They are lucky to get a 1 from me. Had Vivant installed in June and have had nothing but problems!! I have had tech people out about 6 times to fix the cameras that were always off line, fire alarms never worked, garage door opener never worked, Finally the company had to remove the faulty equipment because they never worked, now I am paying 39.99 a month well, I am not sure?? since I have hardly any equipment, I guess its for my doors to stay locked!! What a rip!!

This company Vivint is soooooo F.O.S. all the customer services call center reps aren't even out of elementary school and we are giving them permission to take payments from customers. They tend to F up the situations by putting you on automatic payment pulls from your personal accounts without your permission and overcharge you when they are the ones that make the mistakes to which they don't want to admit that they made the mistakes and you end up paying for it anyway.

They are no much more than peddlers, going door to door, hoping to take advantage of the unsuspecting. Offer a $10.00 rate reduction to someone no longer under contact might sound like a good idea. But, it includes a 5-year contact, which they slip in on you. Thge only way to cancel is to pay off the full amount. Technology is galloping ahead and in 5 years, my system will be obsolete. It already is. Hopefully, they will go out of business. This is not a company that you want to deal with.

When our system malfunctioned it took Vivint "6 MONTHS" to send a tech. I explained we need working security as I take care of my disabled mom and my son is disabled as well "we need medical call buttons working" We found where someone had been hiding under a tree watching the home "I have a daycare" All these good reasons to have a working system. They billed us each month for a service that was not working. The operators were even frustrated that nobody was fixing things. A very sad service I would suggest everyone search elsewhere for a security service.

These LIES started when my doorbell rang to begin with, and kept going until the co-called salesman drove away, the tech rep did not say much ,but he was there in less than 5 min. after the first LIE teller left . NOTHING worked as I was told that it would. LIES, LIES, LIES, LIES.

Worst customer service. Need to cancel service due to never using system and I am overextended every month. Why pay for something I don't use? Company has never upgraded any equipment over the 4 years that I have had and had to remove the Vivint thermostat since it screwed up my heat pump. Would never want to curse even my worst enemy with this company. Lady I talked with today said I could do referrals to pay for the rest of the contract. Why would I want to do that to someone else? Scam them like this company does. NO THANKS Should have never signed up with them in the first place.

As a subscriber and current user of Vivint I am waiting on my contract to come to term . I was mislead as to what the system would do and uninformed as to the Wi-Fi band width necessary to operate the system properly. I am contemplating breaking contract as it would be cheaper than paying a monthly rate that does little more than allow me to lock and unlock my front door. Mislead by an eager young salesman wanting only to line his pockets and not caring about the actual safety of the individuals he is scamming. Home security??

This service is about as low as you can get in security have the time the cameras are down you cant lock your doors with your phone . I have had this a little over a year and just as soon as the contract is up it"s going in the garbage where it belongs . So look for something else or buy your own and install it. last but not least THE SERVICE STINKS.

worst of all, the company consistently misrepresents itself by not fully disclosing length of contract and ability to get out of said contract. In addition, the company (illegally) puts system in the "credit reference's name, without the knowledge of the credit reference, nor the owner. Now someone who is just giving a favorable reference for someone, is now on the hook for contractual obligation. I'm totally unaware of any plans that are less than $49/mos.

Customer services is horrible! All they care about is money. Our system hasn't worked for over 6 months now and when we try to get someone to come out and look it they won't send anyone. They just want us to keeping paying. I've even tried the online customer service and have had no response from them either. I wouldn't recommend this company and I will be terminating my services ASAP! STAY AWAY!!!!

Was charged full price for camera, $400.78, it was to be monthly bill out at $5.00. They charged my account, caused over draft, has taken 4 calls to get this resolved. Now 4 days later still waiting my money return. The e-mail for e-signature has to date not arrived for adding the extra camera. They don't know why. As soon as I get my money back. I will cancel the contract and have them get back in to take their equipment out.

I had a salesman almost force his way into my house. A year or so later they came back. I don't know how I let them talk me into it. Shortly after it was installed it started acting up. They want $49.00 to come to fix something that never worked. I told them if I paid them $49.00 it would be to take it out. IT NEVER HAS WORKED RIGHT. Last time two of their devices failed. I told them I wasn't going to pay them to fix it. They told me they would waive the $49.00 charge then added to my bill anyway. DON'T BUY

This company has the worst customer service/product service that I have ever seen. My Panel blanked out and they unable to send any one out for repair for 6 days. No ones home should be unprotected for that long if they are paying for a service. They focus on sales and is unable and unwilling to service the product after they have made the sale. They have very few service people and a bunch of sale people running around all over the place. I would give them 00.

We were customers for 3.5 years. After I canceled service, we continued to be billed for 4 months = $246. I have called repeatedly and continue to get the run around. Customer service acts like I am speaking a foreign language and they have no idea why the last 10 people I spoke with didn't do what they were supposed to do but this time they promise they are taking care of it. I consider this deliberate over billing a form of theft. I have received one refund for $198 and now awaiting additional refund of $66.

