We belonged to pink energy and they filed bankruptcy. Generac introduced us to Sunova. A crew came out last week and changed the RS Snaps on our system and noticed we only have five of our six batteries hooked up. Thy didn't have the equipment to fix it then. The service was managed on my property and has been setup saying no one needs to be at home to support. The inverter was outside. Technician came and exchange the inverter outside and wanted to setup the wifi connection but no one was at home. No one told us to be at home. So, the tech said he can come back just call or leave message for a different time. I called, sent messages. No answer. Talked with Customer Service and told me they finish the job and they will not come back. The original equipment had the connection and worked really good. Sunnova ex-changed it and did not finish the job. They do not want to come back. Now, I cannot see how much energy the solar system produce or if I have issue with the panels.

Very disappointed with the entire experience; starting with Trinity Solar. It took almost 6 full months to go live with Solar and at points during the project people went silent so I was left in the dark wondering what was going on. We bought our brand new Lennar home in late October 2022 and bought the solar at the same time. Already installed at close of escrow. It took them 6 months just to get permission to connect or so they said. We started the process right away and sent everything in as directed then 2 months later they sent an email to tell us to do everything again because the proceas was delayed. We got it all done and then it would not go online. Techs came twice and got it online but then found it was stuck in night mode so another tech had to go to the roof and check the wires. The were crossed he said! One month went by without anymore information despite numerous calls. Then in April of 2023 I saw the meter running backwards finally. It took almost a bother week to get contact with them to verify that it was on. We bought this out right and did not see any savings for 6 months because the installed the wires to get it stuck in night mode but did not bother to even notice during the months they were holding our application. We asked the last representative to escalate to someone who can reimburse for the lost solar production as they guarantee a minimum production per representative. We still have not heard back. We believe in solar 100% for money and clean ergo reasons but Sunnova is horrible

Overall solar install was great… not sending a licensed electrician was a bad call. They had pics of my electric panel and sent someone who did not know what he was doing. Ended up cutting power to my water heater. On-call did not call me and I had to call a second time. Diagram submitted to township is inaccurate.

I would never use them again. They are sloppy, the people they used to put on my roof has done so much damage to my property, removed my skylights, when I complained they put ones that are half the size and don’t open. The skylights were put in as a safety feature, since we only have one stair case down stairs. The fire dept. recommended A ladder so we could climb onto the roof and be rescued off the roof. They tried moving my gas grill that was attached to blocks, so Badley bent and broke the legs to my grill, the grill was close to pool deck a good 20 feet from house. Good thing they did not move my daughters charcoal grill that was up against the house. Tons of nails all over the grass, my yard man refuses to mowed up my ele. They only sent someone to clear the driveway of nails. From the time my contract was signed it was 4 months before they started. They screwed up my electric in my bathroom wa that had been put in with safety plugs in 2019 , &2020. They denied ex it-no one else was in basement. It had to be them. I call asking for help. They ignore me. I have threatened to call my lawyer. They don’t care. Final insult they turned on the solar panels, they never told me, neither did JCP&L. They are not Amazing they are a nightmare. I could never recommend them to a friend or neighbor.

The panels are fine. The installation was a horrible. Many missed appointments and reschedules. Took over a month to instal. Wanted to pay cash, got baited and switched into a loan which they added 10 grand to the price. Power is fine, panels are fine …. Not pleased with the process or how everything went down. Pretty glad that part is all over. The guy who called to ask how everything was going said they had been having the same problems a lot with the install teams.

Then, out of the blue, I get a request for a review and check to find my panels are working. Good product, terrible communication.

I have had Sunnova panels for 3 years and it has been a nightmare!! When panels were installed I was still paying a regular bill to my electric company when I addressed it with Sunnova in more than one occasion I was told to be patient 🤬 I contacted my electric company and they stated that Sunnova never sent them the paperwork that was required. Then in April/May of 2022 (not sure) Sunnova came and disconnected my system without telling me supposedly for an upgraded. My husband noticed that the locks were cut off the box and the light was not working after calling several times they finally sent a technician out to then learn that they needed access to the basement ok fine I stated they would have to come on a Saturday. It took several different open cases for them to get it right finally in September the system is working and wham Sunnova tells us we owe $400 dollars for the time period that system was down .So not only did I pay high electric bills during this time period but now my system is shut down for non payment not once throughout this whole time have they even tried to compromise. Let’s talk customer service… either I’m being rushed off the phone or they are round. Or how about every time I call I get a different story. Never the same answers. Today topped it off. So a supervisor finally called me after 10 months of this bs. And states that even though my system wasn’t active it still produces usage!? If someone can explain that comment that would be great. Smdh worst decision we’ve ever made. And it’s funny when you mention lawyer they call you back even if it is with bs. So now I have no idea what my next move should be VERY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER

