Solar Optimum was not the cheapest option of the roughly 10 I evaluated, but they were the least expensive for decent hardware and a good reputation that I was able to infer from both energy sage reviews, and slews of external reviews (including various online forum discussions). The reputation is well earned.
For reference, in Southern California (SCE territory) we had a 10kw system installed along with 2 powerwalls for whole home backup and critter guards added, but this happened as it turned out in the middle of the last throws of NEM 2.0 before NEM 3.0 took over.
Downsides:
* The entire process took a long time (a bit over 6 months from the start of initiating contact until PTO)
* There were quite a few delays getting parts and it required a few phone calls to try to get updates and gently encourage the process through.
* Really, that's it.
Upsides:
* Everyone was courteous and professional even in the middle of the previously mentioned deluge due to the ending of NEM 2.0.
* Everything was done *extremely* well. Indeed, the city inspector commented that it was one of the cleanest installs he had ever seen. (along with one of the first whole home backup systems he had seen)
* The system is performing a bit above the promised specs and since we received PTO (about 6 weeks ago) there hasn't been a single problem with any of it.
* When I started the process I asked about the possibility of getting SGIP rebates for the powerwalls (self-generation incentive program in California). I knew that few companies do this now, and it's very difficult to get in there. Solar Optimum told me that they could not make any promises, but they would try. Indeed, they have and it looks like we will get it (and they are still working on this AFTER we paid our balance in full!). Obviously, this does not guarantee anything going forward other than they really do try.
* While there were delays on parts (likely some artifacts of the supply chain issues of 2021-2022), they were VERY much on top of the paperwork. They filed the necessary paperwork to reserve NEM 2.0 with our electric company MONTHS in advance and well before the install was completed.
I don't doubt that some have had bad experiences with Solar Optimum. It's bound to happen given a big enough organization and enough customers, but even with the delays, I'm very glad to have gone with them and I'm glad to recommend them.

Our son was so enthusiastic about his Solar Optimum purchase, we got enthusiastic also had to install solar in our home.
The installation and service has been five star. Anytime we needed anything the service has been great. Amin A: Customer Service Manager helped us this week on an issue we needed fixed. Amin tock the bull by the horns and handled the issue.
Initially, our salesperson Mikkel M was great. Helpful, accommodating, and explained everything. Then, once he received his second of five payments, (We paid in full), he would stop returning our messages left. Anything from then on hand to be handled by the personnel in the Glendale Ca, office. He received not only commission on our sons purchase, or son's mother in laws purchase and eventually ours. We would never refer anyone to him. We will refer potential clients to Amin.

Solar Optimum provided a great system at a great price. I had 3 or 4 quotes from various companies and only one company built a system that was comparable and a similar price.
The only hiccup in the process was when we completed the required repairs there was no follow up and some difficultly getting the process going, in fairness, it was Christmas, but it did put our install another month or more behind.
After the communication breakdown was resolved ,the process moved quickly and the installers were really helpful and very responsive to question. They really went above and beyond when installing the system and answered questions about existing wiring and provided solutions even when they didn’t have to.
The system produces even more power than was estimated and we have been producing more power than we use which means money back on the electricity bill.
Would definitely recommend Solar Optimum if you’re looking for a Solar system. They have great deals and great systems and are great people to work with.

I had been interested in installing solar panels for a long time. I had spoken with several companies and chose Solar Optimum. Previously, I had contacted companies who had setup appointments and then call back to reschedule several times. They had different reps calling me back and I became very frustrated. I called Solar Optimum and they were very responsive and set up an appointment to review my home. Showing up on time, the representative was very knowledgeable and explained the benefits of having solar panels and what the installation would entail. The site planner inspected my home and created a detail plan of where the panels would go. He listened to me and incorporated my concerns as I didn't want the panels to be visible from the front of the house. He took pictures of the house and also from above with his drone. He was very professional and knowledgeable, answering all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend Solar Optimum. I received a quote several days later. I am very satisficed with the work they did and highly recommend them.

