SmileDirectClub Cost

SmileDirectClub charges $1,950 for one-time payments — slightly lower than the average cost for the industry (cost may vary based on country and currency). 

If customers want to pay monthly payments, they make a $250 one-time deposit along with $89 per month for 24 months. Making monthly payments does end up being a bit more expensive than paying all at once, totaling $2,386. This cost averages to about $3 a day throughout the duration of the treatment, which is up to 60 percent less than the price of traditional braces.

This price, however, does not include a retainer set, which costs an additional $99. 

SmileDirectClub is slightly cheaper than other companies within the clear aligners and clear braces industry. This is especially true if you factor in that SmileDirectClub's treatment does not require you to make regular visits to a dental office, so you save on office visit costs. 

SmileDirectClub’s prices are much cheaper than traditional metal braces, which can cost around $5,000 without insurance and around $3,500 with insurance.

Straighter Teeth in 6 Months

The duration of each customer’s teeth alignment process will vary due to the severity of misalignment. On average, SmileDirectClub can straighten a customer’s teeth between four and six months of treatment. This is done by wearing SmileDirectClub aligners (a clear plastic retainer) 22 hours a day for a designated amount of time. This is generally quite a bit quicker than metal braces and traditional orthodontic care.

Nighttime Straightening Option

SmileDirectClub now offers an even simpler way to straighten teeth — SmileDirectClub Nighttime Aligners, aligners that only need to be worn in the evenings. For those who are not feeling excited to commit to 22 hours of aligner wearing per day, these new Nighttime Aligners are the solution. Those who opt for the nighttime option are only committed to wear the aligners for 10 continuous hours a day, most of which should be while you are asleep. Because of the shortened daily wear time, the overall process will take a bit longer, averaging around 10 months.

Easy 3-Step Process

There are three steps in the straightening process at SmileDirectClub. This process is similar to most other clear aligners.

1. Making an impression of the teeth — SmileDirectClub will make a 3D image of the customer’s teeth to prepare different sets of clear plastic aligners to straighten the teeth.

The 3D image is made in one of two ways: customers can visit one of SmileDirectClub’s SmileShops or partner network dentists for a free 3D scan of their teeth or pay $59 for SmileDirectClub to send an impression kit to the customers’ homes, which walks customers through taking an impression of their teeth by holding plastic trays with a tasteless putty in their mouth. This creates an impression mold of the customer's teeth so the company can create a 3D representation.

2. Completing the treatment — SmileDirectClub aligners will be produced that are specifically designed for each customer and sent to their house. Each set of aligners will be worn for a predetermined time, with each set becoming increasingly straighter, aligning the customer’s crooked teeth along the way.

One of the company's more than 250 state-licensed dentists or orthodontists will monitor your progress via regular virtual check-ins. The treating doctor will track progress remotely, eliminating the need for in-person visits. 

3. Purchasing a retainer — Once the teeth are straightened and the treatment is finished, customers will need to purchase a set of retainers for $99 to be worn at night, so the straight teeth don’t move out of place again.

SmileDirectClub recommends that customers purchase a new set of retainers every six months.

Flexible Pricing Options

So how can you pay for SmileDirectClub?

There are two payment options and costs for clear aligner treatment. You can pay all at once, or you can pay monthly. Monthly payments do not require a credit check. 

  • $1,950 for a one-time payment 
  • $89 monthly payments, totaling $2,386 (this includes the $250 down payment)

SmileDirectClub accepts payment through Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and CareCredit. The company is also in-network with most major dental insurance companies, which means customers can often cover on average 50 percent of their treatment with insurance. Depending on your dental insurance plan, this may come as a reimbursement through your insurance provider.

Teen Treatment

In July 2020, SmileDirectClub launched a new treatment catered specifically for teens. The new SmileDirectClub treatment plan includes a patented aligner case with Tile bluetooth tracking so that teens will have a harder time misplacing aligners. In the event that aligners are lost, the Lost Aligner Protection Program is available to make sure that replacement aligners are expedited and treatment won’t be delayed.

SmileDirectClub is also adding new features to its telehealth program, such as aligner change and doctor check-in notifications for both teens and their parents. Teens with mild to moderate malocclusion can get started on their smile journey by requesting a doctor-prescribed impression kit.

Ships Internationally

SmileDirectClub is currently available in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, Germany, Austria, Singapore, Spain, and Hong Kong.

