The Good

  • Unlimited Claims
  • Payment Plan
  • 24/7/365 Claim Service

Unlimited Claims

Warranty Direct does not appear to place any limitations on the number of claims a customer may place during a given time period. There also does not appear to be any restrictions regarding the total amount that may be paid for a covered repair item; however, unlimited protection is only available on the company's Home Care+ Plan.

Payment Plan

The home warranty company offers a couple options for customer to be able to purchase a home warranty. The purchased plan can be paid for by any major credit card or through its EZ Pay option. The EZ Pay payment plan works by the customer activating coverage with a down payment and agreeing to pay monthly installments thereafter on the chosen service contract.

24/7/365 Claim Service

If a customer should ever need to file a claim, the company can be reached 24/7/365 through a toll-free number. The company will arrange for a qualified service provider to come to the customer's home to make any needed repairs. Customers may also choose their own service provider as well as long as they meet the company's requirements for qualification.

The Bad

  • No Upfront Pricing
  • Limited Coverage
  • No Mobile App

No Upfront Pricing

The company does not disclose any pricing information regarding yearly premiums or service fee deductibles on any of its warranty plans. Customers must contact the company directly in order to receive a quote.

Limited Coverage

Warranty Direct does not provide optional coverage services offered by some other similar marketplace competitors. The company does not warranty pool/spa equipment, well pumps, roof leaks, or septic plumbing. Certain restrictions also apply on covered items and these are fully disclosed in the sample contracts that can be found directly on the company's website.

No Mobile App

Warranty Direct does not provide a mobile app for customers to use in order to make payments or file a claim. There is no other online claim assistance offered on the website either.
