There were numerous hiccoughs along the way, from the time we decided to buy a system until the project was finally complete and ready to use. However, they were by no means all the sole fault of Freedom Solar. As a matter of fact, yours truly was the cause of some of them myself because I was so terrible about checking my emails, phone calls and messages on my cellphone. Since that was the only way that we had set up for them to contact us, then it wasn't their fault that I wasn't responding. Another delay was caused by the weather; the day they first showed up to start working on the project it was pouring down rain in buckets and I sure wouldn't want to be up there on a roof in that myself. So that added at least another week or two because they had to find an opening which they could reschedule us for. Then there was CPS Energy itself!! Your project WILL BE at their convenience and availability, PERIOD. The first time when they showed up to do the final inspection, the battery had almost completely discharged in between when the work was completed and the inspection date. The battery takes quite a while to be almost fully charged up, and the CPS inspector could not just hang out with us waiting for it to charge up because he had other projects to inspect. So, it was back to the waiting game in order to be put back on CPS's schedule, and lo and behold it ALMOST happened a second time, although it wasn't quite as fully discharged the second time and the inspector agreed to go ahead and wait a little bit with us considering what all we had gone through so far. He actually was able to complete his inspection when it was at around 93 % if I remember correctly. So, now you are probably wondering how on Earth I could give them a 5-star rating with all of those problems. The answer is simple - their Customer Service and the Superior Quality of their work and the equipment itself is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!

After conducting extensive research with various top-rated solar companies, I am truly pleased to have chosen Freedom Solar as my main solar installation company. Freedom solar is simply the BEST solar company since they offer the best warranty, the panels are the best in the market and their staff (like Juan G) are simply the best equipped to handle all complex questions regarding going solar... I deeply appreciate the professionalism and dedication of my Energy Consultant (JUAN G) who assisted me from the very start. Juan was extremely professional and explain everything there is to know about solar installations intricacies and the great benefits solar offers... Unfortunately, due to an urgent unforeseen family situation, I had to postponed my solar project until I come back to my hometown :( Despite, the obstacles and personal situations I am encountering, I am convinced I will come back to Freedom Solar to resume my solar installations since there is still time to benefit from the federal tax rebates and Freedom Solar world-class costumer service. I chose Freedom Solar because I took about 3 weeks to research different companies. I spoke with different salespeople and at the end it seemed to be the best choice. They said I would have the #1 panels that would cover my entire house. the system would be sufficient he said but when the day came, they lowered the number of panels. because I would have to pay more in insurance if I did not, I was never told This company assured me that my electric bill would be eliminated that my bill would be about 48 dollars and that is what the electric company charges for their services little did I know that my bill tripled because now I do not only pay my electric bill that is about $230-$330 my solar panels cost about $333 and when I contact them, they say they are working correctly I could understand that i still paid $100 plus my panels but not $250 plus my panels.

generally do not leave reviews, but my experience with this company is so awful I feel I need to help others stay away. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company or sunpower. Don’t buy into a warranty as they essentially will find excuses not to cover anything. System production low? Well they were just estimates. Trying to get service after installation is pretty much nonexistent. Now the service may vary from state to state but I can guarantee the team in Texas are not trustworthy. Go with other companies and do not pay the premium that freedomsolar and sunpower ask for. The company is dishonest, and once they have your money they will not abide by contractual agreements and will ignore your requests for service.

I love my panels. They are aesthetically very handsome. They generate more than enough power for my home and have saved me $100 a month in electricity bills. The sales team was great and did not pressure me. The many technicians who were involved with the installation were professional. The issue I have is with the engineer involved with signing off on things. He made a lot of mistakes which caused several delays in installation. Took an additional 3 months from the timeframe given to us which means it took 5 months and most of the Summer sun days before I had solar (not to mention I was paying for the panels and my regular electric bill for 3 months). Once installation began, there were weeks upon weeks of never hearing from anyone regarding the status or the next step. We felt forgotten. Once I made phone calls, the ball would start rolling again. The installation part of this process infuriated me and made me regret going with Freedom Solar; however, now that the process is done, I have to say that I love the panels and am glad I went with this company. I even referred a friend to them and they also purchased panels from Freedom Solar. If they can improve their communication throughout the entire process, from contract to power on, I would 10 star rate them.

Building a new home I did my homework and met with 5 solar companies before choosing Freedom Solar. The handling of my account was done personally by Don, their regional sales manager. The steps to getting the system installed were professionally managed from the first day of my build until the system was generating power. I was happy with my first electric bill which showed a negative balance (I produced more than I used). I’m impressed with the 20 year guarantee and the availability of continuous support if I ever need it. I highly recommend Freedom Solar to install your solar system.

We chose Freedom Solar from 5 other installers because of their pricing, no pressure quote and quality Sunpower panels. We haven't paid a light bill in a year. Our account balance with Reliant has been in credit status from the start. We earned $-305.93 in credit last summer(8/21/20) and $-161.29 in credit this winter (2/24/21). Needless to say were extremely satisfied and recommend Freedom Solar.

freedom came out and installed 4kw worth of panels, explained the cost and if I find that they estimated the wrong number of panels they would add panels at their cost guarantied for 25 years and the people were very friendly. soon as PG&E does check a person from freedom will be with them and will instruct me on care and proper use of the system

My solar panels in my back office studio area are not registering on my My Sun power app. Sometimes some of them register, but they area lower than the panels on my main house. Y’all have sent one or two tech that were supposed to be able to get on the roof 4 or 5 times over the last 3 months, and none of them could get on the roof to trouble shoot the panels.

The savings and the rebate that was promised by the salesman was not true. Have not saved much on my electricity bill. Bill is still running up to 150 bucks a month. I’ve emailed my concerns and I get the same canned email advising the panels are working as they should. What a joke. Talk about buyer’s remorse! I would not recommend solar panels to anyone.

The field people work is excellent. They even clean up after themselves. Overall, the Austin office people could be more satisfactory. It took months, including a letter to the president, to install a 3rd Tesla battery they sold. They rely too much on automation to communicate with customers. Some of it doesn't make sense, and the customer is never sure who or what position of the person or computer the communication is coming from. They seem to need to be more knowledgeable about Projection Management. Not one person was assigned primary accountability, and then the name was provided to the customer. It isn't good because they have solid performing products and good field people. The Austin office does a disservice to the field people.

Headaches ever since I got involved with the company. Installed solar panels wrong acted like it was something we did to make the circuit breaker pop constantly to the point we didn’t turn it back on till they could get around to checking the system put A month later they finally do turn back on the breaker then say that’s what’s wrong. Of course breaker popped again. Called back and they acted like it was our fault. This whole time being charged for service and Duke electric also. Finally came out after sending them a picture of our fuse box and guess what! It was wired wrong 😑. No apologies or return of money we were paying double for four months! Stay away from this company if you want to keep your sanity. 😞 p.s. now it’s winter and it’s not putting out enough so gain we are paying double still!

Freedom Solar Power in Denver is a dumpster fire. If you need to have your panels removed/reinstalled, prepare to pay 40% more than other companies because you are locked into an exclusive contract due to the 25yr warranty. They won't even talk to you about scheduling until you pay up front, my roofing contractor threatened to terminate our contract because freedom was impossible to work with for planning. Three months later our roof has been installed, I've paid the solar re-install bill and they still will not even discuss my a re-install date. I'm filing a complaint will the Colorado Attorney General. This is a cash grab company with no integrity.
