I purchased the Ring Doorbell late last year. I really love the doorbell and have had no issues with the device. We had to purchase the ring yearly service to get the most out of the device. I was hoping to only use the device without a paid service. Overall, I am very happy with our purchase and would purchase additional ring devices for our home.

The Ring Doorbell has been a mixed bag of convenience and frustration for me. On one hand, the peace of mind it offers with its security features is undeniable. Monitoring my front door from anywhere using the app is a game-changer in today's world. However, the device is not without its flaws. The most notable issue I've encountered is the need to reset the doorbell more often than I'd like. This recurring task can be quite frustrating, especially when the system goes offline unexpectedly. It disrupts the seamless experience I expected and requires a manual fix to get it back up and running. While the video quality and motion detection features work well, the reliability of the device's connectivity is something that could see improvement. Customer service has been helpful when contacted, but the frequency of these resets shouldn't be overlooked. In conclusion, the Ring Doorbell offers a solid range of features for home security, but the occasional need for resetting the device can be a nuisance. It's a good product overall, but there's room for improvement in terms of stability and user experience.

I love love love my ring camera! Super easy to use and maintain through the app. I like that I can change my ringtone and greeting. I also like that I can add new cameras and choose my notification alerts and the distance my notifications will go off. No wiring required, I used heavy duty 3M velcro strips and even through large storms my camera doesn't move.

I love Ring! Ring is a part of my daily life. I find myself on my app, watching camera footage of my home, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day! I feel safe in my home knowing that Ring has my back!My Ring doorbell is the best! I can communicate with people at my front door, while I'm at work if need be. I love the app, the quality of the footage and that I have multiple (6) camera's added to my app. I also love that I can talk to my dog through the camera if I catch her doing something naught. Freaks her out everytime. Ha! Ha! Thanks, Ring! I highly recommened anyone to have these camera's.

I love my ring. Ring is amazing. I have tried multiple security apps and systems and so far ring is still the best one. My only complaint is that after I inherited my uncles house I couldn’t transfer his 1 ring doorbell camera. I had left it on his account because I had access from his phone via wifi. What I forgot about was updating the 2 party authentication on his account before disconnecting his phone. So even though I’m executor and have the death certificate, phone, and his camera is shared to my phone and all 5 of my cameras share the same address as his but under my account I still have to disconnect the doorbell and wait 15 days for it to transfer to me. Yup the only huge drawback. There’s no getting around the 2 step authentication. It’s required on all accounts. The cameras themselves are really amazing and ever since a recent update you can use indoor cameras through windows and have them work at night which helped a lot because it provides security to a side of my house with no place to put a camera.

I absolutely love my ring, doorbell system, and home cameras. I am a single mother that works night shift and my kids are home by themselves because of my ring doorbell. I can feel secure that I can check in on my home while my teenagers are asleep and I am at work. I also have cameras inside of my home as well, although sometimes I may lose service for a brief minute or so I still very much enjoy the convenience of being able to check in on my home when I’m not there or to see if someone is at my door while I may be in the shower, or doing some thing that I cannot get to the door I live in a highly wooded area, which sometimes causes connectivity issues with my Wi-Fi about a month ago I bought a ring chime to add to my living room so that I can get a stronger signal through my Wi-Fi. I no longer have issues with connectivity. Although it can get pricey buying their systems piece by piece, I love the fact that I am not tied into a contract, and that the equipment is mine and can be used without ring services. I will most definitely buy more products to add to my home security system.

I installed Ring several years ago at my remote farm. I also had FrontPoint. Frontpoint will call the cops if break in occurs, Ring shows me who it at my doors. I can talk to someone who rings the doorbell, but the delay is ten seconds or more, and I rely on the video most of the time. I like Front Point (expensive) and Ring(cheap). Last year I installed Ring at my son's home, and a second Ring video and light in his carport and a third at his back door. It costs $100 a year to have all three cameras recording whenever someone comes near the house. My son recently had someone break a window and we recorded the person in the act and later sent the video by iphone to the police. I like Ring because I can put the cameras anywhere. The rechargeable batteries last three weeks in the back where the light comes on a lot. The front doorbell battery lasts 3-4 months before I need to recharge it. I love Ring because it works on my iphone.

Our kids purchased a Ring for us four years ago. We easily mounted and adjusted the Ring wirelessly at our front door. I then purchased a second rechargeable battery. WE LOVE OUR RING! It notifies us anytime anyone is remotely near our front door. For only $39.99 annually, we are able to speak with whomever approaches the Ring. We definitely feel so much safer knowing we can monitor our home when we are away and even when we are there. Many times we have been in town and our Ring has notified us of package delivery or a neighbor or friend dropping by to which we’ve been able to tell our friend or neighbor when we will return home or we’ve been able to thank the delivery person. Ring updates with new features as time goes on. We get neighborhood alerts and weather alerts as well as our home being monitored. We would highly recommend that anyone invest $100 in a Ring home security system. It is well worth every penny for peace of mind. And we would recommend the spending of $39.99 annually to be able to use the special features.

