Paid for the ultimate plan which was their most expensive after purchasing a new home. We had an issue with our ductwork that prevented heat from reaching toddler daughter's bedroom. Technician came out and recommended repair. Claim was denied with reason being "Technician did not recommend repair". I spoke with the technician who said he absolutely recommended a repair. Waited a week for an appeal and spoke with a manager who continued to deny claim. I told the manager "the claim was denied because it said technician did not find repair needed but when I spoke with him he said repair was needed." Manager continued to deny but all of a sudden the reason for denial was "that type of ductwork work is not covered". Paid highest amount of money to buy best plan and then was denied on a repair needed to bring heat to my child's bedroom. Manager was nasty and disrespectful. I will never use their service again and I will tell any friends and family to stay far away from Choice Home Warranty.

Sent terrible plumbing tech Morgan plumbing who was deaf and did not respond to messages.told us yes our shower water lever needed to be replaced.we waited for days for a response from chw and then we contacted you we were told Morgan plumbing replied to you nothing was wrong with system???? How does this even happen .in my opinion Morgan plumbing are totally inept idiots and the person that I talked to chw about unresolved problem only had to say was that claim had been closed ?????? I would like to speak to somebody" a real person in real time about what has transpired here and I would like to have our former plumber plumb rite to be back with us on this unresolved claim. Morgan plumbing is useless.Please let me here from you soon Conrad MacDonald

When I purchased this I was told I was VIP and my claims would be handled with expedition. I had to make several unpleasant calls and felt scripts were read to me. It also took me several times to get response from my rep, who never called me and only communicated through email. Though I am glad that someone finally came out I'm thinking it would not have happened had I not been so diligent in getting a response. I will say that the service people sent to me so far I am very pleased with. Maybe the process for claims can be bettered.

Choice home warranty is a good company with excellent product choices covered. The prices are also very competitive. Unfortunately the service providers in their database for the work are mediocre at best with unprofessional practices. They have been slow to respond and inconsistent in their appointments and work. These are the most important things to the customers and they need much improvement. I hope this changes soon as I have addressed it with many customer service representatives.

I used choice about a month ago because our air conditioner went out and I filed the claim and for the last month I've been waiting on the parts of the from the company to come and replace it. This is the worst company I've ever done business with. They do anything they can to actually get out of paying. They literally went three months where they could not find somebody. I found somebody and got them a map to the house and then choice denied the claim so I was stuck paying for it. They did send me a check for a hundred bucks to try to compensate me for the three hundred dollars I paid out of pocket.

This warranty is a really good deal. I have an issue in my house right now and they have come into my home multiple times and the issue is still not resolved. I am still waiting for the warranty people to take care of it. One of the customer service reps just blatantly lied to me pertaining to a claim that I have going on right now about an AC unit. He said that everything has been authorized and that it was a go and they have people who would be coming in to take care of it. When I called a couple days later because nothing had been done, I found out that everything the first gentlemen said was a lie.

We're currently waiting on two weeks trying to get the first item that we called about fixed. The vendors that they are using are not very reputable. About two weeks ago the microwave stopped working so I called and created a claim. The first company that they set us up with requested for deductible which we paid online and they never showed up so I tried to call them back. They wouldn't answer so I called Choice Home Warranty and they couldn't get an answer either so they set us up with a different company. Today was the day that they were supposed to be out and they never called and didn't show up for their appointments so I tried calling them and asking them what was going on but they won't pick up the phone. This is poor customer service and I am dissatisfied.

With our water heater it took four days to get somebody to come, they were enlisting people who weren't in my area so people were signing up for the job then realizing where I lived so they canceled so I ended up going two weeks without hot water. So I ended up finding my own.

They give me the option to receive a money card to go to Lowes, but it turns out there's an installation price of one hundred twenty five dollars on top of the a hundred ninety one dollars that they provided. I contacted choice about that and they said, no sorry we cannot pay for the installation of the microwave.

