The Bad

  • Experience
  • Limited Service Area

Experience

Solar Me was founded in 2014, making it one of the younger solar companies in the industry. Compared to other solar companies that have been around for a decade or longer, Solar Me doesn’t have as much experience.

Limited Service Area

Solar Me appears to serve only customers based in New Jersey.

The Bottom Line

Solar Me started out with two employees and grew to more than 20 employees in three years. In 2016, Solar Me installed solar systems on 80 properties. That number grew to 120 solar power systems in one year by 2018.

One of Solar Me’s weaknesses is that it’s a relatively young company, compared to solar companies that have been around for 10 years or more. Still, Solar Me guarantees that its solar power systems will perform as expected, and if the systems don’t, Solar Me will pay the customer the difference. This should offer potential customers increased confidence when it comes to working with Solar Me.

Solar Me also employs two NABCEP-certified solar technicians, which speaks to the company’s commitment to continuing training and maintaining high standards.

While those who live outside New Jersey will need to work with another solar company, those who live in New Jersey will find that Solar Me is worth exploring.