Club Warranty

All customers receive their SmilePlan, or a 3D view of their treatment plan, within 72 hours of their scan appointment or impression kit return. Aligners are custom-made and shipped to the customer within about five weeks depending on the country.

Customers have up until 30 days after receiving their aligners to return them for a full refund. If customers aren’t satisfied with their results, SmileDirectClub offers free re-evaluations and can provide additional aligners. This is at no cost if SmileDirectClub is notified within 30 days of treatment ending.

SmileDirectClub also offers free aligner touch-ups for life if a customer notices their teeth moving out of place. This Lifetime Smile Guarantee is only valid if customers purchase two sets of retainers a year after finishing treatment. 

Customer Support

SmileDirectClub offers 24/7 customer support via phone, chat, video, text, and email. The company has a dental team that is available via phone, email, chat, and video to assist with concerns, such as fit issues, progress concerns, or general treatment questions.

Oral Care and Whitening Products

In addition to providing a cost-effective teeth straightening option, SmileDirectClub has expanded into oral care products. The company offers items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, water flossers, and even a UV cleaning machine. 

SmileDirectClub includes teeth whitening products in its teeth straightening treatment packages at no extra cost. Other companies in the industry will charge extra if you want to include whitening products. This is only available in the United States and Canada. 

These products are also widely available in the United States through SmileDirectClub's website and at Walmart (United States only). All products come highly rated on both Walmart and SmileDirectClub’s websites. SmileDirectClub is the only clear aligner brand to offer a one-stop shop of oral care products.

Down Payment Required

SmileDirectClub requires a $250 down payment to begin its monthly payment plan. On top of the cost for the at-home impression kit, it could cost customers around $299 to sign up for SmileDirectClub.

Retainer Not Included 

Not only must you pay $99 for a set of retainers at SmileDirectClub, but the company recommends that you buy a new one every six months in order to keep your teeth straight.

Customers should also note that while SmileDirectClub does offer a smile guarantee, you have to order two sets of retainers each year to maintain that guarantee. 

Some Customer Service Issues

Some customers have expressed frustration with SmileDirectClub’s customer service, often having to wait a long time before getting in contact with a representative to resolve their problems. Other customers have expressed their aligners caused discomfort to their teeth and gums. That being said, straightening your teeth requires teeth to be moved, so some discomfort, especially early on, is to be expected.

The Bottom Line

SmileDirectClub is the largest in-home clear aligners provider in the country and claims to represent around 95 percent of the doctor-directed at-home clear aligner industry. With over 6,300 team members and more than 390 SmileShops, the company provides invisible braces for a price slightly lower than the industry average. The average time for treatment is also about average, with most treatments ranging from four to six months. SmileDirectClub offers a standard daily wear aligner as well as nighttime aligners and a special treatment bundle for teens. 

In addition to each clear aligner treatment, SmileDirectClub also provides teeth whitening to each of its customers and a warranty. If within 30 of treatment a customer isn’t satisfied with their smile, they can contact SmileDirectClub and receive a free re-evaluation. This warranty combined with 24/7 customer service makes SmileDirectClub a great option. The downfalls are that after treatment customers must pay for retainers at $99 a pair to keep teeth straight after treatment and that it’s recommended customers buy those every six months to keep the smile guarantee. And although SmileDirectClub’s customer service is available 24/7, some customers have noticed long wait times to get in contact with a representative.

very shady, was told that I had the opportunity to decide after I signed if I want to go with them because I had an appointment with my dentist for Invisalign. they straight up charged my card and then I talked to customer service and they were no help. They claim that I signed therefore I agreed. I even ask the specialist before signing if I am agreeing to pay them even though I am still deciding. She said "No" . she lied. I got my money refunded but just off of that experience it shows how shady they are. There is a lawsuit going on right now with smile direct club messing up people's bites. They probably have AI do most of the work and some freshly graduated dentist to sign off on it.

They boast a straight smile cheaply and conveniently. My teeth aren't straight and the retainers left one of my front teeth discolored. At the end of the program they wanted me to pay $400 for more retainers/over 4 more months still with no guarantees that my teeth would end up straight. They aren't directly answering my question about the discoloring I've noticed since wearing the retainer. They boasted convenience but this has been one huge headache. Save yourself time and money. Take care of your teeth and use a different provider. At the end of this program I am left feeling concerned about my teeth and their overall health.

