The fact that BBB has this company as an A+ rating is an embarrassment. This is a dishonest scam. I have been under 'contract' since June of 2024. They clearly state if you are not satisfied they will retreat 'free of charge.' I have done this twice and both times they just move up the next billable appointment, so there is NEVER a retreat. Every service is billable as a punishment for complaining. They REFUSE to allow you to cancel the service, endlessly citing the contract, even though the contract states, 'After the initial 18-month period, service will continue until canceled. Service may only be cancelled by a physical written letter with a wet signature or by calling and speaking to a representative.' Every time I call to cancel, I get a different answer about a specific time I have to call back to cancel, though no one will define what that is. I spoke with Noah on Sept 8, 2025, who refused to let me cancel the service until my last treatment in October. When I complained to a manager, Garrett, I was told my last service is September and my account will go month to month in October. He again refused to allow me to cancel, stating I had to call back after my 'last service.' I may have to obtain legal representation since they make up what the contract holds me to, but they view themselves free of their obligations in the contract to provide this service to the satisfaction of me, the customer. It took 40 minutes from my day to have this pointless and frustrating conversation filled with lies and dishonesty. I was told Garrett is the 'highest lever person who speaks with customers.' The owner named Chris apparently can't be bothered with customer issues, and he expects the customer to be bound forever to monthly payments for ineffective treatments. Buyer beware! Read the BBB complaints before dealing with this company.

Alta charged me $500 for ONE treatment and their sales guy misled me. I hope this saves you some money. Here is what the salesman intentionally misled me about: - He said I would get monthly treatments. - He said I could skip when I needed to. Nope. Alta treated my house one time. When they called the next month I asked them to skip September. They said okay but DID NOT SAY I WOULD STILL BE CHARGED $79.99. A few days later I saw the charge come through. I was confused because they had confirmed we would skip September. When I called in to tell them they had wrongfully charged me for a service not provided, they told me that all I had deferred was the mosquito treatment and that the GENERAL PEST CONTROL IS ONLY PROVIDED ONCE PER QUARTER! Stay with me here: The salesman told me they treated monthly ("twice as much as Romex" which does bi-monthly), and the customer service rep did not explain this when I asked to "skip September." They refused to let me skip September's payment because THEY PROVIDE QUARTERLY TREATMENT BUT BREAK IT DOWN INTO MONTHLY PAYMENTS. So if you "skip" you aren't really skipping anything! You still pay monthly! BUT THEY DO NOT PROVIDE GENERAL PEST CONTROL TREATMENTS MONTHLY!! Do you see how misleading this is? The salesman sold it as a monthly pest control service. He literally told me they treat every month and that mosquito fogging is included. IT IS NOT. The mosquito fogging is free and you can defer it. BUT YOU CANNOT DEFER YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS BECAUSE THEY DO NOT PROVIDE MONTHLY GENERAL PEST CONTROL. Long story short, I paid $200 for the first treatment and $300 to cancel. So I paid $500 for one treatment, all because they would not let me skip one month and I was so alienated by the lies the salesman told me vs what the company policy is that I just wanted out. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company and I highly recommend you avoid them.

On the plus side, the representatives who visit are very considerate and willing to explain things. They also generally seem mostly knowledgeable. However, there are times when I feel like all they are doing is coming out to refill bait stations and set more traps. When we have mice issues in our garage, I would like an attempt at a solution, not just more traps. Also, Alta's billing procedure (and late fee policy) is confusing and punitive. The bill should not be attached to the visit report. Most visit reports do not contain a bill, so I never know when to look to find the one with a bill. The bill should be sent in a separate e-mail so it is visible. The late-fee policy is too harsh, and combined with the billing concern I laid out, leads to a bad taste in my mouth about Alta.

I am extremely disappointed with this pest control company. We’ve been paying for a monthly subscription, yet we have more pest issues now than before starting service. They came to service our home about a week ago and In the past two days alone, I’ve had to deal with spiders and ants from our front yard infesting our vehicles. Both of my young children—strapped into their car seats and unable to protect themselves—have been bitten (my baby girl on her feet, my son on his stomach). Not only is this a safety concern, but it’s dangerous for me as a driver having to swat at insects while operating a vehicle. When I called yesterday, I was told no appointments were available until next Wednesday. I had to call again today, and the representative I spoke with was less understanding, refused to let me speak to a manager, and only then scheduled someone for tomorrow. We signed up for reliable pest control and peace of mind, but instead we’ve gotten delayed responses, poor customer service, and zero preventative results. I would not recommend this company to anyone who values safety, responsiveness, and effective service.

