Then, they will walk the customer through how to work each feature and operate their new walk-in tub, as well as answer any questions that they may have. KOHLER’s installation specialists will also carefully remove the old bathtub or shower and take it with them when they leave so that the customer doesn’t need to worry about disposal.

Just had a team from KOHLER out to do repairs to my system. There were 2 items of concern with my new installation. The first issue was the drainage of the tub was of concern. This was corrected when the plumbing involved plugged up and I required calling a professional plumber to remediate the issue which was most likely due to broken tiles in the pipes which came from preparation for the installation of KOHLER walk in tub. The plumber was surprised not to retrieve anything that would normally be the issue. Also in preparation for the plumber I had my septic tank flushed and cleaned over the weekend which did not alleviate the issue, and they said my septic tank and system was working properly. The other issue was the shower wand bar did not come away from the wall far enough and was spraying the water onto the faucet filling the tub, so anyone using the shower attachment would need to lean over the faucet to use, (very inconvenient). The team that showed up to do repairs had nothing to do since the plumber had taken care of the main issue of the plugged system, and they where unaware of the shower bar and had nothing to fix that issue, but said they would message to the sales person to see if there is a fix. I have yet to hear and did not know in advance that KOHLER was sending a team for my issue until hours before they arrived and was unsure of their reason for coming. Afterwards it made sense from my previous message I sent.

I paid a much higher cost than I thought, but was ok with that because Kohler, but then the installers did a crap job. We had agreed to take the entire room to the studs and then install new drywall/board for the tub and surround. They didn’t take down to the studs and they didn’t do a complete drywall/board install around the tub. Not happy at all! I am from WI and have always been impressed with Kohler that is why I was willing to pay 30k for just the tub install.

The SalesGuy just spoke for hours about Kohler legacy and history and paid no attention to our need. Lied about the dimensions of the walk in bath tub and other features. It really feels like I have been robbed of my hard earned money. One of the existing tiles in the bathroom was damaged, was promised a replacement and it has been weeks and no body has come to fix it.

So far my experience with West Lake / Kohler is very bad. The installation was scheduled for Thursday and Friday, May 2nd & 3rd. On Thursday the tup installers, Evan and Eric arrived. They were friendly and polite, but their attire looked like backwood moonshiners. The electrician showed up later that day. They were able to get the tub in the bathroom, but now the pocket door does not open as easy as it did before. The crew finished the installation and went back to Cape Coral and Ocala respectively. On Friday the city inspectors came and asked were were the contractors, and I said I do not know. That same day I discovered that the toilet they removed to but he tub in did not flush. They also did not put the toilet paper roller back on, so I did that myself. They came back Monday and fixed the toilet, but the work was not installation was not neat or clean. The electrical inspector came to day but the electrical contractor did not show up. The inspector opened up on of the panels and I able to see ruble and debrie that should have been cleaned out. So far I a very disappointed and I would not recommend Kohler, because their installation team is not good. I hope the tub works, without passing the inspections, I was told by the city that it may not be safe to use the walk in tub.

Permit process is taking much longer than expected. They don't return my calls. I expected the installation done by now.

We ended up with a tub that is completely useless for our needs. We needed a wheelchair type unit. Unit is not in use. Take it back to Kansas. Not needed here