I finished my treatment with them, overall I got good results but less than a month after I finished, my teeth started to move back to the initial position. I purchased their retainers and the guy who took my scan told me that they had lifetime warranty if I ever wanted to fix that issue (they recorded the appointment so I'm assuming there's proof for that) but then, when I called again to ask about the lifetime warranty they told me, they said that it wasn't true and that I had to pay $45 dollars per month for the aligners AGAIN. I didn't mind, I wanted my teeth to look good for my wedding... so I went back for my THIRD scan and they told me that I should hear back from them in 5-10 days. It's been 15 days now and I haven't heard back from them, and whenever I try to call to their customer service line they keep hanging up. Terrible service.

Felt like a sales pitch the entire time I was there and then they keep emailing me despite me unsubscribing multiple times via a variety of reasons (clicking unsubscribe link, replying to an email, requesting on the website form etc.) I also had a simple question after my consultation and tried to speak to someone in customer support who were incredibly rude and unhelpful, and one of them ended up just ending the chat abruptly. Seems shady to me

Signed up for the nighttime 10 hr wear aligners, received the 22 hour aligners emailed customer service (because you can't call and get ahold of anyone or chat online with anyone regarding this issue) and assigned a "case number" and a response was supposed to have given within 48 hours it's been 2 weeks and no contact of any kind. This is alot of money to be given the incorrect package and not get any feedback!

they charged my account for the full amount of the treatment before I was contacted by a dentist or orthodontist as they said would happen. They also said they would research my insurance coverage before they would charge my account and that never happened either. SDC is nothing more than a high pressure sales scam similar to aluminum siding salesmen of the 1960's. I recommend anyone contemplating teeth straightening avoid SDC completely and go to a professional, reputable orthodontist..

The sharp plastic edges on the aligners, cut my inside cheek, tongue and they told me to cut or file the plastic down. I spent $1,950. quality is in the detail. their reply, was that they make millions of aligners, and they do not have the man power to file the sharp edges. So they expect their clients to cut and file the sharp edges? Also,a lot of people have disabilities and could never cut something with small trimers. This could be a big law suit, no reasonable accommodations. they need to send out a finished product, that has no sharp edges sticking out. s .

I did not have a good experience. At the end of 9 months, it was recommended that I wear them 4 more months. But because of the concern of dentist, I discontinued the treatment. My dentist was concerned because my bite was so far off that my top and bottom teeth were mere hitting to the point that my teeth were chipping. The aligners are great. Customer service however kills the entire experience with this company. They can't find my account, even after I give them all of my information. They have deleted my account multiple times, making me have to call and wait over 30 minutes for them to recover it than they say it was never deleted. And when you refer a friend to help them save money on their aligners, Smile Direct never sends you the gift cards they promise. Such a waste of time.

I had numerous issues from the aligners causing opened areas on my gums to not getting replacements in a timely fashion that is not getting them for 4 weeks. I took the initiative to after I didn't get it for 2 weeks to go to the next level. Whenever I got the replacement it was for week one. I was at week 8! i had to trim every aligner with my my nail scissors to keep them from cutting my gums. I ordered a retainer to keep my teeth in place and I haven't received that yet. I completed the treatment in Janurary,

I did the program for 6 months. I have been wearing my last set for 2 months. I went to my dentist and they are now referring me to an orthodontist because my teeth are not perfectly strait and have more to go. I have emailed customer service to see how this can be remedied and I have not heard back.... I went with SmileDirect because of the time and money. Smile Direct Club charged my credit card BEFORE I even received a treatment plan from an actual orthodontist. The person that did my scans was not an orthodontist and couldn't answer all my questions regarding my crowns, alignment and overbite. When I called the company, the person barely spoke English and hung up on me.

The tooth that needed correction most didn’t get corrected and my bite doesn’t quite feel right. I wore the aligners diligently as directed. I gave my feedbacks very next day when I was asked right after the completion of my treatment. But there has been no follow ups from the doctor or the company.

I actually had a scan done and ,y liner no longer fit after #7. I got a new order but they were very poor made. I still have the first set which is much more quality. The new set is very flimsy and does not feel supportive of my teeth. They just poke my tongue.

I just recently ordered new retainers. I was sent the one that would have been for plan 1. But I had refinements and all SDC can do is ask for pictures. It should be easy for you to figure out what to do without putting me through extra work.

Costumer service is not that good, any time you want to get help you will get a new person has no clue whats going on and you have to start ALL OVER, basically their is no person assigned to your case to help you from start to finish, this makes it so difficult and complicate to get the right service and better help.

