Previous contacts with other providers were not returned or returned with pressure sales pitches. Mathias was informed and straightforward about what was necessary and how it would be accomplished.

We went with ION Solar because of Tanner. We had already said no but when Tanner came by it was a different story. He took the time to really give us a clear picture of what we would be benefitting from going to solar. We've saved a lot of money having made the choice to go ahead with the install.

The process this far in the installation of my solar system is pretty good so far. It’s not completely finished as of yet. I’m about a month in with the process. The communication has been great as well as the technicians who installed the system.

We contracted ION Solar in July of 2024 and installation was complete with turn on from our electric company in early November 2024. We are very satisified with the operation and energy savings of our panels. Although not perfect, ION solar is the only company that we would recommend to our friends looking to move to solar. The longer story: Our home: We have a less than optimal roof for solar. Our roof faces east to west with steep pitch that shades the roof. Additionally, the west side of the house is butted by large trees. Therefore, we needed a fair amount of panels or produce the electricity needed to fully supply our needs. Electrical billing in 2025 was changing such that it was a big financial benefit for us to have the installation completed by mid December of 2024. ION solar was only one of two companies that were willing to bid our on project. We went with ION for two reasons 1) we preferred the technology and warranty with their panels 2) we trusted the salesman who only wanted to sell us what we needed and not extra capacity (which we could add on later if we needed). We trusted ION's engineering to size us correctly. We are 6 months into operations and things are running very well. The first four months are the lowest quarter of the year, so we are underproducing what we need, but March/April looks like we are well on track to be self-sufficient. The installation itself was not problem free (therefore only 4 stars instead of 5) and it was often difficult to get a timely replay to quesitons, but everything was resolved in the end. Every other friend of ours that have installed solar has various installation. issues of one sort or another, so I think this is fairly typical.

Service and installation were great. My only complaint is that the prices are higher than other solar companies. We went with ION to add more panels because they had installed our initial system.

We had our solar panels installed a few years ago and the process was so easy. The techs were professional and efficient. Our system was installed in a day after the electric company installed a new meter. The whole process took less than two weeks from start to finish.

Priced competitively, solar performing at or above predicted. Installation went smoothly. Two stars off for post-sale customer service. There was an error in our sales contract. After multiple calls and emails (nearly all were ignored) over the last 3 months, I *think* it's being addressed/corrected. If it actually gets corrected, I will change to a 4 star review. 4/30: Changing from 3 stars to 4 stars, as the problem has been corrected.

I appreciated the detailed explanations of the systems and service from everyone at ION and their contractors at every step. My house is pretty old so there were a few changes and delays that had to be done. The only thing Iwould have better is the trenching that was done in my yard could have been covered better.

Panels were installed along with an electrician on site, went up faster than I expected. There was a difference noted with the power bill for sure. However, we found out that we had a defective microinverter. A tech came out and found that some of the panels were labeled wrong, but she found the culprit and ordered a new one that showed up after a week. I took 3 calls to finally get another tech scheduled, which ended up being the same tech as before. She got the microinverter installed and checked everything before she left. As of right now everything is working perfectly👍🏻

The salesman was not on the ball. Try to get him to do something or to get a hold of him and he would tell me that it was my problem to call to see if they had an install date not very pleased at all with the sales person, I did not get my tax breaks. It is split up over five years now because they didn’t get it taken care of soon enough the year they put it in so now it’s spread over five years not what we were told.

I definitely appreciated the speed of service and the kindness of everyone involved! Knowing that the installation of solar panels could help offset the skyrocketing electrical bills came as a relief. The only downside so far is that the panels have not completely balanced my energy bills as we first thought which has resulted in slightly higher combined monthly bills between Ion and the energy company, though we may have increased our energy usage (I really don’t know either way).

We are very happy with our solar panels. We had a few minor issues with the app but think we have that figured out. The only problem we had with the installation was that when the breaker was installed next to the breaker for the AC unit, the new breaker disrupted the connection to the AC breaker. We didn’t discover this until the first time we tried to run the AC and it wouldn’t work. We finally called an electrician and they confirmed that the breaker installed for the solar system was pushing up against the AC breaker just enough to disrupt it. It was no one’s fault, but it did cost us $150 for a service charge which was a bummer. Otherwise, we are really happy with the results and would recommend your company.

