Guard Home Warranty Reviews

I have now had to use my Guard Home Warranty twice. In both instances, I have had excellent results. I have used other warranty companies where you have to wait for them to assign a contractor and then wait up to 48 hours or more for them to respond and it has typically been a back and forth process with delays and more delays that that is highly frustrating. Then it always seemed that parts needed to be ordered and more wait times. With Guard Home Warranty - I chose them as I wanted to be able to call my own contractor and use them which meant I was more likely to get a faster response. The process in both instances (both were HVAC issues in two different homes) works such that you call or make a claim online first. Then, you contact your contractor to assess the issue. Once it is assessed, you need to call the warranty company (in both cases for me the wait on the phone was about two minutes which was great). I made sure to let my contractor know that I would need them to be ready with model numbers of my A/C units, age of the equipment, the assessment of damages or needs and the costs for parts and labor. Given that I expressed this up front (and one contractor did not want to deal with a warranty company as they have had poor experiences in the past), they were ready. I put the warranty company and the contractor on a three-way call and the contractor answered all the questions asked. I got my approval for the work within an hour (NOTE - I told the contractor to just do the work as it needed to be done) and I did get an approval in both cases. On the first case, I was able to get a receipt for the payment I made to the contractor that same day and I immediately uploaded the receipt to the warranty company and they reimbursed me that very same day!!! It was incredible. On the second case, I did not get my receipt from the contractor until the next day and once I submitted it, I was reimbursed within 2 days. In either case, that is remarkable in my opinion. These two experiences were the best I have ever had with warranty companies and I am now a huge fan of GUARD and will use them going forward. These are my real experiences and I am happy to recommend them based on these as well.

The option to choose your own contractor is nice. The peace of mind knowing my clients are covered should they experience a mechanical failure.