This is my first ever negative review I’ve ever written, so that tells you how detestable this company’s actions were against me. I first got my aligners 7 years ago and I have had nothing but absolutely horrendous dealings with the customer service. Orders placed and not received, no communication, no responses, no desire to make errors right, teeth shifting because my aligners or retainers weren’t sent when promised. Notes were rarely left on my account when I contacted customer service, so no one knew what was going on. I wasted countless hours and money, all for my teeth to have now shifted back to where they originally were. To their customer service, left is right and up is down. There is no reasoning with them and they will not uphold their side of the “lifetime smile guarantee”. I am happy to finally be free of dealing with their incompetence and I have made an appointment with a real dentist. I am hoping this review helps people not make the same mistake that I did.

I will never recommend smile direct. My $100 was not taken off and I paid in full at my first visit. It took them about 6 months to send my referral friend her gift certificate for $100 & remind you I still have not received mines while I am own my 11 aligners. Customer service reps are rude they never help with my calls Ech time , supervisors I recommend for a call back within 24 hrs never call me back. They do not take there time to Reseach my account to see what is my concerns / plan , they ask you questions and put me on A hold for each question for 5 mins each time... and still my problem still have not . resolved

This company is horrible! Customer service leads you in circles and never gets back to you! I was not 100 percent satisfied with my smile and only needed to have maybe one or two more aligners added. I have been trying to get the customer service for about 8 months now. Every time I talk to someone on the phone which is impossible to I am told I will receive an email with how to proceed and that it may take up to 5 days for said email to be sent. This is an absolute scam I feel like and I would have just used a reputable company like Invisalign if I was to do it over again! Would not recommend just because of their customer service process.

BUYER BEWARE! I used smile direct aligners to try and correct a crooked tooth on my lower front teeth and to straighten my overall smile. My first set of aligners came and I was very happy with the ease and limited contact this service provides but just a few sets into my treatment that changed. The aligners are cheaply made and some sets fit well while others are jagged and dug into my gums making them painful and sore it got so bad that I went to change into my new set one day and they simply didn’t fit. I went back and the did a complimentary rescan and in a few weeks I got a new treatment plan with new aligners. I wore every set like I was supposed to and got to my last set and my teeth had not been corrected at all. I went in for a 3 rd scan and they have a new treatment plan for me but here is what they don’t tell you. These can hurt your teeth, I have 2 new chips on my lower teeth because my bite has changed and I think the way my teeth hit has caused this breakage , my gums have receded in several places I think from wearing these everyday for such long hours, I also have a hard callous on my outer gum from where they rubbed everyday and lastly I think there is a crack in a lower front tooth from the stress they put on my teeth. I have declined the next treatment plan which was going to be for 8 months and am going to my dentist to see what they can do to help me. BEWARE they will not refund your money if your problem is not corrected no matter what they tell you in the office. My teeth are worse today 6 months after starting and I wished I had never used this product. I am 51 and during Covid I wanted the limited contact but that was a huge mistake this is an inferior product and very expensive to get no results and no help from customer service. Just be careful when you deal with them they take your money and leave you damaged.

I'm starting to question if Smile Direct is doing something fraudulent. They will not give me the tax ID for the dentist Dr. Isaac P who is supposedly "overseeing" my case and my insurance company will not process my claim for reimbursement without it. The "insurance specialists" at SmileDirectClub who are supposed to be helping me just keeping telling me that my insurance company does not need that information. My insurance company insists that they do need it to process the claim. So beware - if you sign up for Smile Direct, don't expect to get the information you need from them. I'm starting to wonder if Dr. P even exists.

I would give zero stars if I could. I had my in-person visit and explained two things. First, that I have a space between my front teeth that I wanted to keep, and second, that have 2 implants that are not moveable. In the week after my appointment, I was looking for the email with the doctor’s proposed plan and 3D image but it dis not arrive. However, I happened to notice that my card was billed for the full amount. Therefore, I logged in to my account to see the proposed plan and 3D image. But the plan and image was not what was discussed because it closed the space I wanted to keep and “moved” my implants. I have to assume that the doctor didn’t t read the notes in my file. I next spent 1/2 hour on the phone to get a refund. Very disappointed.