We are EXTREMELY happy with our OVERALL experience with Solar Optimum. We reached out to 3 total Solar Companies and Solar Optimum was heads and shoulders better then anyone else we reached out too. It was an easy decision to make to work with Solar Optimum. I could write a very lengthy review but the short of it is the sales professional that sold us was extremely educated on Solar, answered every single question asked of him, and was never pushy. The install was so flawless there was no junk left behind and the Panasonic EverVolt Panels with IQ8M Enphase Microinverters were installed to perfection. They are so well placed you can't even see them on the roof in most angles. The customer service post-installation was flawless from Paola, Valentina, Rene, just to name a few. This is a VERY well run business and customer service is more than exceptional. On top of this all, our system is generating even MORE power then we expected and the last 2 month's we've had a healthy credit on our electric bill. We are also more than glad we got in well before Nem 3.0. All in all, if you are looking for an incredibly well run establishment from top to bottom, look no further than Solar Optimum. I've already referred a neighbor and co-worker, both of which will likely go with them. I will continue to refer them and know if I ever do need anything in the future, I won't have any concerns. I came to Solar Optimum after being rejected by Tesla for Solar. The difference was night and day. Solar Optimum provided timely turnaround every step of the installation. I was impressed at how fast they were able to provide a new system mockup given my feedback so I could tune the size of my system to meet my budget. In comparison, Tesla took 2 months to do anything, so it was really refreshing to get fast turnaround.
Solar Optimum also seems to be installing the best products. I got Panasonic brand panels with the latest Enphase IQ8 microinverters. For battery storage I got a Powerwall 2.0 and the full installation included a Tesla Gateway and an Enphase IQ combiner. It was really nice to see this product offering off the bat without needing to ask.
The total price was about 20% over what Tesla's quotes were. The key difference will come in with the battery because Tesla steeply discounts those with installation. The solar panel products are superior to Tesla's so I think the price differential is worth it.
I got my installation done from first contact with Sales to PTO within about 6 weeks time, pretty reasonable. And this was over the holidays too.

In summary: This company delivers the highest quality in the Vegas area market at a substantial discount versus Sunrun and, it turns out, their secret weapon is Operations Manager Zhora K. (See details below.)
I'm a self-described Costco "zombie" meaning for years now I've purchased from the store without my usual indepth research because I've learned that on balance I'm getting a good deal and high quality (with a dependable return policy if I'm wrong).
So when I decided to move forward with a solar panel system, I selected Costco's store referral of Sunrun knowing both quality and price would be competitive with the added sense of confidence that comes with any Costco purchase. (No, this isn't a Costco advertisement. Quite the opposite, read on.)
It was only in the last stretch of the negotiations with Sunrun that I decided to double-check the market to confirm my expectations.
And boy was I wrong.
I created a spreadsheet comparing Sunrun with Solar Optimum Nevada and four other companies looking at price and quality of panels, inverters and labor (as well as assessing the companies they sourced these from) and while both Sunrun and Solar Optimum Nevada came out on top on quality (with Solar Optimum edging them out on inverters), Sunrun wasn't just a reasonable 3% to 5% higher but 25% to 30%!!
It was such a gouging of Costco customers that I registered a complaint with them expressing my disappointment that they would allow their recommended service providers to so egregiously prey on their customers' loyalty.
Another zombie down.
Solar Optimum has just completed my system. And it is performing above what it promised in terms of output. But their Operations Manager Zhora is the reason they get five stars instead of a respectable four. Zhora actually personally cares about his customers. He advocates for them even when that might seem to conflict with the company's short-term benefit. I trust him.
After everything was done (including the install of a critter guard I purchased from them after pigeons began holding loud regional excrement competitions above my head at all hours of the night and morning), Zhora called me to say he wanted to return one last time to fix some tiles he'd noticed were broken. At no cost. I never would have known. That is caring about the customer.
Get Solar Optimum. But make sure Zhora is leading the team.

I purchased a Lennar home in 2022 that came with a minimum number of panels. I'm quite disappointed that Lennar does not allow you to go with a vendor of choice or modify/add to the existing design before purchase. So I decided to add on more before the NEM 3.0 rules get updated on Apr 15th, 2023, and sent a request for quotes to more than 6 companies. Solar Optimum not only came back with the best quote, but they also went over all the equipment and finer details of the quote over the phone. They use the best 400W Panasonic panels that have the least amount of degradation over 25 years. They were also upfront with the cash price vs. 12- and 20-year finance options. Other companies refused to disclose the cash price and did not explain how you get such a low APR (only valid for the first 18 months). The project is just getting started and if all goes well, my review will stay 5 stars!

