i have had a hard time getting quick repair. not quick service call, but the follow through is not good on calls that i have made with exception of one. I don't need you often, and the monthly payment is not cheap. i don't feel like the return on my investment is good at all.

Do NOT waste your money. I've been with them for a year now and the compressor blew on our a/c unit in the middle of summer in Texas. They're saying it wasn't normal wear and tear so they are refusing to cover it. Every A/C technician that has come through our house in the last couple days has said they are really bad about not covering customers' claims. They sent me out a cheap a/c repair man who was shady and trying to sell me stuff without going through the home warranty. Save your money for a better home warranty where they won't rip you off.

I would probably not bother wasting time and money on this company. The salesperson will tout no inspection necessary. Will tell you if the home or units are not new, that that is exactly the reason to obtain The Choice Home warranty, “as nothing lasts forever” But should the need arise they will use the exact reason why you purchased the warranty to deny you claim. Not worth cost frustration and anger you will experience

I wish I could give this company less than a rating of zero. If you need a home warranty, keep looking and don't pick Choice. I am an honest person who bought this home warranty as an extra level of added protection. I had been with Choice for 4 year and had no claims. Recently, I had two minor issues. Dealing with Choice to help with the issues was near impossible. I hope no one else has to deal with this too. This company will use EVERYTHING to get out of paying your claim.

Instead of $60. it end up costing me $340. to use my plan, I was treated very dishonestly and unfair because I keep all my service receipts for what I was told I didn't do in preventative maintenence. But because they were looking for default, no one was interested in seeing them or speaking to me further 😔 scared to call again but sadly my plan was paid up front for the year.

I placed a claim with this company for a stand alone freezer on June 14,2018. The freezer needed to be replaced so they sent me a notification they would mail a check for less than half of what it is going to cost to replace it. I wasn't happy with their service so I decided to call today and cancel my warranty and go back to First American. I was told the check would not be issued if I cancelled so I am going to have to pay for another month to receive what I already paid for. Horrible company!!!!!

The salesman on the phone told me that if something can't be fixed it will be replaced. Not some dollar amount given to me but a full replacement of the item. Then when I read the contract it said that Choice Home Warranty has the option to give me cash instead and that amount can be what it would cost them after their discount. He lied to me and I need a better answe or I will cancel.

I am in the middle of my second claim with CHW. I will NOT be renewing my contract. It has not given me the peace of mind I paid for. The first repair (11 year old stove) was denied, and they wanted to give me $350 for the COST? of replacement (stove cost $2,000 when it was purchased). I am waiting for them to approve a simple washing machine repair (4 yr old machine.) They deny receiving paperwork from technician, even tho technician sent it 2 days ago. Horrible!

I have no idea why you would send me a review and my air conditioning is still not working. My air conditioner broke almost 2 weeks ago. My house temperature is around 85 degrees. I had to go buy multiple window and try to cool down my house. I am getting reimbursed for anything. There have been numerous no shows and 30 min wait phone calls to get through. I am not happy.

I called to ask questions about a home warranty and a representative by the name of Jack answered the phone and I was questioning plumbing coverage. He advised me that plumbing was not covered and asked would I be interested in appliance coverage and I told him no and before I could say anything else he hung up on me. I called back to make a complaint with a supervisor and was transferred to a recording. Not a very good customer service staff!

I should have read the fine print, a/c coil went bad so I thought I would be covered. The contract stated coil will not be covered due to rust or corrosion. How else will a coil fail other than rust or corrosion? Save your money and fund your own repairs. Would not deal with this company again, fortunately I only have a 1 year policy. I think you would have better odds of me coming out to repair your appliances than you would choice home warranty. Buyers beware!!!!!

Very very disappointed in the service from choice warranty. Roy came Saturday to fix our AC. He was very cordial and fix the problem. However, we ended up paying him $225.00 because he had to get permission from Choice Warrsnty to replace the part. He emailed and called. After 45min he received no answer. Come to find out, you have no one on the phones on the weekend. What is the point of having technicians come out on weekends if they can’t get the okay to repair the AC.