I was referred to Alta Pest Control by neighbors in my community (Reserve at Canyon Hills). I called and made an appointment and they scheduled it immediately. I am so happy that Alta was referred to me. Omar came out to service my home. He was very polite and informative. He gave me information about the initial visit service and each additional quarterly service. Omar was on time and punctual. Omar informed me to call if any problems. My initial service was a fail! However, after calling customer service, I was able to express my concerns, and they offered to send another technician to redo my service on July 19, 2023. I requested they send an experienced technician, who was always very thorough. They definitely did not disappoint! The second technician who came out was Keith. He was very professional, he didn’t rush through the service, when I asked questions, he explained the process in detail, and he assured me that he would perform the service that I was promised. He also apologized for my previous service tech. As I mentioned, in my first review, for which I gave only 2 stars, I have two ring devices, and I was able to watch live again the second time. Keith performed the service exactly according to the videos I have watched. I would recommend Keith to anyone who is looking for outstanding service. I asked Keith if I could request him each time, and he said I could. There is no doubt, I will be requesting him each time. SC

Juan was late arriving. He gave me a window from 2pm to 3 pm. I saw him come to my street around 2:45 pm and wait up the street and did not arrive at my house until about 3 pm, even though I told Alta that I would have to leave at 3 pm. This was a return visit because Alta claimed that they treated for crickets and mosquitos but I still had crickets in my house and mosquitos in my yard. Juan arrived and said he was ready to spray inside the house. I was in my bedroom on the computer, he asked me to leave so that he could spray. I walked out. When I returned to the room, I noticed that my $400 cash money in my nightstand was stolen. Alta said that there was nothing they could do because he did not admit to it. So I lost the full year payment of over $1000 to Alta plus $400 cash stolen out of my nightstand. This was a bad deal all the way around! Don't trust these people in your house without standing there and watching every step and don't expect that all your bugs will be gone.

I have used this company for over 3 years in two different residences for termite prevention. They installed and maintain the Sentricon termite bait system to protect our home. Also use them for indoor and outdoor insect pest control. Great service, great products! Very pleased. 5 stars!!

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY! They will not show up when they are supposed to and then will lie about it. We received the first treatment which did nothing and then they sent a different company to spray as their chemicals would do a better job. Then the next 2 times they were supposed to come out they did not show up. They send an email to let you know when they will be there, we were at home the entire day when they were to come by and they did not show. Additionally, we have a dog that barks when someone is around our house or especially in the back yard. We would have known if they were here. Complaints or requests to cancel the service after them not showing and lying about it were dismissed. We paid for a whole years service and got one treatment that did anything and it was from a competitor of theirs. That treatment did seem to work although that was in the fall and the pests would have been less in any case. Today the manager of the Charlotte Alta Pest Control said there was nothing he could do to help us. They took our money and gave us nothing in return. I should also mention that the emails they sent to me had our address wrong, this was pointed out to them several times. Still today, an hour ago, the email still had the wrong address. I assume they were coming to the wrong house (if they came at all). They do not seem to consider this a problem. They are a total scam company!@

They are the worst. They schedule whenever they feel like it. I went months without service and then they decided to start my service back up and sent me and email the DAY BEFORE they were to come out. I have responded to their email to cancel, which has not been a problem in the past, but this time they decided I needed to cal or they were going to come out anyway, even if I did not authorize it. So they did and now expect me to pay for services I did not agree to. Not only that but I have two cameras around my home. In watching the recordings I see them doing absolutely nothing other than pretending to clean webs around my back porch camera. Alta pest control is a scam.

we got the insulation done in our attic our air condition was working good that night our a/c cut off when the a/c man came found a gap in the duct work i swear nobody was in our attic except alta tryed to get them to pay for the damage but Destiny there supervisor told wife they were not paying for it i called alta back and she left for the day i wanted to talk to another told me they would call me back that was today