Like best: Once HOA approved, everything went smooth. High quality material, experienced crew who took care of property. Broken tiles, which is not avoidable, got directly replaced.
Could be better: HOA changes were not communicated to crew, could stop crew in time.
Not happy: Consumption meter coils not installed. Didn't tell me during installation. The braker panel was modified, could be installed during this. Unhappy they just wrote there was no space. I can't verify this statement.
Overall the system rocks...went from $205 to $9.60 (PGE taxes etc.) and $143 credit for later (True metering).
SolarOptimum designed very well the PV.
Thanks for overall 5Star service. (Hope you can fix my consumption meter) ;)
I got them referred from a friend and he is also super happy. Same professional result.

I can't say enough good things about Solar Optimum. I had a (6.5kW) Panasonic system installed on my home in the beginning of the year, and it is producing perfectly. I wanted to wait a couple of months before writing my review, but I can now confidently say that Solar Optimum is a great choice if you are looking to go solar. Everyone is professional, knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. The installers were efficient and quick, and I haven't had a single problem. I can't wait for summer to come so I can start seeing even bigger savings on my electricity bill! Highly recommend Solar Optimum!

Solar Optimum made purchasing a solar system an absolute pleasure. First their salesman was patient, courteous and very knowledgeable. Price was better than offered by others. They offered panels (Panasonic) as good as any other and which has a factory in the US. We needed it installed before the end of year to get the favorable tax credit and they were the only company who were sure they could. There installers were skilled and efficient. We discussed options on location of the electrical boxes and where the lines would be run. They worked into the late hours on the final day to finish the job before the expected rains the following day. There were minor issues which they promptly corrected. Our system is up and running smoothly.
This contrasts strongly with some of our friends' experiences who also had solar installed during the same time. One installer failed to secure permits which resulted in delayed startup and savings. Another had issues with installation on a tile roof and had some aesthetically displeasing features. And their systems cost more and produced less.

Due to my relatively high electrical power consumption and a chopped up roof that limited the space for optimal placement of the # of solar panels I needed to offset that high consumption, it was a challenge to find the right high-efficiency products and panel design to accomplish my solar panel objectives. I obtained quotes from (3) highly rated companies, but it was clear from the start that Solar Optimum was the one company that cared as much about my needs as they did earning the business. They were straightforward with me the entire way, and they offered the best product at the best price - without playing games. Last but by no means least, the installation crew was first class, and the system has delivered all of the energy promised. If the system would allow me to give 6 stars on a 5 star scale, I would do it.

Absolutely no pressure sales guys. Every step was explained to me and they were willing to work with my schedule and my reasonable terms. Install happened quickly and clean. I get answers every time I call them up, everyone from the person picking up the phone to the tech support guys are patient and professional. Install guys were professional and friendly. Price wise they were not the cheapest nor the most expensive ones so I think i got a fair deal based on my needs. I do recommend you do your homework and get several bids so you can compare and make the decision based on your needs, if you are going to finance the purchase do your homework, there was a little bit of confusion on the terms of the loan based on some misunderstanding from my rep but I don't hold it against him, since it was just a technicality. Would recommend.

After getting several solar bids I was most impressed with Solar Optimum. They were the most "non sales" types. They were the most competitive in price and quality. If you compare apples to apples and make a very detailed spread sheet like I did along with my next door neighbor we determined Solar Optimum to be hands down the best in terms of quality, performance, warranty and price. We have had it for over a year now and paid 0 for electricity. We didn't over pay for more panels than we needed either. Some solar companies wanted us to have 100-120% of the current electricity offsetting our electric bill but I went with 75% and I am making more electricity than we need. Don't be fooled by all the others out there. There was no charge for the roof inspection, design and HOA approval. It all went very smoothly, quickly and effortlessly.

