Mrs. April C is a true blessing! I loss power due to the snow storm, and the backup solar and battery systems didn't work. I spoke with several PWS agents who could not help me. And then I spoke with April C, she answered my questions and immediately scheduled a service appointment to address the issue. She also arranged to reimburse me for the loss of groceries due to the failure of the load management system.

So far an excellent experience. Honest and smart sales personnel. Excellent installation team. Caring support personnel. System gets inspected by the county next week then turned on by us and Southside Electric. Will let you know how the last steps go. So far the rating is excellent. Can't wait to do our share to help Mother Earth and to see the electric bills go down.

Great company and product, but the communication is extremely lacking. We signed up to get the unit in July 2021 and was told it would be installed before the end of the year. It wasn’t installed until the middle of January 2022. We went several weeks with no word and when we did get word it was through a text; so impersonal. The text read the same every time “we are finalizing your system and we will call to make arrangements for install in 2-3 weeks”. This happened 4 months straight. Those and his installation crew were awesome!! He explained how the system works and answered questions that he could. I hope going forward the company doesn’t just leave us in the dark, as far as the rebate and paperwork needed for taxes.

Overall, very satisfied with whole system. Everyone was a professional, and took their job very seriously. The project planning, and execution was not without glitches, but every issue got addressed quickly, and to my satisfaction. I am an engineer and have managed many projects myself, and I give these guys high marks for the coordination of the whole project, from beginning to end. Inspections went very well - it is clear the installation crew did a high-quality job. I agree with other reviews that these guys are not the lowest priced option, but I have always believed that you get what you pay for. I watched these guys like a hawk during installation, and they did very good work. I did catch one rather significant error, and they corrected it immediately. Bottom Line: we installed a 7.4 kW system and the system has been producing anywhere from 10 kWH to almost 40 kWH each day for the first month of full operation, with a peak generating capacity of 6.7 kW. I will be anxious to see the impact on the first full billing cycle, which will be next month’s bill. So far - very satisfied.

We had 16 Solar Panels installed, in April 2019. So far, everything has worked well. Our electric bill has been about 1/4 what it used to be. We are perplexed, though, with the news of Power Home Solar (aka Pink Energy) has closed its doors. Questions about the 25/30 year Warranty and maintenance seem to be pertinent, at this time. Financing has worked smoothly, with only minor issues with Government Tax Credits. In fact, we hope to have our entire system paid off, in about a year and a half; well short of the projected 20 years.

Installed and operational. Actually works very well but properly installed as backup for all my critical services, seems to have lowered my power bill, and backup works well. Customer service is very hard to get to and they have bee out 3 times and still have not resolved my issues! The tax benefits are significant and help justify the high price! I need a direct number for customer service so I can discuss my situation with a technical person that can clearly define my issues and we can get it fixed properly. If those issues are resolved my only complaint would be the hard to navigate customer service process! The syste, panels and battery back up all work well, but getting service is a real issue!!

I had to wait 2 weeks for repair service. But once rhe technicians arrived they diagnosed the problem and made the appropriate repair. The technicians went beyond that and replaced all the simular components with updated ones to obvert any future equipment failures.

Installation was quick and the workers cleaned up afterwards. Had a problem with an error code on the number 2 battery. Called in and requested a call back. Got a return call within 15 minutes. Due to recent snow and ice we were unable to get to the box and so Tech support had Generac fix the issue remotely. I highly recommend this company.

When we have issues they do come back as many times as they have to til they get the issue solved. We don't like how the snow lays on the panels and we can't get up on roof where they are to get them cleaned off...wish they had some kind of heating unit to melt the snow...

They seem to be a very good company. The only issue I have had is that instead of them following up when they have had an issue that could not initially be resolved, I have had to call to get the follow up. Many times when they do "attempt" to call, my phone does not ring and suddenly I see a voice-mail pop up. Overall, I have been very satisfied with their service, quality of work, and their overall responsiveness when needing help with any issue surrounding the solar power installed at my home

After much deliberation, we decided to install solar with PHS. The crew was very efficient and professional in the installation. My only complaint was that the electrician was in a hurry to leave and proceeded to go through the instructions of the monitoring/control panel so fast that I could not keep up. I told him so. So he tool my cell phone and took a video of what he was trying to explain....still confusing. I watched the video several times, but again, so fast I had a hard time following or knowing what it all really meant. Mind you we are in our late 60's to early 70's...so not as quick as a 30 something. Our light bills have not been $20 like we were led to believe. When I called them I was told it might take 3 months to adjust. 3 months?! In the meantime we are paying light bills plus the monthly fee for the solar panels. Then we got a call from the loan company that PHS uses. They now want us to refinance our mortgage and roll in the full cost of the system! That was not talked about before. We just refinanced a year ago....not sure I want to go through all that again. Will need to hear what they have to say. It will save us money they said....yeah, like the solar panels do?! Not seeing it yet. Guess this is more for younger people. We'll see.

