The Day B4 Thanksgiving my phone decided to LOSE SERVICE. I called AT&T Customer Service and was told of an outage in my area and also got cut off every time I was in process of phone call with a rep to discuss my issue. I went to my local store and was told a NEW SIM CARD is my issue. Had it 2 weeks now and seems to be working well...... The fact that I spend $60 /month for service and deal with this situation is unbearable. Should any more issues arise I will be switching service.

AT&T has been fine. My family has used them for the past six years. Service has been good everywhere we go, but customer service is disappointing. We especially were disappointed with our recent trip to Europe - we went to the AT&T store to get our international plan set up, and the employee was very clear that we would be getting just as much data and service as our domestic plan. When we got abroad, we found that reality was very different. It sucked. And AT&T wouldn't do anything to help us. Bummed, but their day-to-day service for us is fine, so we stay with them.

I have been with AT&T for the last 12 years. We have only had problems like twice in that time, so that is not bad. The service is really great, I rarely have issues with service issues and call drops. We get an amazing price because of when we signed up. I wish they had an unlimited data option, but we do have a lot of data to share.

Have had my cell service with AT&T for over a decade. Service is strong everywhere I've been. The addition of other international services being included is super helpful for travel especially to Mexico and Canada. Only complaint is you have to inquire about there new programs or they keep you on your old plan. Often times you can get cheaper service with more/unlimited updates just by asking. Worth speaking with them once a year to see if you can save

I'm been a long time customer of AT&T for my cell phone service, my husbands and our two son's. With phone calls AT&T has always been very helpful in keeping our bill low, in letting us know the latest discounts, the latest programs. And not only is the service helpful but the phone signal and reception works very well. I think it is the best cell phone service. Before this when I had 18 employees I had all of my sales people on AT&T. My sons have gone to school out of state and the service has worked very well where they live too. I'm very pleased.

I have been with AT&T for a very long time. I love the customer service I receive whenever I call time. I have purchased two Iphones from their stores and the staff has been so knowledgeable and friendly. Never has anyone been overbearing or forceful. Each time everything was explained to me so I could go home with my phone confident I would be able to use each.

AT&T is the TOPS!! I have been an AT&T paying customer for over 15 years. My family and I have the phones, internet, and the newly added Direct TV. The whole time, we've been thoroughly satisfied with the product and service AT&T provides. And HUGE THANKS for helping my family and I out during the COVID-19 pandemic. I'll never leave this family oriented company!

I have been a customer of AT&T since cell phones were invented. I have always been extremely happy with their service - although I was not always a big fan of the fact that they did not have unlimited data without paying a lot more. I wrote many reviews (as I am sure others did), and they heard us! Ever since they came out with their unlimited data plan, I have become a totally satisfied customer. I will never go anywhere else!

My experience with AT&T is pretty good for the most part . One of the things that I don't like is when you call in to speak to a live person it takes what seems like forever. I like personal service, not talking to an automated machine. But other than that I have been a valued customer for a long time & I have no intentions of changing providers. Thanks AT&T

AT&T is among the higher priced mobile phone service providers but you often get what you pay for in this industry. I have previously been with Verizon (the most expensive) and T-Mobile (less expensive, but poor coverage). AT&T has a robust and reliable network with good speed. As someone who travels for work, it is comforting to know that my phone will get a connection all over the U.S., something I could not count on with T-Mobile.

My family and I have had AT&T so long that I can't remember having anything else! With AT&T being a GSM network, it allows the capability of being able to surf and internet and talk. We need to be able to text, talk, and surf the web in our lives! I've never had any major issues with my AT&T service in the many years we've used them and will definitely continue into the future.

We have TV, cell phones and internet bundled with them. Their customer service is great. We had an issue with our internet and they went above and beyond to get it worked out. They tech that came out to our home to service it gave us his personal number to contact him because we were having so much trouble. But when they finally figured out what the cause was, they approved O.T. so they could get it repaired once and for all.

I've had AT&T for many years, and although it's expensive, it's worth it. I've never had a problem with coverage, except in the middle of national parks like Yellowstone or Zions, or in the middle of Wyoming. Whenever I've needed it, I've had service, and I can count the number of dropped calls I've had on one hand, even when I was making 100+ calls a day.

My daughter loves to stream movies and music all the time and I was always paying extra fees. Now it is a set price every month so thanks to their great plan I now don't worry each month!

My family and I were AT&T users for a number of years. Let's be real, the more providers there are, the higher they need to make their cost. This is why we left AT&T. We found a better deal through Verizon and we have had them for quite sometime. As you are researching, make sure to look into the perks of AT&T and also into the negative effects. This will provide you with valid data as you make your decision of which provider to us. Sadly, I have had poor communication with customer service and feel that it has a long way to go before being super efficient. Look into monthly fees, hidden fees, annual fees, and then decide if you think it will be good for you.