I interviewed several Solar companies before accepting offer from Solar Optimum. I am so glad I did. Starting from Receptionist Ashley, Arturs, Natalee, Elias, Charles and Ally at Salal Credit Union. The process was SEAMLESS. The only nicks were when I decided I wanted add and an EV outlet. What did they do? They adjusted everything to fit my desire because they acknowledged I am the customer and what I wanted was important to me. No one was pushy or overbearing during the process. The teams that came to my home and perform their jobs were professional and assertive about their craft including installing the EV. We ALL should be mindful if we purchase vehicles in the near future they will be electric. I am not ready to purchase as of yet but next vehicle will be electric. I am ready. Prior to my venture with Solar Optimum I had heard some horror stories about Solar companies botching roofs , rain comes and homes flooded, poor customer service where no one knows ANYTHING!! Again, as of today this has been the BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD WITH A HOME UPGRADE.

After several months of Solar research, we are extremely happy and satisfied we choose Solar Optimum for our solar. Incredible service, great pricing, and super fast installation. Solar Optimum does not use high pressure sales tactics. Instead, the Sales Rep takes the time to answer all your questions and explain pros and cons to the different types of panels, how many panels work and will help you figure out how many solar panels you will need to install based on your current and future needs.
Solar Optimum's customer service is excellent. Anytime you call Solar Optimum you actually speak to a live-voice (person) on the other end. The response time to answering your questions by phone, email and text is exceptional. Solar Optimum also follows through on your questions until they are answered and have addressed any concerns.
Solar Optimum handled the entire solar installation from beginning to end. Solar Optimum coordinated: the Engineer design specs of our solar panels, the Roofer to inspect our roof prior to panel installation, the Solar panel installers, the Electrician for our system, pulling permits from the City, and handling the coordination with your HOA Property Management Team, the City Inspector, and the Electric & Power Company to get your solar panels installed and up and running off-the-grid.
We recommend Solar Optimum for your solar needs!

I started looking for solar company mid September 2020, called several companies. Price wise, Solar Optimum is very competitive and their products and warranty is very good so I decided to go with them. Signed contract in October and had site inspection and final design of the project a week or so after but took a little longer from the city to released the permit due to covid 19 situation. But after we got the permit, they scheduled the installation date which only took the installer under 7 hours to install everything. The installer team led by Rabih H***** was very efficient, respectful and know exactly what they are doing. Passed the city inspection and got my permission to operate few days after.
Big kudos to Ben C**** and William P***** of the sales department , to the whole design and engineering team and to their installer and the whole team and staff who always answered my questions every time I call. I hope they will continue to be efficient in the years to come.
I will definitely recommend Solar Optimum to my family and friends interested in having solar panel.

Prior to engaging Solar Optimum, I did comprehensive research on solar installers and systems. I contacted 6 solar companies based on reviews of customers and their ratings by industry observers. Based on many factors, including but not necessarily limited to competitive pricing, ease of communicating with staff, product offered, willingness to accommodate special needs, contact with past customers and, particularly important to me as I was about to embark on a major investment in a large system, the assurance that the salesperson would continue to be my main contact person throughout the process from contract negotiation to issuance of the final PTO (permission to operate the system by the utility agency ) after installation of the complete system, it was a "no brainer" that Solar Optimum clearly was the right choice. But the person who made it extra special and was the determinative factor in my final decision to go with Solar Optimum was Joe H. I am an inquisitive perfectionist, so my inquiries can be a little overbearing at times. But Joe patiently addressed each of my inquiries politely and comprehensively, offering his honest opinion even when many salespersons would be less than candid on some of my questions/issues. At the outset, Joe assured me he would remain as my primary contact person throughout the process and address any issues that I might encounter with faithful attention to my best interests. He did just that throughout the entire process -- he is a rare breed of salesperson. Furthermore, based on my contacts with other Solar Optimum staff during the process I felt they were very professional and especially attentive to maintaining good customer relations. Thank you Solar Optimum! I strongly recommend Solar Optimum and salespersons like Joe H.

Solar Optimum and their entire team was as close to perfect as a company can get. The entire process was so unbelievably easy - they took care of everything! Permits, applications, rebates, financing, installation, using the best #1 solar panels/inverters/batteries in the industry right now and with an unbeatable warranty (I had two other estimates done before going with this company - Solar Optimum just couldn't be beat on price, service and warranty). Best of all, they were ALL so genuinely nice, professional, PATIENT, responsive, helpful and attentive to our specific needs (admittedly, I am a tough client). One of our neighbors went with a highly rated national company and had endless complaints - couldn't get the service and help he needed, ever. Another one of our neighbors tried going directly through Tesla for solar, etc. and Tesla rejected their job because their roof made it too difficult to install panels. So I referred them to Solar Optimum and they are on their way to having their solar installed! Thank you Solar Optimum!!!

