It was one of the over the stove installed microwaves that works as an exhaust fan. They were very prompt in getting the service in time. The prior call before this one was regarding a plumbing issue and it took them awhile to find somebody to come out, but I don't have very good phone service in my office.

Some minor things (i.e., bathroom sink faucet) are not covered under the warranty. After 10 years of use, there will be some 'wear & tear'. Also, terrible experience with one of the vendors (All Star Plumbing) regarding a leaky hose on my washing machine (again, after 10 years of use). The technician lied to me about coming back to make the repair that he wrote down as recommended. Not only did he not return, he told the Choice rep that he did his diagnostics and found nothing wrong. .

My refrigerator was acting up and they weren't able to fix it completely in range of the warranty, which I didn't really agree with from what they were advertising and I have other cases where they actually did come out and complete the repair so I have pluses and minuses. As far as timing goes, they respond quickly and get somebody out quickly. I will not extend my warranty because there are too many little things they don't cover that I wasn't aware of.

We've only had one issue that is still pending. It's taking a while based on the fact that they have been waiting on a part for a dishwasher so we're pleased that it was approved but it's taken a couple of weeks. Choice sent out a repairman and he determined the issue and said it would be a couple days. We waited a few days and we got a message finally that they would send dispatch another technician. This is probably the third week and it just seemed like it took a little while longer than we expected.

I read over my contract quickly and I like what I see. We had American Home Shield and we weren't necessarily satisfied with them. We were able to contact them and explain what was necessary faster than we could with American Home Shield. We have the warranty on two properties and on one of the properties, a leak was fixed and it started leaking again but that was the only thing, they came out quickly. Also one plumber did leave a mess, though he did do a good job.

Had it for almost three years but I had an emergency situation with flooding in the bathroom and I waited three and half hours for them to call me back and inform they couldn't come out because the technician hurt his back and couldn't carry the equipment so I had to call another plumbing company and when I talked to choice they said I could submit the invoice for the cost of the service and I did and I heard nothing so called them and they only reimbursed me a hundred and thirty five dollars of the two hundred and ninety seven dollar invoice. They didn't help me, they made the situation worse and they are not interested in helping me only in covering themselves.

I've had good experiences and some poor experiences. The people have been relatively courteous but they don't sometimes agree with things that should be covered. I feel like they look for reasons not to cover things but I guess they're a business that needs to make a profit. I thought having choice would be helpful for me to have some sort of protection but I am not quite happy with the services. My AC unit was acting up and they told me it was under coverage and gave me three hundred and fifty dollars to repair it or replace it and it cost me close to three thousand dollars to repair and that was very disappointing. There have been other times when I call them over to fix something and they fix it and two months later I have to call them back. It's not quality work. I wish it were a bit more transparent with the coverage. I'd rather just pay a personal contractor the money by myself and handle it myself.

They've been good to work with as far as getting things schedules in a timely fashion and the first coming out but the results are not always as good as I would have expected in terms of things actually getting fixed and having things covered under the warranty. My last service was not as good as I expected, that might have been because of the vendor, but it took three weeks to figure what the problem was and the problem was just a five minute problem. If the vendor would have been the right person with the right expertise it could have been fixed in the first visit. I don't completely blame choice and they do make it easy to track.

I put in a claim yesterday regarding my A/C not working, the first problem that I encountered was the fact that the loss occurred on a Friday and the appointment was set for the upcoming Tuesday. I did call Choice and talked to Rebecca and she was able to contact the vendor and arranged for the appointment to be today (Saturday). The vendor called me and we set the appt for today between 8 and 11. He does the diagnosis and reports it to Choice and then the bad news arrives. The claim has been denied due to a chemical reaction within the sealed refrigerant system that caused corrosion and a pinhole leak, (This is a common problem in closed systems) This makes the 2nd time that Choice has denied me repairs due to them not covering a refrigerant system issue, the firs was on my refrigerant. Same issue contaminated refrigerant. So now this is going to cost me almost $600.00 out of my pocket because it is not considered a covered loss. SO MY QUESTION IS HOW MANY OTHER FAILURES WILL BE DENIED BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT COVERED. This is after I bought a 3 year coverage package. So Choice, these 2 losses alone will have cost me over $1000.00 and neither were caused by me. they were failures within the system, is this the way that Choice will handle all other upcoming claims. If I have one more claim that is denied I will request a refund and look else where for a TRUE warranty resolution company that takes care of it's policy holders. By the way Rebecca was fantastic in expediting the inspection of the A/C problem. You have an excellent employee there.

My dryer is over 20 years old and is in need of frequent repairs. So often we call for a repairman and it will be weeks before we can get on his schedule, When he does come he discovers he needs parts that will take a few more weeks, In the meantime, we are inconvenienced by not having a dryer for some time. So this time we made a request for a repair and we were given an appointment for two weeks. In our frustration we decided to cancel and since Choice Home Warranty is reluctant to replace this old dryer till it is dead, we decided to buy a replacement.