AT&T has been a consistently trustworthy phone provider. During my travels abroad, I wasn’t even charged any international fees. This is super helpful considering I leave the country a lot. They are always readily available on the phone if I have any questions, and for that I am grateful. Data is usually reliable, and my friends that don’t have AT&T are often jealous of me when my service is better than theirs. I am very pleased with this company as a whole, and I would recommend to anyone.

In November, 2023, I INQUIRED about receiving an old landline number for my business. I was signed up for an account without my permission and given a phone and phone number I did not know I was signing up for. It was supposed to be an INQUIRY, by which AT&T was supposed to call back because they had guaranteed I would receive a specific number. That did not happen. I received a burner phone that I promptly returned to the store on February 29th, 2024. The number was incorrect, and the store and store manager said they would take the phone and return it. I was assured that the account was closed, and that I would not have to concern myself with it anymore. I received a confirmation of the return order and an email from her apologizing that the account was opened. She explained that it was common practice for the Sales Representatives at AT&T to open up accounts even if they knew the correct service couldn't be provided because it boosted sales. She said there was absolutely no way that I could receive that business number with AT&T and that the initial sales representative had lied to me, in spite of the fact that I was given 4 different request numbers for that specific phone number. She said that it was not possible to create a request like that and that all four "request numbers" were fake. AT&T's own store manager acknowledged that! A few months later, I started receiving bills saying that I owe AT&T money for this account that was only in inquiry. Now, I'm being charged for services that don't even exist! When I called and spent EIGHT straight hours on the phone SEVEN, which were on hold, I was told that there was no way to close or cancel the account. I was transferred over 10 different times because there was no process. Several requests for escalation were refused. Even after physically walking into the store, requests to speak with a regional manager AND the vice president were denied because I couldn't "prove" my identity, even though I had my driver's license and passport in my hand. It is clear that AT&T has a DELIBRATE, INTENTIONAL system that is set up to take customer's money without providing service. Each department can't do anything about anything, including signing you up for a phone! Such a system ensures that AT&T will never need to take responsibility for their terrible, irresponsible, and unethical business practices. AT&T lacks the desire to correctly "fix" this or any other issue. AT&T does not need any more "proof" that I do not have a physical phone that has no service. They can see that there is no phone and no service. If AT&T wishes to "investigate" something fraudulent it can start investigating itself. Naturally its system ensures that it won't find anything. So, in addition, they can set up business practices that actually work, where employees can actually do something about a problem. What's more, they can give their call centers the correct phone numbers to transfer a customer to another department. Hopefully someday they will be held accountable for their business practices, but until then, stay away. And, in the meantime, readers, consider reporting your issues to the attorney general instead of just writing your reviews- it's the only way you will be able to get your issue resolved. AT&T lacks the desire to correctly "fix" this or any other issue. AT&T does not need any more "proof" that I do not have a physical phone that has no service. They can see that there is no phone and no service. If AT&T wishes to "investigate" something fraudulent it can start investigating itself. Naturally it's system ensures that it won't find anything. I purchased a phone at the local AT&T store. Upon purchasing the phone, the customer agent told me that I would receive an email from AT&T that would assist me in setting up my account. I went to the aforementioned email and went to the link provided. The site had a link for “New User.” However, it would not let me set up an account, as it would not let me set up a password, even though I followed the instructions to a tee. The above is Example of Failing to provide correct instructions for setting up a password for an account to service a product I had purchased Next, I tried another method on the site that didn’t work. The above is Example Number 2: No clear direction as to how to set up an account that actually works. I finally found a customer service number (after much searching) and called it. Somehow I was able to set up a PIN, which was aggravated by the fact that the phone-robot voice kept missing my numerical input, though, again, I was exceedingly accurate. The voice said that it didn’t receive any input from me even though I entered it. It took several tries. The above is Example 3 - Shoddy phone equipment and Example 4 - Using a phone robot that you have to dumb yourself down to their level in order to get something done instead of being able to talk to an actual human being. Somehow I was able to get through to a Customer Service agent. I told them my problem, that A) I was trying to set up a password and the system would not let me, and B) that I wanted to purchase more minutes. The individual said that my phone was serviced by a third-party and that I would have to call them. He gave me the phone number. This, after being notified that I was supposed to call a certain number, which ended up being wrong. The above is Example 5 - Not giving me the correct instructions to begin with, instructions that were misleading, Example 6 - Selling me a phone that is not even serviced by AT&T, and Example 7 - A Major Corporation using a third party vendor. No. I was doing business with AT&T, not some other perception. I should never have to go to some other company, one that I do not do business with. I then called this other number. They wanted my PIN, so I entered it. The (robot) voice said it did not recognize my phone. The above is Example 8 - Not being able to detect my phone even though I had gone through all of the correct steps. Let’s recap. AT&T did the following: • Failed to provide accurate instructions on how to set up an account • Mislead me into thinking I was supposed to contact one customer service perception when in fact it was supposed to be another, which, again, I was never told about from the start, • Does business with a third-party vendor that the customer is just expected to interact with. That is inexplicable, when you are one the largest corporations in the world. Furthermore, this overly complicates things. And, I was never told about this ahead of time. • Shoveled me off to this third party vendor even though the original instructions said to call the original customer service number • Has shoddy equipment that does nothing but waste the customer’s time. • Uses robot phone menus and phone robots, instead of having live actual human beings to deal with. This is counter-productive, it is a case of going backwards. • Has an online interface that is confusing, misleading, and just plain DOES NOT WORK. Finally, I took the phone back for a refund. The customer service agent did not even ask why I was returning the phone. Out of the over $126 I originally paid for the phone and minutes, I ended up with a “refund” of $23.96. This means I went through the process of purchasing a phone, then going through several erroneous processes, was not able to find the correct help, all for a phone I was unable to use because I could not add minutes to because of the above incidents which display the company’s misleading practices. On top of that I was never told about the fees one incurs upon making a return. All told I lost over $100. And for what? I think any reasonable person would agree that this constitutes a scam on the part of AT&T---i.e., fooling consumers into purchasing a product which intentionally does not work, so they can end up pocketing the “return fees”, or, if the customer does not make the return, the company keeps the entire amount. This is wrong. I have therefore reported AT&T to the FTC for fraudulent business practices. Furthermore, I will never do business with them again and will never recommend them to anyone.