Long story short, this experience was terrible. Probably one of the worst customer service expresses I’ve ever had. The representative was unprofessional, condescending, and very rude. I had come in with my sister, and we went into her office together for our appointments. She seemed like she could care less about our experiences.. She sat as we entered, she did not smile, and seemed very disinterested. She made a comment that we did not do our research before coming into the office. Absolutely shocking! She completed my scan, which she did a good job in telling me what she was going to do. She then tried to convince my sister that she did not need her scan done if she was not committing to getting the aligners. When we told her that we wanted to get it done, she finally began the process… After what seemed like 10 minutes. She did not provide my sister the same service as she had for me, and seemed to rush the process. She did not engage in any conversation and kept looking at her watch, almost 10 times total. Terrible! Overall dissatisfied with our experience, and likely will not be purchasing aligners from this company as this representative did not do horrible job advertising for it. I disappointed that I ordered on August 13th. I spoke with several SDC reps who were never on the same page. I asked about revisions when I received my first lab and was told it couldn’t be done. On September 6th I expressed my concern for the lack of communication as well as not being approved for revisions when Invisalign was able to correct it. At that time SDC put my plan on hold and said that my account would be reviewed in 72 hours. In 48 hours, (September 9) I received an APPROVED plan from SDC with someone else teeth. I contacted SDC and spoke with 2 different people who were both clueless until being directed to the dental team. Once on the phone with the team I was informed that the email was sent in mistake and they had texted me my new plan. I have asked the rep how long it would take to receive my aligners after being told it would take 3-4 weeks from August 13th to now being told I won’t receive them until September 30th or later. I’m extremely disappointed in how my experience has been thus far and hope to see an improvement made within the company.

Smile Direct is a COMPLETE ripoff! When I received my aligners they did not fit… well the bottom ones did but that’s it. Contacted them, kind of got a run around then finally they stated oh well we can set up a video chat with one of our dentist, specialist or whoever was in charge of possibly making corrections so they could see what was needed. No one called. I reached back out and they stated ok we see the problem (I seen in photos as they requested.) Took forever to get the new ones and they were worst then the first pair. Did not fit what so ever. It was like they were for baby teeth. Contacted them again PISSED. Days later someone calls and states that she seen my photos and that the top on is supposed to fit that way! Mind you the top ones didn’t “snap” in place, had a huge space between the bottom of my tooth and the aligners and since the aligners didn’t fit on my teeth properly it caused the top part to cut the inside of my lip. So how can that possibly be how they are supposed to fit? She told me to get dental wax to prevent from cutting… Are you serious? That’s your answer to the whole situation. I kept reaching out and reaching out and reaching out pure silence. This was over 4-5 months ago. They have no problem with taking your money. It’s crazy that I’m still expected to pay when you guys did not provide the service. Out of the whole ordeal I was only able to wear week 1 bottom aligners. Really? Great Job Smile Direct! Not to mention the Quality of the aligners are also trash. I’m convinced 90% of the good views are paid for.

At first I was happy with smile direct club, then when it came to getting my touchups the communication was extremely disappointing to say the least. When I sent in my new impressions there was a sticker That said I didn’t need to worry about pictures this time, if you weeks went by with no emails or communication when I made a call and realize that my touchups hadn’t even begun to be processed because smile direct club was waiting on pictures… Again, I had no email saying that I needed pictures I even checked my spam and junk folders. When I called back I was hung up on by one customer service representative named Anna another customer service representative couldn’t give me a clear answer so I asked to speak to someone who could help me.It was this gentleman who told me that someone should have sent me an email asking for pictures and that’s what delete the whole process I was then told that there would be a special request made to manufacturers to see if they could push up the manufacturing of my new aligners for my touch up plan and then I would get an email confirming if this happened or not. I received no email so I assume that I’ll have to wait the extra 4 to 5 weeks For the new set. Unfortunately, I’m afraid that these aligners I’ve been wearing for two months now or too loose to keep my teeth in place and I’m afraid my teeth are shifting back I have no idea what to do and no one has been able to help me the last customer service representative that I spoke to told me that I would just have to wait. So again, I was so happy to finally have an affordable option to straightening my teeth with smile direct club but in the end I’ll never recommend you again. My smile has caused me so much insecurity throughout my whole life… In my heart I can’t seem to refer you guys knowing that you might let someone down again, someone who has her heart set on it like I did.

