "Settled" or "Paid Settled" or some other similar designation. However, unfortunately, we have no control over how, when, or what the creditor reports to the credit reporting agencies. We encourage our clients to practice positive credit behavior both during and after their programs to help their creditworthiness over time. Historically, we've found that many of our clients see an improvement in their credit score as their debts are resolved and paid.

We’d love the opportunity to continue working with you and are keen to further discuss your experience. Please call us at 800-282-7186 or email [email protected] to speak with our Client Success team. Thank you for choosing Beyond Finance.

Don't DO IT! They will wreck your credit and steal your money. And you will not get anything in return. Yes you will, you'll get a headache and a lot more aggravation than you bargained for. If you value your credit score, mine was over 700 when I began with them and now it's only barely fare 640 I do believe at this moment. I went down to 550 when I started. They will tell you not to talk to your creditors while they sit back and let your accounts grow with late charges so by the time a negotiation begins your account may have doubled the original amount plus you'll have delinquencies on you record. One of my accounts did just that and not only did it do that, but it went to collections while they were sitting on their bottoms. I was put in touch with one of the attorney's that work for them and she was useless as I received two court summons on this account. Had to appear in court last month, but the attorney did take care of that, but I went to court anyway to make sure. They will tell you one thing, and do quite another. They take out absorbent fees prior to even paying your creditor. They say it's 25% but it's way above that. I've paid $5016.00 to date and $2910.00 have gone to Beyond Finance Fees and only $2806.00 to my creditors. So that's even more than 50%. I've called them 5 times today and each time I get different information and an apology which doesn't help me much. Now I'm locked out of my online account and and can't even see what they are doing. They have no transparency and obviously no trouble telling you lies about what is actually going on. Told me they reached a settlement agreement with my final creditor, a year and a half later than when I began which was in March/April of 2020. Asked me if I could pay $750 payment and make my regular payment when it was due to settle this last account. The got the $750 but it did not go to the creditor, as the creditor was paid when my regular payment was made in the amount of $105.00. I was told there would be no fee associated with the last settlement but they took $910.00 for their fee. You do the math!

If I could write a review without having to give a star i would do without the hesitation. That in my opinion reviews need to be rated as 0 to 5 and Beyond Financie would definitely deserves a big ZERO. They are basically doing what you practically do on your own...Negotiating with your creditors Because of financial difficulties you are unable to pay and your asking for a settlement price; and to suspend your card. Well I'm being sued by a collection agency as a result of Beyond Financie; for reasons "beyond" me (pun intended) was unable to reah an agreement with Discover. So they reached out to me by referring me to a Lender to borrow more money to resolve what Beyond Financie failed to do. Do it your self speak to your creditors tell them your situation and suspend your card. And In your credit report Beyond Finance tells you it won't show up as a bankruptcy but it does at least in mine it did.

I started using this company a year ago. Turned out costing me way more money. I was making bi-weekly payments. Which was more then I was paying towards the credit card companies. Over $115 of each payment went to their fees and I found out only $5 was going to pay the actual credit card company. Then last month a got a summons to go to court. They had not negotiated with Discover, turned out they never even contacted to tell them I was in debt consolidation. I called beyond, they said they couldn't help me. I called a local lawyer where I lived, and he told me that it was a scam and to tell beyond I wanted my money back. I was also advised to close my bank account so beyond could not keep taking my money. So now I wait to go to court next week to explain to the judge why I have no money to pay discover, and I only live on a disability check....

They promised to settle my debts with 3 banks but the settlement amount they "negotiated" would have been offered to me by the bank and saved me their whooping 23% fees payable on principal balance not the settled balance. They take their fees once I approve the settlement in advance. They failed to make a payment to one of my credit cards although the settlement was reached because the account was few dollars short and they never called me warned me. This bank withdrew the offer to settle and the situation stayed hush-hush in my account for 9 months until I decided to call them. Trying to reach any of their "courteous" operators or agents is easy, getting answers is the challenge. FInally they would not accept the responsibility for their failure to settle my card, didn't offer to refund me the amounts they paid partially to the bank that I lost or even to refund me the fees they collected on the settlement of this card which they failed to deliver. Add to it that they avoid communications by emails or mail and claim that all our conversations are on a recordede line, but they never shared with me the log of calls they claimed they made to me. I am taking them to court for sure.

I think I made a mistake hiring this company Beyond Finance I am very unsatisfied and don't feel that we had the same understanding of how this was to go on if you're negotiating my debt why is it that I have paid $2,900 in 11 months and have had one account settled wow my credit card utilization has went from 98% to 125% I keep getting threatening letters from attorneys and collectors and then I'm told they can't negotiate my other accounts until there's more money in my account this wasn't what I had in mind from what I was told I think I made a big mistake going with this company and at this point I can't recommend them to anyone else this is just the half of it but others have already said the same thing I'm thinking.

Don’t use this Company, lots of hidden fees, you will end up paying double of what you owe. The so called dashboard is not transparent. Call your credit card companies yourself and negotiate, they are willing to work with you. Beyond is the worst of its kind.

Kimberly—

We absolutely NEVER charge hidden fees. The one and only fee we collect is a flat performance-based fee on each enrolled debt once we successfully reach settlements for our clients. This is explained during enrollment.

The average settlement offer we reach for our clients is 50% and we collect a 25% fee, so you’re generally paying about 75% of what you owe. We are happy to walk you through each of the fees you paid so you understand where your funds went.

Though individuals can certainly attempt to negotiate directly with their creditors, our negotiations team has years of experience and has built long-standing relationships with creditors which allows us to reach optimal settlements for our clients. It’s also true that creditors often ask for the balance of the settlement within a few months, which can be difficult for someone with multiple outstanding debts to manage. Through our program, you’re able to pay down each settlement gradually, so you still have cash for your expenses and funds to reach other settlements.