I researched among 3 solar installers and Solar Optimium was one of them. Their prices weren't the cheapest, but I believe in you get what you pay for, especially for a project of this caliber of my home. I felt their service and product selection are the best in the industry. From the initial appointment to obtaining Permission to Operate from my utility company took about 4 weeks. Everything was on point and the actual installation finished in 2 days for 20 panels x 330 watts/panel. I also opted to have the Level 2 outlet installed for EV vehicle so I can include this in the 26% Federal Tax Credit.
I would definitely recommend them to family and friends!

From the moment we reached out to Solar Optimum (based on good reviews), we were very pleased. We were able to schedule an appointment for them to come and go over things with us very quickly. Everything proceeded efficiently and we were clear about what the process would entail. There was absolutely no cheesy, hard-selling, annoying sales tactics that we experienced with other companies. The pricing was also so much better than the other gross companies we had talked to. There is a lot of scamming out there with solar companies, so we were very happy to have found one that was as reliable and professional as Solar Optimum has been. Every step of the process was handled professionally and with great customer service. They walked us through everything in detail. We felt we could trust them 100% and that's huge. They told us we couldn't put in as many panels as we wanted because of shade issues - which was not the case with other companies. We needed to make some adjustments to our roofing and they helped us find an amazing roofing company that handled their work perfectly. We have been very pleased with the reports that are sent every month, and the app that is available to monitor production. Overall, we are really happy we went with this amazing company.

Our experience with Solar Optimum has been great! After buying my dream home which is a small farm, my husband went in search of solar. After installing a new roof, we had 3 companies come out. All 3 were pushy, expensive, not flexible, wanted to force us to lease and only had Chinese made panels. We found Solar Optimum through a friend. They came out and gave us multiple options of product and service! In one day an entire system for a 1/2 acre was installed and running. We own everything, NO payments or lease! Panels have 50yr warranty, Canadian made of vinyl. The system connects through the internet but we are upgrading that to cell tower connection for more reliability. Now I want to add more panels and back up generator. Solar Optimum is here, qualified, and knowledgeable to make all that I need a reality. I would never recommend another Solar company, this one is the real deal!!!

It’s been about six months since we had solar panels installed by Solar Optimum. We have been very happy with the system. No longer do we need to worry about an expensive electricity bill, while allowing our AC to be on as the intense heat waves rage on. If you’re considering going solar, I strongly recommend calling Solar Optimum. Their pricing was the most competitive, and their sales specialists were friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable, providing detailed answers to all the questions I had about the benefits and money-saving. The installation took only two days, and the warranty is for 25 years! We really like the simple App that continuously monitors the energy production.

We received bids from multiple companies with varying equipment. Solar Optimum offered the best equipment for the best price. They listened to my current and future energy needs and sized the system appropriately. They were able to get the permits quickly and even satisfied all of the ridiculous HOA requirements. On the day of install the arrived early and stayed late to complete the install in one day, cleaning up completely. On the day of the final inspection they came out and painted all of the pipes to blend in with the house and we passed final inspection. SCE allowed us to turn on our system in October and we have been producing enough solar energy to meet our needs (and more) ever since. Solar Optimum has always been responsive and if we decide to add a battery system to our solar install you can bet that Solar Optimum will be the first place that we call.

