We have had alder for over 2 years. The smoke and co detector has failed 5 times. Twice fire department was dispatched. Since August 2022 we haven’t had a working smoke and co detector. Keep sending defective ones. Last one failed immediately. This isn’t what we wanted or are paying for. Very disappointed especially since there is only service through phone calls.

My security system stopped working not even a week after activating it. I have addressed the problem as soon as the panel stopped working. Costumer service requested a new panel to be delivered to me. It has been over a month and i STILL have no received a new panel. Although the employee who initial registered me was helpful at first, this situation has prolonged for OVER a month and I still nothing. In addition, i have been charged for multiple months (yet qualified for 2nd month for FREE) even though I am not even able to use what I'm paying for. I've contacted costumer service multiple times, and i don't feel like my situation is taken seriously or anything has been done to resolve this issue except being told "we've sent a request to the supervisor". But still no updates on why there is a delay.

The gentleman was at our house for the longest time to make sure that everything was set up correctly, and he was nice the entire time. He explained everything to us the entire way through. The numbers are much bigger with Alder, and the voices for when the door is opening isn't so loud. The camera that I received stopped working immediately. Since I didn't even call for security and certainly don't have the money to waste, I asked for service to be cancelled. After receiving a message from my bank about suspicious activity I began "spamming" alder with cancelation emails. They waited to get back to me before different people started to respond. They wouldn't cancel then wanted to tell me I had a five year contract. How I could give someone else my rip-off account or "cancel" but still pay for five years of service that I can't utilize

From the start , I Already knew what I wanted to order and the salesman was telling me you don't need to order all that . He was explaining all the ways to cover what I wanted to cover with less equipment. That in itself was refreshing. I was sent the receipt via email and the tracking number. After I received the alarm system I also received a phone call from customer service asking me if I had any question at that point. Again freshing. A few days later tech support called and asked how the install went and if I had any questions. I must say I really appreciated those phone calls. As for the install . It could not have been designed any easier. Every step was broke down to simplicity. When I did come up with a question , tech support clear it up after verifying the the accuracy of the answer . I felt reassured I was in good hands. If I was going to complain about anything it would be I was on hold for 10 minutes before I connected with a tech support agent and that in itself was not too bad.

Met Harrison--sales rep, last night. His knowledge of the product impressed me enough to invite him in. Because he was new to the company...he requested permission to invite his supervisor to the house. His supervisor arrived within minutes. Their professionalism impressed me enough to listen to their information. I purchased the product. As soon as the deal was made, they contacted an installer, who arrived within 15 minutes...and went to work. Within 45 minutes, our system was installed. The technician stayed and insured that, we understood the system completely..to include test runs. Best customer service I have ever received as a new customer.

Enjoyed my experience talking with Rob. He was very thoughtful an courteous in explaining the use and options of their product and use of the Alder Alarm system. He was very detailed in explaining cost and installation process an also how long it will take for the technicians to install the Alarm system. The Technicians was knowledgeable an took time to walk me through in using the digital display control panel. They also gave me new key remotes to put on my key chain so I can activate or deactivate without using the display panel. Also gave me a "Life Alert" also to wear as a necklace for convenience. I will definitely recommend Alder to family, neighbors an friends. Thanks again!!!

Horrible Company. Alder is a con game. Customer Service is The Worst. The company makes the customer pay to Service their own equipment. The sales reps tells consumers their getting into a 18 month contract then find out its actually a 5 year contract. Go with ADT, Infinity or Ring. Doorbell. Buying a dog is better then this company.

when we first decided to use Alder, their representative told us that there wasn't a contract involved and that we were free to cancel at any time. however, now that we do not want to continue with Alder, the representative told us that we have to stay with them for 60 months since it was a contract we were consenting to when they specifically told us that there was no contract. If I could give this company 0 stars I absolutely would. I discourage anyone and everyone to use literally any other security company. My boyfriend and I started this service about 10 months ago. The first mother board we received didn’t work at all and we were told there was nothing they could do about it so we had to wait for a new one. It took a month for the second mother board to arrive. Once we finally got everything set up, it worked for all of 3-4 months before our door sensor went faulty. The sensor triggered the alarm system in the middle of the night. My boyfriend and I woke up terrified thinking someone broke in. Alder called us and the person on the other end was rude despite the fact that this might’ve been an emergency situation. Come to find out, the door never had been touched and the sensor was just faulty. We immediately called Alder asking for new sensors and they insisted that we had to pay for new sensors even though this is THEIR screw up. That was almost FOUR months ago and we’ve been charged for a service we cannot use since then. We still haven’t received these sensors. We just tried to call to sort this out and the woman we spoke with on the phone, Rose, insisted that all they can do is credit us $12 for the door sensors but they would not credit us for the months of service we paid for but weren’t able to use. She claimed that they’re waiting for a tracking number for the sensors, HOW do they not have the tracking number if it’s been 4 months ?!!! She stated the only thing we could do is buy out a 5 year contract or basically deal with it and keep paying. This company is a SCAM! We’ve been lying for it for 10 months with only 3-4 of those being secured in our home. What these people are doing is disgusting and wrong.

I got a promotion thru my electric company so I sign up for there system but I never moved in to the apartment because I lost my job so on August 16, 17 22022 I called them to cancel my subscription and they told me the only way is to see if someone can 5ake over the contract. I sent them numerous emails and I spoke with the customer service and all they do is give me the run around about cancel the subscription. I mailed back the merchandise but they still say that don't mean it will be canceled. I never even unboxed the product because I never moved in the apartment I was supposed to move into. Needs alot of improvement. Could have better customer service representatives. I'd like a call when my alarm is triggered not a text or email or nothing at all sometimes. Better security setups would make us feel safer. Better quality of camera's. Camera's are not good checking from the phone's especially at night time. Takes forever to load the app to even see the cameras. Camera's resolution is off jumps around. Camera's are not clear half the time. Poor quality in service.

Iffy at best!!! I have had issues with sensors not alerting when the doors were opened. I have had the panel go off when just sitting watching tv and alarm not armed. But the biggest complaint I have is I wasn't told that I need to register my alarm with the sherrifs department. I was fined for the false alarm and fined for not having my alarm registered. Really makes me want to do away with the alarm in all actuality.

My alarm has went off many times. To this date not 1 type of authority has showed up. Delay in duration time in app and home system update time, Long wait times via phone in re to tech trouble shooting. False sensor readings
