Gabb has the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. I had a really tricky time getting everything complete on their very user friendly, but SUPER finnicky website, pure frustration. Every email communication between myself and a couple different representatives kept me trying for this phone. It worked, and I will praise the team members for keeping me a customer!

Tried it out on kick start and it was everything a parent wants in a phone for a child handling their own phone for the first time. It has all the limits you want without all the fuss of trying to keep up with it. Their service has great connection and no problems in the local area where the kid needs it most. Customer service was great in navigating the really simple phone and their service and the price is perfect!

The GPS tracking is terrible and can not find my child's location even the phone signal is good and the phone is in the same room of my phone. I just can not understanding why the phone is not working as expected as other companies (such as ATT, T-mobile, and verizon. I guess I have to cancel the gabb and switch to another company.

We canceled our service after a short time and missed the deadline to return the phone. We checked with the company and were assured we could still receive the refund if we returned the phone. We mailed the phone back and never received a refund. We inquired with the company again and were informed that the phone was non-refundable after the deadline. We feel misled and upset because Gabb got our money for the phone as well as the phone. If we knew the item was non-refundable we would have kept it.

On paper the Gabb watch looks great. After purchase it shows a different story. GPS tracking is horrible. I have two of these for my kids and when they are together is will show that they are not. It often shows them miles apart. Battery life is not great. They need charged every day. Support is horrible as well. I opened a ticket at it gook over a week for them to respond. The watch does not support 911 however they charge you the E911 surcharge even though it is impossible to use. I am glad I did not sign up for the contract because I will be canceling my service soon.

Devices are cheaply made, software is buggy, and customer service is not helpful. Need I say more? I made the choice to spend less by signing up for a 2-year contract and I regret it. My only option to get out of it is to pay the exorbitant termination fees. We bought 2 watches for our kids and we have had constant issues getting through to them or receiving calls back. Defeats the whole purpose of purchasing them in the first place. Not worth the hassle. Spend extra on an Apple Watch or flip phone!

Gabb is a great idea, but the quality stops there. The locate phone feature only updates once every three weeks or so, so good luck if the phone is lost. Cell coverage is horrible, regardless of signal strength or WiFi calling being enabled. My child’s phone just randomly stops making calls. Gabb’s help articles are useless and customer service is non-responsive.

I have tried the Gabb phone for my kids for two years now. It's pretty worthless except 1. No internet and 2. You can track who they call and text (with a 24 hr lag). The bad.... - Absolutely worthless App - only way to limit use is by suspending the line via a web browser - very limited diagnostic tools for parents or to help kids learn responsible use. - CONSTANT attempts to upsell - terrible GPS and battery life

This phone is horrible!!!!!! There are so many problems that they haven't fixed, and every time I try to tell the company the problems I have had with this phone, they just try to avoid the question. Here are the problems I have had: 1.) If someone adds me to a group chat, it will either not work, or I won't be able to see any texts on it, or all the messages will be jumbled up and out of order, or other people in that group chat won't be able to see that the group chat was ever made. 2.) If someone wants to send you a lot of pictures at once, they need to send them 5 at a time or else it will come out blurry and really bad quality. 3.) They make the new apps they add to the gabb phone plus seem exciting, but they're not. The weather app always shows the wrong temperature, and gabb music has awful songs, with playlists that they made, and you can't even listen to individual songs that you want to listen to. Also, Sora is supposed to be a learning app, but it thinks I go to the school for the deaf and blind, solely based on my location and when I typed in the school I go to, it said they don't recognize my school! 4.) Camera quality sucks!! 5.) I am currently on my 3rd gabb phone right now because the others have broken down or suddenly stopped working. Each time this has happened, I have lost every single one of my photos! I had valuable photos of when I went to Costa Rica on there! Overall, when you buy this phone, expect to only use it for texting and calling.

The phone hardware is average as the whole point of Gabb is to have a simple trial phone for your kid. GPS location tracking app is not perfect but they have been improving it. Customer support was very proactive and helpful. Ultimately we decided we DID need more bells and whistles on a phone so chose to disconnect from Gabb in favor of another product. I would recommend for your child’s first phone.

Our son had Gabb for a little over a year and it was just ok. The customer service was terrible. Couldn't reach someone most of the time and we had a REALLY difficult time to get the GPS tracking to work a lot of times! Our son would go with a friend for hours and we couldn't track him and wouldn't be able to reach anyone to help us fix it. I think if they could improve their customer service it would be a better company to go with. We had to switch to Apple for him so we could track him easily. The phone service was fine. Kind of expensive at $30-$35/month.

If your child deletes text message you can’t see it as a parent. So you have no idea what they are texting to each other. Also, you can’t turn off text messaging altogether. Well they say you can but it might pop back on they can’t guarantee that if you choose it to be off that it won’t pop back on and you will have no idea when, knowing this I wanted out of the phone but they are forcing me to complete my year with them even though we are no longer using the phone at all. Bull, now when I want to cancel they will make me pay early cancellation contract fee. Absurd. Do not go to this company they have reps that do not help or no what they are talking about.

We've had the Watch phone for less than a month. It will no longer send text messages. There is no tech support over the weekend, so we waited until Monday for them to "reset the network". This did not fix the problem and support is not responding. Also, the battery life is terrible. My daughter barely uses the watch and it needs to be charged daily. Update: Support did finally fix the texting issue. The battery life is still marginal and the watch phone feels "fragile", no way it will last 2 years, but for now it meets our needs.

We have been a customer over two years. The first phone was more a standby, just in case we needed to communicate with our children. Was never used enough to really test it out. Now the kids are older we decided to purchase two Z2 phones. After having them for less than 30 days. We now see that was a mistake. Very poor signal strenght when inside buildings. That is a huge issue when inside their school or at school events and we cannot connect or never receive their txt messages. If it wasn't for the fact we aren't ready for the phones to have internet we would have gone with another option. As far as trying to get a hold of support, and believe me I have burned up my time waiting in the que just to get one of the phones to even work. Although the staff is helpful and responsive. Gabb needs to look at how other companies operate support centers.

While the intent is good, there are some extremely frustrating things about the gabb phone. The phone is extremely fragile and poorly built. There is also no way to back up any of your text messages. When trying to switch to a new phone, this gets really frustrating, as you need the developer tools to do this. Not having developer tools available is fine, but there should be a way for parents to enable it to transfer data to the new phone. There is also no way for parents to monitor anything that goes on in texts or calls. Overall, get Bark instead. Gabb isn't worth it with all the downsides. Also there is no warranty. Unless you want to pay $5 a month PLUS $40 when you actually need to use the warranty.

The bad: we bought the case and screen protector and screen has shattered twice and no warranty. I wish there was a way to get music without a computer but is what it is. The camera is not great quality. I like the app to see where my kids/phone are and i love keeping in touch with kids and not worrying. I have been a huge support, they need a better case or warranty on protective products.

I ordered the screen protector through Gabb and I've had it less than a month and it already has several cracks throughout the screen. Two of the biggest cracks I found after I'd been sitting down with the phone in my pocket, I wasn't even sitting on the phone! I didn't drop it either. I keep finding more and more cracks and I'm not dropping the phone or being violent with it.
