I'm new to home warranty services. I had a right leaking faucet on my washing machine setup. The tech was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. After he left I noticed the left faucet was leaking and wondered why he didn't fix it. BECAUSE I only reported the right one leaking, that's why! I wasn't aware the left was leaking, if the tech knew it he didn't say anything . So I have to arrange another service call, this time with a washing machine in the way and pay another $45 fee because of something that I didn't discover but I'm sure the plumber did. . . it's the way this warranty works, I was told. Am I to be nickled and dimed for the next 5 years?

Great service over the phone. Took a few minutes to talk with someone and get the right information. I did not like how I got sent an email with a promotion of 399 for a year with two months free, only to be told the promotion had ended and I was not given the 399 as mentioned in a very explicit email I received. Overall, somewhat satisfied, that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

I felt as though the representative was trying to "fast talk" me into something I didn't want. He would quote me a figure, then, put me on hold (said I have to check with my manager) in an attempt to make another deal. I know that occured at least 3-4 times. Each one supposed to be a big discount for me, however, price starting with 499.00 and ending with 1,750.00 granted for more years, however, I felt that I was being pressured into something I did not want. When I refused he became "short" with me,I told him confirm the 399.00 on my credit card or this call is over. I know he's a salesperson, however, I don't liked to feel I'm being coerced or belittled.

My clothes dryer had quit heating so I called Select Home Warranty, they had a repairman call me quickly to come to my house. He determined it was beyond repair and the company told me what they could do for reimbursement. I was happy with the outcome, this was the first time I put a claim in.

I'm a new customer with Select Home Warranty. The salesman was very courteous and gave me a break in price. The only reason I rated this company 3 stars is because I haven't used them yet. Once I have a need to use them, then I will be able to rate them. My experience with other home shield warranty companies is that it has been very difficult to find a find technicians to come out to fix the problems after 4:30 P.M. or on Saturday. Prior to making my decision to select this company the salesperson Zachery and the claims dept. reassured me that this wouldn't be an issue. Going forward I hope that will be the case. Once I actually have an issue and need something repaired or replaced I would be willing to complete another survey and give my opinion.

When purchasing the warranty the representative was very informative and knowledgeable of the coverages. I have not had to use the warranty yet, so i can not rate it based on that. However w cost was far better then the competitors and their staff is very knowledgeable.

I liked the options provided but felt I was pressured into purchasing the product, because I wanted to talk to my husband first and it was like I couldn’t get him off the phone. But once I purchased he wasn’t concerned about my questions anymore he already got his quota for the day and he was done with me. And kept referring me to his email.. it was like he couldn’t get off the phone fast enough.. ugh

I was looking for a reasonable price home warranty to protect my home. Other companies were more expensive with a higher service call. I was on line at the right time. I got $200 off (regular price of $599.99) and 2 free months if I paid in full. That comes out to $28.57 per month. What a great deal!!!

If there was a way to give negative stars, then this Select Home Warranty company woud top the list! I got a multi-year policy unfortunately and every single claim was denied! Even when there was finally a claim that they covered, they offered me a token $50 for a refrigerator claim instead of fixing it. It is a rip off! When I asked for my refund, they told me $0 for a policy for which I paid over $2000! I would have been happier to lose that money in Vegas than to these immoral scammers!

I called to file a claim on my water heater that is 4 years old I was told it wasn’t covered because water was leaking from it. Clearly mechanical breakdown is the reason it was leaking but It doesn’t matter if any of the covered components caused it to leak because I said the word leak it’s not covered. I tried to cancel my policy that I paid $1500 upfront for 4 years. I was told when I bought it I could get any unused premium back - that’s not true even though I have 2 years left on my policy I cannot get any of the money back. This company is a scam.

Have had to call several times for one claim because they wouldn't listen to me or the tech that did the work. Denied a claim based on inaccurate info. Even when the tech called and corrected and clarified it. Have since called 3 more times and still waiting. Been more than 2 weeks

I called for service on my refrigerator, the repair estimate was @ $500.00 and I was offered $125.00 towards a repair or replacement. If I had saved the money I spent on this worthless warranty. I would've have $500.00 + $60 service call fee to apply towards a new refrigerator.

They wouldn't fix the problem with my A/C unit and want my to pay the whole price. They only approved me for $150.00!! I would give them a 0 but it requires you to put something down!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to have insurance with them!!

Cannot get a tech to my home in a reasonable amount of time. Took 2 weeks for my gas dryer and I am on day 3 of no heat and contractors tell me they aren't receiving either payment for services or dispatch papers to do the job. Then the tech just don't show up

I was told my warrant covered my fridge when I bought it but at point of repair, the service company was told my warranty did not cover my ice maker that comes from manufacture in the fridge. If you purchase a warranty have an attorney review first before you agree to anything.

I've had nothing but poor experiences so far. The appliance repair companies you sent 1- stole our deductible and never returned our calls or came back to fix our appliance. The second company overcharged us and ripped us off. The entire process took months to resolve too.

Worst experience ever. SHW never discussed policy issues with me. Never called back when they said they would follow up. Agents claimed they couldn't see all note in files to reference. SHW lies and have me the runaround on approval because they finally admitted they thought I was lying about how I provided maintenance records.

The claim I submitted was denied. I spent almost six hundred dollars on a new water heater because the most common failure point, the tank itself, is NOT covered. I called to cancel my annual renewal and was promised a partial refund of my replacement costs. I haven't heard from them since and received NO refund.