A little over a year ago we decided to get a solar system installed. I looked online and called a few of the better recommended companies, including Solar Optimum. Several of those companies wanted me to sign their contract that same day and asked for a $1,000 deposit check. When I asked them questions about solar and the contract (which was several pages of very small print) it became obvious to me that they were salesmen only and were not very familiar with the solar system side. Not so when I was visited by the Solar Optimum representative. Based upon his assessment of the premises, he provided an estimated final cost that included the need to replace my electrical panel because of current building code requirements. No other company had even mentioned that fact. I'm pretty sure that would have been an expensive "extra cost" if I had gone with some, or maybe all, of the other providers. The preliminary cost figure was among the lowest I received and far below most other companies estimate. Solar Optimum stated that if I wanted to proceed he would arrange and schedule a Solar Optimum employee to come out to inspect and measure my roof, determine likely location of the 13 solar panels, reviewed my electrical panel and reiterated the need to replace the panel. Within a week I received an online and detailed sketch of where the solar optimum (pun intended) location of panels would be installed. By this time, for a variety or reasons, I had little doubt about purchasing my system from Solar Optimum. And now, almost a full year later, I have absolutely no doubt that I made the right decision. The installation process was very professional, efficient, and timely. The onsite management was a distinct pleasure working with and kept me fully informed of progress.
To anyone considering a solar system, I have absolutely no qualms about recommending Solar Optimum as your provider
Oh, by the way, my final cost turned out to be significantly below the initial cost estimate, and the system is working flawlessly!

He advised he had gotten MANY estimates and that Solar Optimum offered the best package. After his installation I checked back with him to see how his experience had been. He advised he was very happy with the entire process and gave them a great review. I set up to get an estimate, Sean was totally helpful to us explaining the program, analyzing our needs and presented a great package. Two years later I am very happy to report that Our System is working perfectly, we get refunds from our electricity company every statement. Overall experience was Awesome!

I went with for Solar Optimum after much research, and many quotes. Glad i did. Prices were competitive, but service was what differentiated them from the others. I at least 4 conversations with one of their energy specialist about sizing the system and equipment specs before pulling the trigger. We ended up with panels and a home battery. Power bill has all but vanished. The battery kicked in, just as it was supposed to during a blackout. While our neighbors were in the dark, we had all our essentials running just fine. I'd highly recommend this outfit if considering a solar and/or battery system. Very satisfied customer!

When we began our bidding process for a solar install, Sean at Solar Optimum answered our detailed questions, projected energy production estimates (which now installed are spot on!) and assured us he would see the process through the labyrinth of LADWP approval process and tax benefits. Prior to choosing them, I met with 3 other solar companies and boy, am I glad I went with Solar Optimum! 2 out of the 3 other solar companies told me they can't install a solar system for me because my roof was too steep, the 3rd company told me yes, they could do it, but it will cost me an arm and a leg. When I finally called Solar Optimum, I was immediately impressed by how friendly and knowledgeable my sales rep was, plus he was able to give me a great price. There are some shady operators in the solar world, but these guys are the exact opposite. They were straightforward, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. We met with three other solar companies and these guys were the best deal, but this definitely wasn't a case of you get what you pay for. Sean came out and went over everything with us and answered all questions. He was great.
After we signed up, everything went smoothly (except it took a little time for the city to send people out to approve the permits, but that's not Solar Optimum's fault). All of the workers were nice and answered any more questions that came up. Honestly, this was the easiest project/upgrade we've ever done to our house in eight years.
It's been a year and a half since the installation and we've had no issues. We're on track to have made all of our money back in less than six years. If you have decent sun on your roof, solar is a complete no brainer: you save money and help the planet. So get solar and use Solar Optimum. We recommended them to three friends who all used them and were happy with the experience. I'll keep recommending them to anyone who is thinking of getting solar.

My folks were just beginning to look at solar companies and a company called us. So we had them come and give quote. They gave us a “deal” but I felt a bit uneasy. I went online to search for more information on solar and found Energysage (that reminds me that I should give them a 5-star review, too!) which not only gave an option to get quotes, but also gave a range for how much we should be paying for solar in CA. The “deal” we were offered was overpriced. When the quotes came in on Energysage we selected Solar Optimum, not only because they had a good price, but also because they were responsive and addressed all of our questions timely. The installation also went well as they did all the permit work required. I highly recommend Solar Optimum if you want to be solar happy and save money!

My wife and I did a lot of research on solar companies and interviewed 3 that we narrowed down. The first thing we noticed with Solar Optimum is the competence and courtesy shown by our initial contact - Mark H. Every employee at Solar Optimum showed that same level of professionalism. Not pushy at all. Very knowledgeable. Answered all questions and addressed every concern.
On installation day we had a crew arrive who was punctual, concerned about our schedule, and coordinated the installation with us at every step. They even replaced broken roof tiles that were away from the area of installation.
Solar Optimum uses Enphase Inverter which is the best in the market.
They provide a 25 year warranty and the follow-up has been excellent.
We would (and have) recommend Solar Optimum to friends and family.