Cost was a bit high but the installers were excellent. Got approval to turn on the unit in a week. Only difficulty was that the array was located under a big tree that had to be cut down. I bought a 4.3 kW array and have been getting 20-25 kWH on sunny days. I want to expand the system as I have an electric car. All in all a pleasant experience with few glitches.

I am not experiencing as great of a savings as I thought I would. I am breaking even after paying the bills. I am also disappointed with the snap fuses blowing out and I have to catch it myself. The monitoring of the system is not what I thought it would be. It takes a couple of weeks to get a repair and at least a couple of hours on the phone to get someone. The service people coming out, however, are great and work diligently to fix any problem I have.

The snaps keep failing. We do not have satisfaction that the system will work and produce power when needed. In 10 months of operation we have needed repair of parts four times. That is unacceptable! Although Power Home has been good about changing the damaged parts, the reliability is in question. I am on oxygen and need a concentrator to provide supplemental O2. Reliability is essential!!

Buyer BEWARE; We spent 2 hours with a regional manager, young guy (22). We were very impressed with his salesmanship. He had all these graphs on his iPad and our usage which was 9kw per day average. We asked tons of questions. He told us he’d go to his car and send us a complete quote from his car before he left the driveway. That didn’t happen l…he didn’t even send me any kind of quote.. and then when I asked him to please send a full quote explaining the type of panels how many there are the warranty and what the entire contract terms, he then asked where do you want me to send it. I told him and then he went on to say well our contracts are proprietary….I’m like….ok,?????so….what are you hiding?! Do you expect me to spend $65,000 on your word??? Just send me the contract. Well guess what? It never came. He knew he quoted us way too high and this company clearly does not want any competition or want you comparing their price and what it includes to someone else’s otherwise theyd have no problem giving you a full quote so you know what you’re getting.

This company gets a 3 rating because a fantastic field representative did a great job of explaining my homes requirements. The initial salesman was rude in his tone of voice and got upset when I questioned the negative reviews. After the pricing quote the rep had to hand us off to a closer, his manager. He shot us down for not closing on the spot. We were getting 2 more bids. He had a hissy and therefor we will not buy from this company. Had we taped this conversation, we feel he should have been fired!

We had our panels installed in December of 2020. It took months to have the company come out and take a look at our system despite multiple reports that something was wrong. We were repeatedly assured our system was working approximately. Our system has never produced the amount of energy proposed by then Power Home Solar now Pink Energy. We have been treated so poorly throughout this process. Once it became widely known in 2021 that there were issues, only then did they send someone out and it took months. We have been paying our energy bills plus the solar panels. We were provided a partial reimbursement for the time the panels were not producing in 2021, then told we would have to wait until 2022 before we could be reimbursed for the other months. At this point, they hadn’t fixed the panels so I thought this was fair and was assured I would be reimbursed. We began calling in 2022 and were told we would have to wait until 2023. I escalated the issue and instead of being helped, I was accused of attempting to extort money from Pink Energy. They provided me a copy of the report they ran before but now refuse to provide any report. The representative screamed at me that I was reimbursed in July of 2022 then after a ton of arguing on my part, he admitted he was looking at the wrong account. It would be one thing if this company were to make the issues we experienced right but instead they have avoided their responsibility. I cannot recommend doing business with this company. It’s a waste of money and they will not help you when you suffer from their mistakes.

Bill E I too am not satisfied with this company. I had my system installed in June of 2021 and it still doesn't work right. Customer Service is not much help they make appointments three weeks out then call and cancel the day before and make a new appointment three more weeks out. He comes out said it was fixed two days later it was not working again called CS made appointment three weeks out. I am handicapped also and on a fixed income and was trying to cut down my electric bill this system has cost me more than my electric bill. I hope this isn't a rip off and someone from this company actually comes out and makes it work. At this point I would not recommend them. I have been told that Generac solar panels are terrible and that's what I have. Pink Energy doesn't even use them anymore. Please send someone out and replace or repair these panels.

