• Panasonic — CAM Solar recently became an authorized Panasonic dealer for residents in Texas and Colorado. Widely considered to be one of the top solar panel brands in the solar industry, Panasonic solar cells are up to 20.3% energy efficient and come with a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty.
• Mission Solar — Panels from Mission Solar are not far behind Panasonic and also come with a 25-year warranty plus up to 19.35% energy efficiency. And because Mission Solar panels are manufactured in Texas, Texas utility companies will offer special rebates to homeowners who use Mission Solar panels in their solar PV systems.
• Hanwha Q CELLS — CAM Solar also implements solar modules from Hanwha Q CELLS into its solar installation projects in Colorado. Hanwha Q CELLS achieve up to 20.1% efficiency and come with a 12-year warranty.

SolarEdge Inverters

CAM Solar uses industry leading string and micro inverters by SolarEdge. In addition to converting solar energy into usable electricity for the home, SolarEdge inverters also provide system monitoring, consumption, and output through a helpful mobile app.

Tesla Powerwall

In addition to its solar array offering, CAM Solar has also partnered with Tesla to install the Tesla Powerwall, a leading solar battery designed to store solar energy to be used even when the sun goes down. In addition to 24/7 access to solar power, the Tesla Powerwall also acts as a backup generator in the event of a power outage.

EV Charging

Not only does CAM Solar provide backup battery upgrades, but the company also installs electric vehicle charging integrations that more fully maximize the solar panel system's overall efficiency. CAM Solar installs level 2 EV charging solutions designed to take full advantage of the home's sunlight potential, lower carbon emissions, and establish energy independence.

Limited Workmanship Warranty

In addition to the manufacturers’ warranties attached to the solar panels and inverters installed in each system, CAM Solar provides customers with its own 10-year workmanship warranty, which protects the systems against problems caused by installation errors during the first 10 years of operation.

While 10 years is certainly a generous warranty length, leading solar companies attach workmanship warranties up to 25 years or more to their solar PV systems. Twenty five years is widely considered to be the average lifespan of a solar system, so these are, in essence, lifetime warranties. CAM Solar could improve in this area by matching its workmanship warranty terms with top companies.

No Solar Lease or PPA

CAM Solar does not appear to offer PPA or Solar Lease options. The company does offer competitive loan financing options with either a 10-year or 20-year repayment plan, zero money down, and a fixed 2.99 or 3.99 APR respectively; however, for customers who lack the funds to finance their system upfront or who may not qualify for a loan, lease, and PPA options are often viable and affordable alternatives to going solar.