When we signed up for solar panel service with Momentum Solar in 2017, who was acting as an agent and with the authority to represent Sunnova as our impending solar energy provider and financier. In line with this business agreement between Momentum Solar and Sunnova, Momentum provided a solar panel removal warranty. On January 20, 2023, it was brought to my attention that Momentum Solar and Sunnova are no longer business partners and have severed ties. Moreover, because Momentum Solar and Sunnova have severed business ties, the solar panel removal warranty will not be honored. According to Sunnova, we will be responsibility for paying a contractor that you must approve to provide the work or removing and replacing our solar panels which could range as much as 8,000 or more. Sunnova is attempting to pass on this expense to their customers. Additionally, Sunnova has stated that the company who will perform the work must be approved by them. We are asking for the following remedy for Sunnova to honor the Momentum Solar Panel Removal Warranty to have our panels removed and replaced at no cost. This condition was included as a benefit to the customer Sunnova and Momentum are both listed on the contract. There is language in the contract that refers both Sunnova and Momentum as working together. Company BBB rating is C- with numerous complaints filed, not accredited. Will be impossible to sale our home to a potential buyer, Sunnova reputation will not be a good selling point. Stay away from selecting this company!!

I started trying to get my Solar panel system on my roof serviced in Dec 2021. In April 2022, a tech came out and looked at the panels and told me there were 3 broken panels. He did not know when he could get replacements. In June 2022, I called to check on the progress, and was told they had no ticket on my panels, and they would create one. I was assigned a Issue Resolution Specialist, and they some how got someone to come out. Other than that the Issue Resolution Specialist was worthless, she never answered the phone and never responded to emails. In August 2022 a tech showed up no ladder and would not physically touch any of the equipment. He said our panel was bad, but it was reporting. I got frustrated and posted another bad review, and I got a new Issue Resolution Specialist, sh was about the same, call her leave a message and no response. Email her and NO reponse. It took 2 more months to get him back out with a ladder to LOOK at the panels on the roof. New panels were ordered In early November 2022 the CEO tweeted something about their "Great Customer Service". My chastising disagreement with that assessment, got me assigned a Senior Issue Resolution Specialist. He calls every 2 weeks, and in Early January, he told me I had a repair appt on January 17th, between 10:00am and 1:00pm. No Show and No call. They are the worst Company you will ever run across

Sunnova did everything they said they were going to do. I’ve only had the panels on and activated for 2 weeks. I’ll check back in within 6 months. Great today!

I am an existing customer of Sunnova, and I haven ot been happy with this company from the beginning 1) The sales person that visited my home told be that my electricity bill will not be over $ 97.00 per month 2) I am unable to sell my home now since the buyer is obviously much smarter than I am, read the contract and was not interested in transferring the lease. Every time I get someone on the phone they are less than helpful, they all must be from a small south American village, therefore not having any understanding of what I am trying to explain, Almost like speaking to a wooden dummy on a comedians lap. All I wanted was to help save the environment by going solar, and now I have an albatross on my home.

Been having 2 panels low on production since June. Sunnova tells you that there is no date, no estimated date they can come out, you just have to wait. After multiple calls which did no good, they finally sent somebody out mid November to only trade places of existing microinverters to verify it was not the panels. Now that the replacement microinverters arrived at sunnova, I am given date they will come out and do the swap. In fact, I am not confident they won’t end up elsewhere. Today I called to get an appointment date for installation and am told “no estimated time frame,” “as soon as possible,” “we understand your frustration,” etc. So now we are 6 months out and no end in sight. And now they have MY system’s microinverters. Today they told me there is no phone number or extension for any manager or supervisor. They will tend to it “as soon as possible.” I literally cannot speak to any supervisor or manager. Only customer service reps trained to show some empathy and use some comfort cliches. I am way beyond that. Warranty should not mean 6 months (and I fear much longer) to resolve an issue. My system is still less than a year old. I am stuck with a provider that is either unstaffed or cutting corners. If you look on BBB website you will find very similar complaints. Now I get to sit, wait, and hope they come out here and don’t use my microinverters on another project.
