I had a great experience with the sales representative Mike of Guardian Alarm Security who took a lot of time to explain the different options and wasn't "pushy"at all. The technician Justin was not only very efficient but very professional and informative. He answered all our pertinent questions in depth. Further he was amazing in the fact that he left his personal service number by telling us if there are any difficulties in the security system function to call him immediately and true to his word a problem did occur and he returned our call as soon as it was possible. This is an unsolicited advice but if you are dissatisfied with your current home security system provider or are looking for one, consider Guardian Alarm Home Security for the reasons stated above.

They have been great since day one (have had this service for several years now). They have called when the smoke alarm went off (bad cooking in the kitchen) and when the front door did not close and opened when I was away. They called me on my land line, my cell phone and then my emergency contact. They have been great to deal with...and I have not had any problems. I would recommend them.

Excellent service and very fast response time. Everything was amazing from Sales appointment to my install. My salesperson followed up the following day after my system was install and even personally delivered more yard signs and stickers to me when I needed them.

We have been using Guardian Alarm Services Co. for 5 years in this home. Prior to moving in this new home, we also had Guardian as our security, alarm service in our previous home for 11 years . There was to be no question for us to stick w/ Guardian when we moved in.. They are very responsive to any situation, including when a mistaken alarm tripped by us or when we do a periodical test. The same professional, knowledgeable and friendly service tech did the installation in both of our homes. We couldn't be more comfortable and satisfied using Guardian's services.

Hard sell to avoid cancelling service that was not under contract. As a result my recently widowed forgetful elderly friend wound up signing a one year service agreement. When I found out about this she tried to cancel. They give only three days to cancel. The date of new service started on June 1. She called on June 3. They refused to agree to cancel since she had signed the contract early May. They offered to reduce monthly fee by $10 if she stopped video monitoring (that she doesn’t have set up). She is paying about 50% more than I am with Guardian Alarm. My home is twice the size. Talk about taking advantage of an elderly, mourning African-American. Once my contract expires I am cancelling my service and have already spoke with several friends who will do so, as well.

We have been Guardian Alarm customers for many years after they took over ownership from Cincinnati Bell but we hardly heard a peep from them until last year when they sent us a letter saying we qualified for an upgrade to our system and would be able to get special pricing. We called, the salesperson came and pitched a system with upgraded features but not only was the up front cost $500 to $1,000 but our monthly rate would double. After getting a couple of more estimates we decided to to go with a different provider that was half the monthly cost of Guardian. I called to cancel our service in the Sept/October 2018 time frame and told them we we're switching but they kept trying to send me to a retention specialist. I finally just sent them a cancellation notice through their website message/question board explaining that I was not happy and terminating my service. I never did hear back from them. Come 2019 and I find they are still billing my credit card for a monthly fee. On January 11th I call them to complain, cancel service and ask for a credit but once again customer service says they cannot cancel without having me talk to a retention specialist so after waiting on hold for about 25 minutes they tell me they are busy and will call me back so I leave my information. No one calls me back until two and a half weeks later upon which I explain everything again and they finally agree to cancel my service but will not give me back credit for any prior billed months because they did not have a record of my calling in the Fall of 2018. They said only their billing department could give a credit so they transfer me to them but they were not authorized to give any credit either and told me I was still being charged because I had to give them a thirty day notice to cancel. A credit back to the original time I called and notified them would have been less than $100 but instead I now have to write a negative review and get in touch with the Better Business Bureau. Lousy customer service led to this and I would now never recommend them to anyone.

first it took 3 week to get it installed then less than 1 month the sensor to the gararge door does not work you call for help they say we will work on it 5 phone call later your then told no one can come out for three weeks so you are just screwed butt you still have to pay next door house has same problem they will tell you we will be out then they cansel look around better than i did before you choose

I have had them for over 20 years (including their predecessor, Barco Security) and was quite satisfied with them, however over the past 3 or 4 years they have been quite tardy. They have not responded to alarms, to both smoke and door/windows opening accidentally. I have tried to discuss with them, but the response has been negative. I am reviewing various systems to see which one to switch to. ROO, Canton OH

for 20 years (since 1997) we have used (and continue to do so) Guardian Alarm and have no negatives during that time, including the initial installation.

it is a big mistake i switched to guardian alarm from day one the sales man gave me false info i found out after they install the system then i was stuck with there contract i was with ADT FOR over 23 years no problem i made a mistake while paying my bill through bill pay bank of america i paid $9,600.00 instead of $96.00 i have been waiting over 2 weeks to get my money back i dont have my money yet the manger never answer the phone or return my call back
