Tiered Plans

Ideal Home Warranty does have three-tiered plans. Homeowners can choose from the Gold Plan, the Platinum Plan, and the Ideal Plan. 

The Gold Plan covers the following appliances:

  • Air Conditioning System
  • Heating System
  • Electrical System
  • Plumbing System
  • Plumbing Stoppage
  • Water Heater

The Platinum Plan provides coverage for the following appliances:

  • Garbage Disposal            
  • Kitchen Refrigerator            
  • Oven/Range/Stove

  • Built-In Microwave            
  • Dish Washer            
  • Washer/Dryer

The Ideal Plan includes coverage for everything in the Gold and Platinum Plan but also consists of the following appliances:

  • Whirlpool Bathtub

Homeowners also have the option of additional coverage for pools, spas, septic systems, stand-alone freezers, water softeners, sump pumps, refrigerator icemakers, central vacuum, well pumps, and more. 

24/7 Claims Department

Ideal Home Warranty allows homeowners to file a claim at any time. The company has a 24/7 Claims Department that handles all claims.

Ideal Home Warranty states that homeowners can view the Terms and Conditions on its website. However, whenever we tried the link, the site simply stated there was an error in the URL, and/or the page we were looking for has been moved or deleted. 

This is extremely frustrating since it's crucial for homeowners to go over the terms and conditions before signing a contract. While Ideal Home Warranty provides a general overview of its coverage, it's important to know what isn't covered. 

For example, some companies offer garage door coverage as a part of their standard plan. However, if you want coverage for your garage door opener, the company may require you to purchase an additional premium (or they might not even offer coverage for the opener at all). 

Without the Terms and Conditions page, homeowners are left wondering what isn't covered and any other stipulations Ideal Home Warranty might have.  

No Pricing Information on Website

Most other home warranty companies will include some pricing information along with their coverage plans. This allows consumers to easily see what kind of coverage they're getting and how much it will cost them on a yearly or monthly basis. Ideal Home Warranty doesn't include any pricing information on its website.

I put in a claim last week because we thought our hot water heater was going out, but come to find out the issue wasn’t the hot water heater. It was the pipe that leads from my kitchen sink down to where the hot water heater is. The plumber was able to diagnose and fix the issue quickly . What I love about Ideal Home Warranty there is always someone to call to give me an update or answer any questions I have about my claims. Filing a claim with Ideal Home Warranty is so easy.
