Sunshine Renewable Solutions has partnered with Sungage Financial and Sunlight Financial to create an easy loan application process. A customer can fill out a custom loan application to finance their own solar system.

Term limits can vary from 5 to 20 years with an APR starting at 1.99 percent. As a reminder, this type of loan financing qualifies borrowers for certain solar incentives, including the Federal Solar Tax Credit, that can greatly reduce the cost of the solar energy system.

Product Partners

The company’s products come from reputable companies and popular brands, including LG and Tesla, and provides solar panels, inverters, battery backup systems, and electric vehicle chargers. Sunshine Renewable Solutions is a Tesla certified installer.

Warranties

All solar panels and equipment that the company installs are brand new and come with a manufacturer warranty of 12–25 years. The company also offers an additional two-year workmanship warranty.

Monitoring Capabilities

From the start you really can tell that Sunshine Renewable Solutions is different. They truly care. I was hit by so many "Solar is Free" and "The Government Pays 4 Solar" ads that I had to look more into solar. The first solar installation companies were very pushy and tried to get me to sign right away BUT I did my due diligence. That is when I found Sunshine as one of the highest rated companies online. I was really impressed that they had a 5 star rating with over 100 reviews AND they are local. Was a Win Win.

Sunshine produced a permit set of plans for a system design suitable to the customer, while meeting the City of Houston Building Departments requirements. Working with the City is sometimes challenging. Sunshine was responsive to changes at no extra cost to the customer. They did a great job.

We have had roof solar panels as well as the Tesla battery installed by Sunshine Renewable solutions. The solar panels were installed about 2 years ago and when we began exploring the idea of storage we contacted them again. For both projects, the sales team was extremely courteous and answered all questions. Installation was thorough and each stage was explained to us. For the battery install, the team took time to completely assess the logistics and placement that would be acceptable cosmetically and yet provide the desired efficacy. I recommend them highly for solar panel installation as well as battery/storage options.

I'd received a quote from a door-to-door person and the numbers sounded too good to be true. After doing some internet review sleuthing, I decided to call Sunshine Renewable Solutions for another quote. I'm glad I did, because the calculations from the initial company were based on a usage calculation that was incredibly far off from our actual energy usage. I worked with Jillian, both in email and over the phone. She was refreshingly competent, responsive, and honest. Undecided overall. Trying to be as honest as possible when it comes to my feelings on if solar is worth it or not. Overall, I believe the concept of Solar is great. Total cost and value isn't the best I bought a system that was over 100k. But I did this because I was lead to believe would be overkill system and amazing. I haven't had it a full year but I haven't seen the savings yet and my battery doesn't last but a few hours. My consumption is high and but I am also saying this in some of the hottest months we've seen. Solar loan is about 300 a month and still spending 300-400 a month on electric bill. I never spent that much in the past with electric only. I will be spending time troubleshooting settings and talking with electric company to determine if some issue is presented and will update if I see a different outcome. I would love to see better data/reports from app and support/suggestions on electric plans from Sunshine.

The entire system looks amazing and preforms better than I had expected. From the very first phone conversation I felt very comfortable with them and there was never any pressure to purchase anything, and they answered all of my questions professionally. When sizing my system they only asked what my usage was, not how much my current electric bill was. The others prices just happened to be a little under what I was paying and Sunshine's came in way lower. The installers and the guys that came out for the follow up visits were great to work with. The initial report on how much solar energy would be produced was a lot more optimistic than reality. I signed up to purchase the panels based on this initial report. Then someone arrived to assess property in person. We had a second design in place and the amount of predicted solar energy was less, but I decided to go ahead with the plans. Then the actual installation came and I was told it could not be done the way we had planned bc it was too close to some wires. Those wires were there when the person came to my house to assess the property in person and not a word was said about the wires being a problem. So now we go with a third design last minute.The day of installation so a bit of pressure to make a decision. :( The installers were nice, efficient and cleaned up after. Cody was helpful in explaining my new system to me. The "contact" person assigned to me (not Cody)is not helpful to work with someone my age with no prior experience with solar. Through this whole experience the communication with him has been very poor. I have had a few general questions along the way and I hate that I have to ask him. Hopefully the need to ask another question will not arise. The good news is the solar panels are working great and I am happy that I purchased them. Besides saving money I like the idea of green energy to help save our planet.

Thank you for the review! Solar irradiance is delicate. Power lines, roof pitch, roof orienation, shading, fire code setbacks and roof obstructions are a few factors that come to play. We are hyperdiligent when it comes to these things and that is why we use Aurora design software where we can build out all factors in a 3D site model. We underestimated the wires after the site survey and that is very rare, our apologies for causing the pressure there at that time.

Sunshine installed my solar panels 12/14/22. I signed the contract 7/31/22, so it took 4.5 months from deposit to install. Pros: Installers were nice, quality seems good. Sales guy was nice, great presentation. Cons: Project Manager missed every date they committed to. Made up excuses or just didn't show up. Went over the original timeline. No after installation instructions or help setting up. Ordered generator due 12/31/22 and still not received 2/5/23.