The process was completely taken care of by ION from start to finish. We are happy with our system so far. Since we were hooked up late in the season we haven't been able to have the high yield days, as is always the case in fall and winter. We are still generating power even on cloudy days. We are happy to be helping our environment.

I have been pleased with our solar panels. They have continued to provide a good amount of energy back into the grid. The one thing I have seen as a challenge is more related to finding a provider that has a viable buyback plan. Be sure to do your due diligence in researching the best options available, and most importantly, be sure to go with company that has a buyback plan.

It's pretty durable and it's nice equipment and stuff. Installation process went pretty smoothly. I didn't really have that many issues. They did have to replace a couple parts after they came and installed it initially, but it wasn't really a big inconvenience. I had some problems getting a hold of my representative for my solar and stuff like that because it wasn't completed like they said it was.

They were very quick to reach out when I had any issues or brought up any concerns. It took about a day for them to install the solar itself and then the battery took another a couple of weeks for completion. It's some of the industry's best equipment. They were good overall just had some issues with my specific installation that they still haven't really addressed.

It was a smooth transition with installing. I did notice one thing when they were initially installed, I guess they did them too high and they had to lower some of the panels so all of them would fit because I had I have 36 panels. So they had to shift a little bit, but I mean other than that, there weren't like unnecessary holes in the roof or anything like that.

It's saving me a bunch of money and I haven't had any issues with it yet. There were several times I would reach out to the customer support representative that was assigned to my project and they did not get back to me and then it turned out that the individual didn't work for Ion Solar anymore, so my account didn't have a representative assigned to it and so I was talking to nobody. I understand that things fall through the cracks or whatever, but I there was a period there where I was asking questions and looking for answers and was not getting them for quite a while.

Everyone with ION has been friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Looking back, I probably would looked in to getting a couple more panels. With the record heat we’ve had this summer, it seems we’re using more electricity than what the solar is producing.

Install was nice and smooth. They did a good job, very quick considering how much they put up. We're trying to get to an answer as to why we're not generating as much electricity as we thought we were going generate, so it's not covering as much of our electric bills we were told it was going to.

Our initial introduction was hampered somewhat by Covid, as we never got to have a face-to-face , or Zoom for that matter, with our salesman, Enrique. Enrique did an initial proposed layout and gave us some numbers for a proposed layout. Things looked quite promising compared to 10 years earlier when we initially looked into solar. However after we got the engineering final layout the output looked terrible. We contacted Enrique several times to see if the numbers were right but he was always slammed and we never go to have a follow up (went on for a month), so we canceled the project. However David contacted us recently and the numbers he sent look much better, so we're looking to see if we can afford it.

Like: Professional upfront sales person Ongoing customer service comments and updates quality/speed of installation Average: sales price was rather expensive Dislikes the performance of the panels during the winter months has been disappointing as i was not expecting to receive electric bills supplementing my electrical needs. I have no different electrical demands when compared to the electrical bills that i forwarded to your technical assessment. I would have thought that seasonal performance, availability of daylight hours and regional weather would have been more effectively factored into the required number of panels so i would not receive ongoing electrical bills.

The presentation and explanation for the benefits of using Solar were presented by David. I had a good understanding of the process and what time frame I was going to work with. The installation was a good deal longer to complete(about a month), Also some of the craftsmanship needed to be corrected upon the first review by the city of Northglenn. I emphasized the need to place pipes under the roof and all areas were done to this specification except one side. Was not happy about this. However, even with delays, David kept me aware of steps and needs. A question down below says installation of 1-2 months and mine took about 4 months. Signed contract in June, Got financial approval within 2 weeks. Was given the plan in early fall. Did not start using until December.