Do not trust this company. They have no problem ripping off elderly disabled people. Salesman lied to get us to sign a contract. Said system would eliminate electric bill and would only have to pay a solar panel bill. Did not provide enough panels for our electric needs. Now stuck in a contract and paying for both which costs us way more per month. Salesman assured us we would not have an electric bill other than a customer charge and could use the money we were paying on electricity to pay for the solar panels. Pink Energy does not care about the lies the salesmen tell you as long as they get you to sign a contract. My husband is disabled and receives a fixed income, which is why we wanted a fixed payment knowing that energy prices were going up. The salesman assured us that the system designed for us would produce all of our electricity needs. Technicians don’t know what they are doing. Customer service is horrible. We have had the system for a year now and it has never produced enough electricity in any month, even during times when heat or air conditioner was not used. Customer service rep advised today that we needed to give it four more months to see what happens. They are just pushing us off because they don’t want to do the right thing and fix their unethical sales practices.

I told the salesman I wanted a $0.00 power bill. Power Bills are 1/3 of what they were. After paying loan and power bill my power costs have gone up. Signed paperwork Feb 2021 system wasn't installed until mid late July 2021. Wasn't turned on to the grid by the power company until March 2022. Zero follow-up until after system was turn onto the grid. Nice rep stopped in to show me the system and said if I needed anything to call him. Needed him I have a fault on my system. I called him yesterday to find out his position had been eliminate. He was nice enough to call me back and give me info as to who to contact to correct my fault on my system even though he wasn't getting paid to do so. Well been on hold for 4 hours today trying to get a service tech out to work on my system. I'm hanging up today and going to try again tomorrow.

Worst experience i've ever had, and it continues". From the salesman that initially lied and cost me more for the solar system in which i was instructed to pay more , and obtain a sizeable Tax refund in which didn't happen, to the lead installer who came out with a crew and used foul language all the time they were here, to tracking up my carpet with mud, to having 4 times , sending out service people to fix the faulty equipment that was installed improperly and couldn't be used for 2 months and i paid 2 months per the monthly obligation , on time and in advance, to the worst customer service i've ever had to communicate with blaming my local energy company for not communicating with them until i got management on the phone who apologized for the incompetence of his service rep and Powerhome whom she stated was in training . "A total nightmare" since the initial agreement and contract signed on October 1, 2020 . And now i'm waiting for reimbursement for 2 months of being without full service from February 11, 2022 to April 11, 2022 with the replacement of 8 snaps on the solar panel, in which i was told that i would receive the reimbursement in 30 days and it's been 45 days, and now i call the company for a status update , and they have rebranded and changed their name from Powerhome Solar to now "Pink Energy" without any prior notification to customers. I can go on and on with the numerous lack of integrity issues that was promised and never proactively taken care of. I've had to repeatedly call and call and call to get service taken care of and have spoken to so many different people who was clueless and very unprofessional. I myself as an retired IBEW local #134 Union Electrician and General foreman out of Chicago in excellent standing, have view and arbitrated some issues that were very essential and extremely important for the general safety of the client or customer , and made sure and went the extra mile to ensure that all components in every phase from sales to construction and installation was accurate and done in a neat and professional manner to completion for the clients satisfaction. with emphasis on integrity. Sad to say that this company as Powerhome solar has displayed little to none when it comes to integrity. In closing i truly regret using this company and would not recommend their services. The solar panel and backup Generator is operating correctly as of today, Yet still i have no confidence in this companies abilities to honor their work or contract to it's full measure .They are only a few steps from a class action litigation process if the Owners and their corporate advisors ignore the problems as it persist and not take the necessary steps to turn this New named Solar company "Pink Energy" around from the terrible stigma and incompetence from being Powerhome solar.

Today 05/10/2022 once again, Power Home Solar/Pink Energy has not full-filled their contract responsibilities. Three (3) weeks ago they were supposed to contact us to set up "Another" appointment to fix their electrical "mess." Not following instructions from Center Point Energy, of which we were copied on through email. They did "not" coordinate within the company and sent a one (1) man team, "Without" any supplies or tools!! Power Home Solar/Pink Energy does not communicate "within" the corporation, with electrical providers or with their customers. Except to promise and deceive people with lies to get them to sign a contract. Contact dates by phone to resolve issues: 12/28/2021, 01/10/2022, 01/19/2022, 01/10/2011, 02/01/2022, 02/28/2022, 03/01/2022, 03/01/2022, 03/17/2022, 03.17/2022, 03/17/2022, 03/22/2022, 04/04/2022, 04/04/2022, 04/05/202204, 05/2022, 04/04/2022, 04/15/2022, 05/10/2022 This does not include all the text messages trying to get “anyone” out here to fix this mess. Now "Waiting" once more for a call back!! This company is a "Joke!!!" The Attorney General of Texas should Stop/Prevent this company of lies from stealing from honest families that trusted the salesman's lies!!! Predatory thiefs!!!!

