I am a perfectionist. The work was done up to my standards. But the time frame for the work was unrealistic. Firstly it takes time to prepare a crew and equipment for a job. Second it takes travel time to reach a job site. I was told to be prepared for their arrival by as early as 7 A. M. But to expect the arrival by 7:45. The crew arrived about 8:30. Thirdly I was told the work would be completed by 11:00. It was completed before 3:00 except for stowing of tools. I pressed the crew to leave by 3:00. My wife is a hero. She works 6 days a week caring for autistic children. She has to be at work by 3. If she is late the children become highly stressed. She lost a work partner last week because of the death of her partner's husband. So the children are very worried about my wife's care for them. It is critical that time estimates are accurate. I left with her before the crew had finished packing at a few minutes after 3:00. She was a few minutes late to her caregiving. When I returned I was satisfied with the quality of workmanship but found a forgotten hardhat and cone. The items are on my front porch waiting to be picked up by a crewman or thief when they are in the neighborhood. Since I am a new customer my given rating is not accurate. Also I have not made a payment yet so I am neither a paying customer or a non paying customer.

We have had the Vivint Solar Company install solar panels on our roof in which we’re faulty. They were supposed to be coming to fix the roof from the leaking caused by the solar panels. Putting up critter guards they left off on our driveway side of our house and raising up the panels to prevent any other damage. Reinstalling the rest of the panels they took off. So far we had a roofing contractor come over to access the damage to our roof putting a patch on the holes with grey shingles on a brown roof as well as the new holes to be fixed left putting a metal patch without shingles also leaving insulation and mites all over the attic that needs to be cleaned out professionally. This has been going on since 2019 Now going on September 15th 2020. We are still waiting for the roofing company to fix the damage to our roof and attic in which we have found more holes from the solar panels not leaving a gap at the bottom only a half inch in which caused the softness in the roof from the rain and snow not being able to drain out. Thanks to Vivint Solar for all your help in this matter. UPDATE; We are now very happy to say that the guys came over and fixed everything RESOLVED

Our Rep was great with follow up and everything until we signed the agreement and got our solar. He than avoided us after the solar was installed. He promised us a $500 bonus check for me and my mother in law for signing up with him and that it can take up to 4-8 weeks after our solar was installed, which was fine, but that was a lie. This is the 3rd time we've called in and asked were our bonus check was and all they did was kept resending a new check by mail. Its now a year since we got the solar and still, no check. This is the worst customer service experience I had. The worst part, I referred two friends to vivint at the end of 2018. They also got the same bonus agreement. I hope they don't go through the same thing I went through. I will not again refer anyone I know to them again.

We lease are solar panels can’t get Vivint Solar app to work several emails no response. Didn’t even know I could check the panels to see if there working by the panel tell I read reviews. I’ve had good luck. Only complaint is no one told me about the utility true up bill. PG&E charges me 650.00 a year for having solar. Yes the bill is for electricity transfer and storage fees. I purchase electricity 18 cents per kilowatt and sell excess to PG&E foe 1/2 a cent a Killowatt. There are solar companies who allow you to store excess electricity and use it during the night. App access. Very nice vivint doesn’t offer that all in all we save a few hundred a year.

Paul A. from Vivint contacted us in August when we agreed to solar we needed our roof replaced Paul said he can roll that into the solar payments. This was a huge help for us financially. Kellner Roofing cam in and had the roof done in one day! Saul from there was very professional the roofing crew were quick and they left my property cleaner than when they started. The Vivint crew came installed my panels upgraded my electrical panel in one day also. They again were very professional. I had 2 bumps in the road the first was the company who was to do the energy audit they did not show the day they were supposed to I made another appointment they came in and did a stellar job. The other was my utility company did not change my meter. That is what I'm waiting on today. Paul has been with me the whole way got my my inspections on days off so I didn't lose pay. As if today all head been installed and inspected I'm just waiting on the meter switch. I'm sure this will be resolved tomorrow. Overall I'm very pleased with Paul and the Vivint team. Now i wait for it to be turned on and the savings to start.

Once we signed up, the panels were up within a few days. Then the waiting game began. Very hard to contact Jason (Area manager) who took control of our account from Chad Christensen who was awesome. It took over a month for the inspection which was done by a Vivint Lead tech and someone from the city. Then another few weeks to wait for the net meter from Rocky Mountain Power (RMP). Once the meter was installed, the RMP rep said that we were good to go. When I questioned Vivint, they said that I had to wait for "official" PTO (Permission To Operate) word before I could turn my system on. When I called Vivint a few days later, they said that I could turn my system on but that I could not monitor what is being produced until they receive the official word. That's where I am right now. Overall, Vivint is a great company to go with for solar. Beautiful panels along with a awesome looking Solar Edge brand inverter.