Horrible customer service! I was told repeatedly for a week that they had authorized payment to fix my AC and they reneged on their promise and said they will send a check, their wholesale cost of a part, for me to buy a part to fix my AC. They kept stringing me along for a week and I still have a broken AC unit (in Tucson, 100+ degrees). Choice Home Warranty LIES, CHEATS ,STEALS, and laughs all the way to the bank with your money! Do not but a warranty from them, you will get screwed!

They are great when selling you the contract but their customer service closes at 5pm eastern and they make you wait in hold for 45 minutes. Their technicians are not reliable and they want to give u pennies on the $ to do a replacement. Ridiculous!

Been paying these people for over 4 years. AC evaporator coils leaking. They said not covered because caused by rust and corrosion. Asked who told them that. They had no answer. Asked if leaks in evap coils are covered. They said yes. In the same breath I was told this type of leak can only be caused by rust and corrosion which is not covered. Refused to provide me with claim form submitted to them by service provider. I would suggest you save $50 a month to cover home repairs. Do not use Choice.

A/C unit went out. We filled a claim and didn't get a timely response. When a technician was located and scheduled I called to confirm the appointment. He told me he wasn't coming as he hadn't been paid for previous jobs from the warranty company. I have to call a repairman my self to get it fixed. After stating they would reimburse me they told me the amount and then sent a email with a amount significantly less. The service is poor and unreliable. Choice is a bad choice for doing business with.

They feed you a line of bull when they are trying to get you to sign up and then it’s the complete opposite when you need to report something and then they say didn’t you read the fine print. this is the worst company!!!!! the customer service has been horrible! they sent out a terrible tech who even forgot to submit paperwork. Then they deny my claim because I havnt maintained my unit! I have proof that I maintained it but I will have to submit that and wait even longer. I told them it was working fine when I took out the contract and had proof they called me a liar . When I ask about canceling the policy they want to keep $100 for admin fees.

Choice decided to replace, not repair. Great except that they are "no longer" in the business of replacing and will send you a check based not on the features, capacity, and efficiency of the appliance as stated in the contract, but the age at their discretion . And then you have to wait 30 days for that said check to be processed, not mailed. That's just one claim. It's been over 30 days for another and their response is parts are on order and talk to the technician and the technician says talk to Choice. Still waiting for a call from a "Director".

I called Choice Home Warranty for a quote. Since I am a senior citizen and in ill health I decided to read some of their reviews. I told the salesman who called the next day that I couldn't sign up with them due to many poor reviews I had read. Since then I have received 3+ phone calls a day for 6 days in a row for a month. I never answered the phone after the second week of phone calls. Still the calls persisted. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH CHOICE HOME - THEY WILL HARASS YOU EVERY DAY WHEN YOU TELL THEM NO!!!!

The company tries to use a lack of maintenance to deny everything. My heat pump quite working and the technician said it was leaking. CHS told me I had to pay out of pocket for the diagnostics. $345 later they refused to fix the head valve, because they said a properly maintained system would not have leaked. It was a mechanical failure. If they were going to deny it, I wish they would have let me know before I paid the dirtball contractor all that money to diagnose it.

i called to have my A/C checked out and they told me it wasn't covered and told me it was in the policy ( it was in nothing I received) this is a really bad company to deal with they tell you what is covered and then refuse to fix, I am canceling my Warranty and would advise anyone else too also. The Worst warranty you can have for your home. They will deny your each and every claim no matter if it is a gas leak, water leak or anything you can think of. The whole reason for buying a home warranty fails with Choice Home Warranty. One can argue all home warranties are same but I had an exceptionally good experience with ABC home warranties for several claims in spite of the negative reviews.

Not happy with the service at all. All three times someone has been to my house it has not been covered. Coils on a HVAC that stay wet was not covered, clogged to a pipe outside my house that connects all the pipes from the inside was not covered and heating element was not covered. I have spent over 4000.00 out of pocket to fix issues. What good is this warranty.
