I went with them since I didn't know any other company that I could use. I mean, they're a good company, but their equipment and customer service could be improved. The customer support can be good or bad. There are some representatives that are very knowledgeable and others that are just there for the job, you know. They don't seem to care much about the customer. The app that you use to check on things doesn't work correctly sometimes. I can't get some parts of the video at times, and if the weather is bad that also affects it. Because of that you really can't have a proper full vision of what's going on around the house. When there's something that needs fixing, it might take them a long time to send someone out there to do it. Even trying to fix it yourself doesn't really work. I think overall they need better communication and products. I've gotten a lot of mixed messages about what to do with parts of the equipment and that's very confusing. They all need to be on the same page.

SafeStreets was offered to me as an option when I was connecting my electrical service. I was familiar with ADT already since I had the system when I lived in New York. SafeStreets was the provider here in Georgia, so I didn't really have a choice as far as that went. What I didn't like about ADT, and I knew this before moving, was that they're not available 24hrs a day. When it comes to a home security system and service, that's just something that bothers me. Security is not just a 9-5 thing. There were occasions when I would have an issue and I couldn't contact them until the next business day. That meant I'd have to wait up to 2 more days with whatever problem came up. I've also had situations when I've called several times to try and speak to a supervisor, but I never got a call back about that. They are supposed to call you back within 24-48 hours, but I never received any. Actually, I found out that since my service had a lot of hiccups from the moment I started, they actually didn't give me any priority or attention. I was paying over $1000 for the service and they were just not giving me the service. I would get no call backs or any help in rectifying any situation. I had to keep calling and calling until someone responded. The equipment I got had faulty false alarms, in part because of the way it was all set up. The technician that did it all did not seem particularly knowledgeable about how to install the equipment. It just feels like they don't respond well to customers and don't even consider the situation. I mean, I was also promised a gift card at the time, and I never really received it or got anything from that. They just don't seem to care at all whether or not your situation is resolved or if you actually have the service. If I had to choose again, I wouldn't pick it.

I had problems being broken into, so I went ahead and got the security system. It doesn't really do what it's supposed to do. The equipment doesn't record motion and then it'll start saying that this thing went off or that alarm went off and go on like that. Sometimes I'll come when that's happening but the police is not even called or anything. Their customer support hasn't done what it's supposed to do. I mean, they might be really nice but they don't do what they're supposed to do. I'm not really satisfied with it. The technician should be out here, probably in the next week, to see if they can get the bugs out. If things don't get fixed, I'll just cancel the contract and get rid of it. I've probably tried to fix it some 4 or 5 times already so I'm done. It just doesn't do me any good.

I saw them advertised and decided to get it. I haven't had much interaction with customer support since I'm a fairly new customer but they seem alright. With the equipment, the panic button is very very sensitive. I actually haven't used it since it made the police come out to the house and that's not what I wanted at the time.

Great service but had changes to install that were not covered when I called to set up installation in a pre wired house. I was told it would just be a panel change based on the security system i already had installed. $800 later, new system was installed.

The technician that came out to install the system was very informative and knew what he was talking about. The equipment itself is fine, though the screen pad sometimes doesn't pick up when you touch it. You've got to press really hard to make it respond.

We've had the service for a little less than a month. So far everything seems to be working fine. We've had an issue with a door that keeps opening on its own and setting off the alarm, but I think that's just the door. Other than that, I'd have to say the service is a little expensive.

They seem very responsive whenever I have questions. My only complain is that my ring doesn't always pick up some of the functions. There is a little confusion since I just think of them as ADT, so when SafeStreet calls it's a bit odd.