2 stars is a stretch...We started this process in September, the solar panels were installed on Dec. 15th, we asked the installers when they would install the critter guards that is on our contract, they said after the electrical was hooked up. About one month later the electrician came out to wire it and put in an upgraded panel. That is when they discovered we already had 200amp service. We originally wanted to upgrade our electrical panel thinking we could get more breaker space. We knew we had a 200amp service panel but no one noticed that or told us we do not need to upgrade our service panel, even after a site visit from your design and electrical team. We had to remove that option from our contract after we did some research to find out we cannot get a bigger panel than we currently have. The electrician came back out another month or so later to connect the system but discovered the breaker pack he was sent out with would not work. As of February 23 we are still waiting on the electrician to come back to finish the connection to our panel. We also still need the critter guards installed but I don't think anyone knows that...it would be nice to have a single person organizing and running these jobs so we know who to contact. It seem I get a text or an email from someone different whenever there is communications from Ion. Each time seems to take 1 month or so for someone to return...? This has been a long drawn out process. UPDATE: April 15th, we are 7 months in and we are now at the final stage waiting on Xcel to come install our net meter. I wan to clarify that ION Solar did step up and help with all the issues I listed previously. Thank you!!! I have improved the star rating to a 4 after receiving the help for ION to get to this point. I recently spoke with a neighbor who had solar installed and they had the same issues we had with all the electrical / breaker trouble. My suggestion to ION and any solar installation company is to let homeowners know at the point of sale that the installation process takes 6 to 10 months to complete. I believe this would help set up a realistic expectation. Again, Thank You ION Solar for stepping up and getting our issues corrected.

The installation went quickly, once the permits were all approved. The install crew was =-As winter arrived and I have time to look at the installation, it would have been better for solar-collecting efficiency to have installed the panels on an angle on the roof, instead of flat on the roof, to capture more of the sun in the winter. This would also have helped keep the panels cooler, thus more efficient, in the summer. The installation is losing lots of solar production in the winter, in my opinion. On the other hand, through the summer and early-fall, my electric use and solar production put me in a "credit" balance with the utility, so I did not pay the utility company for any electricity until October, I believe. The install went very well, once all the permits were approved. The install crew was efficient and conscientious, and let me know all they were doing. They asked where I wanted the wires routed, as it was not possible to keep them in the attic, due to the construction of my house. Overall, the whole process was simple and easy. ION Solar was very transparent and kept on updating on the status of the progress via email and SMS constantly. Also, through their mobile app I was able to track the status of the progress. The whole paperwork process was convenient and was done electronically. I had an issue when I received the loan payment before my system was turned ON. We try to reach ION Solar and requested them to look into our issue. Honestly, I was disappointed at that time. However, Mr. A. from ION solar, Customer Experience, immediately contacted us the same day regarding our issue and professionally reviewed our concerns and was able to resolve our issues immediately. For this experience and showing compassion to customer and going above and beyond to resolve the issue...I greatly appreciate ION solar. Other than little hic cup at the end the whole process was simple and the work was done professionally.

We recently purchased a Solar system for our house from ION Solar. We signed the contract on 12/12/19 and our we received PTO from NV Energy on 2/11/20. The installation was very clean and professionally done. The wiring is installed through the attic leaving a clean and uncluttered installation on the roof. They even when to the extent of painting the electrical conduit that running down the side of the house to the electrical panel to match the color of the house. We also requested "critter guard" as part of the installation ( to prevent pigeons nesting ) and it was installed after we received inspection from the city. After our system was initially turned on after receiving PTO, we were told one of the panels was not reporting and that a service call had been scheduled. It took several service calls to resolve the issue, but in the end all panels are working and generating power. The benefit of having this issue arise during the install has been that we can testify that all panels report and generate power independently, so only those down affect your output and the remaining panels still operate and generate power. So in our case 11 of our 12 panels were working the entire time. I was skeptical about the power generation capabilities of our system, but so far we have generated approximately three days of excess power in a little under a 3 week period. We have received all the incentives we were promised during the contract negotiations. There are cheaper solar installations out there and I do feel we paid for a premium product, but having said that I also do believe we received a premium product. We are currently not producing anywhere near peak power due to it being February and yet our average daily output is almost reaching our estimate annual average. And that is with one panel down for most of that time. We are very happy overall with our experience and final outcome and would recommend ION Solar to others based on our experience.

The overall experience with Ion solar has been pretty painless. The only negative is that we were promised follow up from the individual that sold us the panels however, we have not heard from him at all. Also, we requested one of our panels to be corrected in the front of our home that looked pretty crooked. We have not had that complete either. Other than those 2 unfortunate events ion solar has been a pleasure to work with.

They were very helpful and attentive to getting everything set-up and signed to get going. Once the panels were on though, it's been a very slow and frustrating process to get a consistent project manager to keep the project going. I've had the panels on my house for going on 2 plus months and we've been held up by tech's not putting the right stickers on boxes. I've changed project managers like 3 times. You really have to call and be a squeaky wheel in the last steps to keep things going it seems.
