The wait time for customer service is 30-45 minutes. When I called to cancel my service the service representative tried to talk me out of it and then hung up on me. It took me another hour to get them to answer the phone when I called back. I have spent a week trying to get them to release my phone number so I can use it with my new phone.

I have 4 lines with CC. Unlimited talk, text & data. My daughter used (per cc), an excessive amount of data in a short period of time. The shut off her data and throttled all 4 lines. I called them and was told CC customers are a low priority to AT&T who own the towers that CC borrows.

First I must say that their customer service tried to be helpful and was US based - spoke good English. However, after signing up for the three line plan, I gave up after five days as they were never able to port our numbers over and activate our phones. Very disappointing experience overall.

Consumer Cellular has poor customer service, unempathetic representatives, and expensive and inconsistent pricing for their plans. Every month, the plan price increases. I would not recommend Consumer Cellular to anyone because they are not the best cell phone provider, as they state and mislead people to believe.

They stink. At first they signed me up for a useless plan that if you used it you were going to go over the limit and they would you up to the next plan. They never set up my voicemail for weeks until I inquired. I transfered out and made sure everything was settled and now they are trying to Bill me for 2 extra months that I paid for.

They recently added a fee to opt OUT of autopay/e-bill, which is the deal-breaker for me. Charging a fee because I don't want to share my cc/banking details seems shady. I've filed a complaint with the FTC and the FCC, although I doubt it will do any good. I'm looking at Mint Mobile as an alternative.

I’m trying to leave CC but when the new provider tried to port over my number it says it’s locked! It wasn’t locked 4 days ago when I activated 2 phones & one still doesn’t work. They say it’s not locked after numerous calls & chats, where do I go now? Help

Consumer Cellular was a good service not anymore. Cannot access customer service without, at least, an hour wait on the phone. Once there got cut off. I’ve had it, they are still blaming Covid but they need to stop. Getting a new provider asap

Received both phones in the mail. I have been trying for two weeks to activate them over the phone. I have waited for hours and left 12 return call messages. Still have both phones in the box. Now my old service is cutting me off. Just can't win.

Beware, if your account is hacked CC will blame you. They will lock you out of your account, even when you do more than them to stop the fraud. They will accuse you of trying to scam them. They don't care about their customers.

I recently dropped a line for my granddaughter after she graduated from college. I was told my new bill will be $63. I got a bill for $79. I opened a cht with a representative to straiten out the bill. I got the runaround. The I asked for the code so I could take my paid off phone with me. Didn't get it. Now I have to buy a new phone.

My wife and I got seperate accounts to get the 35 g unlimited for each of us. No longer needed that much data so Icalled to add her to my account. Over an hour of b.s. before they would add her, without making it two plans on my account and a cost of over $100. Yes we will be changing carriers.

Absolutely the worst company ever. Do not move your service here. I've only been with them about 7 months and it's been a nightmare month after month. I have 2 phones. One I keep the data turned off and they constantly say I over use my data. There is no possible way. I even took screen shots from my phone to prove it. They are flat out liars

I had consumer cellular service a couple of years ago and was very dissatisfied with the service. After I canceled the service, I went through hell in order to get consumer cellular to release my telephone number. I would suggest that consumers avoid this company.

Don’t do it - DO NOT ACTAVATE WITH THEASE PEOPLE- rude and belligerent service, and hours On hold !!! Better Verizon or AT&T To save $10-15 and have to deal with these people.. I don’t know if it’s worth all that. True, they did have good costumer service in the past. But that is definitely not the case anymore.

I wanted to change carriers to consumer cellular but I couldn't get the service were I live. They ran a $30.00 charge to make sure your bank we let them pull money out of your account. The person said that the $30.00 would be refunded but they have been taking $24.72 for 7 months form my bank account and I DON'T have a phone with them.

I have been with them for many of years, I need'd to upgrade my phone and it's been nothing but a nightmare. Try to buy this one phone and for three days now every time the price keeps changing. so gave up and keeping my 3g phone. and looking for a new carrier for service.

My parents had consumet cellular one phones they were told that their bill would be 20.dollars a month come to find out it was over 40.00 . My parents are on disability and retired. When they told me I switch them to Spectrum and their bill is 14.00 a month I would not recommend consumer cellular to anyone.

Consumer Cellular are Crooks. They offer one price, but later charge much higher. They claim no contracts. I told them to close my account- they continued to charge me. These crooks also don’t have the data coverage they claim. Avoid at all costs!

It took for ever just get started. They lied about being able to keep my old phone and number. Had to go through 2 different sim cards, numerous calls to customer service and they still get everything done. I would not recommend Consumer Cellular for my dog. Worst phone service of all time

Sometimes calls don't come it; sometimes I can't call out. More often the quality is soo bad I have to ask the other person to call back using my land line. And I havae never been able to get someone from Consumer Cellular on the line.

BUYERS BEWARE . The thirty day "No risk" return will not apply if you purchase your phone from some one other than Consumer Cellular directly. I made my purchase at Target and found on trying to return it at twenty-two days that the Target return policy ( twenty days) applied so I am stuck with a phone. Customer Service was of no help.

Eight months ago I cancelled and two months after that they were still sending me invoices. I finally paid to get rid of them, and now they are still sending me a bogus invoice. Their service was horrible, their coverage was horrible, and their billing is crooked. Stay away from this company and avoid some aggravation.

Lousy reception, lousy transmission, extremely limited coverage (don't believe their advertising), texts are not received or sent and just try to get them on the phone, you'll be subject to endless advertising and when that's over you'll find you are 48th in line to talk to someone.

I placed 4 different Phone calls on 9/15 in an attempt to join..was never actually able to complete transaction......very bad customer service experience today..Reps seemed very disinterested in helping me. I was lured by the low cost of the plans but found the experience disappointing. :(

After 3 trips to the Tech Desk at the Target in Glendale, Colorado, I was still unable to get switched from AT&T. Trip 1: I was told my AT&T PIN wasn't accepted. Trip 2: I was told my Galaxy S6 was "locked". Trip 3: I brought in the unlock code from AT&T and was told the CC person "didn't show up today". I'm done.

received sim cards on a Friday for two lines one finally got transferred on Sunday after many calls to c.c. it is now Tuesday night and still trying to get the other transferred they keep telling me to wait three hours and it should be done I'm thinking they meant 300 hours. the savings aren't worth the hassle

I have had the service for a little more than 2 weeks and this is the worst service by far. It reminds me of when cell phones were just becoming popular. Lots of dropped calls and unable to send or receive texts consistently. I'm firing them and going with a different service. They suck!

Buyer beware I never even opened the SIM card because I did not need to activate any phone on consumer cellular yet I was charged almost $35 they said once I purchased the SIM card it was activated. So not only did I give from $5 for the card I gave them $35 for absolutely nothing

After many years, CC jacked-up my plan to $75. I saw my wife was using her phone a lot, so I thought it (unlimited) was OK. When I checked, it turns out my average bill should have been $45. I called CC for a rebate, they said "We cannot). So I SO WITCHED TO sPECTRUM. wATCH YOUR PLAN. tHEY RIPPED ME OFF FOR OVER $700.

We had absolutely no service in our house or outside! It was awful. I called them, they had no answer for me. We had our phones for 2 weeks, (too long) and sent back. I ended our contract and went back to vetizon. So many problems