DON'T BOTHER GETTING ADT SERVICE. i was going to change my security service to a different company; however an ADT representative from their Cancellation Department called and asked why I was discontinuing service. When I explained the new company I had chosen had much better service, better cameras and a lower monthly fee, the representative said he could match what I wanted and offered me the same deal on my monthly bill as the other company had and also give me an upgrade on my current service/equipment at no cost. It seemed reasonable and, unfortunately, I presumed the representative was honest in his offer as ADT was reportedly a reputable company. On the day the tech arrived to install the service upgrade, I ended up paying an "upgrade" charge for the new and supposedly "improved" equipment and signed a new 2-year contract. The 2-year contract, I was aware of but that was the only thing the Cancellation Department representative was forthcoming about even after I had questioned him several times about any additional costs that were applicable. Regardless of the offer made, I am now stuck with dealing with ADT's outmoded equipment, policy and deceptive representatives. All this came to the forefront because I recently had a problem with ADT equipment. When I called ADT, I was told that the problem required a repairman to come to the house to fix the situation and it would cost over $100 plus "X" amount of dollars per 15 minutes When I asked why there would be a charge as there previously never was a charge involved with any problem with the system, I was informed that I had cancelled my ADT in-home repair plan whereupon I told her I had not cancelled the plan. Then she changed the reason to the fact that because I had received a lower monthly rate, the repair plan had been cancelled, (Before the upgrade, I had a repair plan, which was included in the installation fee, but I had also been unknowingly paying $7 per month for that plan from initial installation.) The representative said I could still opt to get the in-home repair plan now but would have to buy the plan again for over $100 and still pay an additional $7 per month to have this service plan reinstated. However, the current problem I am experiencing wouldn't be covered and would still cost me over $100 to have it fixed via an in-home service repair even if I signed up for the "plan" today! When I asked if I could speak with a person at a higherADT level to discuss my situation, I was told that it was not possible. - there wasn't any phone number or person to contact that would be available regarding my complaint about misrepresentation and nondisclosure of reduced services, which was applicable to my current contract. The ADT transmitter in my house is inoperative and, in my opinion, it's possibly defective because of its age. However, I am no longer on their repair plan, which was discretely dissolved when my monthly payment was lowered, and unless I spend additional money to reinstate via a "repair plan", I cannot even contact ADT via the installed voice panel if an emergency occurs. So now, ADT no longer monitors my house for break-ins, fire, other serious problems,, etc. , especially if the police are needed and all because of their equipment failure. However, I still have to pay their monthly fee for services I am not getting. This situation occurred because ADT INITIALLY FAILED to give me important, up-front information about dissolution of the "repair plan" so I could make an informed decision about their offer to upgrade and lower my monthly rate in lieu of going with another company's security service. My advice is.......DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ADT.......ESSENTIALLY, ADT DOES NOT HAVE UP-TO-DATE EQUIPMENT COMPARED TO THE EQUIPMENT OTHER COMPANIES OFFER AND ADT POLICIES ARE NOT OPENLY OR CLEARLY IDENTIFIED . As often said, "Buyer Beware"

I was an ADT customer beforehand so I just stuck with them. Customer support has been nice so far though I haven't had to call them much. Still, the technician that came out was very professional and covered things very thoroughly. If I had any questions he answered them very well. I was very pleased with it all. The equipment itself is exactly what it is supposed to be and it performs the way it should. I haven't had any problems so far. Their price is very competitive too. Overall I'm paying about the same as I would with different companies judging from conversations I've had with other people.

I wanted to go wireless since I had a hard wired system. Some young man was going door to door with that service and I wound up switching systems. I liked the different options they offer for alarms and such. For instance, you get an alarm that tells you when your house alarm is armed or if the system gets disarmed. It's also very easy to use the keypad. It's all pretty user friendly. I know that it's a good system, it's all working so far. I feel better knowing that it's installed in the house. I do wish the price was a little lower but I'm glad that I transferred to this system. I've been very happy with it.

Jean arrived and explained the plan and various options we could include in addition to what we had discussed with a phone representative. He did a walk around inside and out and made suggestions as to what would be most beneficial to us. He brought in, set up and labeled the additional equipment he was suggesting. He explained what each piece would do and also provided us with a cost. Upon accepting the original proposal with the additional equipment Jean installed all parts and communicated with ADT to ensure their knowledge of all equipment. After the completion of all work including apps for the cell phones and internet account, Jean very clearly explained, demonstrated and had us use the keypad, key fobs, apps and internet account. We were very pleased with the time and thoroughness Jean took to make sure we understood what we were purchasing and how to use it. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone for Jean to install an ADT home security system. ADT should be honored to have employees like Jean M.