We had power home install a system just over 2 years ago. So far it hasn't worked they have sent crews out and always the same thing. They come up with some excuse why it wasn't working. We have not got a total of $10.00 off our electric bill in all the time it has been on. We had to go on a payment plan with the electric company becaue we don't get anything out of the solar system and are on a fixed income. We now have an electric bill of almost $1900.00. I called them again today and was told it is working fine and to wait a few days to see if there was any change. We got .57 cents off our bill this month from the solar system. The installation was great, they were a month early. In November we found we were not generating and contacted the company. They told us a part was damaged. They ordered it and would call us when it was in to install. We heard nothing for a month so we called they said the part was not in so we started calling every week with the same results. Three weeks ago they called us to set up for installation 2/11. They texted on 2/10 saying they would be here on 2/11. Then called on 2/11 saying the part is not in. Now they want to setup for installation for some time in April. I am paying for a system and an electric bill. I will tell anyone the concept of solar is great but do not go with this company. If you can’t get the part then put me in a new system that you can get. You are doing installations everyday.

The installation went well. Service from the time of the install in September until January 2022 was bad. The system never worked properly. Communication was bad and they dropped the ball on getting Dominion Power out on getting the inspection to turn the grid on. It is January of 2022 and have not yet got a reduced electric bill.

It took over a year for the generac unit to pass inspection. The unit has never worked a 100%. 8 of the 23 panels do not work. I have been rescheduled 6 times since April. The generac unit is junk. The batteries can only handle 30 amps, which won't cover a whole room. The only appliance it can handle is the refrigerator. None of the other appliances can be hooked up. However, they claim it can handle a whole house minus an hvac system. There is no significant savings at all as they promised me. STAY AWAY! This is the WORST company. They are over priced and when they make a mistake they won’t fix it. They will make you pay for someone else to fix it. They don’t care what they destroy in your yard. They will not reimburse you like they say they will when they destroy stuff. You can’t cancel. And the product itself is subpar. Could be because they put it on the wrong side of my house where I have a 80 ft forest but the engineer knew my house better than me (sarcasm). Not worth the INSANE cost. Does not lower the bill. If you actually want a solar system that will do what is promised, THIS IS NOT THE COMPANY. I’m stuck with the crap company that I feel is just taking my money at this point and providing nothing back. Also, they don’t retain employees so don’t expect to talk to the same person in 5 months. DO NOT GET WRAPPED UO WITH THEM! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Had these folks out to provide a bid for a residential solar system. The field rep was very helpful and provided good information. My first “red flag” was their business plan. The rep outlined their geographical footprint (in the northeast and eastern states with a strategy of moving west. The rep then explained they decided to expand into Texas after the unusual winter we had experienced this year. No quality company changes their strategic business plan because of a meteorological anomaly. That is a knee jerk opportunistic reaction to pray on victims of a weather event. My caution was solidified when introduced to the “closer/sales manager”and we were instantly turned off. Very pushy and had a rebuttal for everything we felt were negatives. I felt like I was dealing with a sleazy used car salesman. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!! Over priced and the loan terms are a trap. STAY AWAY!

The salesman was very nice but when he got to the end it was either sign up now or we aren’t coming back here. Who makes a $60,000 decision without thinking about it for a day or a week? I asked this and was told repeatedly that they don’t look back, only forward. They can’t waste more time coming back out. You don’t need to come back out to do anything. You already made the pitch. Oh, well we get rid of your information if you say no. Then he gets the closer, Charlie, on the phone. Charlie talks to us like we are 5 years old and need a soft, patronizing tone. I explain that we don’t make decisions of this magnitude on a whim. He wants a “soft approval” blah blah blah. I tell him, I’m done. Goodbye Charlie. I wouldn’t do business with this company simply because they want to pressure you into signing up right now. No extra thought required. Oh, and the salesman kept saying the owner must know what he’s doing because he’s a billionaire. Yeah, because he pressures people into buying things. It felt like a time share spiel. Save your time. Go with someone else.

Still waiting on my systems new meter so I can get credits. Company has been here 4 times to place labels and take pictures of the same labels. customer service called 5 times for the same labels asking to schedule a time. Still don’t have the city sign off……5 months later. Sales guys is typical sales person. Sold it and never answered again. Calculator for savings is way off. Asked for a credit due to delay and they respond with cookie cutter apology and never address your concerns. DO NOT give this company a a dime of your money. Not worth the hassle and the savings are not even at 50% of what they stated during the sales pitch .