NOT DOE BUSINESS OWNERS. We bought the system for a small business after talking to customer service and they insisted they were capable of handling all of our needs. Fast-forward eight indoor cameras, three outdoor cameras, installation fees, electrician cost for hard wiring Once that was complete, the drama began. First and foremost, Ring allows you to give employees access to have their own login have their own passcode for the keypad my employees & most important my general manger, partner or anyone else can not contact them to troubleshoot the system or deal with any issues. Only one account owner and the buck stops there. So I’m out of the country and there is an issue where my alarm is going off and I have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it taken care of. Literally will not talk to the very people I have given access to the system and that they have verified by having me send them an email from my account inviting them. But that isn’t all. We had to buy motion detectors to go at each camera. Because the cameras that detect and record motion will not alarm the system when we are in away mode. They didn’t tell me this. They made it sound like the service would detect an issue and call for emergency but never explained that the one motion detector would have to pick up the bad guy. Not the 11 cameras. So if bad guy doesn’t tho past that motion detector or doesn’t open a window or door to come in the camera will just record them and not alarm anyone. Oh wait it will send me a notice. But if I’m asleep what good is a notification? It’s a long ugly story, but the truth is Ring is not capable of supporting a small business. They failing comparison to the SimpliSafe system with the devices and professional monitoring.

Seems like everyone has a Ring system by now, or at the very least have at least 1 neighbor with it. They are very helpful in keeping you in top of what's going on around you and your family. The sound is clear, the range is great, and the customer service is the best. They help you through every single part of it seamlessly and without any confusion or anything left I didn't understand. Will definitely keep using ring. Love them!

The Ring Security System was easy to set up, it also gives u piece of mind while away from ur home. I had the whole System set up in a matter of minutes. Its as easy as one, two, three. The monthly cost to have professional monitoring is also very low to have that peace of mind while away. The System is easy to operate, its very self explanatory and doesn't take a lot of know how to operate. They offer a lot of addons for u to custom build the system to ur likings. I would definitely recommend to all my friends and relatives.

I really like Ring and am buying another one for my elderly father. I honestly thought my camera/doorbell would be stolen, but there have been no problems in the 4 years that i have had it. It is installed in a business. It is easy to search and find events and the sound and video are very good. The price was very affordable. I do recommend getting the second battery though. I also bought one for a friend that was being stalked so they could document it. I definitely recommend the Ring! I can't rate the customer service since I never needed/used it.

I bought the home security system with door/window sensors and a motion detection device. Setup to my home Wi-Fi was quick and easy. The app walks you through it step by step and allows you to customize the names of each sensor. We like that we can set and disarm the alarm from the app, and see which sensor was triggered if any. After you purchase the equipment you just have to pay for monitoring and typically there’s a fee to your local police department also. You can also add additional accessories to your setup. I will definitely be upgrading my system to include indoor and outdoor cameras, doorbell, and possibly more door/window sensors.

I integrated Ring cameras to an existing monitored security system with another company. When 5G technology made my security system obsolete I decided to consider the Ring home security. Already had the cameras so I merely installed the Ring security system and customized it to give me coverage throughout my home and was not limited like most professionally installed systems to a preconfigured design. Installation was easy and I took my time and completed everything in two days. The system was fully operational and has been worked perfectly for 6 months now. My monitoring fee is $100 annually and I save $550 each year in fees compared to my former company’s rates. I am pleased and I personally manage as well as maintain my own system through the Ring app on all my devices.

Very affordable plan when you buy your own kit and install it yourself. This is especially useful if you have a ring cameras. With the security plan you get an extended access to the video recordings, cameras get automatic lifetime warranty. Security system wise it is easy to use, you just tell your alexa that you are leaving and it activates the security system and itself starts to listen to an unexpected sounds like glass breaks or people talking. Its all integrated. When something happens and the alarm goes off, the monitoring center calls you first to check if a there is a need to dispatch police officers. Overall, I am happy with it.

When they first came out I honestly thought this can't work too good, it'd stuck in one spot, at a door but boy was I wrong! Ring is probably the best security investment we ever made the camera quality alone is out of this world, the notifications are quick, they come out with new technology cameras all the time (we now have 3 of their cameras and 2 doorbell cams) their neighbors app is another genius idea..Any problems bif, small, crime, or missing animal..you can go on there and report it, watch videos of attempted break-ins, descriptions, stolen items, missing animals etc.. Who doesn't love ring? I say they are #1 and look forward to security future with them!

The equipment is like you would expect and the app works okay. Customer service is terrible, and what is even worse, is if you buy a house with existing Ring equipment or sell your house with Ring equipment. Unlike other security equipment, each time you buy/sell a house with Ring equipment, you have to do a completely new install/setup which includes a 15-day waiting period for the prior owner to relinquish the equipment. Customer is terrible and unwilling to help. I've called four times and get a different story and a lack of willingness to help. Do not recommend unless you plan to take your equipment with you.

