Overall Vivint is nice and does what it is supposed to do and what I expect for the most part. I do wish that the upgrades weren't so expensive and the technology not so spotty. This could be user error, but it seems as though the batteries in all the devices run out way too often. When the equipment runs smoothly and correctly and I've very pleased. It's been very reassuring the few times we've tripped the alarm ourselves, forgetting it was on, that a member from the Vivint team called immediately to check on us, I was so appreciative of that peace of mind!

After first getting Vivint, the company and service seemed great compared to our previous company. However, after having the equipment for the last few years, we have had some issues. When repair people come, their response is that we need to upgrade all equipment. There is no discount rate for the new equipment, it is as though we have to start all over again. This is very frustrating. Because the company made updates we have to pay for for equipment so we can get quality service.

I use for both my homes. They offer an app to control security, locking and unlocking of electronic door lock, and camera visuals from my phone and have many other features. Been very reliable for past few years and never had an issue with billing or anything else.

Hardware was Expensive. I was able to get a discount on monthly monitoring for a few months after I purchased (and finance the package). The discount expired and I was able to get another monitoring discount after I paid the system off (buy it out promise). I'm not sure how long the discount will last (when I was negotiation keeping the system, the rep didn't make it sound like it was a limited time discount, but time will tell).

Vivint has been an alright surveillance thus far. Vivint installed a security surveillance system with 2cameras & motion detectors. Not filled with joy my camera's go offline & I can't see what's going on. Although you might have to call them a total of over 10 times like myself. We just signed up with Vivint and we love it so far! The outdoor cameras have 2 way communication and send a warning whistle to any lurkers to let them know they are being watched. They also included the doorbell camera for free! The young man who came by was extremely helpful and had technicians out the same day to do the installation.

Best security system I've used; we have the camera doorbell which senses movement and takes a short video for us to view later. What I like about the company is that whenever I need any assistance it is easy to get in contact with them. What I like least about is that, with my last contact with them I was told that because The sensors used were from a previous company I had before and because of this any malfunctions will not be covered by them. If I had this information before the installation I would have had the installer install their products.

Gave Vivint a try because the home we purchased had the sign in the front yard and already had most of the hardware built into the home. Just needed to reactivate it. Had no complaints. The service and interface was nice. Eventually opted for a personal system that we can run with no monthly monitoring fee to keep video etc.

Installed a Vivint system in my house and he loves it. The only downside is that this system utilizes the wifi for data storage and it uses a lot of data. The ease of access is great and they provide tagging for people and packages. We love that

The system is affordable and they offer buyouts from your current companies. Unlike with the ring cameras, there’s no extra charge for the video recording with the front door cameras. They also are able to transfer old systems to their units which handle thermostats, security cameras, door sensors, etc. the only reason I have for not giving them 5 stars is that their app runs poorly as far as answering the doorbell camera. When I try to answer the doorbell from my phone, it crashes or freezes.

I had Vivint install an alarm system in my home and used it for about 10 years before switching to another company. Their alarm monitoring is excellent. Unfortunately, you pay for that as their prices are very, very high. When they lower their prices, they only do so for new customers. As an old customer, I had to check regularly and request the lower price - usually by threatening to leave if they didn't give it to me. Your monthly rate doesn't include any Maintenace on the equipment they installed. When one of my cameras died, they wanted$150 to replace it. I checked and could buy an identical camera for $75 online. That was the final straw, so I canceled them and put in a Ring System myself.

The most enjoyable aspect of dealing with Vivint is dealing with Customer Service when we started the experience. The Service tech whom came out to install was wonderful and as of yet we have had a need for a return visit, system operates as expected. Just moved and used as a selling bonus

I was concerned when I had Vivint as it was a new company. However, they surpassed all my expectations and my then husband and myself kept using their program for quite a few years. When I tripped our system, customer service was excellent in assisting me. I was so embarrassed! They assured me I was not the only one who ever did that!

Great customer responsiveness, price is decent but more expensive the others. The app with service is great for monitoring all the bells & whistles that go with the alarm system. Very professional installation & demonstration of the system. No contract being locked into is the BEST feature!

No one better for home security. Can go big or small with all the things you need. Their stuff is so good you want to get everything. The Vivint sign in my yard and the stickers on my windows give me peace of mind. I’ve liked the way they call and check when the smoke alarm goes off or the police come and check on us when the alarm goes off and we are unable to turn it off. Their sign and stickers faded in the sun and they charge to replace them though. I do recommend that they answer their phone sooner and don’t go through all of the advertising, especially when I have an emergency.