I made the terrible mistake to sign their awful contract to get over $70785 worth of equipment, (according to them), installed on my barn roof. My tax accountant was the first to question the extreme price tag of the system when he told me he had never seen such an expensive system with any of his other clients. When he heard that I was to use the "possible tax rebate of $18404.10" that I was to maybe get next year and pay down the loan or else be stuck with an even higher monthly payment he said I was being ripped off and should back out of the contract, since nothing had been installed yet. I went ahead and called another solar company to get a quote matching the equipment that Powerhome Solar was putting on my roof and shockingly learned that the other company would install the exact same system for $37934!!! My wife just underwent surgery to have a brain tumor removed, needless to say we have better places to put our money than grossly overpriced solar panels. No physical work had been done yet at all by PHS, just some plans had been drawn and a permit had been pulled. I went ahead and cancelled the loan for the financing of the project, effectively stopping the transaction, leaning on section 12 of the contract. "If Buyer cancels this Agreement following the three (3) day right to cancel period, then, except as otherwise prohibited by applicable law, Buyer will be liable for all costs incurred by Contractor up to and including the date of cancellation, including any building permit fees." PHS accepted my cancellation after 10 days sending me an invoice over $4200. I requested an itemized list of the costs incurred by them and was told to just pay the lump sum, I won't be provided with an itemized list, since they could contractually be charging me 10% of the project costs after the 3 day right to cancel if they chose to and I should be grateful they didn't do so. This company is PREDATORY, RUTHLESS and GROSSLY OVERPRICED. Get your solar panels somewhere else or you will regret it.

STAY AWAY!!! I had a system installed in November 2020 yesterday 6/4/2021 we failed another inspection. They have had to move panels twice on my roof already. Now with this failed inspection there are 4 more panels to be moved. However there is nowhere else to move them. Not to mention the completely crap job they did at patching the damage to my roof from the other panels that had to be moved. They keep sending technicians that have no idea what they are coming to make adjustments to, and who don't have materials with them needed either. The last person they sent to go over the job with my inspector was an electrician. Our current issue however is not passing building code. While the electrician was at my home waiting for the inspector however, he did find several more issues with how the electrical was ran during the installation. So great, I have more failed inspections to come. ARE YOU SERIOUS... GER YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ARS!!! This is not even scratching the surface at my dis satisfaction with this company. I have had solar installed on homes before in other states and had wonderful experiences. Power Home is just interested in the sale there quality of work and customer satisfaction is in the crapper. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

I don't even know where to start. From the beginning we have had nothing but issues. Promised the whole first year would be paid for and we still never saw that happen now our balloon payment is due and we're screwed because they filed bankruptcy. We're now in a bankruptcy battle with I'm sure millions of others. Glad they closed up shop so they can't screw over anyone else. Sad they took advantage of so many that were only trying to save money and help the planet. Shame on your guys!!!

It took them 4 days to make the install. I have cables hanging in my garage, my home is sided with Hardyboard siding, and they broke it, and drilled holes in it they didnt use. But the worst thing is, my roof is leaking, in multiple places, and it did not leak prior to them installing the panels on my roof. I have called them about it, and they did send a repair man for the siding, and he done a good job. But the crew to fix my leaks , smeared a little silicone around and left, and my roof is still leaking.

Over promise and under provide. I bought and 80% offset of 16 panels. Added 5 panels for compensation for property damage. Only got 60% offset for 12 months. Now they added 4 more panels. All they do is the minimum to try to keep from a lawsuit. Batteries were suppose to last all night. They last about 3hrs at best

The operator that takes the calls are great. But the service on the system is terrible. I have been messing with them over 6 months and still don’t have a properly working system. I’m paying a solar payment and light bill for the last 6 months because my system will not work correctly. When you call for service it’s so backed up it takes weeks before they even get out to your house.

I would give it negative stars if I could. Was installed in November 2020 and have been waiting 6 months now to get final approval and actually turn the system on. I've been paying on the system since February though. The sales lady was nice and that's about the only good thing I can say. The crew came out and showed no care for my property. Cut through telephone lines and drainage system without attempting to inform me of the damage. Cracked my driveway and destroyed my lawn driving the bobcat all over. Worst experience with a contractor ever

Power Home Solar, LLC sold us on this solar program being offered by Ameren and they are required to offer a percentage of its customers solar. At 66 years old I now stuck with a 20 year loan that will end up costing me $72,000. They have a class action lawsuit, a business insider investigation, and almost 300 complaints on the BBB website!!! I encourage you to research this company. I hope they all sleep at night knowing what they are doing to us! Oh and by the way employees have backed up Business Insider investigation