This is a great product. It has different options for entering your house, such as a code, and or fingerprint, etc. My only issue is the battery situation. Of course, that's our responsibility to make sure the batteries, good, but with a regular locking key you don't have to worry about that. Although I would say I would prefer the ring system to a regular locking key. I enjoy the product.

She doesn't like staying home alone, but this helps her because we all have access to the cameras and get notifications when someone is at the door, and we are able to check and see who it is. It connects to her Alexa, so she is able to see it from the comfort of her favorite chair before getting up to go to the door. Love being able to see who's at the door. The interactive app allows you to speak with someone who approaches. You can set the motion sensitivity to pick up the slightest movements. The app allows you to seamlessly add more devices and monitor them all from one screen. The doorbell camera was easy to install with basic tools. The out door motion lights can also be done with limited electrical knowledge. The instructions are easy to read and break down the process in simple steps.

We purchased the ring for our front door and a portable unit when my husband started traveling for his work for security purposes. It’s unfortunate that the portable one does not record unless we pay an extra fee, which was not really clear when we bought it. The quality of the video on the front door is very good. But there is a bit of a delay for it to go off on my phone. Maybe it’s because I am not the primary account holder? Or the fact that my husband said it up on his phone first

Customer service is friendly, top notch, and knows their stuff. Products are great quality, and the monitoring services are cheap.

Used them for about 2 years now and still going strong. I shopped with several local and large company and this was the most cost effective to have a good security system, cameras, night vision, 2 way audio, motion sensors + records, customizable, etc... Other than changing batteries once a year (or less if an area is not used often) this is a very low maintenance system. This is an Amazon company, so to get best deal buy during Prime Day or Black Friday. Initial set up took a bit but well worth it!

Ring is hands down the most affordable yet reliable home security companies out there! Apart from the initial product fee (199+) to buy Ring, you will spend 0$ (!) a month to protect and watch over your home for the starter kit! That’s free home security forever for as little as 200$. There are options for professional home monitoring as well, yet the Ring starter kit is easy to install as a doorbell camera and other outside cameras that detect motion, then pinging your phone to alert you to someone’s presence near your house. The only perceivable downside to Ring’s alerts on your phone for me are that 1) Ring is very reliable but can detect motion for animals and cats even if they are just driving by, and 2) Ring alerts you thru notifications (and loud alerts if you have them turned on) seemingly every few seconds… wish there was a way to specify what type of motion you want to be notified for. Other than that, very pleased with Ring and would definitely recommend!!

The Ring system is easy to install and provides the capability to build the level of security that you like in stages. I removed a prior wired system, but used the existing wires to provide power to ring key pad. That was the preferred solution to installing an unsightly plug. Once installed I enjoy the ability to remotely check on the system and since this is tied into a Ring doorbell the security system is seamless.

I like you are the one doing the monitoring. Ring gives you an alarm when the motion sensor is tripped and you can view what is happening. If action is needed, like call police, you do that. If ti is just a bear, you can ignore it or watch the show. The reason I did not give them 5 stars is Ring, which is part of Amazon, just changed the way they do 2FA. Previously, they would email you, but they have discontinued that option. Now they want to text you or have you use an authenticator app. Except when I am on the road, I access the Ring devices using either a PC or one of the 3 Kindle Fire tablets I have. Bigger screens, on the same network and no data charges. None of these does texting and I do not want to have to find my phone every time I want to access the Ring devices. The Kindle Fires are set up to use the Kindle App Store, which is very secure, but has no authenicator apps. You would think, because Amazon sold the Ring devices as being Alexa compatible using any Alexa device, before they changed the 2FA method, they would make sure the new method would work with any Alexa device. Nope! And what was wrong with email, anyway?

I don't know how in the world this company gets such high rankings when the product is so awful in actual use. I have nine Ring cameras around the exterior of the house. Of the nine, six are battery powered, and three are floodlight cameras, hardwired. I have a very expensive mesh WiFi network with four satellites in a 7,000 square foot house, this WiFi is the latest and greatest, and good signal both inside and outside the house, and I'm on 1G service both up and down. In all cases, the video is frequently not recorded at all, recorded so badly it's useless, or the image quality typically makes anything unrecognizable. Even the motion sensors often don't pick up something as big as a car coming and going and the system is completely and utterly unreliable and is nothing more than an expensive toy. I've pulled out of my garage, driven up my driveway in front of three of the cameras and not a single one recorded anything. Nothing! This is not a substitute for an actual alarm system and you're going to get a usable video only about 20-30% of the time. I've tried different sensitivities, every setting they have and it's still terrible. It's on the border of completely useless. I would say that their monitoring service is at the very bottom of the barrel and I suspect the problem is that Ring tries to save data and I believe it's their network that's at fault. I'd stay away from this product if you're at all serious about monitoring your house.