We’re sorry our program wasn’t a good fit for you.

I am over a year in to the program. I have paid them over 5k and only close to 2k has been paid to my creditors. Beyond is calling me asking for more money each month to settle debts. I know there is no guarantees but it appears they are only worried about getting their money and not settling debts. They only reached out to me to ask for more money or try to get me to apply to a different program.

I gave beyond over $8,500 over 9 months and they applied only $1,241 to my creditors! $6,949 they took for their settlement frees, absurd! I canceled the program with $2,271 left in my special purpose account and expected to get that back but they did not refund me a single penny and added that to their settlement fees! In total they paid 15% to my creditors and 85% to themselves. They were settling with creditors for 50% off but the creditors were calling me offering me the same savings! DO NOT WASTE your money on this company and settle with your creditors yourself.

We appreciate your feedback and regret to hear that your program did not live up to your expectations. We'd like to perform a thorough review of your account with you, as our program fees are only equal to 25% of your verified debt enrolled in our program and we never take fees for ourselves before securing your settlement with a creditor, getting that settlement approved by you, and making at least one payment to that creditor. Your settlement fees should not outweigh actual payments to your creditors.

Our goal is always maximum transparency with regard to our process and our clients' individual programs. Please give us a call at 800-282-7186 or email [email protected] so that we can review your account and address these concerns as soon as possible.

What they basically tell you to do is to ignore all your creditors, for months, or even years. Only after your credit takes a beat down that they start to negotiate with your creditors, which you can easily do yourself without paying beyond. One of my creditors threatened to take me to court, so I opted to handle this ONE creditor (out of 4) on my own, beyond kindly agreed to let me handle it on my own, however never warned me that they had already charged me 2100 . DO NOT use this service. They call you more than your creditors, and charge ridiculous amounts for doing nothing.

Don,

Our goal is to be as transparent as possible about our debt resolution program, which includes being upfront with our clients about our process, timeline, and fees.

An essential part of the program is for clients to delay payment to their creditors and make regularly scheduled deposits into a Dedicated Account. The money you save in this account will eventually be used to satisfy any obligations you have to your creditor. It is entirely our clients’ choice to delay payment to their creditors while we work with them to resolve their debt. As stated in our Welcome Kit, delaying payment to creditors helps give us the leverage needed to make resolutions and get you out of debt as soon as possible.

Our clients are welcome to withdraw any debt from our program at any time. If you do, you are entitled to the return of any money you accumulated less any fees earned by Beyond Finance.

We’d love the opportunity to continue working with you, and are keen to further discuss your experience and get this resolved. A member of our team will be reaching out shortly to speak with you.

I have paid over $1300 for a debt that was settled for $650. Original debt was only $1100, so I paid more than original debt. Now I am being sued by my last debtor due to the fact they haven't even contacted the in the past 6+ months. They told me to ignore attempts at collection and send them pictures of all communications in attempt to collect the debt. I did and am now being sued. SCAM!

Beyond is great as long as you are paying them but as soon as you Graduate their program and they owe you money back they become 100% crooks. I have been trying to get my refund back for over three months and have been lied to by over sixteen Beyond Representatives in the process. I made my last payment to Beyond back on the 18th of March and now it is the 5th of July and they still have not refunded my money they owe me. Just to be clear this whole three months my Dashboard shows they owe me over $950 dollars back they just haven't refunded it to me yet.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I paid 19 payments of 200+ dollars. They were taking too long as I seen the balance wasn't changing to pay off my lenders. I called to cancel it and I should've recieved over $4,000 back and they only gave me $1,374 back and claimed the other money was used for "Settlement fees and other B.S." Thr company is nothing but a thief, never use them.

I've been paying Beyond Finance every 2 weeks for over a year now and not even 1/3 of my 13 accounts have been "settled." My credit rating has completely tanked with no movement upward at all. They've contacted me about the loan option three times and rejected my application three times due to too many delinquencies. BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME TO STOP PAYING MY ACCOUNTS. I've contacted my bank to stop payment on Beyond Finance. They have not helped me at all. I would have been better off working with my creditors BY MYSELF.

They say that they will help reduce your debt and they do with the collection and then they turn around and up the total cost you originally owed to more with their cost and fees. So think twice before doing it unless the Banks and collection agencies won’t work with you. Just remember you will not save any money with Beyond it will cost you more at the end.

Hi there,

We appreciate your feedback and we’re sorry to hear that you have concerns about how much you’re saving.

Our goal is to save our clients as much money as possible, although we cannot always guarantee those savings with individual creditors. Our program can reduce our clients' enrolled debts by up to 50%. Compared with remaining in an often perpetual cycle of making minimum payments to your creditors, our program is much less expensive.

We’d love to discuss your program in greater detail. Please give us a call at 800-282-7186 or email [email protected] with your name, email address and phone number so we can get in touch as soon as possible. It’s important to us at Beyond Finance that we’re able to address your concerns.

Tennille, we appreciate your feedback.

We strive to be transparent with our clients about our program, which is why we review our fee structure with each client during their enrollment. Even with our fees, working with us can be significantly less expensive than paying the full amount owed to creditors, which includes higher interest and fees.

If you have any additional questions about your program or fees, give us a call at 800-282-7186 or email [email protected] to speak with a member of our team. Thank you for choosing Beyond Finance.

They are not honest with how much the program costs, they have horrible practices, aren't transparent and usually call me at least once a month to attempt to get me into more debt. Beyond Finance never settled after sending $8,000 to them throughout the year. When I told them I want to cancel and get my money back, they sent me $800 and kept all of my money!
