Sigora Solar, founded in 2011, is one of the oldest solar companies on the east coast. Sigora Solar provides both residential and commercial solar systems and has office locations in Charlottesville, Virginia; Richmond, Virginia; and Raleigh, North Carolina. The company installs solar power systems in 11 states across the mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
Sigora Solar is an Inc. 500 company, a Pearl Advantage contractor, a BPI GoldStar contractor, and certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners.

Sigora Social offers solar power systems with $0 down and 100 percent financing available, with low monthly payments. According to the Sigora Social website, a solar power system can increase a home’s value by up to 5 percent.
Sigora Solar is certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). Such a certification demonstrates solar installation training, experience, and having passed a rigorous photovoltaics exam.
Sigora Solar is also a certified contractor with Pearl Advantage and BPI GoldStar, as well as a certified Tesla Powerwall installer. Pearl certifies a small number of top-tier firms that do high-quality work, ensuring that each is equipped with professional training and quality control processes. BPI GoldStar contractors adhere to a set of standards to ensure quality and consistency. Tesla Powerwalls can store solar energy for later use, such as at night or during a power outage.
Furthermore, in 2020 Solar Power World named Sigora Solar the #1 solar company in Virginia and the #22 solar company in the United States.
Sigora Solar financially guarantees the results of its solar power systems. The company guarantees that the solar power system will produce a certain amount of energy in the customer’s contract. After the system has been on and activated for 12 full calendar months, the customer can request a review of the system’s performance. If the system hasn’t generated the promised amount, Sigora Solar will reimburse the customer double the difference.
In order to guarantee results, Sigora Solar sources solar components from leading manufacturers. These include solar inverter producers like SMA and SolarEdge, and solar panel manufacturers like Q CELLS, whose solar cells come with a competitive, 25-year equipment warranty.
Sigora Solar provides renewable energy to homeowners in the following states:
Current Sigora Solar customers who refer new customers to the company can receive rewards via the referral program. Five customer referrals will result in a $100 gift card. If a new customer completes an installation, the referring customer will receive $500. Two installations get the referring customer $1,000, while three installations result in a $2,000 reward.
Sigora Solar works with customers to bring electricity to people living in rural Haiti. Through the company’s Produce + Reduce package, each purchase of a solar power system also provides one for a family in Haiti.
Though Sigora Solar has developed a competitive and widely available solar program for homeowners across the country, and has been in business for at least a decade, few verified reviews could be found that speak to the solar company's solar installation quality and customer service.
Sigora Solar does not as yet disclose its workmanship warranty, which would protect homeowners from paying for damage caused during the installation process. Leading solar companies cover the workmanship of their systems for up to 25 years.