I got the system in an effort to protect my home. But when they called me, they didn't really give me all the information that I was suppose to get. You see, I was supposed to get a hundred dollar credit, but they never told me that I was supposed to send something in. All they told me I had to do was redeem it from an email. When I tried to get it, they said it was too late for me to do that, that I should've done it within 30 days. I was waiting for a callback from them, but they said it was my fault for not following through. I tried to talk somebody else, but the person wouldn't transfer me or give me another number to call. So I tried to go ahead and break the contract.

I have an ADT alarm system with 2 cameras, glass breakage for the basement, sensors on all first floor doors and windows as well as motion and fire alarms. It has been installed for about 18 months. The system has always worked great and when an unlatched door to the garage blew open we received a text right away and were able to respond by phone remotely. Our camera was accessible by cell phone app and we determined no one had approached the door it was only wind. The only problem I had with safe streets is last month I received an email that my fees were going up. I called and told them my contract has a set price and raising my fees voids the contract per the contract. I was then informed my rates would remain the same for the remainder of the contract. Had I not called I would have paid about $4 a month mor for 18 months.

I saw a promotion for it that came with my newspaper so I decided to get it. I'm really happy with the person that installed the system for me. He had a great attitude and I appreciated him a lot. I hope he gets recognition for his good work. So far it has done everything I want it to do. The person that I spoke to in the beginning was very knowledgeable about the product. They have surpassed my expectations. The contractor that came out to install the system did a good job explaining everything and demonstrating how to use everything. The equipment is easy to use and reliable. It does what it's supposed to do and I'm satisfied with it. I had a little bit of a hiccup with something I was supposed to get but when I figured out what I needed to do it was all resolved. I got it since they seemed like a reputable company and I thought it would be a good home protection service. I had a great experience with the person that sold me the service and with the installation person too. Still, there was an issue with one of the bulkiest pieces of equipment. It was faulty and I never got a call back about that. It took me several tries to get someone to help me with that issue. There have also been some instances where the alarm goes off on its own. On one of those occasions I was actually out of town so they sent the police. I was actually supposed to get a call on my cellphone before they dispatched them, but they didn't do that.

ADT customer service is a joke. I live in North West Oregon. When the light to indicate a battery needed changing I was told it was the garage door and they would send be the battery and how to change instructions. The battery they sent was not the garage door battery nor was the garage door the battery that needed changing. It took seven calls to get the right battery for the right door sensor. I had to change the battery myself or pay $107. for someone to come and do it for me. The company I was with in Southern Oregon before moving here would come to the house free of charge and take care of the system. Unfortunately they do service this far North.

For starters! The rep. came to the door and asked if we had the newest alarm model. He then said that Vivint (who we were through) was there brother company, And that our contract was up with them so he would like to give us a security camera for the front door , and street for free for being a loyal customer. We of course agreed since my husband wanted a camera for a while no. He said he would cancel our Vivint account for us as well ( no worries ma'am). So they installed everything, And signing was a little weird, ( I signed an I-Pad, No paperwork) . So the forst of the month rolls around , And I notice that I am being charged still from Vivint, then a week later, ADT. I called both companies and got no where :/.. I finally got sent to a vivint customer care person who told me that we still are under there contract until 2020 . SO NOW! I am being charges=d for noth , And can't get anyone to work with me on this. Vivint told me to cancel all payment from bank for ADT, And send a registered letter to them (who has that kind of money) UUUGH! I talked to ADT safestreets again and they said that someone would contact me ASAP, I have heard nothing since :(.. DO I call again, And be all day on the phone trying to explain all of this again? I am disabled, my brain does not work well under stress. Sorry for the rant.
