Of I could give negative I would. The system never worked for us. I tried to cancel. Was told I had to finish my contract. So I paid for nothing for 5 years at $54.00 per month. Then my contract ran out in May. I have been trying to cancel. Call them get told I need to sign a form which they never send me. At one phone call they tried to get me to sign back up!!!!!!! I paid over $3000.00 for nothing. I am not that stupid to give more to your rip off scheme. Don't know what to do to get them to stop taking my money. Guess I may have to close my bank account. Total con job.

I was told a 2 year contract, so when I call in to cancel it, no, it's 6 more months.......... fine. Well, 6 months is up, no you still have 2 more years, oh and we are charging you 80 dollars now, not the 75 we promised. I was lied to on several things, including the cameras. I am very unhappy. Save yourself the lies, and go with a more trustworthy company. and they want over a thousand dollars for me top cancel what I was told was a 2 year contract. So they lie. Run away from them.

ALDER been taking money out our bank account since 2014 even though we have ADT since 2018. My husband used to pay all the bills in the house he can't anymore he's very ill I was told he called ALDER to cancel our service in 2018 but they never cancelled. So the money kept coming out our bank account so what they are telling me I have to pay to cancel even though all the free money they have received for a inactive account their equipment is no longer in my home. Where is the money going on an inactive system? I went to my bank and stopped the payments from coming out our bank account.

Ive had the system for over 4yrs now , I've tried too cancel my service before the renewal date.i have forgotten my verbal password , u have furnished every other piece of information. The 5 security questions , account the money is taken out of , the amount , the day , the location , ssn# , still not enough , I understand security but geez if I can furnish accounts, the amount , the time it comes out, im just trying to cancel a service that is about to be renewed and i do not want that service anymore , I've talked to Customer service , I've emailed customer service , I just want it fixed

Horrible! We could never cancel! we sent the letter in, in the window that was demanded to cancel. We still kept getting billed. When our house was flooded for Hurricane Harvey and we had to move out, they would not let us out of our contract. Finally thought we were out.... just checked my bank, they have been withdrawing monthly for years. I will AGAIN send in the request to stop service!

Horrible company that had my parents that one is 84 years old and the other 87 to sign a 5 year contract. The systems has never worked properly the police has been dispatched to their home at least 20 times a month with no alarm activation. Now to try and get out of this contracted they have to pay $2600.00 how can they when they live on fixed income. SCAMMERS!!

We have had alder for over 2 years. The smoke and co detector has failed 5 times. Twice fire department was dispatched. Since August 2022 we haven’t had a working smoke and co detector. Keep sending defective ones. Last one failed immediately. This isn’t what we wanted or are paying for. Very disappointed especially since there is only service through phone calls.

when we first decided to use Alder, their representative told us that there wasn't a contract involved and that we were free to cancel at any time. however, now that we do not want to continue with Alder, the representative told us that we have to stay with them for 60 months since it was a contract we were consenting to when they specifically told us that there was no contract. Don't be persuaded into their deals.

The system is still down and not working since October 2021. Monitoring system does not connect to tower therefore there is no monitoring. Panels have been replaced chips have been ordered reprogramming multiple times and the systems still does Not connect. Customer service keeps putting you off to the next tech and escalating service to no avail. System does not work! Looking for a law firm to take this case against Alder and their contract.

Deceptive sign up they tell you what you want to hear and deliver an ok product but not great and not the level promised. I've had several alarm issues were it just go's off, it loses connection often. I've spent way more time with customer service in the past 6 months than I did 3 years with my old provider. Customer service takes up to a week to fix the problem which I have a call every day. Also when they tell you they will call you back they don't .I wish I never answered the door and talked to them.

They are a SCAM, they charge for equipment you do not have and it has been impossible to get it removed. They are charging me for cameras I do not have. Their sales reps are VERY dishonest, the call center is a joke IF you can get somebody on the line long enough. They are impossible to cancel within your 30 day free trial, This company should be shut down!!!!

Was conned into switching from ADT. Wish I never had. Worse company ever. Our garage door alarm quit working and we called to get it fixed. It is now 3 months later and no repair man yet. Always some dumb excuse. I wanted to cancel them but can’t. They said the contract is for 6 years, so I guess I’m srewed for another 5 years. Would not recommend to anybody. Wish I could give them a 0.

The cost is reasonable. The salesman did not make good on promises to provide services my previous provider was giving us. They insist on a crazy 5 year contract. If you move they expect you to start the 5 years over again. So you can continue paying for a house that you no longer live in, pay off the remaining term of the contract or reup for 5 years. Still waiting for them to come out to my new home. 2 weeks without a word. Worst decision I've made in the past few years was to agree to go with Alder Home Security. If there was an option to give zero stars, i would have.

At this time I cannot think of anything I like. I dislike the fact that my panel stop functioning, sent it to the company as they requested. Have been waiting for the new panel for over a month. I have no service yet they debited my account. They give me the same bull every time I call. They got a tracking number from FedEx but have not sent the package to FedEx.

This company, Alder, took advantage of my 78 year old mother with the 5-year contract deal and now she will have to pay them to get out of it. I cannot manage her account online because they have shut off communications to do that so you will need to call Alder and they, the reps, constantly give you the run around. This is one of the worst companies that I have ever had to deal with and would never recommend anyone to this company. What a scam this is!

customer service is terrible. pressured parents into buying a 5 year contract which is useless in their area. They were supposed to able to cancel if moved. They are now in a different state the house has been sold and they continue to refuse to act because my mom can't remember her verbal password. We have verified account by 3 other means. Have spent hours trying to get contract cancelled even though they are in a nursing home.

After completing 60 months of payments called to cancel service three times to no avail. Received threatening letters demanding payment. Will have to turn it over to attorney. When your 75 year old mother no longer has a home, moves in with you, and has been paying them $45 a month for 4 years, and they will not cancel the last year of the "contract" until it is paid 90% in full. They put themselves first. Believe what you read. I hope they are not in business much longer, save yourself from this nightmare #customerslast.

I really made a mistake choosing this company. No customer services at all waited almost 45 minutes for someone to tell me that I could just use double tape to replace my sensor. No other explanation. All adjustments have to be done ourselves and we pay them $54.99 month for basically nothing. It amazes me I pay waymore than what others are paying for the same service. I will be figuring out how to come up with the 90% to get them out of my house.

I have had this security company for 4 yrs and 3month due the economy with people loosing their job due COVID. I need to lower my bills to feed my family. This one bill i thought I would be able to do without. GUESS WHAT THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY $500 OR MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS TILL CONTRACT IS UP WHICH 9 months. This company has the worst customer service EVER...after several weeks of trying to speak to someone in account service about cancelling my service I am continually speaking to someone who keeps putting me on hold or better yet dropping my call. When I first got the service I had questions and spoke to Kallie about my concerns, she extended my cancellation to 60days and gave me her direct phone number and ext. but now when I call it is never available. No wonder they have so many bad reviews.
