I ask for help and they refer you to the wrong Attorney.. they just referring you to the same law firm in different attorney just so they could charge. Do not use this service. This is a scam.!! legal Aid and Legal project are free and more helpful

We got sued by a bad neighbor (trying to take our land through adverse possession) and because the neighbor hasn’t like us since before we had Legal Shield coverage and referenced that, Legal Shield declined coverage even though we took out extra trial insurance through them. Nothing legal had happened between us and this neighbor prior but Legal Shield back tracked and wouldn’t cover us. Total scam. Save your money, don’t waste it on them.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My last experience was terrible. I was bitten by bed bugs with medical documentation but the attorney would not help. Also a hotel sent a debit card replacement back and caused me serious problems, and lied about a policy to throw me out after they said they were an extended stay. The attorney would not even write a letter.

I’ve proceeded with 2 cases and Legal Shield Canada gave the false information for both of them. If we would proceed with their advice we would definitely lost. After my own research we got the way to win both cases. Legal shield refused to take any responsibility and refused to refund money for bad service. They have been really good couple years ago however not any longer.

Legal shield is ALMOST impossible to cancel once you start it. You have to call them as step 1. Find out membership number Step 2, Send Email requesting a cancelation with the word CANCEL in memo is Step 3, step 4 is ensure your membership# is on it or they will start right back to billing your credit card. It should never be so difficult to stop someone from billing you for a service you no longer want. Legal shields strategy is make it very difficult to Cancel.They have several hoops you have to jump through perfectly to cancel this. It’s should be criminal Stephanie Williams

I would not recommend Legal Shield to anyone. I consulted them for a dispute I was having in California with my landlord. After joining, opening a new case and uploading documentation, I had brief telephone conversations with the assigned attorney, but after 2 months they made no progress in my dispute and ultimately closed my case and could not provide me with any lawyer referrals. You are far better off getting legal advice from the court near you, or hiring an attorney directly.

After having cancelled my membership I have been constantly bombarded with emails. I have previously requested them to stop and sent them a copy of the electronic harassment law for my state. STILL getting multiple emails daily. How ironic that a company that provides access to attorney’s can’t do simple things after being requested to stop with the harassing emails.

Most attorneys are not well versed in customer service, however the supervising attorney I spoke with was very short with me as if I did not deserve her time or energy, Ms. Lauren from the St. Louis, MO area. When confronted of her rude nature she was basically like bye and hung up. Please beware of LegalShield and their attorneys they will not come through when you need it the most or they’ll tell you what to say during court (which doesn’t work) or it’s a conflict of interest. Save your money!

Pretty much useless. The woman who called me for my consultation told me almost nothing of value and then tried to sell me services. She also wasn't very friendly. I tried using the services for a month and it provided no value. They also make cancelling a complete pain in a$$. I don't recommend LegalShield.

The attorney called and said they'd need to refer me to another legalshield office since the matter I contacted them about related to a NY legal matter. My designated attorney firm is in NJ. I understand this, but why can't they email? Instead they have clients wait days ? It does not make any sense.

Had a consultation with Dana P. She was very nice but definitely made legal shield sound better than it is. It’s a scam. She said the only time we’d have to retain a lawyer is if we go to court for custody of my son. I talked to one of the lawyers (or paralegal whatever they are) and the ONLY thing she could do was send a letter to my ex. They won’t even file ANYTHING helpful at all for you with the court system. You have to retain a lawyer (which is 2500- 5000 then hourly after that) just to file a paper for you. This is a complete SCAM. Get a local lawyer.

LegalShield took several days to refer me to a lawyer that didn't return my calls. When I, finally, reached him, he refused my case because someone in his law firm had represented my ex-wife, This screening should have been done prior to the referral. Days later, a replacement refrral didn't happen. When I complained, a manager named Kim was obnoxious!!!! Because of their delays I will not see my son for Christmas! LegalShield's unethical misconduct is inexcusable!!!

Had it for three months, never used a service and sent me a letter stating I’m not eligible for a refund when it states on their WEBSITE: “You can cancel your membership at any time, for any reason. Once your membership is cancelled, we will refund any unused portion of your membership fee on a pro-rata basis.” Not to mention the customer service rep told me that I was eligible for one. She kept trying to get me to use a service, but continued to say no.

In April 2019 I retained Bob W to represent me, long story short, court was rescheduled for September 2019 because I wanted to have a trial and explain what REALLY happened during my traffic stop so the of court Bob W was a no-show but I spoke with him the morning of and he had the nerve to tell me he didn't have to be there and if I needed him, call! Mind you, I was suppose to be having a trial! I do not recommend wasting money on legal shield!

I have been a long time client and very pleased with LS previous law firm ( Watson G) , however, they switched to another law firm in 2018(WWR), for past 3 years this new firm has proved that they are not capable of treating their clients in a professional way, their customer service does not exist, they are rude and mean, yelling at clients and supervisors are no better than the telephone receptionists. It is so sad that Legal Shield has chosen a horrible law firm to represent them.

First I noticed all reviews with over 1 or 2 stars are 4-5 years old. All of the experience I've had with the Legal Shield provider in Hawaii have been totally useless. The lawyers are useless, rude or both, any attempted to hire the firm beyond initial contact have failed. I just talked with a women who could not get her dates straight _ i've been trying to talk to a lawyer for over 10 days and they keep saying I'll call back in 3 days and called me difficult. What a total waste. Save your money.

Despite their claims, there are NO LegalShield firms or lawyers in Alberta. It took four months to talk to a lawyer in British Columbia and my request to have a simple change in my Will could not be accommodated. Waste of membership fees. Not recommended.

I would not recommend them. They never advised I have to wait 3 months before they could take my case ???? That does not make sense. Why don't you charge $100 upfront instead of having me wait 3 months and then I presume they will waste another 3 months. Just ridiculous!!!! They do not return calls for weeks and when they return they say it is courtesy. That courtesy can be changed any time, depends on which lawyer you are dealing with. There is a reason why they are cheap..., probably because there is no service.

Irving they advertised is real, at least for me. I signed up for both and I’m being burned every month for both fees and not once has anyone ever gone over the details of any of the cases I need help with; divorce modification, business, and trust. I’m filing higher up than online agencies, this is a serious issue.

Customer Service is poor when attempting to get an account reinstated. They have a metrics on reinstating an account within 24 to 48 hours. It is now well past 72 hours in resolving this issue. At this point in time I give them 2 thumbs down and would suggest you seek guidance elsewhere for legal services.

This service was a waste of my time and money. The attorney they assigned to me did not make any attempt to contact me, and I had to chase him down for almost 2 months. When I did get through, I was told by his partner that he was too busy. Huge waste of time. I'm in a worse position now that I was before I put my trust in LegalShield.