The good: I was skeptical about solar, but the salesman answered all of my questions about the PPA. It sounded too good to be true, but it isn't for me. We switched to time of day metering, are saving about $250 per month on utility bills, and we now run the air conditioning to where we are comfortable here in hot central California. We used to be in tier 4 every month in the summer ($$$$), and now we only get into tier 2 in the hot months. My system was sized well, so my true-up is minimal. The not so good: installation took many months because they didn't have the right pads to fit our tile roof. Even after installation, it took a long time to get all the permits squared away so the system could be turned on. The customer service people were very friendly, but never got back to me, and didn't get things done. I agree with others, the website is worthless. My co-workers with other systems can tell what their units are putting out in real time. I just get to see how many trees I saved last month.

My experience working with vibrant solar so far has been better than expected handling of the ARC application form and city permitting. My sales rep Duff D could not of been better he walked me through the whole process and was extremely knowledgeable. He was able to explain each step in the process so I knew exactly what to expect and he help me with any questions or concerns I may have had. The installation of the solar panels took place on a Saturday afternoon and went pretty well by the team of installation professionals. I noticed one set of panels, they were a little scuffed on the frames and there was some dust or dirt left on one of the other panels. Some of the flashing on one of the conduits looked to be a little rough and he mounting frame rail edges were a little rough as well not quite as finished mostly cosmetic concerns. Will post another review in six months after scheduled inspection by PG&E in the city of the system receiving the approved operating authorization. Will note energy cost savings and any customer service issues that I may experience during the time period.

I looked into solar with six different company's and did not feel comfortable with the savings and the commitment of leasing solar. I'm a structural engineer and I did thorough research. I was really skeptical I did my research and asked a lot of question to the local energy consultants here I the valley. I really liked the guy Vivint assigned to my neighborhood mr louus Kunz. Mr kunz made it easy I knew I would save about 40% off the bill because they charge for power it's not a lease payment your stuck with paying untill it's paid off and you can remove the lean. He didn't do a long sales pitch he just calmly and quickly explained the program in detail wich helped me to relax and think about the offer. Vivintsolar does not put a lean on and Vivint charges me 40% less all year round and my commitment is just pay them for power so it'll transfer like a power bill if I move. simple it's just better than Edison I'm referring my sister to get it and her bills are already really low it's still makes sense and saves her 30% off of Edison's rate we love it I'm retired and I have more funds in my pocket book. The best part was it was stress free I had been pulling my hair out researching solar when mr kunz knocked in the door and made it easy lied on me I appreciated that.

Vivint up front about the process, the costs, the billing, and the installation, but particularly the time frame. I had my panels installed in May, by an amazing team who were all friendly, knowledgeable, and worked quickly and efficiently to install my solar panels in one day. Their inspector and my town inspector came out and approved the installation a week or so later. I am STILL waiting for my electric company to install the new meter and give me the go ahead to turn on. Which is frustrating, because it's been a really sunny summer. But my rep from Vivint told me it would take a while, so I'm trying to be patient. I highly recommend Vivint Solar for your solar installation.

We have been a customer of Vivint Solar for a year now. When Jarret first came to our home we had been extremely skeptical of VIVINTs "pitch" that solar would cost use NOTHING. Yea sure, what is the catch? Well Jarret, who is extremely knowledgeable, explained it all, then showed us in writing. No intall cost, no maintenance costs, no fees, no taxes... ONLY .15 cents a KWH. Pay for the energy we make (make more than you use, and PSEG give you a credit). Oh and the government will give you a PPA credit (Power Purchase Agreement) on our taxes. yes..so you pay $.15 a KWH, to Vivint , at the end of the year the total of all your payments is added to your return. So that actually makes it LESS than .15 KWH. I am VERY happy we went solar!!!

The sales person was very knowledgeable and forth coming as well as transparent. He provided detail process information and program information. We did not get very far in advanced notice of installation. The installation was quick and courteous. The team was not in our way. They picked up their garbage fairly well. I was not happy with some of the post install patch work that needed to be done although there will be another team to do that in mire detail, as I understand.

We had additional panels placed on our roof and I explained at that time-that I want bird wire placed around my new panels to prevent another pigeon problem like the one I had previously dealt with. The salesman stated that they would install the wire when they placed the new panels on my roof. It’s been three months and no wire. Tried calling the salesman and he won’t respond to my calls. I have two neighbors that are thinking about having solar installed now I’m wondering if I should even suggest Vivint to them after what I have been through.

So far so good. The salesman has kept in touch and was easy to get in touch with. The installation went very well. They arrived on time. They were friendly and mindful of our property. The installation was very fast for such a large job. The installers work feverishly to complete the job and to clean up. As far as the performance of the panels we shall have to see. We are not completely connected yet. We are waiting for inspection.

