Freedom Power? DO NOT USE EVER, worst customer service on the planet. My system has been down for months now. Took two months even to send techs to look at it; after working directly with Telsa diagnosed the issue back in July and shared the info with Freedom well in advance of the Techs showing up and they did not have a clue about the issue. I have been repeatedly lied to by service, my calls go directly to voice mail (I know this because I had my wife call from a different number and they picked up), emails get a autoreply, promised a service manager would call me back (Been waiting weeks for that call now.) I strongly recommend Tesla equipment; but not if installed and maintained by Freedom Power. I still have to pay for this system as my utility bills go up, I need power ALL THE TIME since I used medical devices at home. I have had to install a third backup system from gas generators since I cannot depend on Freedom for shit except for getting run arounds from them. Top it off with SunPower their solar panels; is going out of business.

Communication with Support and Install teams has all been through text messages which allows for asynchronous communication and a clear record of what they've promised. I was told the off set would be 100%. I did not know that meant I would pay my electric bill and get 0.1cent back per kw. So I get $13.00 discount off of my bill for what I generated even though off set is more to the grid than I take from the grid. I was told companies can even match but the ones that do not cover my area. Im hoping summer will have better rates.

Loved our sales person & all his detailed information. Lots of confusion happened regarding the actual installation dates and other promised appointments, dates & times. Scheduling department needs a lot of revamping. The installation went great! We had a follow up call more than a month later. Were given a number of promises that have yet to be fulfilled. The system is not generating the amount needed to zero out our electricity bill, as promised. We need to meet with Freedom to get that taken care of and to be reimbursed. Overall, we’re happy we used Freedom. Just need to make sure our issues are addressed properly. Follow through doesn’t seem to be a strength at this point.

The installation took way longer than expected. Signed the contract in August and installation occurred in February. When there were some problems, communication was very ineffective. Also one of the workers damaged my property (punched a hole in my handicapped ramp) with his ladder and left the property in a dangerous situation and it took a while to get that fixed. Overall the system is working okay but whenever there was an issue, there were problems getting the person responsible involved. Who was responsible was not clear and customer service was slow. Using Freedom Solar works well if you make the effort to supervise the process and bird dog them on everything they are supposed to do. Also their price for solar is much higher than other companies. On the positive side I can't say enough good things about my sales rep Andrew W. He was fantastic on every level and helped me tremendously when I had problems with the installation.

After doing some research we decided on freedom. They are local to our area. It can be hard to get a hold of someone in customer service but otherwise they are great. They got it put up in one day. They came out bright and early in the morning. The crew was great. They knew our exact specifications. We had some questions and they were able to answer. It looks gorgeous and the app is simple to see what we are producing. I would recommend them to anyone.

Unfortunately, I have to update my review with this downgrade. To be fair, I have loved the performance of my system until this latest issue. It appears that once Freedom Solar has your money you can forget about any support from them. I have started having problems with my battery backup system so I tried to contact Freedom Solar service by phone, by chat, by email with no response or even acknowledgement that they will look at the issue to diagnose and fix the issue. When you call your put on hold and after a while the phone system cuts you off. They offer a call back option but they never call back. I've submitted service requests through email with no response. I've been on their chat where they promise to contact the service department but nothing! It's more than frustrating. Since then I've been in contact with Tesla support and they have connected me with another company to look at my outside. Bottomline, once Freedom takes your money don't expect them to live up to their commitment!!

I chose Freedom Solar because I took about 3 weeks to research different companies. I spoke with different salespeople and at the end it seemed to be the best choice. They said I would have the #1 panels that would cover my entire house. the system would be sufficient he said but when the day came, they lowered the number of panels. because I would have to pay more in insurance if I did not, I was never told This company assured me that my electric bill would be eliminated that my bill would be about 48 dollars and that is what the electric company charges for their services little did I know that my bill tripled because now I do not only pay my electric bill that is about $230-$330 my solar panels cost about $333 and when I contact them, they say they are working correctly I could understand that i still paid $100 plus my panels but not $250 plus my panels.

Their installers destroyed a new, 2-month-old roof. Each repair attempt was ludicrous and ultimately resulted in a leak that was so severe the ceiling inside the house caved in. The roof was finally replaced and solar reinstalled and we are whole, but it took months and lawsuit threats to get it accomplished. Never again.

Pricing and financing were good for original purchase. Installation was relatively good timing. Installation went good for the most part except that at the end of the day, the installers appeared to be in a hurry to finish to repair a leak on someone's roof. As a result, some spare parts were left for me to clean up.

The sales person I worked with was excellent. The installer team was great and our yard was not a mess afterwards. However, customer service has been a challenge. I have received at least one email per month, which was copied to the CS team, from AEP demanding post installation information and photos. Honestly, I'm simply tired of these emails and the CS team seems NOT to respond and it is very irritating!

The panels are producing in excess of what we thought it would. The equipment is top notch. We had an issue in the first month or two. We weren’t sure if the breaker was done on one of our HVAC units and they came out even though it wasn’t directly related to the solar and helped troubleshoot the system.

I felt like after the contract was signed there were multiple issues. The CEO got involved and resolved everything. He was great, down to earth guy. However, after installation was done, was expecting our sales rep to reach back out to check up on us, but that didn’t happen. I felt we were not well prepared once installation occurred.

I live in a remote location so getting service can be many weeks and that is not really acceptable. If I had known that I would not have chosen them. I had a failure early on. I am a retired instrument engineer so I like to up with stuff. I don’t think the average person would have noticed. They didn’t tell me I had a problem but they did help me rectify the problem but it was a long, drawn out procedure.

Customer service is always willing and able to answer questions. The only negative thing was they miscalculated some local coding on the number of panels they can put up. Installation was pretty uneventful. The system is running low. We were promise 39 percent and it is more around 26.7 percent.