I was promised I'd have a consultation with a dentist to discuss my treatment...but never got the call. They charged my credit card and shipped out my aligners...I followed the return process exactly as they said, but the "window" as to when I can receive my refund has now changed 3 times. When I call, I get promised a return call but I have never received one. I've gotten two identical emails asking for documentation to support getting my refund...but they never respond when I question that...I have been waiting a month for my full refund and keep getting the "polite" runaround by the customer service agents. I do NOT recommend getting involved with SDC. My opinion would change if someone just read this, reached out to me, and made sure I got my refund. Then, they could schedule a phone call with a dentist so I can actually understand my treatment plan before I pay almost $2000.

After you send in the impression kit, they relentlessly harass you. I'm talking about 2-3 calls a day, 7-10 text messages a day. And more emails than I can keep track of. I told them about 2 dozen times that I am a first responder. That I work 80 hours a week for minimum wage, speeding all over the county responding to 911 emergencies. I need my phone line to be open. And as soon as I have the money, I will order them. Well now they're telling me that if I don't order them by tomorrow, they're going to delete my account. And if I want them later, I'll have to do that whole impression process and everything from the start all over again. Oh, and I never got the cost of the impression kit reimbursed like they said I would when I returned it. I've had enough. They have been such a huge pain, I'd rather save and pay more. And go somewhere else.

SmileDirectClub feels like a scam. When I walked in for my 3D scan, I was asked if I would agree to be recorded in exchange for a $25 gift card. I agreed. But when the “gift card” arrived, it came with a stipulation that I have to spend $50 for SDC online purchases outside my treatment plan to redeem it. So essentially it was a coupon rather than a gift card. Red flag no.1. The second red flag was when I was presented with purchase paperwork during my “free scan.” Days later SDC attempted to charge my card before I could even review the treatment plan they had designed. But it gets worse. During the scan, I brought up a question — whether I should shorten my front teeth before or after I order SDC aligners — for the remote orthodontist to review and made sure the question was recorded on the intake form. Two days later, I got an email from Dr. Eric Guirguis who said my SDC plan was approved. I replied back asking the same question I asked during the intake. No response. I did not proceed with my purchase and SDC has been relentlessly emailing and texting me about completing my purchase. But every time I bring up the question, I get nothing but crickets… from which I can only assume that no actual doctor or orthodontist looks at your case very closely, if at all. I’m not even sure if Dr. G is an orthodontist as SDC never provided that information. Every sign seems to point to a scam or scammy behavior with SDC.

Supposed to finish treatment in May, on my lower I had one front tooth that stopped moving, I put in for a touch up May 5th, I still have yet to recieve my touch up kit. I was supposed to be done with treatment May 28, I’m getting married July 4 and I amEXTREMELY UNHAPPY and UN SATISFIED with this company. I’ve had to waste countless hours via the customer service chat to try and get the new aligners sent… 2 months and still nothing, each time I talk to a rep it’s starting from scratch like they had no clue I’ve contacted customer service 10 times in past month and still NOTHING… I’m sure no one will see this but I am so disappointed with the service. I made the mistake of referring a friend who used my code and yet you guys have no record of my referral and no compensation to me for the referral… My smile is a disaster right now and I’ve come to grips that the $2000 I spent to have a nice smile for my wedding is WASTED! I will be looking for a refund and will follow the proper channels…. I’m sure I won’t get a refund or my my aligners but I’m sure I’ll still be getting my daily emails and texts about purchasing more useless products for a smile that has been ruined… feel free to contact me as I’d love to finally hear something from a rep who cares about customer satisfaction…. They were primarily interested in getting me to commit by giving them approval to charge my credit card for advance ordering of the aligners. They promised that I would get an email within 72 hours from a dentist or orthodontist about whether I had been approved for treatment and including photos of what my finished smile would look like. However, nine days later I have still not heard from them as to whether I have been approved or not for treatment, only an email saying they are working on it. It has given me the perception that they are primarily interested in getting my money rather than meeting my needs for straightening my teeth, and also that communication with the professionals during treatment would be difficult or impossible and not at all what had been indicated. Very disappointed in this company.

I have never come in contact with such an unorganized company in my life. Just to name a couple issues: They charged the wrong card, there are no direct answers with questions regarding return policy, instead you’re given vague answers that come off as a (take my word for it) and vary depending on who you talk to. There is no communication. The lady at the SmileDirect office where I went to get my 3D scan never told me about the portal I have to sign up for (which you need to move forward), but was more than happy to take my money. Oh, and i’m still waiting for my revised treatment plan that takes “1-3 days”, because the original one they sent me made my teeth actually look worse than before, and had completely different shaped teeth than mine. No worries tho, that was 8 days ago! 🤦🏼‍♂️ What a joke!