So far I have spoken to several supposedly customer representatives that said no problem I will get back to you. The sales representative that I dealt (Chris W) with was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Unfortunately we did decided not to go with solar for the time being. Reason was not because of Vivint or Chris, but a household decision between my wife and I. Chris was awesome and I have requested that he contact me in the springtime of 2018 as perhaps we will be ready then. I will only deal with Chris W.

No sure what you are talking about, Vivint does not charge for the installation or the equipment, all you pay is the PPA for the amount of energy you produce. We did have some problems with the length of time for installation but since then they are saving me $200 to $300 per month as I had prior PG & E bills from 350 to 650 per month as we use a large amount of electricity. Several of my neighbors also got Vivint and they are also getting great savings. Now my PG&E bill is about $20 (also paying for 75 % of my gas). I highly reccomend Vivint!! Monte Beers

We went the PPA option. Everything we were told, was true. I see some people complaining about the Net metering. This has nothing to do with Vivian. The point is to save money on your power bill, not make money by selling excess power back to the power company. They are not in the business of buying power. We have saved money every month. we are very happy with the service and would recommend it to anyone.

I want to share about our experience in working with Dusty on pulling together a plan for solar for our home. He was very personable and knowledgeable about the product and the process. Sales people were helpful and not pushy. They did a great job informing me where the project was and what to expect. Install people were double booked and showed half a day late on my vacation day. They installed fast and efficient on the same day though. Only complaint was that they left silicone sealant finger prints on my vinyl gate that cannot be removed. Panels output more than I expected. The panels don't make any noise from the wind. I like the app to check the daily output.

We recently had our new solar panels installed and are now just waiting for National Grid to do its thing before we flip the switch. The process so far has been great. The entire process was mostly smooth, except when talking to corporate to determine warranty responsibility. We recently replaced our roof and have a strong warranty with our roof company, but wanted to be sure the panel installation would not void that warranty or cause complications. In the end with a little suggestive motivation they worked with the roofing company to define their lines of responsibility. Michael who first met with us and the installation were very professional and worked efficiently.

My experience was not bad, I'm a very patience person! It took a while? Ok! Free panels? Ok. Friendly, neet crew! Ok, got the job done in one day! Great! Ok. But!!!! I was told I would save half on my bill!!! Nooooo! One thing they lied about! YOU DONT SAVE HALF!!!! You save 20 to 30% only on the bill!!! So that's 25 to 40 bucks a month? Still you save something. Not bad for free stuff!!!

After reviewing three different solar companies Vivint by far was the better of the three. First thanks to Tony for all the information on the savings that solar provide plus it's Eco friendly. And as far as the work crew...a 1, started at 8am finished before 1pm. From the very begining it was all positive with Vivint I would recommend them to family and friends.

The installation was problem free and was completed in a morning. This was the second attempt to install, as the first was postponed by snow. In fact, the entire team waited hours hoping the snow would abate, but to no avail. The turnaround time from install to activation was supposed to be up to 12 weeks but it happened in less than a month. Very impressive. My only suggestion is to get an app to allow me to track the production and trending on my phone or tablet. The webpage offers very little information other than current day, current week and current month production.

From Beginning to end, Signing the contract, to Installation, test, and final inspection, Vivint Solar has been outstanding! The permitting process was painless. Because I didn't have to do it! I have only been up and running for a couple of weeks now so I cannot accurately speak to amount of savings on electric bills. But as far as the process from the initial approach by my agent, Eric C, who has been fantastic to work with, the company is the real deal. Organized, communicating regularly, knowledgeable and pleasant. I had been approached by one other Solar Sales person prior to Eric coming to see me. I was not interested. Eric was low key, pleasant, engaging-no pressure. We sat out on my front step for about an hour chatting about what I could expect, how it all worked, realistic savings and when, etc. Even if you are considering going with another company, do yourself a favor and give Vivint a call before you make any decisions. Ask for Eric!

Although I was pleased with the variety of options offered by Vivint, it took more than six months before I was able to finally throw the switch and start the system up. Once in operation, it performed beautifully and I'm happy with the savings on my electric bill. Part of the problem lies with the state and local authorities, so be patient.

We enjoyed the whole process with Vivint. Our sales rep Jarret was fantastic, and still keeps in touch with us a year later. We are greatful for reducing our footprint, and for all the support we received from our rep. He was/is still available for any questions we may have. I highly recommend!

The crew that installed the solar were great, they keep me informed during the entire installation on what was taking place. The sales Manager Adam Woolums also provided step by step process of the installation, how long in would take from start to the activation. I would recommend Vivint solar to Friends and Family.

Our sales person was excellent and thoroughly well prepared. We understood the agreement and process, and felt very comfortable throughout. The installers were quick neat and clean, and the physical installation is very professional.
