  • Satisfaction Guarantee
  • Free Inspections
  • Four-Step Protection Process
  • Career Opportunities

Satisfaction Guarantee

Cook’s Pest Control boasts that as a family-owned business, the company takes great pride in its reputation and work ethic. If a customer is not satisfied with the work done by Cook’s, the company will give customers a free month of service and refund 10 percent of their last month’s service fee.

Free Inspections

Before determining a quote, Cook’s Pest Control provides a free inspection of every property. These inspections apply to residential and commercial clients. Any potential customer can fill out the online form for free inspections and Cook’s promises to make contact within one business day to schedule an appointment. Following the free inspection, Cook's Pest Control shares the findings with potential clients and what can be done to remove the problems.

Four-Step Protection Process

Cook's Pest Control utilizes a four-step process to protect its member's homes from common household pests:

Inspection: A thorough home inspection helps the company identify conditions that encourage infestations and recommend an effective control program

Interior Treatment: On the initial visit, a technician will treat cracks, crevices, and voids in the home to eliminate pest problems at their source

Perimeter Protection: Technicians seal, caulk, and correct outside areas to block pests from gaining entry and then establish a protective barrier around the home using exterior baits, granules, and other scientifically-proven products

Monitoring and Prevention: Company professionals consistently monitor the home's protective barrier to make sure problem pests can't get in as the weather changes.

Specialized Services

Cook's Pest Control offers treatments and specialized services for a number of different pests, including ants, bed bugs, bees, brown recluse, carpenter bees, cockroaches, crickets, earwigs, fire ants, fleas, millipedes, mosquitoes, pillbugs, rodents, silverfish, spiders, stinging insects, stink bugs, nuisance birds, termites, and ticks.

Cook’s Pest Control offers a Termite Control plan, that aids homeowners and business owners in from losing thousands of dollars to these pesky insects. Whether a Cook’s member wants to treat a termite problem or prevent one from happening, Cook’s provides customers with the environmentally-friendly Sentricon® System. The Sentricon® System with Always Active™ uses bait stations that are placed around the home to eliminate the need for liquid chemical treatments that over time can damage a home’s foundation.

The Bad

  • Only Available to Six States
  • Unclear Information on Re-Treatments

Only Available to Six States

Cook’s Pest Control serves customers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Cook’s is proud to help the residents of the Southeast U.S. and is confident it will remove problem pests and earn homeowners trust with its many years of regional experience.

Unclear Information on Re-Treatments and Payment

Cook's Pest Control's website states that the company will give customers a free month of service and refund 10% of their last month's service fee if they are not satisfied. However, many other pest control companies offer free re-treatments if pest problems persist. It's unclear whether or not this company offers that feature as part of its guarantee.

It is also unclear on the company website if there is a contract involved with the service and how much each treatment costs. The company's large emphasis on free inspections may suggest that prices differ depending on the size and severity of the job-to-be-done.

If you live in Cook's coverage area, the company may be worth your business due to its reputation for customer service and effective services.

However, it is unclear whether or not the company offers free re-treatments.

I was very happy when I first started with Cooks. After 5 years my tech left. That is when it got worse. No matter how many second chances I gave the bugs got worse. I answered their emails on how they are doing. I complained several times. I must have got 3 different reasons why the bugs got worse. "It's all the rain, they are in the attic, they nest under my porch" After a tech went into the attic I was still walking in on palmetto bugs. After the review I didn't get anything. So, I refused to pay the two visits which helped in no way. I just got contacted from a collection agency. Yeah, I had to pay for pest control that didn't get rid of the pests.

Unreliable monthly service. Had to call and request service when tech did not show up the week scheduled. After 3 months I had a different tech every month. Had a new tech show up in January who asked what we wanted done - I told him to spray the outside as usual - he didn't spray, he left. No one showed up in February 2020. I contracted with them for monthly service in January 2019.

I asked for treatment inside and out, Cooks draws up a contract for just outside and advised that if they do their job right, we should see less and less bugs. That wasn't the case, I started seeing more bugs, spiders and cockroaches in my house after their service. This company is awful, their product is terrible and because of the lousy service, I have to pay a cancellation fee? Are you kidding me?

Rats somehow found their way into our home. 8 days have passed since a guy in a Cook's Pest Control CAR came by to talk to us on 12/14. All I've received from them since are excuses. Now I'm told the service will definitely be done by the first of the year! To me, this is simply unacceptable. If you ever need a pest control company and live in the Montgomery, AL area - call someone else.

Billing always messes up. They can't communicate with themselves between their termite and pest control services. No matter how many times you ask them to come on Tuesday or Friday - they come on Wednesday. Totally disappointing
