I had a horrible experience with this company - Momentum Solar. They promised me that I would not pay for power for a year, but I got bill the next month after installing and activating my solar. Several calls to fulfill their promise failed to yield any favorable response. The salesman that convinced me to use Momentum Solar left the company, his manager refused to fulfill his promises. I started paying bills the next month intead of after one year as they promised me.

After meeting with the salesman I was really looking forward to Momentum doing my solar installation. I used another company to put on a new metal roof. I contacted the salesman to say the roof was complete, and schedule the solar job. He said they couldn’t do the job on my metal roof, and was surprised nobody had called me. He called back later and asked that I send pictures of the roof. I requested instead that someone from Momentum come, and look at the roof to ensure whether or not they could do the installation. I have not heard back from them at all. Very disappointed.

Installation of the panels was relatively easy. I was able to call in and usually get the answers I needed. However, I’ve had these panels for about 3 years now and 9 of them have been offline for about two weeks. I have called 5 times, emailed twice and even posted on their FB page. I’m told over the phone that someone will be in touch with me to get issue resolved. I never hear anything back. This is beyond frustrating and causing me to lose faith in Momentum Solar’s customer service. I would not recommend them.

I only give two stars because I love my solar system but the sales person will lie straight to your face to get the sale. There are several companies out there, do some research. I’m promise you that you don’t want this company.

Pretty satisfied until our roof needed to be replaced. When initially purchased, we were offered a one-time free remove and replace in case our roof, already in some years, needed replacement. Momentum is now questioning the offer. Hope this will be resolved so I can gladly rate it as I thought it deserved.

We are very dissatisfied with the service from Momentum Solar, less then one year after the installation solar panels we hew only problem After 4 months of installing the 1 panel stopped working, We waited 3 weeks until they arrived and repaired. Since September we heve a problem with the 3 panels, they produce 1/3 of their force, we called the office more then 8 times but the problem has not been solved until today. For the year with panels we paid 50% more then we paid without the panels.

Momentum Solar hires robocall crews from India. I get a dozen calls every month from "Hello, this is Jason" on a spoofed phone number with my area code asking me about installing solar. I despise robocalls and any company which uses that sleaze ball tactic will never get my business. I played along with the robocall jerk just to find out what the scam was and that's how I got a call from Momentum Solar. And yes, just like the robocaller, they used a spoofed phone number!

Company will sell you solar when it doesn't make sense. Their Austin manager got on the phone while rep was in my house and he sounds like he went to sales preschool. I'm not even sure how this company earns business considering their sales methods. Avoid these people if you're in the Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston areas. It is a scam to say the least and there are far better solar companies to do business with

I was recently just looking at solar companies and now Momentum will not stop calling my number. 5 times or more a day they call and do not leave a message. I have tried multiple times to block, but they continue to use different numbers. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling but it continues on and on. They are now at the point I want to do something legally to get them to stop the calls. That is all I ask STOP CALLING MY NUMBER OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN ON A DAILY BASIS. I AM NOT CHOOSING YOUR COMPANY. STOP

This company is the worse. I have not been reciving all the credits my solor system states it is generating. Their sites states i am generating 1300 to 1400 khw per month and the send 1/2 the amout to the power company. I sent three request and documention to the billing department and still waiting on a response back. Total rip off company, and i receiving high elect bills , i will have to submit my information to my attorney . john christner-drake

We were scammed. As seniors on social security we were sweet talked by a charming young salesman who told us it would cost us nothing & it would save us a lot as well as helping the environment. It may be helping the environment but it certainly is not saving us money. This is a mean scam on seniors who can't afford it and should be investigated by government authorities.

Horrible company. I had an appt. set up one week ago for a Sat. So we free up time and we are waiting and waiting for a salesman to come. No one shows up so I called company to be told they cancelled our appt. because we don't have enough roof space. Unreal. Unprofessional. First off, I have a big house and plenty of roof space. And second, if this is true, which not, we should have been told on initial call.

Made a presentation and we signed up. We canceled the next day because their price was more than a third more than 4 other companies. We subsequently went with a company that is reducing our electric use by 30% by insulating our attic, replacing our hot water heater and installing a variable speed pool pump. Momemtun was going to install 68 panels. The company we chose is installing 38. So for $20000 less and a better loan rate, we are getting a more energy efficient home.

What a complete waste of time. I did the presentation, had the roof inspected, chose one of 3 plans, lined up tree removal contractors,ready to go and then, nothing they just vanished. They even sent me architectural drawings, i approved, then never heard from them again. Tried calling, got someone take all my information, then put on hold, then new person wants all my information again. I couldn't imagine the trouble you would go through once they got your cash if you needed anything from them, its not going to happen.

Lies, Lies and more Lies! They hounded me to death to get a sale and then lied about everything. They were going to wire the system through my attic, they did NOT. All black panels with trim, they are NOT. Panels were to be attached directly to my clay tiles, they are NOT instead removing these extremly valuable tiles from my roof causing god knows what kind of damage. Nothing these people said is true even down to the name brand of solar panel to be used!

This is the worst solar company to go through. They contracted a company to do our siding and roof from NY, which we live in PA, trashed our house, made it a hazard for neighbors and so on and we had to fire the first contractors they used. They had to compensate us at least $4k in damages and we are still noticing more damages as time goes by. Total lack of communication on top of that as well. I would never recommend anyone to go through what we did with Momentum Solar. Nothing good came out of it except a monster headache!!!!!

READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY!!! - The sales person said there is a 25 year warranty, but the contract states that the PV system (solar panels) are sold "AS IS" and if the system proves defective following purchase "YOU ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING OR REPAIR..." We exercised our right to cancel the agreement within three business days.

Momentum Solar has horrible communication and customer service. Our project started in July, 2018 and Solar is still not up and running . I have to keep calling back to get any work done. We are in California and our Sales Rep left the company after the product was sold to us. Their work was awful because the installation team left a big mess, the panels have not passed final inspection and we are losing money every day. This project and company is terrible.

I have a quote from reputable national solar company. I have reviewed the panel design and have plenty of space on the roof. I decided to get a quote from Momentum Solar as they have some good review. They called me and said my roof is too small and I do not qualify. I am skeptical about their qualifying process.