I don't usually post reviews, but I couldn't resist writing a review because the service and installation process at Solar Optimum was incredible.
The installation team provided top notch service, I felt safe allowing them onto my property when I was not home. When I arrived back I was impressed to see how clean they had left the job site. They certainly made the transition over to solar and Tesla hassle free. The only hiccups during the process was waiting on the city for approvals and permits. The open communication with the staff made these obstacles easy to overcome.

We searched for a solar company for over two years. We listened to each companies pitch, researched their product lines but always were left feeling uneasy with either the small print or the companies reviews.
Enter Solar Optimum. We found them to be honest, upright, straightforward with no hidden costs or other issues. We signed the contract and they immediately went to work. Within a very short time we had the panels installed and working perfectly. They even pulled the permits from the city and met with the city inspector. Over a year later everything is still working properly. We are saving thousands a year not paying the electric company, we also acquired an electric car this year and have since eliminated our gasoline bill too. I highly recommend this company, you will be pleased and you will save money.

We had been in touch with a handful of other solar companies prior to contacting Solar Optimum, and they all seemed very similar in their offers (and not quite what we wanted). I wasn't super clear on what solar was or how I could benefit. I noticed a lot of homes in my neighborhood had these systems installed on their roof.
After some research I met with a few companies. They all come in quick to sell me something I still wasn't sure I needed. The final appointment I had setup was with a local installer, Solar Optimum.
They took the time to go into great detail answering my questions. It sounded like I had found my company. I signed and started the process which only took less than 3 months. I was able to get my roof fixed at the same time and earn back some money which made my decision easy to make. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get an honest quote.

I was referred by Solar Optimum by my neighbor George who installed a beautiful Panasonic solar system on their home. He highly recommended that I contacted and meet with a couple of solar companies including Solar Optimum. The rep that I worked with was Mark who answered all of my questions and really made me understand the benefits of solar and the battery storage. Long story short, I also purchased a 7.2KW system and the Tesla Powerwall battery. The process was for the most part smooth and the installation team was great. There was a slight delay in turning on the system thanks to the utility company taking their sweet time. Overall, I am very pleased with the product, price and level of service that I received from Solar optimum. I noticed a few of 1-star and 2-star reviews posted here recently about this company and I don't find it credible. This company has been around for over a decade and are by far much more professional and timely than the other solar installers I interviewed.

I had missed my chance to go solar this year and decided to be prepared for the next hear wave. I learned also that the tax credit was going away at the end of the year and decided to look into this before it was too late.
I met with Rick who explained all the reasons solar would benefit me. We went over each point making sure it was clear why I was going this route. At the end of our time together I learned a great deal more which made my decision that much easier. We decided to have out solar system installed ASAP in order to get our 30% ITC. I can't say there was any part of this that has not made me happy about my decision to go solar.

I've been a loyal customer to Solar optimum for many years now- although I don't typically write reviews, I figured it would be worth it as I've been pleasantly satisfied with the service throughout the years and figured I would let everyone on the interwebs know too. Because it did so well there, I decided to add it to my residential home as well. Over time, I've seen how important of an investment adding solar to my home has been, that I went a step further and also included the Tesla Powerwall to my home as well. I know I may have been a demanding customer at times but the team's sense of urgency and quality of work have not once faltered since originally working with them. I spent so much time researching solar companies in Southern California. I looked at the big companies and the small ones, and I tried to compare them to each other based on price and warranties and of course reviews, and I wish I had found Solar Optimum sooner. I liked Sean and his attitude. He is true people- person, and I didn't feel like it was pure business for him, when we sat down to talk about which solution would be best for my home. When it came to the installation, the crew that came to set it up were all very polite and efficient. No harm was done to my property, the panels look great, and I am very pleased with how the project turned out.

It's been a few years since I got my solar system through Solar Optimum. I am now considering adding more panels, and I didn't have to think twice about who to call. Solar Optimum is the best there is! My system is perfectly, and I haven't had any problems in the 3+ years they've been on my house. When I called Solar Optimum to discuss adding more panels because my usage has gone up lately, they remembered me, which shows that they actually care about their customers. They gave me very fair quote, and just like last time, the process was quick and problem-free. I may even consider adding the Tesla battery soon too.