I can name quite a few issues that I have experienced over the past few months that have contributed to my disappointment with this company in general. Some of the staff are rude, obnoxious and inconsiderate to the consumer concerns/needs. I was told by a staff after being provided a quote for my out of pocket expense for an AC repair "It is not my problem that you cant afford your out of pocket cost. I am the boss and I am not reviewing this claim any further. I have been assigned to you as your case manager and my decision(s) is final." I felt horrible and from this point on, I lost interest in renewing any contract with this company.

I was told when I signed up that if something could not be repaired it would be replaced. What they didn't tell me was it would be replaced not at the retail price put at the price it would cost them, wholesale, which doesn't do me any good since I can't purchase things wholesale. Now, if they were going to purchase it for m, which is what I assumed they would do, it wouldn't matter. But they give you a gift card to Lowe's in the wholesale purchase amount which takes 20 to 30 days to be issued to you. Then it takes a week or more for Lowe's to deliver the item. I have had trouble with Lowe's previously so I would not have chosen them to order something from and as luck would have it, they not only delivered a damaged stove, the delivery guys had no record the old stove was to be picked up and the new one installed. The whole system is an absolute joke.

We contacted you to help fix the roof ductwork leaking through the microwave and onto our stove. The situation was completed today. We were never told it is not covered by your company, had to pay the service call AND the entire bill. Needless to say we paid $2,362 for the warranty and nobody had the decency to inform us they would not cover this under warranty. Had we known this, we probably would have taken other actions.

Very disappointed this time. Choice couldn't find anyone to service our range, so we had to find someone ourselves. The company we found turned out to be worthless and wouldn't send Choice their prognosis. We called Choice and got a representative who was very hard to understand, and the background noise made it impossible to convey our problem. We then emailed Choice about the situation, but they never did get back with a response.

Don't like how they changed their policy from "REPLACING" appliances to merely giving a small percentage toward a new product. I don't like how replacement cost is at a "WHOLESALE COST" much lower than what I the consumer can find it for! Feels like a bait and switch tactic "We joined CHW with the understanding everything covered would be fixed or replaced for the simple cost of the deductible. Even sending a check for the "base model" would be much more than the lowball checks we've received for our most recent appliances that could not be repaired!! The dishwasher WAS repairable for a cost of over $500, but CHW chose to send us a mere $246 to purchase a new dishwasher. Try to find a scratch and dent for less that $400-500, let alone $246! NOT fair business practice!!!

It was bought by the seller of my home. I started a claim in September and I have been fighting with them about the air conditioning that needs to be repaired. I paid the technician who went back to choice to tell them it was broken and They sent someone to replace and those people never shoed up. I had to pay another service charge and then they wanted me to pay fifteen hundred dollars out of pocket. It won’t work out for me. You can’t talk to a manager unless you refuse a lot. They don’t care if they get bad reviews.

I’m not happy with Choice Warranty. I thought it would be a good plan to cover the house but I tried to use it las month. They were going to cover the cost of the hot water heater but that left the cost of eight hundred and sixty some dollars to pay the plumber. We opted to deny the claim because we could do it ourselves for less. They are good in customer service getting back to me.

They say if they can’t fix something they will give you a buyout. They gave us two hundred and forty six dollars for our stainless steel LG dishwasher. We can’t buy a piece of crap with that. My husband is still very mad about it.

There has been a mixture of positive and negative things. We had our garbage disposal replaced because of leak. It was all taken care of. I have also been frustrated. A couple of months ago I lost electricity and after three weeks I still didn’t have power. I decided to drop it and get it done myself. I had a difficult time.

I used it recently because the hot water heater was leaking and they said it was excluded. I don’t need a home warranty if I am going to have spend money on major things. I think the vendors are okay but I have major problems with the coverage. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

The company is fine, most technicians are experienced and very good, the air conditioning guy was rude and less than helpful. Had to have my adult son come upstairs and the guy became less abrasive.