I have all things AT&T. However, I rate them two stars because I’m having an issue with my genie box that’s been going on for several years and they can’t seem to resolve it. Also, I traded in my old iPhone for a brand new iPhone 13 Pro. I was told it was a free trade-in. Therefore, the new phone did not cost me anything. So I gave them my old phone and they gave me a new phone. All good. However, when I received my AT&T bill, I noticed that they started to deduct the amount of the new phone off of my bill every single month, so therefore the phone wasn’t quite a free trade-in. So you’re locked in and cannot get another phone until that phone is completely paid off and although they’re not charging me, they credit me the amount that credit has to be satisfied which takes several years therefore, I’m stuck with the same phone as well as their service without ever signing a contract.

We had 2 techs come to our new house in April to set up the internet due to the last owners ripping the connections out of the walls. 1 tech signed us up for the cell service & gave us a bunch of special discounts that only techs get. This did not help us when we called their customer service line or went in-store due to these folks not getting these specific deals. Our bill has been a mess ever since. Then they shut off our automatic withdrawal & took away that discount. So i had to go up to store to get it fixed. They did not tell me it can take up to 4 billing cycles for it to kick back in. It's coming from our bank acct. We've had at&t internet for years, moved to different states w/ it, only ever had 1 issue w/ them claiming we didn't return a modem when in fact they told us to leave it due to it being a "community router". Took 2yrs to get them to fix that mess. The reason i say this is because the they cut our cell service off after not withdrawing our payment & then "fixing it". The tech today claims the payment was kicked back... saying the bank must not recognize at&t withdrawal... yet We've had our internet automatically withdrawn for years & it's been withdrawing from the same bank acct. this entire time w/o issue... but yet our cell isn't? And i know it will come out regardless of whether or not there's money in the acct. when it's linked directly to the bank acct. When the last rep corrected the situation, she told me to use the app to do a payment arrangement, however even tho i chose oct. 26th, they changed it (w/o notifying me) to the 13th & just cut the service off!! Now claiming i broke our promise to pay. Then told me that's due to them not allowing me to arrange it past the 17th. Well that's not what your app allowed! So now we are shut off for the next 10 days & i have major health issues & stay home w/ our little boy. They also owe us $800 for my husband's trade-in & they sent us 3 faulty phones so we decided not to purchase a phone from them. They told us they can only disperse the payments portioned out over the next 2yrs. So basically, they locked us into a contract they claim they don't do. So now, in order to get away from At&t we have to spend money & lose our $800 credit due to their crappy service. The techs & customer service reps really don't know what they are doing. Every single person I've talked to tells me something different. I've spent hours HOURS on the phone & at their stores every single month since April trying to fix our acct. And this whole "it takes 3 cycles to show up on your bill" BS is just that, BS. AT&T ruins people. I recently found out they've screwed 3 of my family members over too. We will be leaving AT&T as soon as we can. Thought the grass would be greener & it's been a nightmare.

Awful unprofessional company. Salesman lied and disappeared when we had questions about the 2 phones we signed up for. Activated one and discovered the coverage was NOT the same as Verizon and had no coverage in the areas we frequent. Immediately canceled the contract and sent the phones back. Then started getting huge bills from AT&T and called over 5 times to get an itemization. Finally they figured out we DID send the phones back and struck that off the bill. At last we get a past due letter for around $95 so we called to find out what that charge was for. At no point could we get an itemized invoice. Some charge for "restocking" and 1 activation fee. But finally to get them off our back we paid it. I hope I never hear from that company again!

AT&T has the best coverage for our area. My husband is a truck driver and has found them very reliable on the road. Their customer service is always friendly. I’m not always happy with their prices, but it is worth it to receive qaulity service. I recommend them for their multiple functions qualities.