VIVINT: Research, think before signing a contract. A $99.99 bill resulted in an annoying sound from my office panel. I could not stop it. Had I not contact VIVINT and voiced my concerns, it would have continued. If $99.99 was a major issue after speaking with several reps numerous time...then why not turn off the services? It's sad that VIVINT could have that much control over an office atmosphere for $99.99. Although the payment was mailed 4 days ago, I thought this was the best way to loose our business. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE SIGNING UP WITH VIVINT.

Avoid at all costs. This company is a nightmare to get rid of. Either the sales person lied to me when they put in the system or the company is refusing to acknowledge a mistake. They have done nothing that warrants the higher price tag, I would recommend almost any other company. I've been a customer for 4 years and had a few minor gripes with the system, but no major issues.

You must pay contract in Full there is not cancellation for this company. Once they have you in there is no upgrading to better equipment unless you pay full price for the equipment also. They came out with a new panel a month after mine was installed wanted $1000 for me to upgrade to the new panel and another 200 for a doorbell camera. I will never use them again after my contract is out. Price is expensive compared to what they give you.

I was sold in obscenely expensive package of equipment and sold a dream that did not come true. I was told that everything would be Wi-Fi and no holes would have to be drilled in my walls to run wires that was a lie there are wires all over my house and several large holes that were plugged up with silicone caulk and looks God awful. The system itself does not connect to the Wi-Fi properly and drops out all of the time I am not able to fully utilize my system because I cannot tap into it. I was told that even if I decided to cancel my contract with Vivint that I would be able to keep the equipment as I have paid for it out right and it belongs to me. They failed to mention that without Vivint service all that expensive equipment is obsolete and cannot be used. I am extremely disappointed and thousands of dollars in debt now because of Vivint

Worse alarm system ever!! The alarm siren is super quiet. The door sensors are super quiet. The cameras are ALWAYS lagging. The cameras always detect bugs so all night my phone is going off for movement detection. POINTLESS! My car got hit outside my house at the end of MY DRIVEWAY and the cameras did not catch anything at all! My view limit is to the street and it still did not catch that accident. It will not detect person until they are ringing my doorbell already. Imagine if it was a burglar, that is a loss cause. The glass breaker goes off to any noise, even my kids when they are running around playing. One time I had a ball break my window and shattered it while I was out of town, the notification said glass break but I could not check the cameras to see what happened because it never loaded plus it took vivint roughly 7 minutes to call me! I thought it was my internet so I called and upgraded my internet speed and upgraded my phone because I thought since I have an old phone that the 5G was not good on the old phone. None of that helped at all. VIVINT cameras still lag and never wants to load. When they salesman came to my house he said it was NO EARLY CANCELLATION FEES and NO CONTRACT, you just pay it every month or it cancels like a prepaid phone so I set it up on automatic payments. THAT'S A LIE! They are charging almost $1,600 to cancel after 8 months of being with them. Every question I asked the representative, he would put me on hold to ask a supervisor.

It was a problem from the word go. I was handed over the system from the previous home owner and Vivint would not get me the same rates that the previous owner of the house got. Anyways since I had the equipment I was stuck with no option but to call them and get a new account setup. The sales person committed a rate and also promised me that all the devices in the home would be set up. The rate was not honered and I had to fight to get it. In the process a n additional new account was created. Then the person who came for the setup was not able to setup the glass break and the door sensors. I was told that those were not compatible to the hub . I do not understand how that happened on a system that was working with the earlier house owner. The installer had a clear agenda to make some sale. Then the disconnect saga.... I can go on and on...

Fantastic product but it is known for having lots of hidden fees. I bought there security cameras for my previous home and it worked incredible. I could access my cameras anytime and loved it. The only downside is it’s a bit pricey.

I just moved into my new home and a few young men came to my door selling Vivint. They have been going to all the neighbors with their sales pitch. I wasn’t sure I wanted to have a security system set up. They said I had 2 weeks to cancel. Well, one of the guys already started drilling the thermostat into the wall and changing out my locks. I felt totally taken advantage of. They offer short contracts now but I am still locked into my 5 year contract. They wont let me out of it. They have given me a few months free. I don’t blame the customer service as they are very nice and professional. I don’t like the company and their policies.

I like the product. I had sensors installed on 8 windows and 2 doors and it worked well. When an issue arose the company sent someone out right away to fix the issue with the sensor. Very affordable.

This security system is great but has some false alerts sometimes. Also we have had the panel disconnect to our home WiFi plenty of times where I would have to reset the panel a few times to get it to connect. Very frustrating!!

We have had Vivint for 3 years and we have never gone a solid month with consistent working cameras. We have had them come out countless times and they always tell us they needed to do an update. So they update the system and it maybe will work for a few weeks and then sporadically go in and out again. It doesn’t keep camera history consistently either. Sometimes i go back to look at something and it’s not there and other times it is. Customer service has never been helpful. They read a script and don’t have any answers besides the script.

I wish I could rate this company higher. They have grown big and lost the one on one service potential. I have had lots of problems with my system and I get a run around everytime I try to get it fixed. I am stuck in a contract and they penalize me for wanting to leave. I would not recommend them and hope that buyers be ware.
