I haven't needed anything yet so I don't know if I will be satisfied or not. The first day I wore the device it said that it detected a fall... when in fact all I did was put it on over my head. ?!? But I followed the instructions to dismiss the "call for assistance" and have had no issues since. I take it off to sleep, but the charger is only inches from my pillow.

MobileHelp associates were always polite and patient. However, they misdiagnosed the problem causing lack of service 100% of the time and always denied any responsibility. Neither did they authorized a refund, though I received service 0% of the time, and they always blamed my phone(s). I finally gave up and went to Verizon, which provides service 100% of the time.

Life Alert's response time is speedy Gonzales level fast! Like, seriously, they don't play around. Their highly trained team jumps into action right away, contacting the appropriate emergency services and keeping you in the loop. It's like having a whole squad of first responders ready to swoop in and save the day.

The company is expensive and you lease the equipment you don’t own it. My father passed away and I called on a weekend to cancel the service and was not told that the equipment needed to be returned. Replacement will cost $250 and monthly charges will continue until it’s returned. The company does respond quickly but the quality and business model is not geared to reasonable cost and service. They are relying on their long and well-known advertising to provide mediocre service.
The Final Word
While LifeAlert is a strong name in the medical fall alert industry, consumers seem to love their experiences with MobileHelp much more as evidenced by both the number of reviews and the star ratings of those reviews. That said in all fairness to Life Alert BestCompany does not have a partnership with Life Alert where we help them get more reviews and we do in fact have such a relationship with MobileHelp.