My family recently grew and my bills grew along with them. That is why I started to try and cut my bills down. When I listed all my bills I found to try electrical was one of the highest. I tried changing lights but nothing seemed to help much. I then thought about getting solar as an option. I sent in my property information along with my usage to a few solar companies before deciding to meet with Solar Optimum. I was very pleased with the results and soon signed my contract with them. They started to install soon after checking my roof and soon had my solar turned on. I'm using the solar now and I have not had any serious issues.

Overall we were really happy with our experience with Solar Optimum. When I called them after finding them on Google, I was booked an appointment with one of their solar experts. Sean's presentation was educational and I felt very comfortable with him but I still wanted to meet with other solar contractors-- which I did. In the end, we called Sean back and moved forward. From the beginning, it has been a positive experience. He kept us up to date at all times. the installation was done in record speed and was turned on in no time. I went straight to my laptop the second my solar system was turned on, because I wanted to make sure I wrote a review. I wanted to wait until the whole thing was done to make sure what I wrote was accurate, and now I can confidently say that Solar Optimum are AMAZING! From the very first phone call, Silva as been extremely patient and informative, and I never felt like all my questions was a burden. The process was great - no complaints. Going solar was not a decision I took lightly. I did months of research in order to decide which solar company would be best for me and my family. I really loved the efficiency of Solar Optimum from the beginning. Silva contacted me right away after my initial contact then I met with Artur for my home consultation. The installation crew who eventually came out to install the solar panels, did so in a really clean and efficient way. They then proceeded to show me everything I needed to know about my new system and monitoring to ensure I was aware of each step in the process. It's also nice to have Silva and Artur's direct phone numbers making the communication as seamless and easy as possible.

It's always a wonderful feeling when you've selected a contract that meets or exceeds your expect. I did a great deal of research on solar installation companies in the Los Angeles , California area and Solar Optimum had nothing but high and consistent ratings/review. One of the reasons is due to the quality of individuals they employee.
From the sales to the installation to the turn up everything was wonderful. There pricing was cheaper with higher quality equipment than the other quotes we received by a substantial amount. The warranty is also one of the best in the industry.
- Sales- George was a wonderful low pressure salesman. He had confidence in his product/company and was attentive in correcting any issues that arose. He also stopped by during the installation.
- Installation- 21 Panel and the system were installed in (1) day. This may not be the case for all installation but it was for ours. They showed up on time and did the work without ever needed to disturb me.
- Post Sales- System was inspected and approved by the city and SCE within a few weeks.
We've had the system for about 10 days and currently producing more power than we use, partly due to the mild June. The only suggestion, I would have is for Solar Optimum to have an installation process checklist (Maybe they did and I lost it).

When I researched, I was considering all of these factors when I evaluate if my investment was worth it: quality of products, customer service, professionalism, honestly and no BS. Solar Optimum gets top scores in every single category! When I compare to the salespeople I've met from other companies, Solar Optimum really stood out. Polite, Knowledgeable, clear in what they are offering and (it seems) really excited about solar. This was the overall impression of everyone I came across from Solar Optimum. I'm the type of customer who appreciate details thus I spent countless hours researching everything I need to know about solar including panel brands, panel type, installers, the finances and return on investment that I would get. After meeting with six different vendors, I narrowed it down to Semper Solarus and Solar Optimum. Both gave me quote for my solar system and both had a similar warranty package. I took the chance with Solar Optimum based on their overall reviews on Yelp and other sites including BestCompany, Google and Facebook. Solar Optimum is the best! When I first looked into solar, the options were overwhelming. So many companies, panels, inverters, prices, purchase plans, etc. After a lot of research and cost analysis, Solar Optimum rose to the top of my list of potential solar installers. They offered the Panasonic panels I wanted paired with Enphase microinverters at a price that beat all their competitors. After accepting their proposal, the installation was a breeze. They took care of the city permits and the actual installation took place soon after approval. The installation team was quick and efficient and did a superb job.
I am extremely pleased with my experience with Solar Optimum and highly recommend them to anyone considering going solar.
